Wonderful restaurant. Quick and lovely service. Food was delicious, will definitely be returning!

The service is very good, the food is delicious. We went several times and liked everything we tried. They have a promotional menu in the afternoon, but it's smaller than the normal menu, so it ends up being the same. If you ask they give a free jug of water.

We booked a table for last night walked w5min each way to get there.. and it was closed... not happy. They could of send a message as they acknowledged the booking!!!!

Nice and affordable. Ps - dnt forgot to ask discount 🙂 Owner is really sweet.

Luckily, I got Vaishnav food (no onion, garlic, and mushroom) at the restaurant as well as at our hotel through Just Eat (online food delivery). The food was very delicious.

Taste wise is ok , but for 16 -15£ meals you get curry no rice or naan if you order rice will be too small you have to add naan , very small portions, had lamb biryaniwas funny in small bowel like kid portions

It is very rare to find South Indian cusisine at Indian restaurants in Belfast and I was so happy to see a range of Dosas! Ofc we ordered one and were very happy with the overall presentation and taste of sambhar & chutneys. Was not too happy with the maincourse. Even though the chicken was tender, the gravy was too spicey, and overall did not qualify as 'nihari' for me at least as I have had it before and it seemed like a regular chicken curry.

Bites of India is worth every penny, staff is very co-operative not just with orders but also helping us as we are not from belfast.

Quite possibly the WORST Indian takeaway I have ever had £32. For absolute rubbish, most of which went in the bin. Your food needs a rethink guys. Totally misrepresented in your pics. Naan bread was like a wrap from Tesco, onion bahji are round flat discs both mains were very acidic in taste. Chicken chilli starter was just awful. Felt like I was eating food from about 12 hours earlier. So annoyed hence the negative review.

Could not visit because it was closed down. There was no explanation from the owners / management as to if or when this restaurant might reopen.

We were going past this restaurant and decided to go in as it looked pleasant. A nice comfortable small restaurant with bright colours. The dosa what outstanding and was massive I got so full and the lamb biriyani a big recommendation it melts in your mouth and spices were beautiful. I know this is the best Indian restaurant in Belfast to go for sure! Waiters service was great!

I would not say food is poor but its below average in taste and below average service too.

We (me and my adult son) booked this last minute on Saturday night after a woman recommended the place to us . . A female member of staff welcomed us . We asked if they catered for vegans and they assured us that they do . We took our seats and ordered under the advice of the member of staff who asked us in which manner would we like it cooked mild and such which was fantastic as we are very aware having travelled to India in the past that authentic Indian cooking is totally different to what the British consumer is used to . Our meals both vegan were very nice indeed, good sized portions and the right balance of spice and heat for our palates . During our visit many other customers arrived . The staff were very courteous . We tried to guess the amount our bill would be compared to our numerous Indian meals in the past and we were over twenty pounds over , so very good value..... If we go back to Belfast we would go back in a heartbeat.

This was a real surprise . We came here for a late lunch but it was by far the most authentic experience we have had. We had the mixed non veg starter to share and I had the South Indian dosa which I have never seen before. It felt so authentic- and the service was amazing. We cannot wait to come back. I’d not given it consideration in the past but is by far my go to place for authentic Indian cuisine. Amazing - thank you for bringing this to Belfast!

Ordered £20 worth of food for take out. Arrived back to the hotel and half the food was missing, they said they would deliver it and after 1 hour the other half of the food did not arrive. They kept lying about the status of the order. Everything was cold. Promised to refund but has never happened! Take your money somewhere else as I strongly do not recommend!

There were some good things about here but the food was not one of them. I live Indian food and have eaten a lot of it in India and many other places in the world. It's hard to get bad indian food but this was it. The spinach dish tasted like soggy spinach with no spices I couldn't even eat it. The Koran had about 1kg of sugar in it so if you like dessert you might like it and another paneer dish was edible but you wouldnt come back for more. However the staff were super friendly, the music was great and it's very cute so maybe your menu choices would turn out better. But even the roti was bad and the pippadoms stale so unlikely

We went here a few times now and their food is always excellent. One of the few places that does dosas, and they're really good. The gobi manchurian is also really, really great. The staff is friendly too, we always had a pleasant time.

