First time visiting today. Dont often leave reviews but had a really great experience. I had the chicken tikka wrap which was absolutely delicious. Salad was fresh and the chicken was very juicy. Hospitality was probably the best ive ever experienced. Super friendly and chatty. I even got given some of the Persian chicken curry to have a taste of on the house and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be visiting again. Im also the type of person who likes to cook and fine dine.

First time I go to this place, I ordered a chicken wrap and I paid for it. I been waiting for about 8/10 min and they were talking to each others. When I asked how long for my wrap they said they will do it now it will take about 5 min as they don't wanna give me raw chicken. I know that chicken will take more than 5min to cook. I told them I want to cancel my order and they said they will not give my money back as it will comfuse the till. I would not recommend it to any one

Traveled 5 hours and wanted to eat Halal food, restoration was welcoming and warm atmosphere, served by the manager Chris. Food was really, really nice. I definitely will recommend, price was reasonable for the large portion of food,

Very cosy place. Only for around 15ppl, but still with good atmosphere and also toilet.

It was like sitting with your family! Welcoming, authentic, perfectly prepared and presented food. If you haven’t been, go. If you’ve been you’ll want to go back.

Really disappointed that they have dropped the quality of the food - I understand that costs are high, but when you are told that the old style nan bread 'used too much gas to cook' you know things are bad. A really sad day, I won't be going back and used to go every week.

This restaurant is not Halal although they have a Halal sign in the window they serve pork, ham .bacon, black pudding using the same cooking utensils , please be aware Muslims avoid this place . They think we are fools and I doubt whether the owners actually know what Halal is or indeed eat halal themselves. It seems to me that in their eyes the Halal sign means more sales.

Good food for the price, nicer interior and seating than most expensive restaurants these days.

The Best full English breakfast in The North East of England !!! Friendly staff lovely atmosphere very clean and Tidy - We will definitely be visiting again.

Person who took the order asked which country I am and offered a nasty burger ever I had!! Burger didnt have anything inside. Just piece of chicken inside a bun with NO tomato, lettuce, sauce, egg or anything and charged £11.00. Please see the picture I have shared.

Persian chicken curry. Tasted amazing. My 1 year old enjoyed this too. Always fresh and tasty food. Usually go for a kofte wrap. Decided to try something new. Extremely happy with my choice. Will be trying the daily specials more. Thank you.

At morning walk we accidentaly found this cafe, our english breakfast and persian breakfast is great, fast service, and suppricingly affordable price. I'm expect more smile from the uncle that handle us. Thank u

Gorgeous food prepared by the most lovely staff. Both the English breakfast and the mixed kebab meal were tasty with large portions. Seating is limited but the food makes up for it!

Staff are totally disrespectful, went in today to get some food and a cup of tea. One member of staff barged past me on numerous occasions without even acknowledging my presence and the other member of staff stared at my like I was something wrong. Get some sort of manners if you want to run a successful business this isn't the sort of treatment that customers should recieve. (Just a quick note for the members of staff concerned, I think you two want to take a good look in the mirror as you two ugly t₩@*s are scaring away punters :)

Absolutely fantastic. Ordered the mixed kebab meal and it was cooked pretty quick, brought over with great service from the staff. Garlic sauce very nice, home made chilli sauce was delicious, not too spicy. The meat was unbelievably seasoned, especially the saffron chicken. Lots of other options on the menu including English and Italian options. Also had the Persian tea at £1, was lovely. Had mint leaves in it. Staff 10/10 Food 10/0 Location 9/10 Value 10/10 Interior/atmosphere 9/10 Do not be deceived by the exterior of this establishment, it is well worth a visit when in Newcastle!

Food is incredibly DELICIOUS. You could order the English Breakfast (perfectly decent I'm sure), but why would you? Try the specials and Persian offerings.

Their big breakfast is the best I've ever had, bacon, sausage,egg, tomato, mushroom, black pudding, hash brown, beans , toasted bread. And all for under a fiver. Cooked while you wait and served on hot plate. Not a big eating area but the dinning area was very clean with table's nicely spaced, comfortable seating with clean , spotless cutlery and condiments. A very pleasant experience.

I just got a bacon sandwich, but people were having all sorts of Persian kebabs, which looked really good. I'll have to try some another time.

Lamb burger and chips fantastic and big portion

Over the last 3 months our family have sampled nearly all the traditional Persian meals from Ali and his kitchen team at Moulin Rouge on Westgate Hill. They have always provided the tastiest lamb and chicken dishes (as well as "green" rice/flatbread) - altogether we have enjoyed a total of 36, and have never been disappointed!!

