This weatherspoons is really lovely. There's a lot of space. We went on a hot morning and there was plenty of people there however also plenty of spaces left over in different areas. The food was lovely and staff always happy to make our awkward orders for our breakfast with loads of food swapped due to preferences

Staff friendly and helpful. However, Curry night - no curries! No Lasagne! No All day brunches! Come on, get your act together!!!

"Spoons" should be made a Great British Institution! Good quality food, good prices, excellent eating areas, quick service. What more can you want? Visited twice and would def call in again when in the area. It was quite busy to very busy during the time I was there, indicating it's popularity, so must be doing things right.

Rude and arrogant waitress told us to drink up And go when we sat outside with little Yorkie we were at fault but to be spoken to too like that disgrace were both pensioners in our 70s very angry by her lack of respect

Not very good food served on cold plates, soft drink cost more than a beer!!!!

If you sat outside you were in a no smoking zone but when you leave the door you are allowed to smoke on the platform and when the wind was blowing in the right direction you would smell the smoke. Food came really fast and was decend proportion.

Your casual wetherspoons. Bit pricier than one in my town but service is quick and foods really good for the price also. One thing that holds this place food standard down for me is the bun selection for burgers. Feels like the somebody just decided to grab the cheapest rolls out of tesco/aldi and slab really good meat in it. Looks okay-ish but falls apart at first touch. Not the greatest if you wanna burger that somewhat holds and also looks and tastes great. Had 2 coctails pitchers for 15£ - blue lagoon and mango monster mash. It easily comes to 4 glasess of drinks if you let the ice melt. Tastes really good! Price wont be easy to beat. Most places sells 2 glasses for that price. Busy place right next to train station well close to the centre, staff on their toes, hiwever they do find some time to check on you as they walk past and let you know youre the next in queue for order if youre waitin on a said of the bar. Thumbs up. Last one thing that really makes the mark for me, and not a good one, are sticky tables. Really need a good clean. Feels bit filthy. All in all 8 maybe 9 out of 10. Clean the tables and change the rolls and happy to give 10

Large cod and chips, u having a laugh here, asked where the peas where, the young lad said there wasn’t any and walked off.🤬🤬 The small cod and cups also were a joke for my wife, no cod just batter. Chips cold also, not amused tbh, a quick stop off or I would have raised this further when there.

Really nice Wetherspoons good atmosphere, fair prices and a nice sized place. It's connected to the train station also so you can take a nice scenic train ride as I stayed in Borth to the Aberystwyth staition walk off the train and straight into the Wetherspoons so just a really cool location...

A fairly bog standard spoons. Staff were friendly but very busy, hence service was slow. Could do with a little TLC. Nice and affordable as always.

The food was amazing but the attitude of waitresses towards the customer was rude and unwelcoming. The atmosphere can be better. The outside glass dome is too hot even when there is barely any sun. Maybe a small ventilation on top would be a nice idea to have.

Bestest excuse to visit a railway station ever!! Public transport has never been such a joy to watch from the comfort of a relaxing environment, cold n refreshing drinks flowing freely, the awesome JD team on hand making for a fabulous afternoon... A credit to Aberystwyth.

Very poor. Real ale beers advertised on app were not available. The food that we ordered at the bar was also not available. Very disappointing. Please don't advertise or try to sell what you don't have.

Ordered a skinny burger, which comes with a side of salad instead of chips and a soft drink, ordering service good and waiting staff good but didn't get the side salad, I was in a rush so didn't have time to query. hopefully a one off.

The fact that your can sit down and see the trains go by is amazing. Food was hot and tasty, they had to re-cook one of our chicken dishes due to being undercooked and didn't tell us there was a delay until after it arrived.

This may sound strange considering it's a pub and a W-spoons at that but this is possibly the best place to eat in Aberystwyth. We often dine here and it's always full of groups eating and drinking, families, couples and uni groups. The food is fast, hot and good. I guess it's like Guinness, the more you sell the better it is. The beer is always good too, great selection of bottles, cans and draught at standard 'spoons prices.

