Picked up 2 fish and large chips tonight, quick friendly service, best fish and chips we've had in a long while, fish very lightly battered, super delicious, good size and proper chip shop chips. Yummy, not greasy, lovely flavour. Many thanks. Karen and Rob, visiting from Bedfordshire. :-)

The best fish supper I have had in ages, haddock was lovely and chips really good. It was very busy when we were in and some good banter going between the staff and customers, thoroughly recommend

Absolutely delicious takeaway. The portions are generous and all freshly made. The haddock was so lovely and fresh.

Curry sauce was lumpy and had white lumps through it. the fish was very greasy & oily and had a strong oily taste to it, almost like it hadn't been drained properly. , we won't be back again. Waste of money

We’ve just moved here and after a long and difficult day rearranging furniture we were too tired to cook. We called ahead and ordered by phone. We were given a time slot to collect and it was ready at the allotted time. Fresh, hot and crispy breaded haddock. Not greasy and lovely mushy peas, also hot! We will be back! Thank you

The welcome was friendly and welcoming and we had time to peruse the menu board before ordering. White and black pudding suppers, single fish and single sausage (the latter of which was cut into slices for the dog). The fish was delicious, flaky and the batter thin and crispy. the black pudding was slightly dry but tasty nonetheless and the white pudding was well received. The chips were excellent, good texture and not too greasy. All in all a very good chippie tea and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely return when back in town.

When we first moved to Auchterarder a few years ago, we quite enjoyed the occasional fish suppers from here. About a year ago we noticed the quality was a bit ropey, often the fish was over cooked and dry. Since lockdown we’ve been using it more regularly, perhaps once a month, and unfortunately the quality has been consistently not great. The fish has often been over cooked, and one time my chips were saturated in oil. I have had a white pudding that was inedible, it was so claggy and utterly tasteless. Last night was the final straw.... the fish was quite a lot smaller than it has been before, my piece of fish seemed nicely cooked for part of it but part of it was rubbery. My husband said his was dry. And in general there seemed to be way too much oil on our plates. A huge disappointment. We’ve given it enough chances but I’m afraid we won’t be using them again. Such a shame.

Had fish, chips and mushy peas from here, they were inedible. The fish was grey and rubbery, the mushy peas were not mushy and full of salt. The batter on the fish was soggy. What a disappointment.

needed to eat after driving north for many many hours and cooking was the last thing on our minds... decided that Fish and chips was the way to go. We ordered and was advised to come back in 20 mins when the next fry was scheduled, fish had some of the lightest batter ive ever had, chips were "chippy" ;-) but all in all a very pleasant and needed meal.

Was late back from work so got us a “chippy tea” told the fish was going to be cooked now which was fine, nice and freshly cooked, fish was nicely cooked to be fair, but to be honest at £6+ I was disappointed at the size of the fish itself, the chips were ok, 10-15 minute drive home, the batter didn’t stick to the paper which was great 👍

As other reviews soggy batter stuck to paper when fish unwrapped chips not much better. Visited on a cold February night when could have murdered fish and chips. Venue good clean and staff pleasant.

Very disappointed. Fish suppers with soggy chips and soggy batter on fish. AS with others, when unwrapping the supper the batter came off the top of the fish as it was stuck to the paper. Chips not cooked enough either. Overall the once very high standards have somewhat dropped and there are better places to get fish and chips...

The service was delightful warm welcoming atmosphere and friendly helpful staff nice area to tuck in inside and get stuck in to the most delightful sublime macaroni cheese cheesey supper my fellow passenger's had fish and chips and white pudding and chips and it's been the talk of our table since lovely fresh hot Grubb with a delightful sublime atmospherics with kind friendly natured staff xx love love love finished off with a nice bottle of red in front of strictly xx definetly highly recommended to anyone but in the meantime kkkkkkkkkkkeeeeeepppppp cccccccchhhhhiiiippppppyyyying xxx

Very disappointed. Two fish suppers with soggy chips and soggy batter on fish. When unwrapping the supper the batter came off the top of the fish as it was stuck to the paper. The suppers didn't even make up for it with flavour. Will definitely NOT use this chip shop again.

