The Oven Door in St. Helens

This was my first visit and will probably not bother going back again, The breakfast was pretty poor, and as the kitchen is open plan, I could see the staff plating up. Everything is handled, using bare hands and when the lady was plating up the fried eggs, I could actually see the oil dripping onto the plate. Used a napkin to soak up some of the oil from my plate, and received a dirty look from one of the staff members. The whole place feels greasy and even the table surfaces and chairs have a sticky feeling to them. Behind the counter, there are visible greasy hand marks on just about everything.A 5 star health and safety rating? I don't know when they achieved this, but based on this visit, I dont see how that's possible.

Fab food excellent value for money. Specially for the breakfasts (mega munch breakfast box). Would recommend to anyone

Love this little cafe, the food is tasty the cook does an amazing job, well done to her..... Its tucked away along side the car, look out for signs

We come here from work each year between Christmas and New year. Very good cafe, with good food and pleasant staff.

Breakfast is 2nd to none absolutely brilliant. Plenty of choice in menu, really generous servings and price is reasonable.

Lovely place with lovely food. Staff really attentive and service great. Breakfast really tasty. Would deffo recommend and deffo go back as I have on numerous occasions. 😄😄

Went for an order of 8 bacon&sausage barmcakes. Cooked fresh and very tasty. Not expensive and 3 really pleasant staff. Typical work type cafe but good quality.

Great little place, never noticed it myself but the hubbie can sniff out a good breakie hes a wagon driver haha. They also do healthy options, it did get a little smoky in there (from cooking).

Good breakfast get plenty to keep you going for most of the day, bacon and sausage nice and tasty, recommend the wraps too plenty of choice but not to much to wreck your head,.

This is a great place to eat if you just want a bacon barm or a big lunch and the staff smile. It’s at the back of the car wash on the A580 Haydock.

Nice little cafe on the eastlancs, had a full English breakfast, really nice would recommend. You can also get your car cleaned whilst you have your breakfast because it's right next to a car valet place big plus.

Heard about this place from the local workers so decided pop round to try a breakfast, well worth the visit and short walk, can definitely recommend on both price & quality.

Had breakfast here before heading off for a day at the races and a few scoops, (line the stomach).

Whilst getting the car washed we popped in for breakfast. we had a full English and it was delicious! the staff were really helpful and the little cabin is cosy and has a family feel! all sorts of food is served so ill be going back to try whats on the menu!

This a great cafe, the food is lovely and the staff are great, I really would recommend a breakfast there.

Took daughter for breakfast have to admit was lovely 😄 service was great staff really accommodating lots of food to choose from, would like to try a burger next time! Definitely go back again and definitely recommend 😄

What a great cafe this is. Freshly cooked high quality food at great prices. Will def be Viking this little gem on a regular basis whilst working in the area.

3 de nosotros pedimos nuestro trabajo el almuerzo de hoy aquí y más de 15 libras en comida se desperdicia. Me dieron la puerta horno especial que incluye pollo y jamón, tomó un bocado y tuve que tirarlo porque era increíblemente salados. Mis otros dos amigos tenía pollo incluido en lo que pedimos y nos pareció extremadamente salado y sus comidas ellos desaprovechado. Las patatas fritas eran duras y conseguí tirado. Esta no es la primera vez que pedimos la comida de aquí y ha sido muy salada. No será para conseguir comida de nuevo aquí, muy caro

Sólo había un café y un bollo. Fuimos mientras coche se había limpiado. habían limpiado y estábamos listos para el cierre pero me sirvió un café muy necesitada y magdalenas. El personal es muy amable y los dueños no es demasiado seguro
