Sweet Rendezvous in Shepway

Really poor experience. Went with husband and friend with her 2 kids. When we ordered they weren't able to do half the things we wanted. No brioche for French toast and no muffins for the breakfast muffin. So we ended up with a couple of paninis and a cheese and ham toastie. 2 pots of tea and a cup of coffee. Kids had a sausage roll to share and a cupcake each. Service took forever. Husband said chicken, brie and avocado was good. My cheese and ham toastie was poor quality. For the amount of time and price (£5.50) it took I was expecting perfection. Cheap bread, really cheap ham accompanied by a few plain crisps. Won't be going back and my friend was really embarrassed that she had brought us there.

A massive thank you to Charlie. She made us so welcome today, Service was outstanding, perfect child friendly environment and the only place in Folkestone serving Ice-cream , she couldn’t do enough or definitely be returning !! 💜 🍧☕️🥤

1 strawberry tart and raspberry and almond. At the price expected fresh cream but was very synthetic tasting. Very expensive for what it was. Very friendly young server though.

Only had drinks and cake here so can't comment on other options..,but the girls here are so lovely,shakes spot on and real yummy selection of there gorgeous cakes

Popped in here as my 4 year old wants ice cream, the service was friendly. We sat downstairs which was nice and cool on a hot day and they’ve got very cute decor. We had eclairs as well, with coffee. Would definitely recommend (ideally without your kids so you can just luxuriate 😂)

Ordered chocolate cube cake and blackcurrant cake slices. Both were not good. Both the cake slices were dry completely. It was just sugar no taste whatsoever.

Beautiful cafe, incredible looking and tasting milkshakes and deserts. Staff really welcoming and amazing customer service. Prices very good considering how incredible they look and taste. Would definitely recommend and return! Café decorated beautifully!

Unfortunately it was terrible. Both coffees had no taste and cake was dry with fake cream.Then waitress was playing on her phone 5 mins before she saw me at till. Will not be going back

Waaw waaw wowowow. Yummy yummy yummy. Love in my tummy from their ice creams and tiramisu. Oh lalala. At 3 scoops of ice creams. Vanilla, Caramel, and Something nutty(I don't remember because it was my partners choice for me.) He ordered tiramisu. He makes a smashing tiramisu himself. So, if he was enjoying that tiramisu, I don't really have much to say about their cakes. We will go again. It's sinful to eat whatever they have but eat it. I don't think you will feel any guilt, just plain symphonic pleasures in your tummy and heart. Oh sorry I forgot to mention the ambience is like you are sitting in heaven.

Very bouji & trendy cafe! Huge selection of cakes, ice creams and sweet treats on offer. I ordered a slice of the Milky Way cake, very impressed with the size of the portion when it came and it was so good!

We hired the function room for my daughters baby shower, the room was beautiful and the spread they laid on was delicious. The service was also perfect 🤩 nothing was to much trouble especially from the lovely Holly and Emily amazing service will definitely be returning.. thank you x

A lot of vegan cake options which were excited about, but it was a very disappointing experience, took two different kinds of cake as takeaway, both were very dry and it was clearly there were sitting in the display for some time. Wont be returning back.

One of my favourite place's in folkestone, I just have to visit everytime I come. I had a yummy waffle with hummus and roasted pepper and a Matcha Latte. Followed by Vegan Carmel cake and Hot water. I was there by myself for a good 2 hours peacefully reading my book. For a grand total of £15 excellent value for money, in a peaceful atmosphere

Walked pass this shop on Sunday and had to make a U turn as I couldn't resist the amazing window display of absolutely gorgeous looking cakes. Went inside to discover they also sold delicious ice-cream flavours and the ability to sit and have a coffee. I eventually decided on an enormous slice of white cream filled and surrounded with puff pastry cake,a little like a Millefeuille but bigger. I hoped it tasted as good as it looked. Well I and my husband were not disappointed . Not too sweet but decadent none the less. Would definitely recommend if you are into pastries.

