Wonderful cafe incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good, had a ham and cheese omelette it was delightful, coffee strong and tasty and wonderful selection of cakes and traybakes..the brownie and millionaire shortbread were fantastic (shared). Great location very close to the castle.

We weren't able to eat here. The staff very kindly warned us that the food would be a long while coming so we went elsewhere aswe had a train to catch.

Cosy cafe. Nice food, a bit slow. Tea could be stronger. Very pleasant staff. Shame the cakes in the fridge are covered in cling film, not good presentation, better covers to be had.

Stopped by for lunch on Saturday afternoon. It was fantastic. 2 burgers (lamb and mint), some v-cut chips and 1 Rarebit. High quality produce cooked extremely well. Drinks were tea and a couple of Mochas. The latter were the best ever tasted. Service is friendly and the cafe has a cosy feel. We had no room for homemade cake but that just gave us an excuse to take some home with us for later, chocolate and cherry jam, what's not to like? Yummy!

We found a random Café in Caernarfon. From the first moment it was very lovely. The employees were nice and funny, not only to us but other customers as well, especially the Slovakian man. We talked about our trip, his arrival to Wales, UK cities etc. Coffee was delicious and the price suitable. I will definitely visit this “ coffi “ again on my next visit to Wales.

Lived in Caernarfon for 3 years and feel silly for always walking by. What a wonderful little cafe, the staff are super kind and welcoming. The coffee is very well presented and a nice simple menu with something for everyone. The v cut chips are sooo tasty. Definitely coming back here on a day off to just chill with a coffee.

We had a very nice Welsh rarebit, and Marek was very nice with everyone. On the top of this: I really enjoyed my cortado coffee (I would go back even just to have a coffee!). I said it, that was very well done and good coffee. Then he commented that he has been, years ago, to coffee / baristas competitions! If it wasn't getting busy I would have asked more :-) next time!

Our party of 11 hungry blokes rocked up unannounced, but the very friendly staff made us most welcome and managed to get all our cooked breakfasts out quickly. Lovely food and coffee. Had a good chat with both the owner and the chef on that day and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent little cafe. I will call in again first chance I get.

After leaving my family in the Galeri, I decided to take a walk into town and immediately this little gem of a cafe appeared out of nowhere. What a lovely reception I received from the owner. I ordered carrot and coriander soup and crust bread. He apologised that there would be a bit of a wait because they prepared the food on the spot. I was about to pay but the kind owner said that I could pay before leaving and I mentioned that most probably I would have coffee after the soup. Within less than 10 minutes my meal arrived. The soup was piping hot and delicious and also plentiful. And on an extremely cold day, this meal was so pleasing.The bread roll was so fresh and warm that the butter melted on it. Two further members of staff in passing by kindly asked me if everything was ok. I was so full after my meal that I decided that I would call back for coffee on my way back from town and I mentioned this while paying. But unfortunately while returning to my family at the Galeri, I didn’t have enough time to call for my coffee. Next time I’m in Caernarfon I’ll be calling back at Tŷ Winsh, not only for the delicious food but also for the very warm welcome. Thank you staff of the Tŷ Winsh.

This great little café never fails to please. I managed to resist the delicious creamed mushrooms today to sample one of the specials instead - vegetarian savoury cake, which Marek informed us was based on his mum's recipe (Slovakian). It was delicious and went perfectly with the side salad and very tasty v-cut chips. Marek and all the staff here are always friendly and jolly. We'll be back again next time we're passing. Fantastic wee place we found in Caernarfon. We were driving around looking for a cafe to have a decent breakfast on our way home. This was absolutely perfect. We were right on time to get the very last cooked breakfast that morning and it was so tasty. The staff were amazing and the cafe was so lovely to sit in, we could have easily sat there for another few hours.

The man working there was very nice, if I ever visit Caernarfon again I will definitely come back to this cute caffi😁

Went here today for lunch. A delicious bowl of pea soup and a freshly baked roll. Just the job on a wet and windy day. We had our Miniature Schnauzer with us, who was a huge hit with the cafe owners as they have one of their own. She got lots of attention and treats. In fact all dogs and humans get a lovely reception and I cannot rate them highly enough. We are on holiday from Essex, but if we lived locally we would definitely be regular visitors.

Hübsches Café, mit sehr nettem Service. Leckerer Kuchen und Kaffee mit "Coffee Art". Auch wenn es ein klein wenig ab vom Schlag ist durchaus empfehlenswert.