Ordered for the first time but won't be using again. I'm so tired of these restaurants charging ridiculous prices without backing them up with value for money. The portion sizes were tiny. Indian food used to come in huge foil trays, now it comes in smaller plastic boxes, which, if filled you don't mind paying almost £12 for a curry. However, these were barely half full with tiny bits of chicken. Very disappointing. Word of advice to restaurants - you may think you're saving money by giving customers tiny portions but people won't come back again. Up your game if you want return customers.

Vada with sambar was worst. Felt like frozen Vada was oven heated. Sambar tastes like it was prepared 2 days back. Worst.

I had a very enjoyable meal at Bites of India. The food was delicious and the owner was amazing. She was very helpful and suggested to go for gobhi Manchurian as a starter. I think that was a good start and we should have missed if she wouldn’t have suggested it. We ordered then paneer achari and dal that reminded me of home. I highly recommend it.

We went as a family last night to celebrate a birthday we arrived at 17:45 to avail of the early bird 3pm-6pm offer see pic below. We got seated and I asked the waiter re: about early bird offer he appeared on unaware of this. His English was very poor and was actually quite rude. I said to him that it was on the window he unfortunately still remained clueless. My partner went outside to take a picture of the meal deal to show waiter what we would like when he came back to get our orders. He arrived back to take our drink orders at 17:55 we asked for soft drinks, which he brought to our table. He then proceeded to ask us what we would like and I showed him the picture of the meal deal on my phone. He immediately checked his watch it was 6:03pm he said I will need to check with the chef so off he went came back to our table to say no we can’t have the early bird offer as it was after 6pm. We stated to him that we were here before 6pm but he done so much messing around, only one table with two people sitting no takeaway orders happened this whole time period. We told the waiter that we wouldn’t be eating here, he was smiling couldn’t have cared less. We advise him that he has lost our custom tonight and going forward. Still he remained unapologetic and didn’t care. We previously have ordered from here but definitely will not be back. I think giving the current climate and people trying to make ends meet restaurants definitely are at risk with this poor attitude to customers! Wouldn’t even give this place 1 star. Would definitely like management to make contact with me! Poor service!

If I could give this a zero I would! Ordered online for 6:30pm then received email to say sorry it will be 40mins later, arrived to collect and had to travel to other restaurant across town. I arrived at this restaurant and they said they knew nothing about the order. 1hr 40mins later we got our meal. We got home and my wife only eats chicken and had ordered a chicken madras, she took her first bite and it was lamb madras. Absolutely disgusted at every aspect of service. I will never be back and will ensure I tell everyone I know about this appalling takeaway.

I took my husband and my son to belfast for a Xmas break and being asian myself and my son love asian food the hotter the better, Now bare it does say bring your own drinks but we were having diet cokes which we ordered with our meal, I was just having the water as I don't drink fizzy soda's, So 2x cans of coke arrives and off the waiter goes, we had to summon him back and pointed out that we asked for Diet cokes is what we has asked for, The place was almost empty apart from 1 other table and us, so you can understand the place was not busy in the least, the food was very bland and was quite small portions but that was fine, we finished our meal and my husband usualy checks the bill but on this occasion he didnt as he just wanted to leave after saying that the waiter was rood I have to agree as I didnt want to say anything either as it on the 27th of december and we were going back home the next day we just let it go, My husband always usualy leaves a tip of £5 pounds where ever we go but not on this occasion, even when we were getting up from our seats the waiter seems to be on a timer to see how fast he can get rid of customers out of the seating area as he was clearing the table up even when my husband was still standing by the table he was reaching for his coat on the back of the chair and the waiter grabbed that has well, A few days later my husband found the reciept in his pocket and discovered the we had been charged Corkage charges for opening up 3x cans of coke when only 2 were bought at £1.95 each and a further £3 for openning, considering we did not bring them in with us We find this totally uneseptable for anyone to do this to any customer and we don't in any way think that's good on how to treat customers, this is not an oversight and can't be a mistake of any kind, as I said the portions were not large and the cost of the meal was over £58 pounds even for 3 mains it was not value for money, I had nan breads but evn at that it still wasnt worth it, so if you do visit here just a word of warning to check your bill before you pay or leave for unbought and unfair charges added on, We are not tight people but if no one say's anything then no one will notice, I phoned a few days aferwards after getting the number online as there is no number on the reciept (wonder why) from home to just to make a point and to cerify a few things to the Manager, but after he said it may have been his other place which we checked online and made sure it was definately the correct address, but he didnt seem to care much or to accept what I was actualy saying as he didnt offer an apoligy and said they were busy on the night, which of course it was not as explained above, all he said was to come back some day even after me saying that we don't live there or even nearby and we are hardly unlikely to jump on a ferry just to go back, the point I was trying to make is that it shouldnt have happened in the first place, I think it's sad for restaurants thinking this is acceptable, I didn't get an apoligy and think it was Unnecessary, Hense the title of my review.

