Best Sunday lunch in a long time, Had the lamb which was plentiful and very tasty. Will definitely return.

Lovely place, friendly staff and fantastic food

Service was a little slow because they had a big party in the other side, but we were not neglected. Food was great; the 4 of us all chose quite different meals but all were happy. I was particularly pleased that it was quiet enough for us to be able to chat comfortably, despite two of us having some hearing difficulties. A lovely evening out at the end of our holiday.

Fantastic place every time we visit mid wales we bring our son to eat here great staff very welcoming warm place comfy never crowded so we get to sit in our favourite place love this place.

After a long day of exploring Aberystwyth and surrounding areas. We thought we should treat ourselves to a meal out, we were googling places to go locally and found The Wild Fowler was only 20 minutes away. Perfect! We booked a table (worth noting if you ever visit) and arrived to be greeted straight away and shown where our table was. The staff were so lovely and the atmosphere felt cosy and welcoming which we appreciated. We got our drinks very quickly and then food came…I had the wild mushrooms on bloomer toast which was incredible, such a lovely sauce too! My partner had the squid bites which were so beautifully cooked! We both decided on the ribs for mains and it did not disappoint, the meat fell off the bone and the chips were delicious! The presentation was outstanding and we really felt looked after by everyone! The prices may seem expensive but it is so worth it for the quality and care that goes into the food and service.

Great food and nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating is nice in the summer and pub feel with wood-burner inside. Friendly staff.

Loved the service. We've been visiting The Wild Fowler for the last 4 years over the Christmas holidays and the food is 10/10. Staff are always hospitable and friendly (especially when the power was out today) Last year we had the venison burger and it was to die for. Will definitely be back next year. Went for lunch with a large group for Xmas lunch on 8.12.23.. Service was excellent, food was perfect. Hot as it came out of the oven. Plenty of vegetables. The ambiance was perfect. Visited 3 times this week couldn’t fault the menu, quality of food beer and service. Highly recommended

This is one of the best pubs ever! All the staffs are friendly and always hardworking, I would definitely recommend this pub for drinking with your mates or food with your family and kids, all of the food is always great, this pub also had a good atmosphere.

Stopped off on the way home from Aberystwyth. Was made to feel really welcome. Menu was great and the food and service was superb. Obviously a popular destination for everyone in the community as there was a great atmosphere in the place too. Will stop again if in the area.

It was nice, but I think we were overcharged. Two Sunday lunches, two puds, a coffee and a glas of wine came to over £40!

On our now rare visit to the area, we just had to take time out to come to the Wildfowler. Which when we had our holiday home here was our regular haunt. Glad to say that the Quality of Food and Service is still top of our charts. We feel sure that when ever we back we will be in here again. Highly recommended 5 stars.

Staff were nice and pub was nice but food let it down

Group of 6 friends travelling in the area stopped for dinner, had 3 courses, the staff and atmosphere were welcoming, the setting is very nice and the food was superb! Would definitely recommend.

Really lovely place. It was 'table service' even just for drinks! Quiet time when we visited, but did start to fill up with diners as we were leaving. Didn't manage to get back for a meal 😔 .... hopefully next time we are in the vicinity.

Lovely location regardless of the fact it's difficult not to have one around Ceredigion. Very attentive staff, perfect food and value for money. I was pleasantly shocked that the bill for 6 meals, 5 deserts and drinks only came to around £113 👌 #Recommended and will be visiting again in the future.

Good place. Nice service. Starters were wonderful,unfortunately the steak was abit over cooked, and peppercorn sauce was too watery. Will return.

Nice pub with great service and food. I was staying locally with friends and we visited The Wild Fowler a few times. I had the lamb burger and fish and chips on a subsequent visit. All cooked really nicely.

The mushroom starter was not as expected. It did not meet with universal acclaim. The Welsh Ratebit hit the spot, as did the steak, two lamb shanks and a pie! (Not all mine I hasten to add.) Lovely food. Service was prompt and friendly. A special comment on the serving hours. They keep going through the 3 to 6 "dead space." The bit before dinner but normally too late for lunch. Good for our chaotic schedule.

Stopped on our way home from a day at the beach. Lovely staff and service, excellent food. Open for food from 12pm until 8pm, great for that tricky time between 3 and 6 where nothing is open for a full meal. Thoroughly recommend

Recommended to us by our holiday let. Beautiful little pub, attentive staff. Great prices for home cooked meals. Perfect selection for children's menu. Rarebit starter, curry & steak pie main. Watching neighbouring tables food arrive all meals looked lovely particularly the burgers. We struggled to decide what to eat as it all sounded/looked good. Unfortunately we were too full for pudding. Food served 12-8 which is hard to find around the area. Toilets were a little dated but none the less very clean. Always something we dread with a little one. We would return.

We came here for a Sunday dinner. First impressions of the pub was how cosy and stylish is was. The staff are so welcoming. We had a sunday roast beef dinner. Its was absolutely amazing. The beef was so tender and not fatty bits which I can't stand. There was more than enough veg which was all cooked to perfection. We had pudding aswell which was delicious. Definitely recommend coming here and prices are quite reasonable aswell. Look forward to visiting again.