Visited here following Google reviews. I am coeliac and have a severe nut allergy. Apart from being unable to access the cafe (I am a powerchair user, so heads up to fellow wheelies) this was a great little place. The owners do everything fresh. Went out of their way to cater for my allergy and intolerances. Can't fault the service and hospitality. Food was second to none. I had a lovely home made carrot and coriander soup and my mum had a toastie. Cannot recommend this place enough. Everything is cooked fresh to your requirements. Do visit. It's the best!

My fiancee and I visited here with our dog for a quick coffee and slice of cake. We were warmly welcomed by Marek and happy to see him have treats for his doggy customers. We were amazed by the homely and warm feeling of the decor and interior. After looking at the menu and seeing what other's had ordered, we decided to get a sandwich each also. They were lovely, the homemade cakes tasted amazing and the coffee was much better than your typical coffee shop. Would definitely recommend and thank you for being so welcoming!

Had breakfast here on Friday morning and it is honestly lovely. Was so comfy there nearly 2 hours had gone by and I hadn't noticed! Don't think I've had a nicer french toast and cup of tea (panad) in my life. The owner and staff are really friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back

My fiancée and I called into this wonderful cafe for coffee and cake. The owner was very welcoming. We each had an excellent americano using beans that had been roasted in Caernafon. I had a delicious caramel shortcake and my fiancée an equally delicious cheesecake. If you're in Caernafon this is the cafe to go to.

The food and coffee is amazing. Best place we have been to since visiting. Really nice interior. The owner is lovely. 10/10.

Homemade cakes the best around.

We have been here many times already. The owner Marek is very friendly and hard-working. We always have their soups and they were very nice. My partner loves their coffee and I like my hot oat milk. The gluten free cake is nice and today we tried their homemade almond and jam cake and it was delicious too. It's quite spacious on the inside and I like the upstairs bit. It feels nice and cosy. The best part is, they open until 5.30pm! The only one opens that late in Caernarfon and is so nice.

What a wonderful find. We visited today with my baby and our dogs. We were made so welcome. The coffee is made to perfection. I could've drank more. We had to try the home made cakes, which were amazing. My dogs and baby were well catered for also. The decor is so cosy, we didn't want to leave. We'll definitely be back!!

Passed by before because we thought it was full. Shocked to see the upstairs gallery. Nice food and coffee with great staff. We returned home happy and proceeded to count our dog Jasper's teeth. We are still trying! Jasper loved his treat and gave the place 5 woofs. See you soon.

A warm welcome awaits you and a perfect atmosphere when looking for a tea-room. With locally sourced produce and everything freshly made, it is a little gem. Plenty of choice on the menu and taste was fantastic. Opted for the Tuna Surprise which was great and a little treat after with a slice of cake and a cuppa. If you need to warm up and refuel, you'd be wise to stop at Ty Winshi.

We visited this café yesterday (Tuesday) for the first time, having driven from Derby for a day out. The staff were very welcoming, and the homemade soup and cake we had were really lovely.....good coffee too. I would definitely recommend.

Came over on holidays to visit. Staff are lovely and we really enjoyed our coffee/bap. Chef even came out from the kitchen to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Really nice place

Called in after a quick visit to Caernafon. Had the freshly made tomato, red pepper and basil soup. Very welcoming with a great homely atmosphere. Great coffee too

Called in for (very) late lunch, we were the last customers of the day through the door - even so, the place was busy but spotlessly clean, the welcome was warm, the service was faultless. We had the remaining soup options, one broccoli and Stilton, one carrot and coriander - both home-made, both flavoursome without being peppery or spicy, very filling and, even late on, the bread rolls were crisp and fresh. The cappuccinos were also excellent. The owner, who can magically be in several places at once, made sure to check everything was ok - newcomers and regulars are all treated as valued friends. Will definitely return, soon, and be earlier next time so that we can stay long enough for another coffee and a cake. Highly recommended; Caernarfon is fortunate to have this first-rate establishment and the caring, dedicated people who make it special.

