We had an evening meal which was excellent, we shared a Halloumi starter then my husband had the hunters chicken and I had the bacon and mushroom tagliatelle, the portions were very generous and it was all very tasty, we would definitely eat here again.

The first night we ate here the food was freshly cooked and the portions large so we booked for the next night. Unbeknown to us there was a Christening that afternoon and when we entered the restaurant we were told the kitchen weren't taking any orders. We mentioned that we had previously booked a table and we were accommodated, but as the only guests in the restaurant we felt unwelcome and wished we had gone elsewhere. We were not offered more drinks or dessert so decided to leave. It was our wedding anniversary and we felt disappointed.

Having been for a meal the night before where we could not manage a Desert we returned to try the Cheesecake, are we glad we did..... Yep. Presentation 10/10, taste 10/10, even the Ice-cream gets a 9.5/10, mainly cos it’s too cold, my teeth don’t play well with cold things... lol

We were staying close by in an excellent Guest House (Review to follow) and wanted to try places close to us. Thanks to my friend “Google” I spotted the No.29 Bar. It is situated in The Kensington Hotel, thankfully allowing non-residents access to it, via the side entrance. We wandered in at around 8pm, it was quiet but the furnishings oozed Class, as did the Bar area. We were soon being shown to a table and after a brief look at the Menu, we both went with Burgers. Yes I know, not very exciting but it was what we fancied. One was a Black & Blue Burger, smothered in melted Stilton Cheese and with a lovely large flat Mushroom to top it off. Of course is came with chips, which were better than 90% of places serve, hot, crispy and they were soft centered, just like me.... The Burger was cooked to perfection and everything else was just as good. The other Burger was served with Prawns in a Marie Rose Sauce. To say it came with lots of prawns would be an understatement, they were as least two deep on top of the tasty Burger, dozens of them. Salad and Chips, again, all very good indeed. We were both hungry but after the Burgers there was no way we could manage a Desert. So next had to be drinks. It had been a long hot day and we needed a nice cold drink but not a generic Pint of Lager or Ale, something refreshing and tasty. We opted for Midori (Melon Liqueur) with lashings of Ice and topped of with crushed Mint Leaves and Lemonade. Fresh, slightly minty, Melon flavour and oh so refreshing. OK, I may have ranted on about the food but wait, there’s more..... The final Bill was about the same as in most well known Pub Chains, however, the decor, the Staff, the Food, The Drinks were on another planet in comparison. In closing I must add, that we returned mid afternoon the following day to have the Desert we had drooled over the night before. Cheesecake. Made to order, yes that’s right it was made right there and then. Was it good ? It was stunning, beyond spectacular it was a dream. Try it, your mouth will love you for ever. We are only in Yarmouth for another few days but we will be in here again. To find a place with good food is one thing but to find one with service, ambiance and prices like these is nothing short of a miracle.

OMG - the Sunday lunch was perfect - I said like Mum made but on hindsight my grandmother's were more like this. The veg and gravy were so spot on and they culd not have been more obliging - I am definitely going back and taking my elderly friend there for a treat.

Myself, my fiance and our 2 dogs stayed here for 2 nights in October. What a hotel, so welcoming and so kind. I suffer from PTSD, and had a bit of a breakdown whilst sat outside, and the owner of the hotel was amazing. He couldn't do enough for me. The only and I mean only downside was there was no hair dryer, which didn't affect me at all as I always take my own no matter where I go. The breakfast was wonderful, the bar was great and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in. Well done The Kensington. If I could give you a 10* rating I would.
