Tonge Thai Restaurant in Bolton

Had many meals from here and all faultless. The food is absolutely delicious and the chefs tailor each dish to your preference - should you have one. Very authentic and no msg!

This small restaurant is based within Hennigans pub on Bury Road, Bolton. We were a party of 7 and each of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. The prices are very reasonable and we just bought our drinks at the bar. Will certainly go again.

Decided to go on our return from holiday we have been many times before and just needed Thai food, i would like to add also its cosy calm that allows one to have a decent conversation without any noisy distractions. Delicious food, service and staff excellent can definitely recommend .

Visited for the Wednesday 2 courses for £10 with friends. Very tasty food and great value for money.

It was our first visit to tonge Thai we usually go to another restaurant as we thought being inside a pub it wouldn't be as good how wrong was I, we both had a starter and main course and everything was amazing the quality of meats and seafood was exceptional, Darren went through everything with us like how they can change any dish to suit your taste.

After dining at their takeaway a week ago we decided to book into the restaurant which is actually a pub that serves Thai food to be exact. We had been told this so we was expecting it, some may not but dont let it put you off. The decor is great and has the tonge thai stamp with street cart on the stage. The food was once again superb. Our waiter Darren who i now know is the owner of tonge thai was so nice and knowledgable about Thai food you can just feel his passion. He recommended we all order different dishes and share the whole experience the Thai way and it was just brilliant! Every starter and every main was different and mouth watering what a great way to eat. You have to go get your own drinks and pay seperately at the bar but its no big deal. Whilst devouring our food a band started setting up for a gig which we was unaware of so we decided to stay and we are so glad we did they where great. This place has got it so right, real ale, superb food, great staff and entertainment what a fantastic evening thank you!!! Finally an all round pub which has it spot on, cant wait to return 🖒

I must have had a dozen meals here and every one is delicious. Very hard to pick a favourite, but if pushed to choose I'd say either their signature 'Phad Tonge Thai' dish or the cashew stir fry. I will definitely be going back for more!

You don't expect great Thai food like this in a pub but it definitely is. Excellent service with a chef who's obviously (rightly) proud of his dishes and a menu whose range it will take a few visits to discover; and we certainly will

So, Tonge Thai Restaurant seem to have got everything right, great place, and Amazing food. And you can even stay for the live entertainment On Friday's and Saturdays. Well done everyone

We have been here six times in three weeks we have been that impressed, the food is to die for. Ive been with the wife for a quiet meal but also they are very welcoming and accommodating if you want a family meal with the kids as well. I like trying different dishes and I can honestly say they have all been good. I do prefer spicy and the Sirachi (probably spelt wrong) King Prawns as a starter is amazing likewise the Pork Fillet Garlic and Pepper again a starter. As a main the drunken noodles has a real kick to it - beware! but it retains the depth of taste despite it being very spicy. We are still relatively new to Thai food but from what we are learning about this cuisine is that in comparison it is pretty healthy to say an Indian were you can get that uncomfortable bloated feeling at Tonge Thai we've always felt pleasantly full but still been able to wash it down with a few drinks afterwards!

Love this little gem. They don't hold back on the spice! But that's the Thai way and we love it! The penang curry is to die for as are the big soup bowls

We have visited Henighans on numerous occasions and have always found theThai food to be excellent. Pesh and Ben who look after the food side are extremely friendly and helpful.

We have been here a few times the food is always fresh and really tasty. defiantly worth going. The staff are friendly and it is very reasonable on price.

This was our first trip to this place on a bank holiday sunday eve. The djs were fantastic and if the music is this good we will be coming to watch the acts in future. We shall also try the thai food.

We've been visiting Henighan's for ages now, normally to eat at the fantastic Thai Kitchen, today we were lucky enough to visit for lunch but stayed on at Henighan's had organised a brilliant kids party, complete with magician, what a lovely surprise. They regularly have tribute acts and comedians, but what a lovely thing to do for the kids. Definite resolution for the new year to try to go to more events here.