We stopped off here early Saturday evening and enjoyed the best fish and chips I can remember in a long time. The haddock was beautiful and with only a thin batter so you can really appreciate the fish. Despite previous posts, our chips were freshly cooked and delicious. Will definitely be returning when in the town.

Just stopped off with caravan on way home from ireland. Fish cooked freshly and chips not. Very disappointing. I think most customers would rather wait for freshly cooked chips than eat old heat ups. Maybe this could be the way forward.

Food is ok but oh my word what a shambles the service is!!! So many opportunities to make the customer experience better. Almost choosing to make customers wait unnecessary. It is so easy not to return......

This is always our first stop when we get home and a tradition to hit the Fish & Chip shop for tea. Great variety of food on the menu and all cooked fresh on order. The young staff are very helpful, so just ask if you want anything different. You might have to wait 10-15mins for it too cook if in a hurry, but well worth the wait.

Excellent fish and chips with excellent service and wide menu and delicious ice cream xx but my favourite is the macaroni cheese it's made fresh and so tasty and the chips and other options on the menu just sublime hot and tasty and cooked nice and fresh and staff so welcoming and warm and friendly xx has outside eating with tables and chairs in the summertime just sublime x

I got a veggie pizza and it was delicious. Staff are pleasant, shop very clean and good value for money. Staying in Auchterarder for the European Championships. There are a number of places to eat but very few are open after 5pm and others are overpriced. This was perfect and I will definitely be back.

we bought a takeaway 2 fish teas and eat in our car just as a change and we would recomend this fish and chip shop for anyone with a family go on have a laugh with your kids.

Stopped in past on our way south. The fish and chips were freshly cooked and excellent. I had the large haddock which turned out to be one and a half fish with a very generous portion of chips and more than filled me up (I can be a glutton). Would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

All freshly fried. The fish is haddock and very tasty in nice crisp batter. The queue in the evening says it all, it's obviously very popular with locals, which is a good sign. Well worth a short wait for the best Fish Supper.

Excellent value breaded fish supper which is cooked to order - if you have a long drive home then be aware that the residual heat continues cooking the fish. The chef is accommodating and can cook 'crispy' chips if you ask nicely- thank you. Overall,...

Renting a cottage down the road for the weekend & we fancied a chippy tea once we had arrived. My partner got a couple of fish suppers from here & it was delicious. Will be back next time we venture through.

Myself and my wife were staying at the nearby Duchally Country Estate. This was our second visit to the resort, on our previous visit we had eaten at The Fish & Chip Company and enjoyed it so much that we had to make a return visit. We both ordered fish suppers, they did not disappoint in the slightest. The chips were fresh, the fish was as thick as steak but twice as tasty! The little high seating area is perfect for those like us visiting the area to dine at, the young servers are very polite a credit their community. We will see you next time we're in the neighbourhood!!

I don't often eat deep-fried food - I find it too heavy and it often makes me feel nauseous. But a few months back, I'd been feeling a bit poorly, and not up-to making the dinner, so I stopped for fish and chips for my boys. When we all sat down to dinner, I thought I'd have a wee taste, and found to my surprise it was absolutely delicious! It was so good that reluctantly, they were cajoled into sharing the two fish suppers three-ways. Unfortunately, all that seemed to do was whet our appetite for more, so I then made the 12 mile round trip for the second time, for a second round of fish suppers! We've been back a few times then- always had fish suppers, and always the same high quality. So, you can imagine I was a bit surprised to read the poor reviews this chippy has received! Then I realised something: most of the poor reviews seem to be from people passing-through. Maybe they don't realise that there are two fish 'n' chips shops in Auchterarder, and from our experience, the other establishment is not in the same league. Ok, so that's being kind. My mum, aunt and uncle went to the other place for a fish supper, not realising that there were two chippies in Auchterarder. To a man they said it was 'the worst fish and chips they had ever eaten.' So there we have it: brilliant fish 'n' chips but do make sure you the name on the door is The Fish and Chip Company!