We stumbled along this little place of joy. The cakes are amazing! We sat inside ti enjoy out cakes, milkshake made from the selection of icecreams and a smoothie. Friendly staff. We returned the next day for cakes to takeaway.

Was served by Rita and she was extremely rude. Can’t believe she is the manager when she clearly didn’t know the menu. We asked for a salted caramel milkshake and she kept talking about soya milk. We explained to her we didn’t want soya milk and she shouted that that’s we had asked for, when we hadn’t. Clearly she had misunderstood but she didn’t need to be so rude about it. She couldn’t write any orders down so the other lady had to re write it which meant we were waiting ages to even have our drinks start being made. And Rita was also rude to other customers, telling them to move rather than say excuse me when she wanted to get past. Drinks were ok, but slow service meant the hot chocolate was cold - but the bad service just ruined the experience

I would say that Sweet Rendezvous ciffee shop is a must for coffee lovers! The service was outstanding, as well as the variety of coffee and cakes served. All fresh and beautiful like a picture. If you like your coffee shops, then this is a must-visit! We will be back again.

Wish I could give 0 star but there is not such an option here . Me and my partner walked around Folkestone last week and saw this beautiful place with mouthwatering cakes in the window , thought we give a go today . What a massive mistake! The cakes were dry and old !! Display only quality but not for consuming! I took the nut cake back as it almost stuck in my throat . The lady behind the till was very denying and convinced that cake suppose to be like this . I mentioned to her that I'm a qualified pastry chef and I know exactly how that cake suppose to be. She against my words and said it's impossible what I'm saying . Let me tell you my darling I have more experience in any cake making then your skills how to treat your customers right. It was a total joke !! She haven't even offered any solution to the matter which was even more pathetic !! It's like have that terrible cake or can leave the building ! The mocha they made was full of chocolate powder and not drinkable at all either . Basically we spent £15 all together and despite the beautiful setting we ended up super disappointed and frustrated and treated like all of this was our fault and how dare I was to mention anything . Never return and definitely will avoid the place from miles !!

This lovely cafe is like sitting in a garden in the spring with all the cherry blossom in flower. The cakes are delicious and the tea is very good quality. The staff are friendly and attentive. Its my new favourite place in folkestone

We found this beautifully decorated fit for a true princess patisserie very original and adventurous. The staff extremely welcoming, friendly and nice. The vegan cakes as well as the other exotic and artistic desserts on offer truly delicious. Many tea varieties and other hot and cold drinks, as well as ice cream on offer.

Friendly service, good coffee (in an interesting mug) and a really nice apricot croissant and good value too. Sitting outside is a bit difficult (on a slope) but will stop here when we go to Folkestone again

Cafe culture in the sun! Delicious coffees, carrot cake to die for (so much frosting!), beautifully decorated shop and first class service. My boys managed to leave their retainers behind on the table when we left, wrapped in serviettes. The staff kindly saved them for us, stored in water until we returned - so so thankful!

Thanks to the hospitality of the owner of the Sweet Rendezvous cafe, Agnieszka, and the staff of the staff, you can spend a very pleasant time here with a cup of elite tea or excellent coffee. I highly recommend trying bubble tea peach or pineapple with cakes in the form of a chocolate potato - there is a filling with nuts inside and a muffin impregnation like a rum 🍰!

I found Sweet Rendezvous to be a charming ice cream parlour & cafe serving delicious freshly baked cakes & offering an assortment of delicious ice cream all washed down with the very best coffee for Miles around , I would genuinely recommend a trip to this wonderful establishment if you are a local or just visiting you are made to feel extremely welcome by it’s delightfully friendly staff .

We are vegan and it is really hard to get delicious cakes like these anywhere ! Amazing service and the cakes were just divine ! So impressed with the quality and freshness ! They tasted just like (or even better) non vegan cake !!! Delicious !
