Food is always excellent, particularly the lamb - perfectly tender. Beware the portions are generous though. Service is efficient and welcoming. Had a meal on one occasion when there was a sudden power cut, they carried on cooking on the charcoal by the torch on the chef's mobile phone - still excellent !!

Woooow! Don’t think about it just book it. It’s was amazing. The staff could not do enough for you. The food portions were huge, and tasted AMAZING! Finished off by complementary lolly pops for the kids and baklava and Turkish tea for us! We will be returning more than once. Thank you a great experience.

My son recommended this place ,absolutely amazing food , im very fussy with lamb items but the ribs,lamb chops and lamb shish no smell cooked to perfection , service was on point . Thank you all so much all for making our evening lovely, definitely will be coming back 🙏😊😋

I went to this place last night and I can honest say it's one of the nicest restaurants I've been too in years! You really feel like you're on holiday. With the music, great staff and furnishings. And what can I say about the food. It was incredible! I couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you for a great night with amazing food.

Had a surprise 40th party here last week, as usual the food was amazing, huge portions (enough for a doggy bag) the staff are super friendly and the prices aren't bad either.

Bad luck. Just ordered a chicken kebab Some were raw. We informed the waiter, the chef sent the plate back to us saying that's the way it is. We had to eat raw chicken. No more Aspendos. sorry.

What a little gem. Had a late lunch/early dinner here on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were extremely attentive and the atmosphere great. We had a sharing platter which was fantastic. Will definitely visit again ☺️ Tiny improvements? The only reason for a 4 star was two observations, the toilets need to be cleaned alot better, smeary tiles, old used toilet roll tubes not thrown away, and the toilet and floor in need of a clean periodically. The stage when re-laying the table next to us the, left crumbs all over seats and some on the tables. Presentation for the next diner!!

I was a visitor from Liverpool. I had heard a lot of compliments about this place, I visited with my family, it was my first time in a Turkish restaurant the view was incredible, but I was really disappointed with the food and service. I have ordered Mix kebab and family special but it was raw. Also the cost of food was heavy!

Good food, lots of it, can get very busy, had to re order some drinks otherwise service good. Can be quite noisy if busy, as not alot to deaden the noise. Overall five stars.

One of my favourite spots in Folkestone, whether you're eating-in or getting delivery! I absolutely love the lamb casserole, and the bread, rice and salad served alongside are always fresh and delicious, with generous portions.

Food was amazing. Service was good, but the atmosphere. The night we came there were about 20 people on a table shouting and talking so loud saying cheers, etc. If you want privacy and a quiet time, just make sure nobody loud will come. The service went from 5 stars to 4 as the workers didn't really do anything about it. But anyway, when it is nice and peaceful, the food is amazing. I've gone here lots of times and the food, it's just too good. Would highly recommend.

Some great Turkish food! We came down for few days from London and came to eat here with family. Service was top class and waiter/waitress were very attentive. Food was very good! The only critic I would have is for the liver starter- I think it was overcooked but other than that, lovely!

I can't fault the place really. Everything is immaculately clean. Everyone is welcoming and not pushy. I thought the food was great and good value.

I live in London. However, every time I visit Dover or Folkestone, I visit this restaurant. Sometimes I go to Folkestone only to visit this restaurant. I visit them, mainly because they are Halal, delicious food, and a good portion. The location of the restaurant is just too good. On a summer afternoon having lunch sitting on their Front Patio... Staff are so lovely and nice! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. They brought us the most delicious sauces ! Totally recommended this place\ one of the top places to eat în Folkestone! Location and sunshine is a bonus!

Good food and nice atmosphere,The only authentic turkish restaurant in town,The portions are big,The service and the staff are good,Try the mixed grill it will feed at least 3 people you get mixture of grilled chicken wings,lamb ribs,lamb kofte and chicken sheesh all on a bed of rice and with 2 dips chilli and garlic,It is a real feast.

We first visited this restaurant last November the night before we traveled to Mainland Europe. We hadn’t made a reservation but the gentleman did let us have a table until the people who had actually reserved it arrived. This year however I made a booking :-)))) And boy we weren’t disappointed just as good as last year!!! And the portions are still as huge as last year, I’ve made a mental note to self not to both have starters next year :-)))) and share one. Again I’d recommend anyone thinking of going to this restaurant BOOK ahead of time to avoid a big disappointment.

Yesterday we went to the folkestone branch for dinner and my sister is gluten free when we told the waiter he was very helpful and for the first time ever she was asked her if she was gluten intolerant or a coeliac. She is in fact coeliac and we were impressed that he knew the difference that made our menu choice easier. He was well informed about her medical condition . I unfortunately didn't get his name but well done for you allergen knowledge x

Excellent food and excellent service. We have always loved Aspendos, for the price, you get a very good portion, excellent, mouth watering and high quality food. I've been here many times and every time the experience has been amazing. We have already booked to have dinner again.

