Bengal cottage in Belfast

Got a vindaloo 24/04/24. Sauce was perfect flavour and perfect heat. Complements to the chef. It would be very hard to go anywhere else from now on 😙👌 Nice staff too. Thank you.

Very impressed with the service and the food. Cooked fresh, lots of vegetables - tasty and great quality. The menu has lots of dishes that you dont see elsewhere. Ordered two mains and some sides for £30. Thoroughly recommend.

Nicest Chicken tikka Kebab ive ever had, lovely chunks of chicken through it with a lovely sauce through it, it was amazing, would highly recommend

Bengal Cottage is just so good. got a lamb Balti and some poppadum's and chutney, all really fresh and tasty. Best curry in Belfast by far.

Decided to try Bengal Cottage for the first time. I like my curry hot so was recommended to try Naga and it didn't disappoint.... delicious, hot and flavoursome with good quality chicken. Excellent service and a friendly welcome.

The food was very bland, no veg 8n the dishes just meat and sauce. Will we go back again, no, there are better indian restaurants nearby.

So read all the reviews on just eat and thought yea we will give it a go. The food was just ok, nothing out of this world. Will we get out of it again, no sorry we wont be, there are defo better indian take aways near by.

Really good curries and an amazing kebab ("hot messy kebab" which I couldn't NOT order). One thing to improve would be adding paratha to the menu as it's the best type of bread.

Amazing, food top quality dishes and super fast services will be back again , I think I'll be trying all the dishes

Had twice out of here, firstly I cant fault the quality of the food, the food is very nice, however the portion sizes are pretty pathetic though. The munchy boxes are particularly poor portions, the box is half empty for the price of it and there is a severe lack of donor meat. Also the onion rings aren't onion rings, they are hash browns in the shape of an onion ring. The mix platter starter is also pathetic in size despite supposedly being for 2 people, only 1 onion bhagi in it! The curry portion sizes also woeful, they are like kids meals! As I said, the food is nice but you really need to sort out the portion sizes especially now the 50% off is ending! Hope you take the constructive criticism on board, thanks.

Really impressed. I got the Sallie with veg. Very fragrant, the fried potato sticks were a tasty twist. Lots of veg and a couple of cubes of paneer. My partner got the Naga with lamb and it's HOT might be a 4 or 5 on the heat scale. Still very tasty, a nice smokey base flavour. A must if you like heat. Will definitely order from here again and a good addition to the Cregagh.

I tried a number of dishes on the first day of opening. All delicious, really good quality and full of flavour. And plenty of meat-free options. A very welcome addition to the Cregagh road.

Had onion bhaiee which was crispy and very tasty, chicken tikka masala with rice, chicken was so tenner and packed with tikka flavour and rice ccoked well,, garlic nan was lovely real proper nan😊. Overall meal was nice and light had a gorgeous meal and staff are very pleasant Thank you 100% meal

Food was awesome. The curries were very thick, tasty and really felt like authentic home cooked food.

Blown away by the quality of the food here. Tikka masala was perfect with massive succulent chicken chunks. Started with a distinct tikka taste and built a mild warmth as the dish progressed. Salted chilli chicken starter, loads of flavour, texture of the chicken in these was to die for. I'd add photos but to be honest the plate was cleared by the time I thought to take any 😂😂
