I was surprised at what a great quality Mediterranean meal we had here. The whipped feta was exactly the texture you'd hope - creamy and soft, with perfect spices. The lamb and beef tartare were juicy and savory. Plus, they actually made a great espresso! Didn't expect that at all, but it was a great apertif.

One of the best restaurants in town, in fact I came down twice for lunch in between my conference talks over the past week. I would describe it as modern European cuisine in tapas style plates. Desserts (I had the semifreddo and that deconstructed affogato) are thoughtful and well executed.

5 stars on every front. Service and friendliness of staff was superb. Food was superbly imagined, tapas like you never knew you wanted until you had it. Never had crispy artichokes in burnt butter before, but I will be having it again. Star dish was the Hispi Cabbage in anchovy hollandaise, closely followed by cod cheeks and crab tubetta. Fantastic, will be returning soon.

We went for dinner yesterday, the staff was amazing, the restaurant was cozy and nice, the food was amazing and our waitress lovely, she even prepared this little surprise even we had not asked for it. We recommend the sea trout and lamb! One of the best meals I’ve had in the UK, so if you’re in Glasgow, book a table and enjoy.

My wife and I visited Glasgow recently and had the best experience eating at this restaurant. The tapas style of Ox and Finch was perfect for us as we wanted to try a bit of all the local cuisine. This was probably our favorite restaurant on our European trip. Would recommend to anyone!

It’s overrated. Still, I would recommend it to a friend. We ordered duck salad, cod cheeks, rump fillet, lamb shoulder and warm ginger cake. Duck salad and rump fillet were tasty. Ginger cake was a bit too sweet for my taste. A hit and a miss I would say.

The staff was amazing and so was the atmosphere. I went around 6 pm and they started to dim the lights. It gave a very homey feeling with the candle on the table. The food was pretty good. I would recommend if you’re looking for a place to go eat.

I'm afraid to say I wasn't particularly sold on the food at Ox & Finch. The restaurant itself is lovely, as is the service, I was just underwhelmed with the food that we ordered. Everything was delicately flavoured, and I really prefer something with stronger complex flavours. I will possibly be back in future and will update this review accordingly, as the quality of the ingredients was good.

Visited on a Thursday night to meet old friends. We had a variety of small plates and all were great, we had 12 and a good percentage of the menu. The Portuguese Red was great and the special Spanish red wine (can't remember the grape) was stunning. All in a great night thanks to the whole team.

We love this place - tapas style, small dish, price is reasonable to share in big groups (do come in big groups so you can try most of the menu - we regretted not having friends in Glasgow to try this). Definitely will come back! It seemed like they have seasonal menu and change up the dish, so we didn't get the recommended beef caparccio. However, the rest of the menu piqued our interest. We have: - Beef tartare (11/10): Presentation was ON POINT! The beef was sweet, umami, the egg yolk was light and airy, croutons added lots of crunchy character and made it so fun in the mouth to eat. The horseradish gave a fresh and refreshing taste. AMAZING! - Stone bass crudo (7/10): The fish was fresh, chewy, nice + paired well with the sauce. Definitely on the saltier side so we thought it would go well with some white wine. However, we don't like the hazelnut - it wasn't crunchy, the particularly hazelnut taste didn't blend well. - Spiced haddock (9/10): The spice was amazing + the SAUCE. We licked the dish clean. - Blood orange and fennel panzanella (9/10): The spice was amazing + the SAUCE. We licked the dish clean. Even at 4pm, the place still had 4-5 tables so definitely recommend reservations.

On the recommendations of the backpacker's guide, we made a detour for lunch at Ox ans Finch. It is ultimately in a place of interest, since it is right next to the park and the university, which are full of things to see. The plates offered turned out to be deliciously crafted, and with their attractive price, taking a few is very tempting! In the form of greatly improved tapas, these appetizers, quite copious, make up a whole meal in themselves, both very fresh and filling. The few choices we tried were full of surprises, as the flavors were pleasantly complex. Go there with your eyes closed! 💯

The perfect dining experience! This was our second visit to Ox & Finch (the first in pre-Covid times) and it was just as we remembered it; outstanding from start to finish! Every single dish we ordered was exceptional; you can tell that every dish has been thought through diligently and utilises the best ingredients with outstanding care to detail. The recommendations from their excellent staff were amazing even though one recommended dish was out of my comfort zone it was perfectly balanced and tasted sublime - so thank you for making the recommendation. I doubt there is a better restaurant in the UK let alone Glasgow which compares with the experience and food at Ox & Finch - this is not hyperbole on my part, I have dined in everything from casual establishments to Michelin starred restaurants across the world and I, personally, think this is the best restaurant I've ever eaten in - I only wish I lived closer so I could do so more regularly. The range of dishes allows for any and all palettes to be satisfied, we ordered a number of dishes (some pictured) and they all complemented each other; thanks to the recommendations. The staff are very attentive without being overbearing and on this particular visit they went above and beyond which was very much unexpected but very much appreciated. They engage when you wish to and leave you to enjoy in the perfect balance. I cannot recommend them highly enough, whether a local or on a visit to Glasgow make sure you book in for the perfect dining experience at Ox & Finch.