As we travel around Europe we sample all cuisine This restaurant is up there with the very best as it was Brilliant with fresh food with exceptional service. Highly recommended

Best food and customer service in Folkestone!!! After driving 4.5 hours to Folkestone and scrambling to find a place that would serve me, I was lucky to get a seat here!! The team here were very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant manager even gave me some complimentary olives and bread because he knew I was hungry. The food was amazing, I couldn’t finish it all as it was a big portion so saved the rest for lunch the next time. Thank you so much!!! I will definitely be returning

Great service. Great food and some lovely views if you sit outside. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We choose this venue for family celebrations. Easy to get too as very close too Folkestone bus station. Very close to the leas and harbour for a nice walk and views. The food is absolutely lovely , very generous portions too.

I had fish with Raki, next time I’ll try their Kebabs. Everything was perfect

One of the waiters was soo nice I'd come again .. if not for him I probably wouldn't .. food was okay but ambience was not very cozy as it was to light to crowded and to noisy .. and my chairs armrest was broken yet they didn't offer a new when one got available .. only told me how funny the story was about it breaking but not done anything in days to replace it ..

Had family down to stay for the weekend. Fabulous food which everyone enjoyed. One person even said they liked it so much it would be worth the two hour drive to eat there again Brilliant service

During my recent visit to this restaurant in Folkestone, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their food and the professionalism of their services. I highly recommend not missing out on this dining experience.

Just stopped for a beer and a snack, staff friendly

I happened on this resto in a parade of shops. Blisteringly hot day and there could be no better refuge. Charming maitre d who didn't mind a sole launcher. I chose the mixed kebab which was served with rice, wheat and a terrific salad. The resto gives you it's with tzatziki. Actually for what it is faultless with food and service. Despite bring full there was no rush to turf me away. Of course I'll return but will need someone to share the food with.

Poor service tonight, had to wait 45 mins for food to arrive, no peppers or tomatoes with the mix grill. Chicken wings slightly pink which I don’t like. No one asking if we wanted more drinks during our visit. All very disappointing.

Sehr gutes Essen. War eine schöne Abwechslung als Deutscher mal wieder was anderes zu essen. Fast zu große Portionen die sehr köstlich zubereitet sind. Schade das es in Deutschland nicht so türkische Gaststätten gibt.

We have been visiting this restaurant once or twice a year during our trips across the Channel for many years in the past, and I'm pleased to say it's still excellent. Large portions of really well prepared and tasty food, lovely friendly staff. I look forward to our next visit.

I had the Sarma Beyti. Firstly. The portion sizes are ridiculously large. The sauce was ok, but the chicken was so dry the sauce could not make it edible. I ate less than a quarter of my meal. My partner had kofta chips and salad. This was also so dry that even with the salad and lots of mayonnaise he was not able to eat it. One of the waiters saw we had not eaten much and asked if everything was ok. We explained how dry it was. He said he would inform the kitchen and took our plates away. The manager (maybe) apologised. However when the bill came they did reduce it but still charged us 2/3. They said as we had eaten half which we had not, they would not take any more off. £20 for some frozen chips, some dry kebab and salad is ridiculously expensive to start with. Maybe they should focus on quality rather than volume of food. We will definitely never eat here again.

Without reservation they accepted us (we are a family of 11) on a Saturday. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Service was quick and professional, all the dishes we ordered was amazing and tasty, huge portions, reasonable prices. During our lunch they checked many times if everything was right. As Folkestone became a special place for us, definitely will return regularly- no question where we will go to have a lunch 😉 Thank you for your lovely service!

Probably the best around locally but could go a long way. The portions are huge, but not necessarily the best quality and the sauces are a bit lacking. Lots of single use packaging, and never feel great afterwards which is possible. Salad isn’t my fav and really dislike salad chucked in a plastic bag. Also have messed up some salad parts before but not the end of the world.

First food was plentiful and really good quality staff friendly and restaurant was very clean and well presented, hadn’t realised at the time but this morning my wife checked the bill to find out we had been charged for 2 drinks we never had, if this hadn’t happened I would give a 5* , however if this happened to us when only had 1 alcoholic drink what could happen across the to many every night.

Excellent Turkish experience in the uk…the food was authentic.the ambience was very much Turkish with arabesque music .the Adana kofte was delicious …I enjoyed also efes but sadly they didn’t have ayran

Amazing food and exceptional service. My boyfriend and I showed up with no reservation on a busy Saturday night and the staff kindly found us a table. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. We had an amazing experience and took some leftovers home. Lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend

We had lunch outdoors and it was lovely. The food was amazing, the service was good and quick. For the portions of the meals the price was great. Will definitely recommend and come back.

