Fab venue and location. lovely food. Good service

We moved house 5 days before Christmas and were having to manage without an oven. TyGlyn's Christmas lunch takeaway seemed a perfect solution and it was! It can't be easy cooking a roast that tastes as good after a 10 minute drive home as it would have done if served direct to the table, but they seemed to achieve it! Will definitely be enjoying their hospitality again in the future :)

Another great Sunday dinner just like mum used to make. Yummy pepered cabbage, creamy cauliflower cheese, tasty roast beef, lots of everything. What is there not to like and the service as usual exceptional. Thank you to Mark and team. Sorry we were a bit late. I will not let that happen again xxxxx

My husband and I visited this restaurant last night and had an absolutely incredible meal. The service was lovely and we even had the opportunity to learn a little welsh. The food was absolutely perfect, and the range of options available for a range of dietary requirements was impressive. We will absolutely be visiting here again whenever we have an excuse to head back into Wales. Diolch to the wonderful staff for a great meal!

Oh my lordy!! This place does the most gorgeous Roast Beef Sunday Lunch. I seriously can not recommend enough! It is a must if you can go, you will not be sorry. Staff were so nice and made us feel very welcome.

I made a reservation too this hotel through booking.com on 05/05/2021, the booking was confirmed. On the 11/06/2021 I received an email from booking.com, informing me 10 days before my stay, that my booking was cancel as the hotel was over booked. This means to try and find similar accommodation for me and my daughter, in these difficult times, on the the dates I need, is going too be hard probably more expensive.

What excellent food we had here recently! First class service. Welsh speaking staff. Diolch yn fawr. Very very tasty food - the starters, mains and sweet. Highly recommended.

Just a two day break. The first after lock down. Very well looked after, especially by managers, Mark and Nerys. We ate both evenings in the relaxed restaurant. Reasonable food and drink prices. Fillet steak was lovely as were the chips...not freezer bagged. Great deserts. No more expensive than local restaurants or pubs. The rooms and faculties were scrupulously clean. Lovely breakfast. Looks like some good walking in the area, which we did not get around to, due to the lovely Welsh weather. Aberaeron, New Quay and Cardigan in easy driving distance. All worth visiting. Look out for dolphins. We will return.

Lovely wedding venue, great staff and a lot of potential. Having not attended this venue for over 10 years, it was nice to return and see how the place has evolved. Plenty of scope to make this a superb venue.

I am coeliac, I attended the greese night, last evening. The food was great, the cattered for me with no problems, all the food was served at the same time. I was not made to feel different. The staff were very nice, happy and helpful. So thank you all for a lovely evening x

We stayed at the cottages on estate for long weekend for my 50th birthday. Restaurant ideally located but the path through was muddy and unlit. We had a reasonable meal, great service and nice surroundings but it was lacking atmosphere would of felt nicer if there was background music especially in bar area. Meal felt rushed but it was cooked nicely recommend the brownie! Would have stayed a bit longer and had a few more drinks if it was more livelier.

Arrived at night but even so the gardens looked lovely. We attended a charity do in the function room which was nicely decorated bright and cheery. Food was lovely very tasty and plenty of it. Would definitely recommend.

Great Sunday lunch. Plenty of good food and service very good. Also free wi fi. Been visiting here for Sunday lunch but there is lots happenig in the week and I will try to visit week days next time I'm in the area.

Very warm welcome from friendly helpful staff who could not do enough for us and our labrador Lilly. Beautiful building and grounds. Very large room and ensuite shower room Bar and restaurant very well stocked. Dinner and breakfast was just superb. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Devil to get a hold of anyone...

A beautiful little welsh village with towns not far away.This was a Holiday cottage on a secure gated community. Well equipped clean and modern cottage. and they allowed my dog ,a retired Greyhound, who loved the squerrils running about the place :-)

What a wonderful setting for a wedding venue! Mark couldn't have done more to make sure that my daughters wedding reception was perfect. Friendly, helpful, courteous and professional staff. Great food, served hot and promptly... not an easy task for 117 wedding guests. Perfect! 100% would recommend this gorgeous place

I love coming here, even more fun than Dave's Spaceship in s.t. Mellon's near Cardiff. The food is brilliant and so is the staff. We went to one of tribute act with food nights.. this is the third time I have been. Fantastic night out. They also have a restaurant which looks amazing.

