One of the best cafes I’ve been to in a long time. Quirky, nice atmosphere. There was plenty on and a live piano player. Food really nice. Best thing in Bangor for me.

Amazing place with really friendly staff, fantastic teas and food, and wonderful atmosphere. Really great menu of creative and high-quality foods that feel special without being pretentious or overpriced. Have come back every time I'm in Bangor and always look forward to it!

Staff very friendly. All home made food. Didn't book but got a table 20min wait for food but they did tell us before we sat down. Good easy going vibe about the place will definitely go back for more

The food here is absolutely amazing, delicious and full of flavour, I've had the chicken in a basket from here and recently had the swiss burger (after the burger I asked for was out of stock and the server recommended the swiss burger), and both dishes cooked to perfection so much so I asked them to pass on my compliments to the chef. I'd also highly recommend the homemade ice tea if you're an ice tea fan or a tea drinker otherwise they have a great drinks selection all from local and nearby businesses, they also have a large range of coffee for the coffee lovers too. You'd be crazy not to visit here for food and it's always a pleasant place to visit.

It is lovely, place to relax just off the main street.

Service awful need to train your workers. Been here a few times and customer service going down hill fast. The young blonde girl behind the bar clearly stressed didn't greet us just asked us to wait outside for 10 minutes despite downstairs not being busy and had three empty tables. Then after 15 minutes we were sat at one of those tables but it hadn't been cleaned. We then sat there for 30 more minutes while she ran around taking single drinks orders with no service or communication whatsoever. There was a family 2 parents with three kids occupying the two large middle tables with the youngest being allowed to freely walk on the table surfaces. As we walked out the young girl behind the bar didn't even apologise or acknowledge us. Awful experience with poor trained staff

We usually go there one a week, and my daughter loves the scramble eggs here. My wife and I like the brunch options. Sometimes, service can be very slow, but they are very nice.

Absolutely amazing food. One of the best Buddha Bowls I've ever had. Really good Vegan and Gluten free options. The coffee is incredible. The staff seem lovely. Deffinitely going to be coming here weekly.

Local produces and it shows. Got a big blue breakfast, very good sausages, yummy home made baked beans and the grilled mushrooms were amazing. Clearly the cook cares about the food. Brilliant place, Highly recommend it.

Id say it got good reviews and then when it had the good reviews things went down hill. Poor service and coffee and defrosted chips for my 12 yr old.

Fabulous place for breakfast, no doubt! Had th2 vegetarian breakfast course, egg with avocado toast, and scrambles eggs on sour dough, all were perfectly prepared and served. The French toast was yummy. All hot and cold drinks were fantastic (latte, flatwhite, iced flavoured latte, and tea). The staff was so sweet, and the overall atmosphere, including the interior decoration, was relaxing. It was an enjoyable experience that made the day for sure. Thank you guys!

Blue Sky is easily my favourite place in Bangor for breakfast, lunch, or an evening pint. The staff are always so lovely and great at recommending new beers, and there is a great selection of board games and books to occupy you there. The music in Blue Sky is always great, and I love that you can choose beers out of a beer fridge to either enjoy on-site or to take home with you.

Not even paid the bill yet and here I am posting this.. Such a cool place, good vibe, the waiting staff is on top of things and very pleasant. The food was all homemade from the burger buns to the dips and it was so good. Nice selection of beers on top of this. Such a hidden gem, I highly recommend a visit.

Blue Sky Cafe has a hippy feel where everything has a subtle nod to being as sustainable as possible. The food came quickly, and was very tasty, the refried beans worked wonderfully as soaking up last night’s alcohol. And the bacon was brilliant, chard and tasty! Also I can’t stress enough that you need to try their homemade ketchup 🤌🏻😘

A bit hard to find, for god's sake don't put the sat nav in the car on. Use your phone and walk. When you get there it is well worth it.

We found this based on the reviews, it said not to be put off by the outside, and they were right, going up a sloping alley did make you think ‘what the hell!’ But honestly this was amazing, the food, the service was totally brilliant and I would recommend this place to everyone.

Just all-around amazing staff, atmosphere and quality of food and drink. A must go to if you are in the northwales area. Locally sourced produce, meals and soups all made fresh with lovely ingredients. A great selection of beers and alcohol as well.

My first visit to this great, quirky cafè. Excellent menu, was spoilt for choice. Excellent coffee too. As we left, there was a queue, not surprised, Blue Sky is a hidden gem. Will be going again.

A proper hidden gem just off the somewhat grim and tired highstreet. Relaxed friendly atmosphere, dog friendly, really good food and a fantastic selection of beers on tap, including a very well stocked can fridge.

Lovely eclectic dining experience. Loved the decor, but more so the food. The lamb flatbread was inspired and so well cooked. If you choose chips, definitely opt for the salt and pepper option.... Yum. The only annoyance was that they couldn't accept us as a walk-in as busy, but I stood outside, phoned them, booked a table for that moment, and then walked straight back in and took our reserved table....

The 1st stop of many on our jolly to Wales. Stopped at Bangor, solely for M&S Food, until my Maria found this place. Great welcome, excellent vibe and dog friendly plus a cracking breakfast. Definitely recommend this place for food(a lot of homemade food on the menu, never tried the ales, as it was 09:30, but you could tell this would be a chill for a drink) Just off the High Street through an alleyway. Been going here for years and the food is always tasty and the staff really kind and friendly. Really enjoyed the pulled pork burger special and definitely one of the best burgers I've had in ages. I hope it becomes a permanent menu item

Went to Blue Sky following a recommendation by a friend and a bit of Google reviewing. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Very welcoming atmosphere, excellent coffee and brunch. Went for the Chorizo hash which was 👌🏻. Will definitely be returning.