The Wildfowler is simply superb! Booking is advised, as it does get very busy, particularly on a Sunday! They serve food between 12 & 6, on a Sunday. We had a table booked for 4pm and it was just great, even that late into the afternoon it was still busy. For me it is really first rate! There is lots of choice. Nice choice of starters. I always opt for the prawn cocktail! plenty of prawns, a good Marie-Rose sauce, a little lemon & salad served with lovely granary bread, & real butter. As for the Roast meat, there is always, beef, pork, and turkey. I like to have a duet of meats. Today I had beef and pork, served with a great yorkie, stuffing and roasties, & plenty of vegetables. New potatoes, carrots, broccoli, sprouts, & broad beans. The gravy is delicious and a good jug full. One little thing, there is never peas with the dinner and we both love peas! If Sunday lunch is not for you they offer other choices, fish and chips, lasagne, & more, which always look good. A fine choice of puddings finish off a pleasant dinner beautifully, try the homemade cheesecake or the sundae!! Lots of options at the bar as well, Lager, wines, gin and plenty more. The Wildfowler has a great team of staff who are friendly, professional and great at what they do! We had 2 starters, 2 mains, a sharing pud & three pints 🍻 🍺 all for under £60! If you looking for a good feed locally The Wildfowler is the place, you simply will not find better! With plenty of parking. Just 10 miles from Aberystwyth and 10 miles from Machynlleth. Standard pub/restaurant not far from beach. Outdoor area is a let down, Food good enough but don't expect anything fancy. The staff are welcoming as they should be.

We stopped for food whilst on route. Even though it was a Saturday and they were busy, they squeezed us in.

Food was very good, good value for money as well.

We sat in the marquee with the dogs. It was really busy and the food was amazing. I recommend the salmon parmesan with asparagus and new potatoes.

Absolutely brilliant, service, atmosphere and product brilliant. Went with my wife as a last minute decision, really enjoyed it. We had starters and mains no room for dessert, we will certainly be going back soon. We had heard how good it is but have now experienced it for ourselves, highly recommend it.

Three of us went for Sunday lunch and when we arrived we were greeted by a member of staff and shown to our table. A waitress came and asked if we wanted a drink while looking at the menu we each ordered a drink. when she came back we were asked if we wanted to order ! ordered Pork another ordered Turkey and I ordered Beef. When the meals came they were all well presented along with a dish of mixed vegetables. My beef was excellent well cooked and very tender and tasted great. The other two said there meal was also excellent. We have been before and will definately go again.

Staying nearby in a self catering Cottage, with our young pup, we decided to treat ourselves to an evening meal on our last night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the menu was very extensive. I chose the Duck. which was plentiful and very delicious. My husband had the Fish and chips, which he said was very good. Unfortunately., because we had our dog with us, we were only allowed to eat outdoors, under a large marquee. It was a very windy evening, so not the most comfortable environment but the food was very enjoyable.

The pub is on the main road with a large marquee at the front for out-door dining. As we were in the area on holiday with a dog, that's what we did. Dogs are not allowed indoors unless service animals. Service was OK, drinks quick to arrive, but I needed to go in to remind staff we wanted to order food. The menu is quite wide ranging. I had the fish and chips, my wife the duck. Both meals were wholesome and remained warm despite the cooling breeze on the tent. All in two meals and a bottle of wine cost about £50. Not bad considering the location.

We had to return twice the wierdest and most inedible chips, and settled for boiled baby potatoes with our mains. Dogs are only allowed outside.

Two excellent lunches. Sandwiches one day, the roast on a Sunday. Nicely presented. Vegetables fresh. Portions very generous - one serving of the roast would have been enough for us (in our 70s), which meant we couldn't finish it and it goes against grain to waste food at any time, especially current conditions. Happy to go again if we are in the area.

My wife and myself just had an excellent lunch outside in the marquee, the food was excellent and so was the service and the table in the marquee was clean and spotless. We will come here again.

Lovely pub and restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and the food was excellent, especially the pie. It was a proper pie with a top, bottom and sides, filled with meat and gravy. Just the way a pie should be!! We will be back.

lovely hidden little eatery. The menu is varied, snacks or evening meals. lovely atmosphere and the staff are particularly obliging. The menu prices are very fair. The fish and chips were super. Massive meaty fish with gorgeous crispy batter and lovely skin on skinny fries. Very glad I've found this place, particularly if you're on your way to Aberystwyth from the Machynlleth end. Carpark good, not far from entrance.

4th visit now, always good food. Not been disappointed yet. The prawn cocktail was an absolute cracker. Very often ruined in other establishments. Liver,bacon and onions was a treat, the others had duck and the salmon main. Well done. See you again soon.

Went to the Wildflorwer tonight. I went with my husband who has a broken leg and straight away from booking the table to leaving they were so accommodating with sorting a table comfortable enough for him even though they were so busy. We had a lovely blonde lady dealing with us, unfortunately did not catch her name, but she was fantastic. We both had the sirloin steak and it was amazing, best I've had. Will definitely be returning.

Food was lovely and the staff were very accommodating. The pub finished serving food at 8pm and we arrived (4 of us) close to the cut off time but they made us feel very welcome and didn't make us feel like we had to rush. Would definitely recommend this pub.

Sunday lunch 24th July 22. First visit to this lovely friendly venue. The roast beef Sunday lunch was truly wonderful, one of the best ever anywhere. Perfection on a plate. Treat yourself and give it a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Right, I've eaten a lot of burgers over the years, but the ones we had last night, were the best I can remember. Proper beef, juicy, tasty, lovely. Do your taste buds a favour and call in. Also, the staff and landlord were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The pub is very well set up, excellent outdoor area with fairy lights; clean toilets with lots of soap, gel, blower, paper towels. We couldn't have asked for more. We were driving past, saw it, stopped and phoned and despite it being past food time, chef kept open for us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
