I was invited to a private function here in 2022 and I have made several visits since . Great traditional french food , friendly service , chiiled atmosphere and good value for money . I would recomment the plat de jour and pre 7pm menu - even better value .The house wine is excellent

A nice little cozy café in the best French style red check table cloths etc. Had baked camembert to start which was cooked with thyme and honey very tasty. The delivered a basket of French stick and butte to the table (none of that while you chose £5 basket of bread carry on). The sea bass was to good sized filets with delicious Mediterranean vegetables. All at very reasonable prices indeed. I would definitely go back again next time I am in Edinburgh. It's quite small so booking advisable.

We don't have any French restaurants in our home town so we really enjoyed the opportunity to have French food in Edinburgh. Both the quiche and the chocolate cream pie with vanilla sauce were excellent! It was nice to be sitting outside on a beautiful day!

We made reservations for 7:00 PM and our table was ready when we arrived. The restaurant was busy as this is in a tourist location so we were glad we did not have to wait. The Service was very prompt and courteous and once we ordered the food arrived very soon thereafter. We both had French onion soup which was excellent which was followed by Coq au vin and a Sausage/greens/ mustard entre. Both entrees were excellent. We finished with the warm chocolate tart and creme anglaise which was the highlight of the meal (I licked the plate) Typically when you eat in tourist location you get mediocre food served quickly so they can turn the table for the next guest. This was great food and great service. Worth a visit if you are in the grassmarket area.

Genuine French food in old Edinburgh. Delicious food made to order. The prixe fixe 2-3 course menu is an excellent value. The smallish room feels authenticly French, but is tight when filled. Service can also be a bit slow at peak times, but that's the trade off for getting your food straight from the oven. All in all, highly reccomended.

We found ourselves coming back to the nice Grassmarket area of Edinburgh while visiting the lovely city. Very touristy area, but we had two nice meals here. My daughter was having some phone issues she was trying to resolve during the meal, but despite that the waitstaff was extremely courteous & pleasant. We all had the quiche lunch special & coffee. Nice seating out front, but the sun was a little hot at the time, so after a while we switched tables. The waiter was very nice. After they tried calling a cab for us, but there was going to be quite a wait, so it was suggested we could walk to Edinburgh castle. I just remember how pleasant everyone was despite my daughter’s issues & I greatly appreciated the nice service. Nice crusty bread & butter was brought out first. The quiche was served piping hot. Overall a good experience.

Such a disappointing meal with friends. Having read the reviews, we were all excited about enjoying a great French meal. The biggest dishwasher our waiter. Very rude and uninterested. Food was OK. Nothing exciting. Really disappointing service and wont return.

I popped in en route to the airport to get some Macarons for my son as a gift. I found them to be extremely reasonable, a great choice of flavours, and they came boxed with ribbon. The lady who helped

The food was tasty and the wine also. Staff was also great but the portions were simply too small and too pricy. We left without being full even though we paid 70 £.
