Snaffle Bit in Glasgow City

Great, beautiful shop. We stayed in the hotel next door. Unfortunately we missed the live music in the pub, 10 people played Scottish music, incredibly great. Afterwards good beer, very nice service and also nice guests. Children only until 8 p.m.!

The snaffle bit is the best pub ever! with the best staff ever like Greta bee croft it's a warm and welcoming place with student deals and karaoke night. Best pub in Glasgow!

Love going here! So cheap and lovely atmosphere when it’s not too busy. Love talking to Greta B at the bar in particular, quick and friendly service.

Favourite pub ever!!! Greta Beecroft is so lovely and helpful and serves a great aperol spritz and lemonade. Great prices for students and karaoke is a must.

Lovely bar in an area that's predominantly hotels and restaurants, a decent pint of Tennants and a Glenfiddich to warm our cockles, only pizza available while we were here but the bbq chicken was very nice. Would definitely come back

The new manager Nicola was so welcoming and had a level of hospitality confidence that was second to none … Chris was on the bar and was top class on terms of banter and service Can’t recommend the place enough definitely one to watch for future success! Great pub in the west end. Staff were brilliant. Chris and Cerys made us feel very welcome and served with a smile. Will definitely be back.

This is an absolute hidden Gem. The Manager was so welcoming and bubbly. Just an infectiously happy hostess. The prices for the west end was very reasonable and felt cozy and comfortable. Even bought a wee soup and roll to heat us up from the cold weather on our walking tour. Look forward to returning next month. A must stop for any one.

It's a local old timey tradition. Nothing fancy, no food except order in and not expensive.

Such a snug wee pub in Glasgow west end. Friendly staff and affordable drinks. There’s also a pool table for those of us who like to partake in sports haha. I’d highly recommend this space both for casual drinks and a night out. It’s lovely but not overwhelming and can get pretty mobbed on weekends but it’s a really nice space!

Saturday afternoon not much happening

Great wee place...go nearly every time I'm in Glasgow!! Lovely staff

Went in on a Saturday, late afternoon. The bar was relatively quiet, after waiting for 5 minutes I was advised I should go into the lounge to let the staff know I was waiting to be served, not ideal. The drinks prices in here are excellent compared to other bars nearby and is probably worth a visit for that reason alone.

in on Friday for karaoke with some friends great place to go! very good prices and great atmosphere, will definitely be back again very very soon!

Visited with friends, service was very poor from bar staff, three occasions I ordered and paid for a pint, three times I had to remind the bar man that my pint of best hadn't been served, three times he said, sorry I forgot. Found out later it was the said bar man's last night, not a very friendly experience, it was clear the lad had an attitude.

Really liked this place when I popped in on a Saturday evening. Not too crazy busy. A really nice pint and atmosphere. It has a quiz night on Thursdays at 9 and a pool table. Just a good vibe and nice and cosy. I would recommend

Liquid gold in the form of fruity cider is being served here. Let's be real, What else do you really need in life, honestly. Handsome bartenders are a big bonus too aha

Fun Pub, cheapest prices that Ive seen in the west end so far for a pint or mixed drink. Thursday quiz nights are great but be sure to book a table well in advance if you want somewhere to sit.

We've visited the Snaffle bit many times on our trips up to Glasgow. We're always greeted with a smile from the friendly and attentive staff...and if you're not sure what to have to drink, the suggestions start flowing. I had a very moorish pineapple gin with tonic which really hit the spot (very reasonably priced too) Thanks guys 😊

Visited the Snaffle Bit this evening for their Quiz Night. Very busy so would recommend booking a table in advance but what an atmosphere for a quiz night! Quiz master was very entertaining and played great music in between rounds, staff were friendly and attentive and they've extremely competitive drinks prices for the area! Will be making a regular stop here from now on.