An explosion of flavours and really top quality culinary experience. Subtle and different tastes with every bite across starting dishes, to mains to the desserts. Connor has served us in a previous restaurant and is still his welcoming and hilarious self, we were welcomed by Suzanne and Angus possibly gave the most wonderfully knowledgable, passionate and fun run down of the menu. 3 absolute credits to this wonderful restaurant. Some of our favourites were the whipped feta, cod cheeks, crab tarblet, artichokes and the custard tart. Everything we had was fantastic.

Amazing first visit to this fabulous eatery. Food was delicious and small plates allowed us to try some differet dishes. We were really impressed by the warm welcome and attention by the staff which felt genuine and not over the top! Loved the fact that the staff, not on duty, were enjoying a 'tasting' session of new dishes whilst we were there. Ox and Finch is a Finnieston trailblazer, even if it slightly off the main Finnieston strip. An excellent eating place. Genuine sharing plateds, superb kitchen (F1 originesiI understand). We had been often not long after it opened. We hadn't been for a while, Covid and trying to book too late. But as good as ever. Great ambience, semi industrial steam punk vibe. On the mark service. Food magnificent. Great wine list. By the glass, carafe and bottle. Cocktail list looked but didn't try any. Real sharing plates, great ambience and an adventurous extremely talented kitchen. The service provided by the female staff member not wearing work clothes was incredibly disappointing. She displayed a disrespectful attitude, remained silent when serving the food, and almost threw the plate on the table. If the reason is that she's facing challenges in life, I hope she can find a better situation where she doesn't need to work with such a poor attitude. I refrained from giving a one-star rating due to the commendable quality of the food and the positive demeanor of the other, more professional staff members.

It's an informal restaurante with fine food. I'd go for 2 tapas p/p of the main dishes, some tapas are heavier that others, and if you are left with room for more, you could order someting else. We order 5 tapas between 2 people and we were very much full at the end. We couldn't handle a desert each, so we had to share one but it was really worth the efford. The lamb was the only dish that was a bit disappointing, also I would recommend to go easy on the sauce, it takes over the flavours specially the green sauce. The service it's fast and good, the atmosphere is relaxed.

My partner and I have been to Ox + Finch three times now over the past year. The first time we were absolutely surprised and impressed. Everything, including the service, food and drinks, were perfect. The second time everything was still pretty on par. However, some of our favorites lacked consistency - like the flatbread that comes with the whipped feta. Overall, we still enjoyed everything. We went back last night and were reminded of the first time we went. We finally were able to sit in the two-seater booth, which took the cake as our favorite seat. You're still in the middle of the busy restaurant but feel like you're in your own little world! We tried some of our usuals and some new dishes - flatbread was amazing once again! The slow-cooked lamb shoulder reminded me both in texture and taste (especially the crisped edges) of roasted pig/pork. I thoroughly enjoyed it with barley but could do without the salsa verde (which was a disappointing take on it, in my opinion). The one dish neither of us enjoyed was the poached hake - the flavors were a bit all over the place and some bits were very salty. The waiter noticed though and when we let him know he was kind enough to listen and take it off the bill. Each time we come, we stay for a couple of hours and never feel rushed. Service is always kind and thorough - you're never staring at dirty plates for a long time and service notes when something is amiss or when you need new napkins or utensils. Standouts: whipped feta, cod cheeks/chorizo, slow cooked lamb shoulder, ginger cake dessert (although I would have loved it with something colder than the creme fraiche, I stole some of my partner's semifreddo), drinks Definitely make a reservation, get a few dishes, take your time, and enjoy!!

Brilliant restaurant, highly recommend! The food here is served whenever they’re ready and is tapas style. The flavours here are so delicious and unique! Whipped feta is really good, the combination is chilli and honey is so unique and with perfectly toasted flat bread is a great starter! The cod cheeks with chorizos and tomatoes and morcilla on sourdough is sooo flavourful! I love this combo! The sourdough is thick with a slight crunch, this combination is super delicious. The slower coked lamb shoulder with braised barley and salsa verde is the best dish! The lamb is cooked perfectly, the salsa verde and barley all adds amazing flavour to the dish. I really enjoyed this dish, 10/10, the best lamb dishes I’ve had this year! The atmosphere here is amazing, price is decent, the portion is a lot bigger than I thought, it’s great for sharing. I ordered 3 dishes which I find to be the perfect amount, and is solo dinning friendly. The service is wonderful, Angus is super friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this restaurant if ur in Glasgow!