Called here. Very much better than i expected. The lamb bhona and pilau rice i got was delicious. The service was very good. An indian girl that cooked the meal came and checked everything was to my pleasing. 10 out of 10 was my experience.

Had the best breakfast ever at Belfast at this place. It is hard finding an Indian place for Breakfast and I am so glad we found this one. We ordered the puri bhaji and the Masala Dosa. The Bhaji was mind blowing and will count among the very best I have ever tasted in my life. The Dosa was served with three chutneys, all of which were delicious. Highly highly recommend.

A good Indian restaurant in Belfast with a good selection of both South Indian and North Indian dishes. The dishes were tasty, however some seemed pre-cooked and just heated up - eg. the medhu vada. However overall a good Indian restaurant that wouldn’t disappoint you. The staff were kind and friendly too.

We visited on 23 Oct 2022 with 5 families on reference. Food is very expensive and is not worth of money. We cannot differential between pothara & puri. Portions are very small. In term of taste, it is not recommended. In term of service, there is only one person who is serving, delays in serving food Our overall experience for this restaurant is not good.

The food here was very good as well as the service. We had a very friendly man who was here when we needed assistance! The portions were great! We would recommend Manchurian (that was very yummy)along with the lamb! Everything was fresh and hot! 10/10. The kids portion was great and it it had a side of chips which were very well seasoned. Everything was great and I would definitely recommend coming here 😃 They also got us a heater because he saw we were cold. The toilets were also very clean!

We had a masala dosa and a lamb dosa..the dosas were very good. The coconut chutney was fresh. It was a very satisfying meal and the service was great too.

Good food. My partner and I went there as we had just moved and had nothing in the house. The Samosa Chaat had more tamarind chutney than I normally like but it was still great. My partner went for the Masala Dosa and I went for the butter chicken with roti. The Masala Dosa made me envious as it looked great and my partner loved it, the butter chicken was good too, made with a tomato base rather than the cream base I am used to. At the end, we topped it all off with masala chai - excellent.

If you like Indian food with just the right taste and flavours then this is the place to be. A medium sized dining place but that's only the medium you will get, the food here is super delicious. The curry dishes, naan, starters everything is a feast. Do try their masala chai and the masala dosa. For me that was the magic. Good staff, timely orders and the very Indian feeling. This is the place to eat if you are missing Indian Food.

Good decor, I ordered kadhai paneer, the taste was as similar to india. And the taste of the roti was as similar to tava roti. I liked the ghee taste, it reminded me Indian ghee taste. The lady, who served the food was friendly and served with her smile. Whenever i will comeback in belfast, i will take my dinner in Bites of India. Thank you.

Couldn't fault the food, full of flavours and nice textures. The Lamb was delicious and the rice was cooked to perfection. The only criticism I have was that the staff weren't very attentive considering that it wasn't very busy but it didn't detract from the experience. Well worth a visit.

Thiefs of india. Your quantity and utensils are monopoly it will contain 10 teaspoons of biriyani . I haven't had eaten these kind of poor quantity food anywhere in the world. The best Indian food you can get in Belfast

Food was fine, but honestly speaking the way they deal online wad really disappointing. I placed my order but mistakenly select the pay by cash option. And, then i first text them on whatsapp they respond to one message then disappeared. Then i call from my number they asked to wait and said " Please wait, we will call in next 30 mints". It was a very bad experience. Might be its a only case with me. All the best to others. After 2 hours i got my food in my hotel, after all this.

Excellent. A gem. Food was amazing and the staff went out of their way to take care of us. They were also flexible in making a vegan version of one of the vegetarian dishes. North and South Indian cuisine on the menu, plenty of choice for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores. The masala chai was brilliant, the daal had an extra depth of flavor (not too salty like many places), the pakora and samosas were delicious. The palak paneer was a bit salty, but it worked very well with garlic naan. We went here for dinner three nights out of the seven that we were in Belfast. You can bring your own alcohol if you like--there is a liquor store a block down the street. Well worth a visit when you're in the city!