Great wee pub for a few drinks after having some dinner in the area. Very relaxed and was quiet when we were in but the staff were lovely and helpful. The bar area has some TVs up with the sport on and a quiz machine in the corner. The lounge on the other side hosts a pub quiz and live music when they have it. Very reasonably priced, will be back!

Me and a few friends visited in July and there was a band on which is one of the reasons we stayed all night!! That and the bar staff where super nice and friendly! Will return!

Stopped in for a couple of drinks as we're staying at the hotel across the road. Nice range of drinks and very reasonably priced for the area! The girl that served us was really chatty and recommend some places to go for out for dinner (the pub doesn't serve food) This place will definitely be our local whenever we're in Glasgow.

I live nearby and have been to the snaffle bit quite a few times. Usually my flat mates and I have a great experience as the staff have been nice and the prices are good. However on Tuesday evening, a group of 6 of us were met with extremely poor service. We were told that it was “rude” to use the companies electricity and heating if we weren’t buying any drinks. We had 4 drinks on the table already and 2 of the group had planned on not drinking that evening. I can understand this if the pub was packed and people were getting turned away at the door for lack of seats but there were many free tables. She was extremely unwelcoming and was heard sneering and laughing at us with other customers from behind the bar. Had she not said this she would have realised we were waiting on around 10 more people coming who would have given her business all evening. Instead we left and will feel hesitant to return again. We were disappointed and surprised at this rude staff member as we are normally welcomed by w friendly faces at this pub. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else again!

Was in Glasgow for the first time the other Saturday and found the Snaffle Bit, a proper local pub with great atmosphere. Went in the afternoon and it was so good went back in the evening after dinner. Sat with the locals chatting and watching the snooker and generally just having a good laugh. Also the Guinness in this pub is nothing short of 10/10, a blinder of a pint. Can only respect a proper barman who puts care and attention into that.

Lovely and welcoming but they haven't done food for 5 years .... So on this occasion we didn't stop but for a drink, we'll definitely be back.

We stayed in the hotel next door and ventured into this little pub on our first night in Glasgow, we ended up coming back every evening! All the staff were very friendly and chatty, nice selection of drinks and very reasonably priced! We felt right at home, will definitely be returning!

Came here after a game of quidditch - it’s within walking distance of Kelvingrove Park and ideal for a warm spring day when me and my team are in need of a cold fanta!

Not sure, alright for a quick drink. Some locals having a drink, staff were friendly it was kind of quiet. Football and rugby shown on the screens.

As a regular to snafle bit before covid I was really shocked by the lack of covid guidelines as none of the bar staff were wearing masks and we felt so uncomfortable we left before finishing our drinks Needless to say we won’t be returning...

Fantastic atmosphere on the Saturday night I attended. The live music was fantastic and created a real buzz. The beer was well cared for and tasted fantastic. As usual the service was impeccable. Can’t wait for my next trip to the snaffle bit

One of the few proper pubs left, cheap booze, locals are always sound, quiz night on Thursday and live music Saturday. Not much else you need from a boozer.

Bands play far too late they should have entertainment from 7pm onwards.

Love the quiz every Thursday! Really great drink prices too, hard to beat in the West End.

Felt sorry for the one member of staff who was dealing with a packed bar. Very unfair on this person. Have more respect for your workers.

Fantastic service with a really nice atmosphere and good prices considering its location. The guy behind the bar was tremendously accommodating, given we arrived before they were properly open looking for somewhere to shelter while waiting on breakdown recovery. Will definitely pay a return visit next time I'm in the city and would highly recommend.

Old boozer. Expensive for its downfalls. Spend 50p more a pint and go to Ben Nevis.

Not many traditional boozers have a pool table these days but this one does! A good old Glasgow pub with a healthy Scottish vibe throughout. Decent staff and service as well. Recommended if you are staying in any of the nearby hotels.

Went with my Girlfriend for a quick pint after work, love the Vibe and locals that were there (even though I didn't talk to many). A classic pub with lovely staff, pool table and good prices, what more could someone want