Always the best. Never had a bad meal here and never will I'm sure. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for the quality. Well worth a visit. The staff are top notch and it's always very clean. Top gaff!

I had the vegetarian mezze with delicious char grilled aubergine dish and my husband had the mixed kebab with tender, well flavoured meat and delicious red cabbage salad. Very good value for money.

Terminé con la pierna de cordero y arroz, pan y hummus.Las porciones estaban buenas, pero demasiado para una persona, y puedo comer, créeme.Teniendo en cuenta que era solo yo, pagué casi 20 sin una bebida, por lo que me sentí un poco agraviado después de pedir su recomendación, pero de todos modos fue una buena comida abundante y el personal multicultural fue lo suficientemente amable.Probaré el desayuno pronto, ya que puedo ver que siempre está ocupado por las mañanas.Es un poco estrecho y básico para cenar, por lo que tal vez no sea el mejor lugar para tener una cita o los niños, pero sí sirven comida para llevar y están abiertos de 8 am a 8 pm.

Recientemente me mudé a la zona, fui a dar un bocado rápido de camino a la ciudad. . . . ¡No nos decepcionó! El servicio fue excelente, realmente amable y acogedor, pedimos el desayuno persa y la envoltura doble de pollo y cordero, ambos hermosos, porciones enormes, excelente calidad, ¡justo lo que necesitábamos! ¡Definitivamente volveremos pronto!

We bought our usual kebab with rice today at our favorite restaurant but was very disappointed with the size of portion ie the kebab is the same size but the rice is about 3-4 tablespoon only.

Fantastic little find this, I was staying in a nearby hotel after a night out on the town. Went here for breakfast, and had the persian food. It was fantastic and a reasonable price. The English breakfasts looked good too, highly recommend this place!

Ordered chicken saffron wrap and chips very large! Plenty of food. Service was great and we were greeted with a very nice cup of tea which was on the house. Would recommend to everyone in Newcastle. I will be returning soon. 💓

I live about 93 miles away. If I happened to pass Newcastle,I normally make sure timing is right for me to enjoy a quick meal here. Ingredients freshly prepared, mixed grill is very delicious, juicy, tender,full of flavor! Bread is freshly made as well. We normally ordered the mixed grill for two and it feed all of us, two adults and two children. Great value for money! Children friendly!

food we were served was cold , sent it back and it was obviously they just reheated in the microwave. the meat was tough.

Sunday's special: Lamb shank Very delicious meal Fantastic restaurant located on westgate road. I would recommend the days specials especially Friday Salmon and Sunday Lamb shank. You can also try the saffron chicken kebab and don't forget to drink Persian tea

Went there due to very good reviews from other people and I can say that this restaurant is worth to visit. The staff was friendly, the pasta was really delicious and reasonably priced.

Excellent food and very friendly restaurant. If you are a Persian you will find it comforting and if you are not you will feel the hospitality and generosity of Persians. A quaint atmosphere. You can go there for just a cup of tea or a meal. In both cases you are guaranteed a pleasant experience.

El especial del domingo aquí es Mahicheh, cordero con Sabzi Polo, arroz basmati al vapor mezclado con hierbas verdes recién cortadas. La combinación de sabores es extremadamente potente y absolutamente deliciosa. Incluso la segunda vez. OH tenía un pincho de pollo y el otro pincho de cordero picado a la parrilla, Kofta. Pidió que esto se sirviera con arroz verde después de haber mirado el mío con anhelo en la visita anterior. El servicio siempre se adapta a las necesidades individuales, así que no dude en preguntar. La comida es excelente y una buena relación calidad-precio. He estado viniendo aquí por un tiempo y todavía disfruto de nuestras visitas. Muy recomendable para cualquiera que quiera probar la cocina persa en su mejor y excelente relación calidad-precio. Para los que no lo hacen, sirven un excelente desayuno.

Recientemente estuve cerca y cenamos dos veces en la cafetería. En ambas ocasiones, la Comida era sabrosa, porciones generosas con una deliciosa ensalada fresca para acompañar. Calificaría el pan plano como posiblemente el mejor que he tenido con la envoltura de cordero. Gran servicio y gran valor.

Nos recomendaron este lugar por un local, y no nos decepcionó. Habla con el dueño y él puede hacer cosas a tu gusto. Teníamos kebabs, y los panes eran excelentes. Fue tan bueno que comimos allí, dos de las tres noches que estuvimos en la ciudad.

Very delicious food and extremely reasonable price. Everything was good but the falafel was a highlight, as was the daily special which was curry the day we visited. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a great, cheap, relaxed meal.
