I have just experienced the finest tasting pizza that I have ever tried! Amazing friendly hosts with a fabulous rustic charm and home cooked food! Amazing all around experience 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍

Booked a table for 3pm to be told the booking hadnt been answered so a table was not available so we were made to wait at the bar . I given a table I ordered food for my family , only to wait over an hour before being told the food order had not been sent to the kitchen . On paying my bill , I had to point out that the service was very poor , I pointed out the manager who just turned away . Very very disappointed No apology just give me your money . You won’t be getting my money again !!! Disgusting behaviour by the staff

Pungent smell when you walk in and arrogant staff. Food was terrible. The locals look at you like you shouldn’t be there and are just rude

Only had bar snacks so not the full meal. The place looks great, locals vibe with a friendly atmosphere, but a few things that didn’t work for me. 1 - cat asleep on a table food is served at? 2 - ordered two type of chips thinking they would be different - Connoisseur with were just cut differently and mixed seasoned, which at best had salt on them. The label didn’t match the product for me.

Superb meal at the Mason’s Arms for my wife’s birthday, service and food were first class. Cosy atmosphere with that classic country pub feel, but modernised with touches such as great baby change facilities. Will stop by again whenever we are in the area. A pub this good is always going to be busy so make sure you book a table. Thanks to you all for making something special.

Celebrated our son’s 21st Birthday at the Masons Arms. We had exclusive use of the skittle alley which provided great fun for all ages. Adam and his team were great, the buffet was excellent, fresh, tasty and plentiful and everyone had a wonderful time.

I was enchanted by the pub's Christmas lights and made me stop for a drink with friends. The place seemed very friendly to us and the cost was good.

Went today for the first time for Sunday lunch. Was very impressed by friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. Food came quickly , good portions and everything tasted fresh and high quality. Good value . Would definitely return !

Quite large pub in small village. Range of beers. Quite long lunch/ dinner menu. Food was good. Several catsn0 seem to have free range of the bar.

We’ve been here for Sunday Linch many times…and we’ve taken family and friends as it’s soooo good. Excellent food…amazing value ….and a really great bunch of people serving - what more could you want…. In our top three for a Sunday roast 😋

Wish I could score it a zero! Very very rude staff and a manager who throws his weight around and is very aggressive. Don’t try to order anything as someone with an allergy as they have no training in how to handle that basic request.

Called in for lunch which was very nice off the £10 lunch menu...steak egg n chips....good service with a nice selection of beers and snacks...went back later during happy hour and was given a game of spin the wheel which was entertaining as i won twice...25% off my round and a 20% off...result. Friendly locals and sport on tv if thats your thing...worth a visit...

Great first visit to this place; very good range of pub food and more..also catered for vegan, gluten free and could do light versions of some meals. Reasonable prices and tasty meals. Only gave 4 stars for atmosphere because we were the only ones in there! It was very early lunchtime 😊

We have just had a weeks holiday in Mickleton and discovered this little gem of a place just a few miles away early on in our stay . We do like to vary our eating haunts but we were so impressed by The Masons Arms we ended up dining there three times . The pub is dog friendly and very welcoming. We enjoyed everything from pizza , steak , roast dinner and possibly the best burgers we have ever eaten . Puddings were also superb. Prices were extremely reasonable with great portion sizes to match while the bar stocked a good array of drinks . Thanks to all the staff , if we ever pass through again , we will definitely be popping in again . Highly recommend.

Nine of us, family and friends in today for some great pub grub. Service great, food great, pulled pork was excellent. Don't expect the ritz on steriods, just a great little pub with great pub nosh. The spend per person includes drinks by the way.

We were in the area and looked at TripAdvisor, as we always look at what is rated highly ... As you would expect very dark, and old worldy inside. However the snail trails on the carpet put me off a bit. Loved all the gin bottles used as lights. Nice friendly staff, tables were clean. Basic menu. OK pub grub, good for a pit stop. But nothing to shout about. Minimal toppings on the pizzas and swimming in cheese

What an absolute gem. Fantastic food, extensive menu and everything on it was delicious - 22 of us so we had quite a selection. We were all really impressed. Thank you for a lovely lunch

Beautiful food cooked to perfection

We had lunch and an evening meal here. The following day we sat in the garden for drinks. Go hungry, the portions are huge. My husband was beaten by the burger calzone but it was yummy. A cracking country pub. A nice atmosphere and good beer too.

