Ye Olde Fleece is a fantastic local pub that offers a decent range of beers and can be found on High street in Gateshead. Ye Olde Fleece was one of several pub's in Gateshead that we visited and had a beer on tap which we haven't had in a long time which was McEwan's beer. Ye Olde Fleece itself is a joy to go to as the pub has a good atmosphere with nice staff and friendly locals and well priced beers. With a traditional pub interior and brilliant seating options throughout the whole pub interior and its a joy to visit especially of a Monday as it was very lively. When we visited we had a pint of McEwans dark beer which I haven't had in year's but it was fantastic and well priced at £2.50 for a pint. This is a superb pub and well worth visiting and very easy to find from High Street bus stop it's a short walk.(This is my first review of Ye Olde Fleece). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-11.00-23.00. Friday-Saturday-11.00-00.00 Sunday-11.00-23.00. Nearest Bus Stop. High Street bus stop.

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to cross over the magnificent Tyne Bridge to Gateshead and visit some of the great pubs over this side of the River Tyne and The Ye Olde Fleece Pub was one of the best pubs we visited. I really enjoyed this pub ,the interior is so cool ,a traditional looking pub,the main room is dominated by a solid wood serving bar, nice decor and furnishings, tv's to enjoy the sport and a karaoke area ,there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its my type of pub, the type of pubs I grew up in. We were here on a Tuesday afternoon, we ordered Mckewans best scotch ( Eagle Brewery ) and also known as " heavy " ,these pints were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. My ale was really good, a dark, malty ,strong ale served freezing cold, its a beer style not to rush but to savour but being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew why would you want to rush anything. We really enjoyed our ale's in here ,loved the pub actually before we moved on and for a first time visit to The Ye Olde Fleece Pub we had a great experience. The Ye Olde Fleece Pub is easy to locate along High Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm. Friday & Saturday, 11am till Midnight. Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A wonderful pub, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.