First off the positives. Nice restaurant decor, ambience and high standard of cleanliness. You can see the chefs working as you eat. The staff are well presented & attentive. The menu is well conceived & varied. Food wise the standard is generally good, except for the rice! Good portions of well prepared grilled meats and salads are good. Sadly these chefs cannot cook rice to save their lives! They need lessons badly. Worst rice, ever, in any restaurant, ever! We had to leave it - totally inedible! Although 3 other members of the family enjoyed Shish grilled meats all very nice my Kleftiko was a disaster; not cooked long enough or slow enough for it to drop off the bone! It was undercooked & tough from speed cooking. Not a restaurant we would try again simply because we like & know our rice and these guys haven’t a clue! They need ourside help!

Great Turkish restaurant in Folkestone. 8 of us went on a Thursday night for a celebration, nothing was any trouble for the staff and they were very attentive. The food was very tasty and cooked to perfection, the portions were very generous.

The food tasted absolutely amazing and the portion size was huge! The restaurant has the option of sitting outside where you have a lovely view of the sea and sun.The staff there were very accommodating and polite. The perfect spot for great food (and free desert!) with family/friends.

Their aubergine kebab was absolutely delicious and perfect. My wife loved it. Chicken shish was very big portion and very well presented. Their treat of baklava was very fresh with very light texture. The restaurant is very well decorated with the cooking area visible behind a screen. Most serving staff were wearing traditional clothing that adds to the warm ambience. Prices are relatively low and the service is perfect. We were particularly pleased with the manager that looks like he is from the Far East. He is very good at his job. We enjoyed our evening here so much that we came back next morning for breakfast. They do very nice Turkish breakfast. See photos.

Went today for an unplanned trip from London, We had an amazing lunch and thank you for dealing with my toddler's allergies! Amazing Food & Service ! Definitely come back another occasion.

Don't tell collection customers their order will be ready in 15 to 20 mins. It never is. Arrived to collect an order 23 mins after placing order over the phone (having my phone number repeated back to me incorrectly should have been all the red flag I needed to avoid the following inconvenience of an experience) and of course, it wasn't ready. Was told my order would be another couple of minutes however, I've been told this before at this establishment and actually waited a further 15 minutes for my order to be fulfilled. Its almost as if they don't take takeaway telephone orders seriously. Maybe something to do with the person who took my order not having functional ears and repeating a VERY different telephone number back to me in relation to my order. All in all an absolute bleedin' shambles of a service. Ultimately I cancelled my order as I can't afford to have my time wasted due to others incompetence. Would have rated food higher than 1 star but never got to taste it. Service would have been zero stars had it been option. Atmosphere was definitely soured by being told my order was not ready. I can provide timelogs for telephone call made to order, also timelog when I arrived to collect as my vehicle is tracked.

Surprisingly good Turkey restaurant, well run and tasty and generously portioned food.

I basically got lunch left overs! Cold, film over the top of dip and soggy. More importantly l spike to an English lady that categorically led to me and was extremely rude!

Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was both plentiful and absolutely delicious. We also loved the big window into the kitchen so we could see the food being cooked. We had a fantastic meal and a great experience overall. We will be back soon. The only thing that we felt would add value is a cocktail menu.

There were 5 of us including one fussy eater and one with dietary restrictions and we all cleared our plates because the food was amazing. The service was fast, pleasant and aimed at making sure we had everything we needed and also expediting a swift exit when we had to catch the train. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if visiting Folkestone.

Aspendos used to be our absolutely favourite however we've just got a takeaway and unfortunately it has become apparent that they just do not cater for veges anymore. I'm a meat eater so for me it is good value for money for what you get- Alot (hence 3*). The vegetarian meal of falafel as a main was pitiful tbh. What disappoints me is I had specifically phoned the restaurant and was told that the falafel main came with rice bread and salad and everything would be separate from the meat meal also being ordered but there was only one portion of everything and the rice was in with the meat. I wouldn't mind if we had ordered blind but we hadn't I had rang the restaurant but was told false information. I fear aspendos have lost a regular customer with us!

£12.50 for 4 tiny falafel (mostly sweetcorn!!) in humous or £14.50 for 10 massive pieces of lamb with rice, bread and salad .! (couldn't share rice as served with meat ) I used to love this place for the vegetarian choices but feel a bit discriminated against after receiving this order. Shame that the quality and size of one if my fav dishes has dropped whilst the price has gone up!

Sometimes good n sometimes worse food. Once I had was best food of my life. I went again in few weeks blood was drooping when I took bite of meat.
