The Loaf Coffee & Sandwich Bar in Conwy

Called in about 9.30 for breakfast, shown straight away to a table and were the brought the menu. We ordered coffee for straightaway, and two full breakfasts, which we were told would take a while as everything is cooked to order. Well the breakfast arrived after a very short time, was excellent as were the staff. Great place to go, will try lunch next time we are in Llandudno, their cakes look fantastic, do not pass this one by.

Great cafe for breakfast after staying in Travelodge next door. Bacon sourdough barm and tea was fantastic. Staff were friendly and fast. Wifi was useful.

We called in here for a coffee and a scone. The scone came warm with a pot of cream and a pot of jam. It went down a treat really nice.

We always eat here when we visit LLANDUDNO and heartily recommend it. Here are a few reasons why - Welcoming friendly staff Good, varied menu Comfortable seating both inside and out. Food is served promptly and always well cooked and presented. Good value for money. Always spotlessly clean and tidy. I could go on!! Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Bwyd a croeso bendigedig . Lovely food and a warm welcome in a nicely decorated cafe. We enjoyed a tuna melt panini and also a home made quiche which is always a favorite. The staff were attentive and friendly as well as professional and the food was freshly prepared and brought out quickly. We couldn’t fault anything at all. Lovely food and service...we had Welsh Rarebit and a chicken coronation sandwich with a bowl of fresh chips...all delicious whole fresh food. The cakes looked lovely but we were too full. Ooo we went back again but its closed on a Monday xxx

Like many we went here based on the excellent reviews. It was a fairly busy day and we (family of 4) arrived at around 1115. Not many tables set up for four people (mostly tables of two) so slight wait, which is no issue and to be expected at such a popular place. Chap behind till was very friendly but other staff left us feeling that we were an inconvenience, especially having arrived near the change over from breakfast menu to lunch menu. We weren't to know breakfast menu stops at 1130 and then lunch menu starts at 1200, but a few unhappy members of staff made it very clear to us! We appreciate working in catering/hospitality is a tough and stressful environment but maybe at least try to hide this from paying customers if possible. It was busy, but surely this is what a business wants?! Plus side was that the food was excellent, especially the full Welsh breakfast, and price was fair. If based on the food alone we'd definitely be going back...... however due to the unwelcoming experience we had from the staff we won't be. Shame.

Always a good experience. Food is good, staff excellent and obliging. Staff work really hard but find time to be friendly. It's the first place we go to whenever we visit Llandudno. And clean toilets!

Excellent food and drink reasonably priced all served by friendly staff who go out of their way to accommodate you. Breakfasts cannot be bettered anywhere.

The place was full when we arrived, but we're told it wouldn't be long for a table. We were seated in 5 mins. I saw that the lady on the next table had the welsh rarebit and it looked delicious! I ordered the same. My son had the sausages with mash & Gravy. We also had a portion of chips. The meal was amazing! I had bacon & garlic mushrooms with my rarebit and a generous salad & coleslaw. It was delicious!! The sausages & mash were also delicious. Staff were lovely without being intrusive and the whole place had a lovely ambience. I have already recommended the loaf to friends & family and will definitely be back again.

Have breakfast every time we are in Llandudno. Lovely place, food and staff. Can't beat it, wouldn't go anywhere else. Will be back.

Lovely cafe I live in Llandudno and this one is one of the best cafés to go to the food is first class 👌 and the staff are friendly and polite.

I can only echo the other excellent reviews on the site. The cafe is located opposite the Wetherspoons pub 'The Palladium' in the town centre. Lovely roomy, clean place with very welcoming staff. The staff on different days were really friendly and efficient. I had porridge with syrup one day and a full English breakfast another day. Both were as per photos on the side and thoroughly well cooked and delicious. You won't be disappointed with the offerings here I'm sure. Thanks The Loaf!

I went on a Sunday morning. It got busy quite quickly but the service was quick, and the staff were lovely. The food and coffee were also lovely!

There on consecutive days (31 Jan and 1 Feb 2024). Friendly and very effective service. Relaxing atmosphere both times. I had an excellent latte. Breakfast really good and generous. Bacon exceptional - thick and tasty. Hadn't planned to but went back for lunch the next...