If you hear homemade pub grub and think “ is it ?” . Well this certainly is!! Fabulous place with truly home made freshly prepared food. The chips are probably the best ever !! As per previous review the steak and ale pie is to die for! We had fish goujons for starters : fresh fish in amazing batter cooked to perfection. All freshly cooked to order whilst we waited . A real find that is worth a visit ( for the chips alone ). An earlier review criticised the wait- the wait is more than justified as they are cooking it to order

Sunday lunch with 3 vegetarians made it the perfect place to meet up. Excellent range of vegetarian dishes and the roast meats were delicious. We sat in the bowling alley/restaurant area and loved the huge map of the area on the wall and shared details and stories with my guests. A really nice place with car park, restaurant and real ales. A Perfect Sunday Lunch

Timber framed public house dating back to mid 1600's. Originally private house but converted to public house in 1800's. Good selection of beers with main courses and deserts. Children's menue available, dogs also welcome.

This is just a fab local Inn. The food is always so tasty and proper filling portions. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and can't do enough. Christmas Eve was an absolute blast! I've eaten in the restaurant area and that's lovely, but we prefer the pub part to eat because we can have our dog with us! All round result!!

Feel so lucky to have such an amazing pub right round the corner from us! Amazing atmosphere! Well priced drinks and delicious food (especially the Sunday roast - which you can also )! They also really go the extra mile on special occasions! This year they had an 80s party, a celebration for the queens jubilee, fireworks night and the most amazing Christmas lights switch on. Will forever be a regular and loyal customer here!

Very dog friendly, if you take your dog with you its worth using this pub as its 110% dog friendly, they do have a designated room that is dog free for those of us that dont have fur babies. Attention to detail is lacking, but the food when hot was well presented and tasty.

We’ve recently moved back into the area having lived in Stratford Upon Avon for a number of years. I’m very much aware of and used to “Stratford prices” today however has absolutely flabbergasted me! Took a nice walk and cycle into Long Marston. I’ve never been into the Masons Arms but I’ve been told it’s nice. We opted to sit outside, it was dry and we didn’t want to leave the bike unattended as I forgot the lock! Absolutely beautiful garden, in the summer I bet it’s a delight. I went in and got our drinks, lovely country pub, full of people eating. Bartender quick to serve and polite. This is however where the pros end. I first ordered an ale, the name I forgot. This was poured and then a Diet Coke and glass of milk for my daughter. This were promptly given to me. The ale had gone, no issues I’ll have a Hoegoblin instead which was promptly poured. I had two fivers in my hand expecting it to be under £10….£13.40 the bartender said. In shock I got £20 out and paid but seriously £13.40 for a pint of ale and 2 soft drinks?! I can only hope the manager sees this review and advises it’s incorrect and I was overcharged. If it is correct unfortunately we won’t be going back. Shame as it’s a nice place and we’d happily go in for a drink and meal every so often. So in short - nice place but expensive

Highly recommended pub for a Sunday lunch, plenty to eat and the veg accompaniments were cooked to perfection! One of our table actually said it was the best roast she had had in ages! High praise indeed… if you are passing it’s one to try, excellent value for money and particularly the reduced desert option if you have had a roast, genius idea! They got 5 orders for the sweets!

Had a lovely roast here yesterday. There was plenty of food on the plate and in the side dishes with great service and atmosphere. The beef was really good.

2nd time we visited here. Food very nice but the vegetables were too undercooked to enjoy. The staff work very hard but we did wait a long time for the food to arrive. Lovely old pub and the gardens look really nice. Plenty of parking.

I admit I was a little early. 20 minutes to opening. But seeing doors shut In front of me and told we’re closed didn’t warm me to the venue. I’ve been going to this charming pub for many years on and off. With soaring inflation and prices rising how can they afford to be, well put bluntly, bad mannered

The Pub literally gave me gluten despite me mentioning several times I’m allergic. Luckily I refused to eat it. I went to speak to the waiter and the manager and the waiter was on his phone and just outright said “well I didn’t tell you to put gluten on your plate” despite me asking serval times If the side dish was also gluten free and being told it was. The manager then said “what do you want.” I would have at least expected an apology but they are obviously just lacking in any human decency or communicational skills. I would never recommend this pub and I will be making a formal complaint about the fact they tried to kill me.