週末非常熱門,只需要在官網就可以預訂桌子,熱門到我只能預約晚上八點半過後,但無損這次用餐品質。附近還算好找車位,餐點因為是tapas型態,兩人用餐會推薦點五道菜左右,我們這次點了兩份開胃菜,三份主菜以及一份甜點,相當滿意,價格也算是很合理,吃了這麼多還不到70英鎊。 前菜的炸洋薊很特別,搭配有點微酸的乳酪很開胃好吃。另外選擇了螃蟹,上面的蟹肉不用提,重點是下方的使用蟹膏來煮的水管義大利麵,麵很入味,調味恰到好處,記憶非常深刻的一道菜。 主菜首先是青醬鱈魚,我很遺憾我認為鱈魚調味的過鹹,搭配青醬真的鹹到我不太能接受,整體來說是好吃的,只是希望這份調味不要這麼過度。 另外燉羊肉非常非常驚豔,羊肉燉的軟爛入味,搭配沙拉以及香菜整體配合很完美。 第三道的豬排也是非常不簡單的一道菜,把豬排煎的熟度恰好,搭配用豬火腿及奶油跟巴西里的醬,簡單的料理更可以理解這間餐廳熱門的原因。 甜點選擇了千層酥,有點過多的鮮奶油但不會過於膩口,搭配酥脆的外皮,是個很適合作為收尾的甜點。 非常值得預約及前往用餐。

Whipped feta and duck liver parfait were both fantastic. Blackberry and plum old fashion was very strong, while the peach mezcal sour was a bit more pleasant. Rump steak was disappointing. It's served medium rare which is what I normally get. Rather tough, no real dry aged flavor, and a sauce that's overly salty and not too peppery. Tiramisu was also a bit of a miss. Strong flavor of coffee, but also incredibly sweet. Overpoweringly so.

We had a large party on a Tuesday at lunch and the only space was the private dining room in the basement. It was perfect. We let the Chef select the dishes for us and our group was delighted. Wonderful stop. Would highly recommend!!

We dined here 2 years ago, the wonderful memories reawakened. Amazing food again. The brilliant service is still there. 3 of us ate, we shared 9 dishes. The crab/crayfish, scallop, sprouts, beef, artichoke, pork, duck, parsnip, venison.. Hundreds & thousands of flavours! How does the chef conjure it all up. We visited here to celebrate my graduation. We ordered a large selection and tried 12-15 different dishes on the menu. Each dish was absolutely incredible. The flavour combinations, presentation and portion sizes were better than was even expected. Staff are lovely too which really rounded off the experience. Great selection for vegetarians, with an entire vegetarian menu to enjoy. I especially recommend the gnocchi and the burrata. Will definitely be back!

If I could give thee and a half out of five I would as the food was good and we couldn't fault it. The lower rating is due to the overall dining experience. The restaurant is crammed with tables and understandably they want to accommodate as many people as they can but the smaller tables which run along the side of the window are far too close together. Even without a pandemic they are too close. We shared a starter but then for myself I ordered the duck and two veg dishes. I know the food comes when ready but I really object to the fact I was half way through the veg dishes and had to ask for the duck. Easier for chefs I know but it just doesn’t suit to eat potatoes and carrots ten minutes before the main event! We may have stayed longer to enjoy more wine and perhaps a coffee but we were told in no uncertain terms our time was up and we had to leave our table. Less than a minute after this another server arrived and asked if we could arrange to pay at the bar. We refused and paid at the table, we had not stayed over our "time limit". A shame, as I said before we couldn't fault the food but being rushed out the door definitely left a sour taste!

My hubby & I had lunch at Ox & Finch yesterday for the first time.Interior was modern & trendy. Staff were warm, welcoming & efficient. Menu was really good making it difficult to select just a handful of small plates & making a repeat visit a must! Dishes were well presented, seasonal & tasty! Our favourite dish was the chargrilled sprouts & gnocchi.Overall great! Would highly recommend!

As we were visiting Glasgow and this had good reviews I booked well in advance. We ordered drinks and bread. Waited 30mins to order and the waitress admitted she had forgot about us. It doesn't say on the menu food will arrive when made. So my partner had finished theirs by the the time I got mine which was pretty rubbish!We booked for 18.45. At 20.15 the waitress said I need your table back for a booking at 20.30. I checked my phone and it said your booking is 1845-2045. Between 20.15 and 20.30 she asked four times for the table. While I was actually eating. At 20.30 the next party was waiting for the table. I asked for a taxi. She said your taxi is here. We left. No taxi. Returned, taxi on way. I feel really cross & disappointed we wasted one evening going here. I felt hassled. Tonight we ate at Dakota and the staff just couldn't do enough to make us welcome , chalk & cheese.