Very busy but food and drinks ordered from the table came really quickly. Only negative was that dogs aren't allowed

bought the American cheese burger, outside of the top-bun was burnt, meat tastes like plastic and the chips tasted like Asda oven chips. A buggy app made me accidently order 2, hopeful to get a refund if i am lucky

Perks: Prices reasonable, large menu. Something for everyone, clean toilets, friendly staff & quick. Negatives: This places was freezing cold! Everyone was wearing their winter coats. Absolutely unbearable and hard to enjoy your meal.

Das Ambiente ist für einen Laden an einem Bahnhof echt cool. Essen ist sehr günstig aber so schmeckt es halt auch. Kaffee gibts nur aus dem Automaten. Toiletten sind solide

Rude staff. After I made a Complaint after we waited 20 min for toast . When staff member bought the toast to the table just dropped the plate while the toast fell off the plate. No sorry at all. Bar person looking at the mirror instead of serving and then served people in front of me when I had been there . Manager not very helpful as I complained the looks i had from staff. It's dirty ! Tables are all sticky Will not eat here again. Standard of food have gone down.

The food is fine, the wait staff are lovely. The location is perfect but mobility access isn't great. It's a little cramped for stick users so wheelchairs would struggle. The mobility toilet was filthy and its seat was covered in God only knows what. There was wet floor outside the mobility toilet, even with a caution sign, it was directly outside the toilets which means we're going to struggle and slip - which I did, this should've been more a priority as for the entire time we were in there it was the same, it just feels like an afterthought

No steaks on steak club night at 6.45 in the evening, staff not very accommodating of trying to help with an alternative. Not very impressed, but I guess that’s what you expect from a weather spoons! Poor to very poor!

Been here a few times on a weekend, the place is really busy which leads me to say that the turn around of food must be very fast so why on earth is the food cold? Twice a lukewarm breakfast so I skipped it the last visit for a breakfast muffin the egg was stone cold. The bacon you could literally snap in half it was that over cooked and inedible.i actually said to my partner never again 😠

Had a breakfast this morning, food was cold and the toast was cold and no fresh. I I pass my complain to the staff….

Amazing service don’t get me wrong, just food was cold like not even warm just cold, chicken tasted off and the chips didn’t feel like they were cooked properly.. also missing some meat of the mixed grill that cost a lot

It's probably the best Wetherspoons l have been in. Food and beer excellent and it's next to the train station.

Had to send food back as was cold but wasnt much better when it came back. Probably one of the worst meals ive had. Disabled toilets we smelly and dirty.

I orders a stake about 4 days ago and now I have suffered with food poisoning I am really I’ll because off it and it has really disappointed me to be honest never eating there again

What a lovely Spoons that is actually situated in Aberystwyth Train Station. Plenty of spacious areas and it is so light and airey in there due to the glass roof that floods the area by the train tracks in beautiful natural light. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast before leaving on our next port of call on our Welsh road trip. There is outside seating and the transport links are amazing with not only the train station on one side but the bus station on the other. A must visit

Ideal location, nice food as you'd expect. Served quickly as you'd expect, staff friendly and atmosphere was pleasant. Would happily visit again.

Cheap and cheerful Getting very sticky carpet and it smells the banisters need a very good clean Rice over cooked and meal not very warm

Good food, friendly staff, clean premises, reasonable prices. This is a very busy place so, if you're in a hurry, best to go elsewhere as there is often a wait to get a table with it being so popular. I was surprised to see us 'oldies' out-numbered the younger generation as I thought it was the place to go for the youngsters! Families appear to be well catered for and there were a few with young children eating further down the room. Wasn't too impressed when we found out the 2 disabled toilets are kept locked and you need to get a key from the bar, I suspect this is to prevent all and sundry using them as the waitress said the others were upstairs - a rethink required with, possibly, a bit of remodeling, in my opinion.

Asked to come back for food order in 30 minutes, after 30 minutes told it would be another hour and orders for food not being taken.