The Loaf is my favourite cafe in town. The staff are lovely, helpful & welcoming. The cafe is very clean & has a nice atmosphere & the tables are well set out . The food is fresh & home cooked & tasty. They have a very good selection of cakes & scones to tempt you. It is also excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

Friendly staff, good food, a bit pricey but worth it.

A really good cafe for breakfast or lunch. I’ve eaten there a few times and it’s all been great but if you want a recommendation the Welsh rarebit takes some beating.

With ample seating inside and a handful of tables outside, the seating choice is covered. Food choice was great with sandwich, panini, lunch, and specials on offer. Food wise it's tasty, not hidden behind complicated presentation and well priced. The location in town is central enough but also a dozen metres off the main shopping street to offer some respite from the hustle and bustle. Of course, there's also coffee which was very nice if that's all you want on a blustery Llandudno day.

Being local, myself and my family have visited many eateries in Llandudno and the surrounding area over the years. As the tile says we wouldn’t got anywhere else during the day, even if they’re busy we are happy to wait until a table comes available....

First time visiting but very impressed, atmosphere is lovely, plenty of space between the tables, the service was excellent and all the staff are very friendly and the breakfast was reasonably priced, plentiful and not fatty, they have the best selection of delicious caked and they are price very reasonable, I would definitely go again, highly recommended no wonder no 1 on trip advisor

Great bacan bap and coffee deal in thr busy transition to lunchtime service. It was out of season on a wet windy day in Llandudno, but this café was still on top form.

Nice place for an easy lunch in Llandudno. Big portions, tasty food, friendly service and well priced.

I absolutely love it here it always has a great atmosphere and staff are always happy and love to be helpful. I’ve found the more often i go there the better their food tastes every time. I absolutely recommend the pancakes at breakfast they are spectacular and are one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. I love everything that they serve here and once again the staff are the best I’ve seen. They are so helpful and happy all the time and they do an amazing job. They help with everything and are super efficient with everything they do. I walk in and they give me a great amount of time to see what i want to eat and after they have taken my order it takes around 5-7 minutes for my whole family’s meal to come out as they are super quick and great at their job. Would recommend to everyone and i absolutely adore it here.

I should have done this sooner. I come here every so often and I have never not enjoyed my food, felt welcomed, or not been able to relax and enjoy. The staff are lovely always smiling and always helpful. I highly recommend it.

On the small side cappuccino with a slice of sponge cake that was nothing special. My girlfriend's milkshake was good but she couldn't eat her rocky road cake. It was as hard as concrete. A nice interior but the young waitress was a bit miserable. A very average experience that's all I can say really. Two slices of cake a cappuccino and a milkshake nearly 15 quid.

Overall Experience 1. Gammon - too salty for me, chips are amazing, crunchy and savoury 2. Scone - too much flour, tough, not sweet, rough texture 3. Sandwich with chicken and stuffing - bread is nice, chicken breast is boiled and dry, unsure stuffing 4. Panini with hotdog and rarebit - average, sausage is mid, savoury, can’t taste rarebit 5. Service - friendly staff 6. Serving time - 30 mins 7. Affordability - £33 for 3 pax 8. Atmosphere - clean

Came in here for a warm drink & light bite for lunch and ordered "Welsh Cream Teas" for only £6.95 and wasn't disappointed. Amazing food, great service and the staff were cheerful, friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place

The food is superb the lasagne is perfect all homemade the restaurant wonderfully clean, staff extremely efficient and friendly.

Arrived late lunch when the staff were busy but we were shown to a table and served within minutes! The Welsh Rarebit was fantastic and we were lured into following up with a cream scone after seeing them coming out of the kitchen. Do yourself a real favour and try this wonderful cafe

There are many reasons why this place is good, chiefly the food and welcoming staff come at the top of the list.

We ordered a full english brakefast and was delicious and a really big portion , just remember about seaguls and eat inside 😉 , otherway you have to fighter for your food , this place it's really worth to visit for a brakefast or for cup of coffe

Lovely food at reasonably priced

Called in here on my recent weekend away. Great looking pub and great atmosphere with lots of choice of beers and surprisingly lots of different bourbons which you don’t come across very often.

Great cafe, always busy so you may have to wait for a table to become available.

Wow! Amazing place. Everything was first class; decor, service, food, the full house. If you're ever near Llandudno (or even if you're not) definitely head here!

Stop for coffee and tea, service was excellent as were the drinks.