Not worth the hype! Expected amazing things from reviews and know the menu changes so maybe we were just unlucky when we visited. The skate wing and duck were brilliant, as was the bread and chips (but not hard to get right). Everything else we had (5 other dishes were a bit of a let down) and not much advice given like we ordered the ham dish which was just ham and gherkins so feel staff could have recommended some bread with this or something? I get that things come out as ready but the last thing they brought when pretty much finished was the chips? Seemed disorganised as obviously something that would ready quickly. Also felt so rushed when we finished. We still had 45 minutes on our booking and waitress was over 3 times within 5 minutes trying to get us to pay when we were just letting our food go down. Upon paying, she was hovering over the card machine as we entered pin. Think it’s more respectful to give some space. Think overall service could have better. Would maybe try again if menu changes a little.

If you are a fan of small plates and trying as many items on the menu this is your place. Creative combinations of food and flavors, each dish is big enough to share between two or three people (sampler size). It’s easy to get carried away and start ordering every single item on the menu. Outstanding were the fried truffle gnocchi and the cod cheeks. The ambience is hip and vibrant. Another winner in Glasgow.

One of the best places we've tried in Glasgow. A great atmosphere with excellent and attentive service! We had an assortment of plates including the venison carpaccio (which was the best thing I've tried in ages so highly recommend), skate wing and scallops. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Your see the Michelin recommendation in the Window and expect a good experience at least. In general the food was average - not much different than what I get in the cantine at work, which is also a good place but I do not think they have seen a Michelin guide inspector for miles. Service was rushed and wine at best indifferent. The restaurant is very popular and perhaps that is the problem and complaisant with its own standard. Certainly room for improvement.

Hubby's 50th bday treat and it was fantastic - food delicious, a delightful atmosphere, great service. Particularly enjoyed the parmesan and truffle gnocchi and pear upside down cake. Wine list eclectic which was fab to see and the Romanian Pinot Noir was a triumph! Will be back.

One of the best meals I have had in ages, and I live in a big city foodie mecca. Great modern ambiance and great service, too. While this restaurant is great for omnivores, it is equally awesome for vegans. They have an entirely separate vegan menu, packed full of creative vegetable dishes filled with interesting flavors. This is not a typical “roasted broccolini” menu. It is inventive and VERY veggie forward with DELICIOUS sauces and innovative shavings and nuts and oh my! It is best to go with other people because the food is small plates meant for sharing. If I could give this place 6 stars I would!

The food was outstanding, some of the best scallops I have ever had. Would definitely go back for the food. And the pear upside down cake was incredible.The service wasn’t great though in terms of manners, I felt the waitress we had was quite rude. I worked in hospitality for years so I get it when someone is busy or something, however basic manners were definitely a miss in the service. This was slightly annoying and it would have been perfect if we had more friendly waiting staff.

Went here this week to celebrate our daughter's birthday and really enjoyed both the food & atmosphere. Sharing Dishes are a little bigger than normal tapas sizes, but the range & choice on the menu was excellent. Service was cheerful despite it being busy and desert was served complete with candles! Late lunch here was really enjoyable. Food is tasty and interesting. Good range of dishes for a vegetarian. The waitress took care to point out that one dessert contained gelatine. Two savoury dishes each was plenty. Choice of 3 draught beers plus cans/bottles, and wines by the glass were of good quality and a wider range than in most restaurants. Service was excellent, efficient and friendly. Highly recommended

Worth all the hype! This place was packed on the Saturday night we went. We had the private dining room booked for an occasion and it was perfect, the menu did intimidate me a little as it’s so diverse and for ‘proper’ foodies but I’m so, so glad we tried so many different things. The stand out for me was a pork belly dish that was stunning. Highly recommend going here if you can!

We visited twice in a week and it was another fantastic visit. The whole visit was a great experience as it always has been. Having limited taste issues you will truly understand why I return here. All service personnel are so helpful,excellent wine menu,and a fantastic food menu. Every visit to Glasgow this is a must visit restaurant. Starter,mains,desserts as you will see are excellent value for money too. The veggie menu always offers me a great experience for flavours I do get 10/10.

From start to finish the service was spot on and the food, served in small sharing plates, was surprisingly inventive and definitely tasty. You could tell you were being served fresh ingredients. My only critique is they could lessen the amount of additional ingredients on the dish so you can taste the main more distinctly (so for example too many onions, too much sauce and humus drowned out the lamb). Still definitely worth stopping in for a meal. Reservations are a must in this trendy and crowded restaurant.