Stopped for a quick lunch here. £6 for small soup, with very stale bread roll, therefore felt it was not good value for money. Friend had omelette with lots of liquid on her plate, she had to soak it up with a napkin. Other party members happy with their food and drink. Not great experience, but not bad either. Nice environment. EDIT: owner replied below. I wrote 'quiche' by mistake instead of 'omelette', sorry for that. And auto correct turned a 'she' into a 'he'. Don't know why the reply to this is so reactive and harsh, when I have provided an honest, personal review. Truth is, we were not even asked if the meal was ok, I was actually waiting for that opportunity to state my dissatisfaction. But it never happened. The server did come back due to having to rectify another part of the order that chef got incorrect, but she did not ask, and I should have spoken up. The bread WAS stale...solid as a rock. It was left untouched for the server clearly to see. And the omelette DID have an unfortunate amount of liquid on her plate. We assumed it was due to the mushrooms, but it should never have been served like that and was off-putting. These are not fictitious or exaggerated points, and I have since reduced my score of this review for such a reactive response. It was not a great lunch (this was our second try of your cafe) and neither of my party said we would be coming back, and my review was fair, reasonable and honest. I complimented your cafe environment and stated that other party members were happy, but 2 weren't! Even one who said she was happy still said it was expensive for what she got: her soup was meant to be gluten free, but was served with croutons on top. Obviously a mistake and was rectified quickly; this was fine! But the soup WAS small and she had no bread roll (due to gluten intolerance) but still charged £6. And as I said, mine was also small and served with the stale roll. Therefore we honestly felt it WAS expensive. But your response is disappointing and hot headed. Unprofessional.

We celebrated my daughter’s 17th here between Christmas & New Year. Kevin and Marek were amazing and so helpful putting together an Afternoon Tea for 10 people. Delicious homemade cakes, quiches, sausage rolls, sandwiches and so much more. We had a perfect balance including vegetarian and vegan options. I passed this place as I was driving to my car park for an overnight stay. I'd arrived in Caernarfon late afternoon for an overnight stay. I wasn't expecting to find any cafes still open, so I parked and walked along to check it out. This is a lovely, cosy café. The tea was good and the chocolate and walnut cake was really tasty. The staff were friendly and took time out to chat, and to tell me about the cafe's name and the history of the building. Highly recommended.

This was my First visit to Caernarfon and whilst exploring came across Caffè Ty Winsh. From the outside looking in it was so inviting I really couldn't resist.I was welcomed by the owner and offered a variety of lunch options.i decided on the homemade soup accompanied by some bread and croutons. Top marks it was so tasty and just what I needed on a cold winters day. The cafe is very quirky offering two floors of seating. ground floor with gas log fire and vintage seating just perfect. Upper level plenty of tables and chairs with plenty of space. it seemed to be extremely popular with coffee and cakes being served constantly. I would highly recommend a visit staff so friendly. Being a single diner it was very social felt like home.i was even lucky enough to try the jam only Victoria sponge.Thank you for your hospitality

Called into this little place wanting a breakfast & although they had stopped serving breakfast a couple of hours earlier they went out of their way to accommodate & it was delicious wouldn’t hesitate to revisit next time I am in the area lovely food & very thoughtful staff A*

A Lovely family run cafe perfect for a nice coffee and breakfast. Food was spot on and didn’t take long at all. Nice seating area inside or out. Very happy costumers!

My partner and I came for breakfast, although we’d just missed the cut off were thrilled to still be able to order off the breakfast menu whilst it wasn’t too busy! I had the classic breakfast and he had the eggs Benedict, both were great and well served with nice lattes too! Wish we’d taken a picture! Lovely owners and we’d definitely come back.

Really disappointed. Arrived midweek for breakfast and was really let down by the quality and service. Breakfast took 50 minutes to arrive with not many other customers ahead of us. The coffee was weak and the breakfast was okay, but nothing that couldn’t be made at home.

The notice displayed in the window first attracted me to Tŷ Winsh. Snowdonia-roasted Poblado coffee is available here. My kind of coffee, served as a Flat White. I sat in the easy chair by the window and enjoyed. Good, very good. Bright and airy interior, very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Evidently very popular with locals. I have returned several times since then to Tŷ Winsh, not only to taste and enjoy the coffee but for the excellent Glamorgan Sausage breakfast served here - Selsig Morgannwg. A most pleasant and friendly small independent cafe, a 'hidden gem' on Balaclava Road, Doc Victoria, Caernarfon. Five-star Caffi!

If you are in Caernarfon, just come out of the centre if you want really good honest food. Ideal for a hearty breakfast or a lunch. The Snowdonia rarebit is superb and the unusual v cut chips are stunning.

I dropped my passengers in Caernarfon this morning and mentioned this cafe to them, had great feedback from them saying very friendly service would definitely recommend

What we had was nice enough but there wasn't much of it. 1 sausage couple slices bacon spoon of beans and an egg. No hash browns no mushrooms no tomatoes. Exoensive fir what it was

We stopped at this characterful cafe for breakfast and coffee on a damp October day. My full classic breakfast and my partner's smashed avocado with poached egg and bacon were delicious and beautifully done. Our lattes were so good that we also bought a couple of packs of the locally roasted coffee (Poblado Coffi) that the cafe uses. The cafe, run by a lovely couple who provide very friendly service, is a real asset to Caernarfon.