Enjoyed our stay whilst decor is a bit of a mix and does not at first appearance give the hotel a good vibe the staff and food at night more than compensates. There is potential there yet untapped but would stay again

Stayed the night after a wedding night do which was lovely. The room was large complete with a Four poster bed and lovely bathroom. The breakfast we had was superb very good quality meat and very tasty. Will definetly be going again

Very nice local hotel great food

Wonderful area of the beaten track & usual holiday makers.

Great place to eat, every dish a success from the excellent chef in-house. Whatever your choice you will not be dissappointed. Great starter prawn coctail followed by a filet steak and finishing with a mango sorbet.

I picked this hotel because it was animal friendly so I was able to take my little dog (£10 a day extra) The hotel is in a very quiet location. Very friendly staff specially Mark and Richard who made our short stay very enjoyable.

A wonderful venue for multiple occasions. The place is very suitable for large functions and weddings and offers a great view in the main function room. The food is consistently great and the staff is always friendly and pleasant.

My husband and I stayed in the hotel 3rd and 4th November 2017. We were attending a wedding that was held there. We found Mark and his staff to be very hospitable. The bed was a little bit low in our room for my husband and they offered to change our room for us but we had already unpacked and settled in, so we stayed stayed where we were . The food was fantastic. We felt we got good value for our money,and didn't find it expensive. The gardens and views were amazing and well kept. We felt very welcome and would go back again. Highly recommended.

Was staying only 1/4 mile away for a short break - Lovely setting, modern restaurant - it was quiet when we booked - no bustle, which was good. Excellent service from the staff - superb quality meal beautifully presented. Limited choice of draught beer was a little disappointing. A real hidden gem it seems from the lack of reviews on here. Well worth the visit.

Stayed here for 2 nights bed and breakfast with dinner on the first night. The food in the restaurant is great, the breakfast was delicious and because we enjoyed our dinner so much on the first night we also ate there on the second. The steaks are succulent and the fish was excellent. We stayed in room 7 which was great, lovely view and a super large room, no complaints at all there - worth paying the small sur-charge for that room. The only reason I have given a 4 rather than a 5 star is the dining chairs are very squishy and well sat on - just replace the chairs and it would be so much more comfortable and 5 stars. I would add that there were some comfortable wooden ones but they were very quickly sat on by the first guests into the dining room !!!!

Nice smallish (10 room) hotel in a quiet location but easy driving distance of the coast. Food in the restaurant was also very good.

13 + 2 babies booked for afternoon tea, service was fantastic and plenty of freshly made sandwiches and cakes. Would definitely recommend this, beautiful scenery and they were happy to let the children run around the grounds.

Attended the reception for a friend's wedding in late April. It was a bit difficult to find without the SatNav, but that could well have been down to our navigation skills! The building and grounds are well kept, and the rear benefits from some lovely rural views. Ample parking is available, with space enough to fit large vehicles. Food was great. While I couldn't say if the menu was created especially for the wedding reception, the mushroom risotto I had as a vegetarian dish was delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and were fluent in at least Welsh and English.

My wife and I, accompanied by two friends, booked a weekend at TyGlyn in February. We had several E-mails from the hotel before leaving so we knew what to expect, but , when we arrived we were amazed at the way all staff wanted to help us enjoy their facilities. They were extremely polite generous and did everything within their power to make our stay one we shall remember. The rooms were fabulous , my wife spending the first hour taking photographs of the room to show to family members. And to the food....... We had booked an evening meal on Friday with an option on Saturday. The Friday meal was something special, the four of us decided after eating that we would eat again on Saturday, again we sat after the meal talking about when we could return. What a wonderful weekend. Many many thanks to all at the TyGlyn we will return.

I have been to many weddings, proms and functions at The Tyglyn over the past six with my chocolate fountain company and on each occasion we have been made most welcome. The food has always been excellent and people we have spoken to at each event have been full of praise for the staff, food and the venue itself.
