Bistro 1905 in Aberdeenshire

We went for dinner on Valentine's. We chose the set menu. The food was very tasty. Beef was really tender. Desert was a huge helping but it was excellent. Free glass of Preseco and I even got a rose which was a nice touch. Excellent value for money. Staff were very friendly. Overall a great time

We looked forward to a family evening out to the restaurant in our local pub. We wanted to celebrate my husband's birthday and we'd heard good things about Bistro 1905. We are also keen to support local businesses where possible, so it seemed like a good option. Sadly, we were left disappointed. We sat down to a dirty table with dirty cutlery that had food debris along the edge of the knife and tip of the fork prongs. We pointed it out to waiting staff and, silently, they removed the cutlery and replaced it. The food was 45 minutes before it came out and my young daughter's arrived after everyone elses. When it arrived, it was pleasant enough and the right temperature, but it was nothing special. Overall, it was ok - quite overpriced and overhyped. Maybe teething problems? We won't be rushing back

Another fantastic meal, smoked haddock omelette to die for , chicken dish incredible and I had 2 desserts, both sublime. Please try this place , really worth a special visit.

Been here for several visits and the food is just beautiful. Carefully prepared and very well presented. Well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed.

We have had two meals here in two days. Both were excellent. Tonight Charlie was attentive and friendly. I live locally and eat out a lot with my wife and family, however I also tend to find myself having to do business over a meal with clients. This place is coming on in leaps and bounds a huge improvement in recent months. A truly great job.
