The Perth Arms in Perth & Kinross

This place is a real hidden gem! We booked to eat here while staying in Dunkeld for the night, and it’s definitely one of the best meals my girlfriend and I have had in a long time. I can see why this place is so popular with the locals, as the food is outstanding! The wine was good too.

Friendly local pub. Good service, food and beer. Enjoyed seeing folks with their dogs (rarely allowed in USA).

I thought the food was really good. I am quite a plain eater the steak pie was great. Proper steak pie not that silly bit of pastry on top at the last minute. We shared mussels and chicken wings to start both really good. The beer was good and staff and locals very friendly.

This place is a must if anywhere near or even worth travelling for the staff are so welcoming the ambiance is great and the food is fantastic the gem of perthshire.

Went here as dog friendly and stopping on local campsite 15 mins walk away - food was fine as were drinks. Good value. Locals nice enough. Pub and toilets just need a bit of money spending on them and a good deep clean to be fair !

If you are passing by or staying in Dunkeld please choose The Perth Arms as the place to eat. We popped in at lunch time for a drink and quickly noticed people in for food . Decided to try it on our second night and was so glad we did . Karen and her team were very welcoming, very busy for a Tuesday night but we were offered a quiet space in the lounge. The food was amazing . We ordered the venison and fish and chips . Chef Scott delivered some great tasting food piping hot and full of flavour. Very impressed indeed ! Nice choice of wines too. Don’t pass this place by . Cheaper and much better quality than other local places serving food. We will definitely choose The Perth Arms on our return to Dunkeld . This is a proper pub. It's unpretentious with a great cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The food here is delicious. The chef has a menu which is considered. There are "standard" choices such as steak pie, fish and chips etc but also things like venison fillet with horseradish mash, so something to suit everyone. I had the steak pie (with homemade chips - wow) which was delicious. An absolute must when in Dunkeld - you should book as it is very popular!

Have been honoured to visit the Perth Arms for any years, as recently as last week. Had dinner on 2 nights. Venison starter and Guinea Fowl main both invented by the chef who is owners son. Other half had chicken burger and steak pie over 2 nights. Very, very dog friendly, our lab gets tteats and cuddles all the time. You will need to book on most evenings, so don't be surprised to be laughed at if you come in off the bat. No messing with Karen, Ewan, Whinny, Shaun, Lois and rest of team. You will get respect if you give it!! Also, great jukebox with a mix of favourites.

We have visited this pub before and it never disappoints. There is always something new to try whilst the old favourites are still on the menu. It is busy and welcoming, service is quick and always comes with a smile. Good selection of ales; the local ale changes every week. Very dog friendly. My two pooches are always looked after. Make sure you drop by but always busy so book if you want to eat.

Visited The Perth Arms with my partner and a dog. Everyone was really friendly with great atmosphere. We got served by Lois, she was really polite and bubbly. Food was made by Scott and it was absolutely delicious! Definitely will be back and if you ever here try the Chicken or Beef burger! 100/10

Brilliant Lunch! The one thing you have to remember when visiting Dunkeld is that it is DOG FRIENDLY!! It is the absolute utopia for dog owners. The Perth Arms is an amazing place to eat, wether it be lunch or dinner! Karen is an amazing host that has two German Shepherd ladies who are well behaved, can be a bit boisterous but if you are a dog owner, you can easily control them….they are well trained! We go to the Perth Arms, year after year and we have always felt welcome. If you don’t like dogs, then don’t go here…..though you will be missing out on terrific food! We will be there for the day tomorrow and looking forward to a terrific lunch!

As a family with dogs we have been coming here for at least twelve years. Every visit has been great and the food has always been amazing,we all love the steak pie. Always found it warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The Perth arms is our first stop on our visits, we normally holiday here three times a year and visit normally twice a day while we are there.We are booked again for November and can’t wait to see Karen and the team again

Epic food - some of the best you will eat in the area. Loved this place and the food so much first time we made a return visit two days later. We visited here due to it being number 1 place on Trip Advisor. It was really good, the staff were amazing and the food even better. It was quiet due to COVID19 indoors, which we actually liked, as most people had opted to eat outdoors.

We stopped by for an impromptu lunch stop whilst passing through to drive further north, and we are really glad we did! We didn't know what to expect when we first walked in, but were met with extremely friendly and welcoming staff, and fantastic home cooked food! (We recommend the steak pie, and sticky toffee pudding, both were delicious and extremely good value for money!). It was good to see that it was busy pub, would recommend booking a table.

We were looking for somewhere to eat, no prior booking or arrangements having been made, after walking around Dunkeld to see what was available and what Covid procedures were in place, we decided to try The Perth Arms and we are very glad we did. First, all covid procedures were in place & enforced, then we were well received in a friendly, welcoming manner before settling down to enjoy an excellent lunch, well made and fresh served quickly by friendly, accommodating staff. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch in every respect, well worth a visit, we will certainly be back.