Food was lovely, and Service was awesome. One slight issue, you don't accept blue light cards, and other Weather Spoons I been in do.

It is a great weatherspoons based in the station of Aberystwyth. The drinks were great but the pizzas were a bit overdone

Had a lasagne at Aberystwyth Wetherspoons recently.They have in the past been very nice. The one I was served was all pasta and hardly any meat. I complained and was told, we are sorry about that! I will not be eating there again 👎👎

I was looking for somewhere relaxing where I could have coffee and breakfast. I've been to this Wetherspoons before, and I like it. There is car parking very near, allowing 90 mins of free parking. There are four different areas of tables, including one under transparent cover, letting in lot's of light, It's an interesting and renovated old building, nicely finished in my view, with wall prints and local history prints and photos. The carpet was different, in a style and colour I liked. Next to the coffee machines there are several pieces of art. Food is the usual Spoons range, and for me it did the job. Service was good, and staff pleasant.

Awful - awful service and terrible management.

It's a spoons, can get very busy and have long waits. Will charge you a full pint for a shandy and often are out of stock of many meal items but it's cheap and relatively tasty.

Food was over an hour before it came and during that hour the coffee machine had a queue long one at that and although the staff were nice enough no way were they enough, even to fill the caffeinated coffee until just after my cold meal came. 6 of us at the table none of us ate at the same time. Terribly understaffed.

came here for a family meal whilst on our holidays, staff were lovely but the food was awful. chips were stone cold, bbq chicken panini had 2 small pieces of chicken in it and sauces that were supposed to come with meals didn’t. wrong drinks orders were also given to us that we wasn’t happy about either. not a great experience at all.

Some tasty food but reheated in portions, so cannot take anything out of the dish.

The bar service today is the worst i have experienced in any pub, 25 minutes wait for 3 pints of beer. Come on Tim Martin you need to shake this place up. Sticky tables and poor service.😩

Lovely outdoor yet indoor seating area which shares a live train platform which is interesting. Sadly the food isn't worth much applause. The meat was fatty or dry and the chicken burger was disappointing with a measly serving of chips. But cheap enough being a Wetherspoons.

A quite spectacular building in a very convenient location next to the railway station. This is a well run Wetherspoon. As usual the staff are very well trained and focussed on first rate customer service. The food is good basic pub food however there are certain items that are significantly better such as the pizza and salads that are particularly good. The only issue they I have is that the toilets need a deep clean and regular cleaning throughout the day. I am sure that they are cleaned however they are not up to the outstanding standard that I have come to expect from JD Wetherspoon.

Good food, good atmosphere, endless coffee and tea.

Great place to eat and drink - lots of choice on the menu, great prices, good service and didn't have to wait long for the food. Order via the app as quick and easy and there is a section you can sit at around the back which overlooks the train station which is quite quirky. Would recommend and would go back when next in the area. There is a kids menu too.

Usual fare for a weatherspoons , good price for food. Not a bad place , some outdoor seating as well as all the indoor. You can order on the app which is the best way in my opinion. They have screens and netting covering the outside seating area so you don't need to worry about those pesky gulls nicking your chips 🤣

Very helpful staff, excellent food + service

Typical Weatherspoons set up. Bacon sandwiches were poor, both stone cold. Service is non-existent with staff clearly unhappy at work. The main issue with this pub is due to pints being under £2 it attracts various undesirables who haven't been near a shower in a few weeks. Wouldn't recommend it.

A lovely wetherspoons and super convenient next to the train station. Staff were friendly and super speedy.

As usual very busy, especially as the weather was wet and windy. One of the catering staff took the trouble to come out to our table to let me know the item I had ordered wasn't available. I ordered something else which was good. Wine was pleasant, and beer went down well with others at the table. I love the crockery they use in wetherspoons and if only we buy it that would be great.

Not impressed !! The place is a mess, filthy unwiped tables, dirty plates uncollected and I seriously doubt the food hygiene in this place. Cutlery filthy.! My advice is pack a lunch at home and bring it with you.!