A couple of hours before going out for dinner I just popped in for a portion of chips as a "put me off". Plentiful & tasty! The staff were friendly which is always a bonusIt's a takeaway rather than a restaurant but as it was a little drizzly that day I ate them on-site at a little work surface (maybe 2 metres across, windowed & facing the high street) complete with stools & free newspapers/magazines.It was busy throughout my 15 minute stay which would suggest that he place is popular with the locals.Good value

I have visited these premises twice in the last year when driving home to Aberdeen. The first time I had a single fish as a take-away it was overcooked and like cardboard however I put it in a bin and drove home. I thought I would give them a second chance yesterday when I was travelling with my husband. I bought scampi they were greasy and the batter was sliding off the prawns, a smoked sausage cooked to a wrinkled hard stick and a black pudding which was cold in the middle. My husband was cross that I was daft enough to give them a second chance. Did I go back? No I couldn't be bothered.

So tasty and fresh. We absolutely loved the food, the only downside was that maybe the portion size was a bit on the small side. But great food none the less!

If you like paying through the nose for tiny portions then this place is most definitely fit you. Food average at best.

Although a wee bit tricky to get off and back onto the A9 dual carriageway, Auchterader's Fish and Chip Company shop has a huge range of freshly cooked edibles, (plus a bargain carry-out coffee from £1 upwards). Great haddock supper. Well worth the slight detour into the village. Excellent quality haddock very thick. Freshly cooked, when ordered. £15 for two large suppers represents decent value. Well worth a visit.

Our squad enjoyed our Fish Suppers, pretty much as you'd expect but the home made mushy peas were magic.Really friendly lady working behind the counter.

Was very busy as a bus trip had stopped for chips. Had to wait a bit as chicken was fried fresh & chips fried. Meal was brilliant.

Very greedy with chips he won't let any of the staff work with the chips in case they give to much wee small trays and if he thinks he has puts to much on the tray he flicks them back of and not good chips

We read good reviews for this place so looked out for it as we traveled through auchterarder. Very disappointing, very dry fish n chips. Certainly nothing special.

Don't normally get excited about fish n chips but this 'fish supper' was the best I've ever had, we had Bedders in Birmingham when I lived there and they consistently good but this was epic....zero grease! Unreal. Cooked to perfection. Plus friendly staff, nice place to sit in n eat and topped off with irn bru.....amazing!

They do really nice chicken nuggets and fried pizza but the chips aren't all that, don't get me wrong the chips aren't disgusting but they are my least favourite thing from here. Staff are really friendly, one of the best places to eat in Auchterarder.

Tried this on our second night stay at Duchally and like our first nights experience was a disappointment. Nice enough food, but nearly £12 for fish/chips and macaroni cheese/chips, left us thinking they were still charging Ryder Cup prices. We're back in the area in October no chance of a return visit

We make a point of going here for a white pudding supper on the way home from Glasgow or Prestwick airport every time we come back off holiday.We are never disappointed.Can't recommend highly enough.

Although they were expensive the fish and chips were really good, we got Gish and chips twice with 1 portion of curry sauce and peas and it was £17, I am sure I didn't even pay that at Rick Steins fish and chip shop!

while self catering in Auchterader we fancied fish & chips and found this chippy on the high St and we ordered 5 Haddock and chips and found them to be more than acceptable.

I stumbled across The Fish & Chip Company in Auchterarder on a recent visit to the Ryder Cup & was delighted I did. I had the Haddock with home-made mushy peas which was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and chatty and made you feel very welcome. We sat inside but you have the option of sitting outside on the small pavement area (weather permitting) or inside at the chip bar or at a regular table. The menu is extensive from traditional fish & chips to Haggis, white & black pudding plus freshly made pizzas, all cooked fresh to order. This is without doubt one of the best Fish & Chip shops I have ever been in I recommend a visit to anyone who is in the area.