Lovely little pub. Best vegetarian roast dinner we have found in the area! Lots of flavour and variety. Accommodating with our baby and high chair needs and we're sat in a quiet corner. Also love the pub cats! Very cute! X

There was a dirty fork, cat hair on the table and despite one of the dinners being replaced with a random meal I can't emphasise enough how delicious it all was and so much of it. Afters was equally worthy of every superlative you can think of. Hence the 5 after an iffy start. If I could make chips this good it would be all I'd eat.

Went there whilst cycling the Greenway with the family.. Had a bouncy Castle up for the kids. Gave the parents time to chat.. enjoyed our food

It is a lovely little village pub which is dog friendly. Food took half an hour and it wasn't very busy but they did let us know at least. I wasn't keen on was the chicken ceaser salad having gherkins in it. (Never have I had that in a ceaser salad anywhere I have been to. Very weird) and hot chicken on top of the salad. It made the lettuce soggy and no parmasen cheese. A friend had The pulled pork burger and said it was a bit plain, it had no burger relish on. Yes you can put some mustard, mayo or red sauce on yourself but with a burger you kind of expect burger relish or sauce on the pulled pork. The other friend said the burger with bacon was lovely. One major thing that irritated me was, that while people at our table was still eating I had my plate taken away which I feel is really rude because not everyone else was done and makes you feel like you have to rush.

We go here often but today was very disappointing we asked for the TV to be turned over to the racing only to be told it was only the manager who could do it and he was to busy the 2 girls that served us were abrupt never asked how our meal was we ordered tapas .......well what was available we ordered cheese and bacon chips we got spicy chips with grated cheese thrown on top not melted and bacon the nachos were burnt very disappointing after spending over £40 on food and drink a bit of customer service wouldn't go a miss yes I accept your busy and your run off your feet but its so easy for customers to go else where these days im sorry to write such a bad review James but if the service isn't there I carnt give you a 5 * review like normal

Nice food plenty of tables inside and out

Easy to cycle to pub via short detour from Greenway. Also ample car parking. Make sure to check out the secret garden in the rear. Great stop off for a cold drink. The food wasn’t great on this day, a bit dry half chicken. Reminded me a bit of Tesco pre-seasoned variety.

We had a fantastic skittles evening/party with the hot buffet choice. Very friendly, well organised and fabulous choice of food. Definitely recommend thank you for your hospitality

We had been on the Greenway cycle path and their website said they serve food in the time frame we were there so we planned on having our tea, but when we got there they said not serving food today! No sorry or explanation! We were hungry and very disappointed!!

Nice welcome, excellent proper beer. I had rib of beef and Bakewell cheese cake if you like Bakewell tart will probably love the cheese cake. Don't everyone go at the same time I want it to myself. Going back on Tuesday.

Great little pub! Great beer garden lots of food options with lots of Gluten free options, vegetarian and vegan!

Was staying nearby and needed a place for some tea. Booked The Mason online a week before for a Saturday evening. Very simple and within a few hrs had a confirmation of the table. On arrival was greated politely and shown to a choice of 2 tables. From then on I didn't need to leave my seat. OK this may not be the case if really busy but polite staff throughout. As for the food I can say we had 3 tapas plates to share for a starter and was really nice and probably a little to big for a starter for 2!! We then had mains and again can't fault the quality of the food. I had the belly pork and the wife the chicken, ham and leak pie. Clean plates all round and not enough room for dessert 😢 Drinks were the normal and was good quality.

Tapas pork bbq was good. Tapas Chicken mint yoghurt was Ok. Blue cheese burger a little sloppy but was very very nice. Ham pie was really nice, definitely homemade.

We booked the skittles alley for a party of 15 . Such a great night, a really good curry & accompaniments , friendly staff , lovely new decor . All our group really enjoyed the evening . Thank you to Adam , Derek and team...

Had a lovely salmon fillet here for lunch. The presentation was superb and the salmon came out sizzling on a skillet. Very tasty. A very warm and friendly pub.

Do not come here expecting fast service. Had to wait over an hour for food. The staff couldn’t be bothered and just slammed the condiment basket down on the table. This place has definitely gone to the dogs when it comes to service.