Taken here by my daughter which helped as it is up an alleyway off the main street. However it must be well known as it was busy throughout our visit with people of all ages. The decor is relaxed and quirky and makes for a good atmosphere. There is a good food and drinks selection. There are usual hot drinks and the hot chocolate is gorgeous. You can buy alcohol and homemade coolers. Menu caters for all including vegan and gluten free with reasonable prices. Chicken in pitta pocket and chips was 👍 good. Staff are really friendly and helpful. A hidden gem 💎 ✨️

Most of the time I come here for a few beers as their selection is great, their choices in served drinks are one of the best around, getting their stock from all the best brewers in the UK. They have a wide variety of spirits available too, again brought in from the best distillers in the UK. Their food selection is really good and many meals available have a good originality to them too. I would love it if they'd start serving dinner there too.

Great café/restaurant/bar/venue! I've had a few working lunches here, the food is absolutely top notch whith plenty of vegan options. I can vouch for both the mushroom caesar, the falafel basket and also the cooked breakfast. Great selection of loose leaf teas and local coffees too. Good quality WiFi for working there for a few hours. Yet to go to an event here in the evening but planning to do so soon! Staff are all really friendly, toilets are clean, interior is nicely decorated, good background music - generally just really good vibes and a nice place to be! It's great to have venues like this in Bangor

Beautiful little cafe. A hidden gem. Real top notch coffee from local roasters and proper breakfast too. Every element of the breakfast was cooked to perfection. Top quality ingredients and local meat 👌 We had a great chat with the chap who runs it, extremely helpful and attentive.

We both had the wild snowdonia mushrooms ceaser salad with side of salt and pepper chips with rhubarb and ginger drink. All was lovely would recommended to everyone. If back in Bangor would definitely visit again great vegan homemade option 😋

In Bangor on Monday 21st Aug 22 Only spotted the cafe by accident tucked up an alley on Bangor High Street. Greeted by very friendly server who showed us fo a table downstairs, we asked to move upstairs as the ground floor is dog friendly and rather eat away. Upstairs was a large spacious room with plenty of seating and sofas to relax on. I chose the Blue sky burger and blue sky Fries. My wife picked the curried lentil soup with sourdough toast. I must stress this is not a fast food cafe and everything is cooked fresh so you will wait. After getting the meal I have never tasted chips as good as these soft on the inside with a slight crunch dipped in cha su and chilli ...amazing.Burger was well cooked fresh and tasty. My wife's soup was tasty and a sharp tang of chilli and fresh toast. I have visited Bangor many times and missed this great place .Staff were super friendly smiles and looked like they all enjoyed working there. If in Bangor I would recommend this for a visit

First trip to the Blue Sky and what absolutely fantastic food! Very friendly staff and a lovely place to eat. Cracking lunchtime menu with some old favourites like the Classic Burger which I had, but also some really different options like the lamb flatbread that my folks had or Welsh rarebit on sourdough bread. My mum has a yeast intolerance so normal bread is a no go for her. To see so many options on either flatbread, pitta or sourdough, (no yeast breads), was brilliant because we usually struggle to find her even one option! Toilets were extremely clean too. We will be back for sure. 100% recommended.

Absolutely fantastic food and great service. We had a train to catch and we knew we were cutting it fine but really wanted to eat here before we left. They couldn't have been more helpful, giving us an estimate of how long it would take so we could make a decision and providing a takeaway box for the food my daughter couldn't eat quick enough so we could take it with us! The flavours were outstanding and the choice on the menu made it difficult to pick what to eat as it all looked so good, I'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Staff are Nice, the food is exceptional. And the selection of ales is great too! Only taproom I know of in the area and never fail to have good drinks on, plus plenty of none alcoholic drinks too

Great café, scrambled egg on sourdough with mushrooms just the job. Jazz music a bit shrill and intrusive.

The brunch we had was really good, although it took longer than expected to arrive after ordering. This place is obviously popular, but was not busy when we visited. Service was good with servers being polite, friendly and attentive.

Never had a bad experience. Lovely staff, fabulous food, really cool art and a great atmosphere. Just a shame it isn't bigger as it's difficult to get a table at the busiest times - but this only adds to the charm!

Reviewing the taproom aspect, I only popped in for one whilst passing but it was a fantastic little find, 10 taps and three full fridges with a fantastic range of of options.

Really nice setting (especially upstairs) down a secret alleyway. The staff are really friendly and the food is great. Catering to vegan and gluten free with some good options. The only downside is that they are a victim of their own success - it's hard to get a table and you need to book in advance.

Host was extremely rude and at the very start forced us to finish our coffee before entering because... "we do the best coffee in Bangor". It's understandable to not want another establishment's coffee in your restaurant, but the way he handled it was unacceptable and unprofessional. The coffee was not as good as they think it is, neither is the food. As someone who used to study in Bangor and eat here regularly, coming back after 6 years this place has not kept it's good food standards and me and my friends were left, honestly, disappointed by, firstly the reception, and the food. FYI. We had the avo on toast and the waffle with bacon. Very sparing on the avo smash, bread was not a standard sourdough bread, instead it was more like soda bread in consistency and texture. The waffle was sickly sweet, overloaded with sugar, was not crunchy and it felt undercooked. If the reception from the member of staff downstairs wasn't so unprofessional and off-putting, we might've had a more enjoyable meal and the blue sky cafe regardless of the mediocre food we had. I hope the right person reads this to train their staff better.

The manager was rude. Not going again. The staff upstairs were polite and professional. The manager needs some H.R training.
