11 of us (pre-booked) arrived on the evening of Friday, 6th March for diner. What a warm welcome from Karen it was. Drinks orders quickly taken and fulfilled. Food arrived shortly afterward. Good, tasty, wholesome pub grub. Discovered that Karen and I both were from the Rugby area at one stage, so had a little chat about how it had changed. If I'm ever in the area again, I shall be back to sample the hospitality again. John T.

What a lovely friendly local pub! The owner gave us a lift home when we couldn't get a taxi, we had a delicious meal in front of a roaring fire, and ended with an unbelievably tasty crumble and custard. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Caravanning nearby and went to the Nags Head in Peterchurch. Although it looks like a Farmer’s pub, the welcome is warm and the food very good. Totally flexible to how you want your meal prepared as it is all freshly prepared, so can cater for most allergies. Karen and Rob are friendly and happy to chat as required. We liked so much we went back again for Dinner and then on Sunday for lunch. A great experience and good value for money.

We booked in here for an evening meal during our overnight stay in the village of Peterchurch. The proprietors were super friendly and welcomed us warmly. We were given the option of sitting in the quieter dining area which suited us fine so we could relax after a long days walk. My friend is a vegetarian and the options were a bit limited - we were advised that it is best to phone ahead to ensure there were more options to choose from which I guess is worth knowing if you are a veggie. Even so the service and food we had was great and just what we needed - and was very reasonably priced. We would definitely eat here again.

The food was hot, tasty and served relatively quickly. We were a party of nine staying nearby in June. A few of us visited the pub for lunch. We found a real welcome from staff and locals, delicious food, and a range of local beers.

Needed lunch on a Sunday, checked the Internet. This place rated 5 stars. Didn't book. Just called in. Was seated within 5mins. Ordered Sunday lunch. Turkey cooked dinner was faultless. Drinks( pint of cider & what was supposed to be a small white wine & lemonade} totalled £7.70. Small white wine!! Was actually quite generous & put my partner to sleep. Will return ASAP.

We were very warmly welcomed by the delightful hosts when we called in for lunch part way through our walk, and stayed to watch the royal wedding in the bar with the friendly locals. Best tuna mayo sandwiches I’ve ever tasted.

The pub is extremely well decorated and traditional! Lovely staff and a charming barman! Karen, the chef, cooks up a storm in the kitchen!

Discovered this gem while staying in the area for 60th birthday celebration. Hosts accommodated our party of adults and children and made us feel like old friends. Food is “no frills” but I challenge any upmarket restaurant to beat their steaks and fresh fish...delicious and presented just as you like it. Thanks for completing my birthday week with your hospitality and fab food. Eat here, people, it’s great,

The pub is very welcoming and the fish and chips on a Friday night are the best in the area. Highly recommended.

We cycled over 10 miles to visit this entity which apparently has not been a tea room for over 3 years. It is still showing on the Herefordshire publicity material and cycle guides as a tea room. The

You have to go a long way to find a pub doing traditional pub food. Pubs these days seem to have gone down the gastro root, what a pleasure to find a place doing pie and chips, gammon and chips etc. i

This is a sad review as we learned that the new owners are closing the B and B in August for a indefinite period. We had a great time very welcoming and a great breakfast. Good luck Gerry and Roger.
