The Food House in Banbridge

This place in the heart of Banbridge Newry Street is a little gem..The food was delicious with ABIT of a twist to it ..The flavours of the dirty fries and Korean chicken was divine..It was good value for money and the waitress was great at advising what to eat .. Definitely BE Back!!

Had been advised by friends to visit the food House, couldn't find any menu online, so went, not knowing what to expect. Place is compact, and modern, got a table straight away, greeted by a lovely lady who gave us menus and told us to order at till when ready. Was quite a wait to place order, then another long wait for our relatively small order. Tacos were great for £7, and burger was to my sons liking, however, fries were inedible due to the Liberal amount of salty spice over them. My son has hearing sensitivity, and the noise and music was far too loud for him. We stuffed our food down quickly and left. There looked to be a lot of pre prepared foods for takeaway which looked great, and there seemed to be a lot of folks picking up pre-orders. Overall, a great place to eat, despite the fries, just not for us!

Nipped in this morning for a quick bite and chose the bacon, cream cheese bagel which was delicious, with a flat white to wake me up. Enough about the food. I received the most friendly welcomes probably in the past twelve months from waitress Jackie. Her manner is absolutely genuine and she is a speedy hardworking lady. Jackie, many thanks for cheering up my morning. (Disclaimer: I don’t know any employees in the Food House nor was I asked to post this. I just had a brilliant breakfast and wanted to share my experience).

Purchased a no 3 salad. Received 4 small slices of chicken in a largely lettuce filled takeaway bowl. £6.50. Queried why I received only 4 slices and was told chicken is too expensive and this is the standard portion they offer. Contacted those HQ who said they ‘had to be careful’ with their portions. Would recommend the Rosehip, Blend & Batch as portions much better value and great service. Won’t be back.

I tried the NEW Southern Fried Korean Chicken and chose the loaded fries option and I have been craving it ever since! My partner loved it too and we would 100% recommend the dish but also the staff from your enter the door to being served are so friendly and helpful and do their absolute best even when working in the unbearable heat! Would go back in a heartbeat to try lots of other dishes, well worth the money for fresh piping hot food in my opinion :)

We really enjoyed our lunch here today, portions were very big and food was excellent and our server Olivia Tate was excellent and very friendly, we will definitely be back.

Excellent food and service. We had a variety of wraps and toasted sandwiches which were beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommended.

Popped into the food house this morning for some breakfast, was blown away with my experience. Had the full breakfast, fresh juice , barista style coffee and excellent hot breakfast which included bacon ,sausages poached eggs,potato and soda bread grilled tomato and a side of beans. Put simply if you use good quality products you get good results , the excellent bacon and butchers sausages that are used here are not common at similar eateries. Keep up the good work guys I will return

Called in for brunch with the family whilst driving through and was very impressed with the friendly welcome. Was packed inside so had to site outside which was lovely. I had the Mexican melt which had thick slices of bacon, chorizo, sausages, cheese and nachos on sourdough! Soooo good and I was stuffed after. My mum had the smashed avocado which was really fresh and packed with flavour. We all left feeling full and saying we'd be back 👌

Been a while since I last came here. I fancied a latte and a sausage roll. Bit awkward waiting in line at pre pay till to order when people can't make up mind what they want. Plenty of noisy young customers about. Staff young and efficient. Coffee good but less hot than I expected. Sausage roll nice. Price of bill £4.40. Fair. Recommended for a quick bite for sure. Lots of pre packed take away meals for take away.

Cannot recommend them highly enough. The food tastes amazing and clearly freshly made, the staff are polite helpful and friendly and they genuinely make you feel welcome. The prices are great too. Online ordering is easy and hassle free too!

I came the the foodhouse on a Saturday lunchtime with my friend and our two young children. Firstly staff were super busy but were quick to come help us get seated outside with a pram which was a bit big. They made us feel comfortable and not at all in the way. The staff from the girls on the floor to the man at the till were so accommodating and funny making us laugh and chatting away. The food was delicious I went for the dirty fries they were gorgeous and nothing like I had tasted before. Will definitely be back soon.

Went for lunch today in the food house. Ordered the chuck wagon burger, Mexican bowl and mexican melt. All beautiful and topped off with the friendliest service. Will 100% be back soon and recommend it. P.s mexican bowl is a gluten free option!
