Duke of York in Belfast

Every time I visit Belfast I have to come here. They have the best Guinness!!! And they have 0.0% on draft (REAL draft not the nitro can😂) The pub is beautifully set up and wherever you sit you see something new ! Of course if it’s sunny, sit out and enjoy the umbrellas! ☂️

Nice busy pub, but beware if paying by card they didn't give me the price of the drinks or give me a receipt. payment machine wasn't giving out receipts.

This pub has Murphys on draught which was well received.

An amazing pub to have a great Irish pub experience in Ireland. It feels very authentic and super cozy. The live music was super fun, interactive songs. There is a big space, a good bar selection, N or decoration, and a super cute alley. It is an authentic pub, so no food, just a few snacks, go to eat in another place before you get drinks and entertainment here. It is a good mix of locals and tourist

Probably one of the best bars in Belfast, the atmosphere is 2nd to none and the craic is outstanding and the Guinness is Probably one of the best I've ever had

You can find the prettiest bar tenders in the northern Ireland here. Especially the one with short black hair and nose piercing who let me take photo of her 😬

Really rude. We went in to have a look and didnt find a place to sit down . A bartender followed us, asked if we were going to drink and we said no as there was no space and dimissed us with a rude movement of the hand .

Really good atmosphere. Went early doors…….interesting boxing and other photos etc. Probably gets crowded later and at weekends

If you plan a trip to Belfast this pub is a must. They pour the perfect pint of Guinness! It gets very busy but we managed to get seats for 6 of us.

Nice Sunday early evening listening to some Trad and enjoying a couple of Guinness.

Atmosphere was amazing. We had a fair share of guinness in here. People was lovely and sets were comfy. Would 100% come back here again.

Didn't have the vibe we wanted. This felt like a very touristy pub, without the atmosphere needed to justify staying long. Guinness was average as well. Although a very nice pub in terms of its decor/artefacts, which is worth the visit for.

Great place to have a pint or two downtown Belfast. Frequented by locals it’s one of the places to be and to go when visiting the city or living there. Good service, picturesque decoration and nice atmosphere pub.

Visited after work on a Tuesday and was excited to see live music, unfortunately not looking after we sat down the musicians finished. Decent enough pint and friendly staff

Best bar overall in Belfast, hit a good 15 or so pubs yesterday and this place was rocking.. live music, great atmosphere, very good guiness, not ridiculously priced.. Only downside is the walk across road for the gents, as it was heavy rain most of the day.

A must visit if you are in Belfast, great beer, excellent service, very interesting interior and great traditional music. Plenty of places to sit and just admire all of the memorabilia which decorates the pub.

Great traditional Irish bar with a really friendly atmosphere and live music, it was late Saturday afternoon when we visited and we were really lucky to get a table and seats and could enjoy the atmosphere. Great selection of drinks, reasonable prices. The atmosphere outside was just as lively. An absolute must visit

Great atmosphere. Can drink in the alley at the front as seating inside can be hard to obtain due to the popularity of the venue. A lot of history and memorabilia to view in the pub itself. Typically live music, however if none, it's just the noise of people chatting which is nice.

First time here and part of a private group on the 1st floor, and an enjoyable evening

I was in a party of 12 (6 couples). Despite being English, we were made to feel very welcome wherever we went during our stay in Belfast. I only mention this because of the stories that circulate about English not being welcome. This pub was awesome, everything I imagined a great Irish bar would be like. Love the setting and the atmosphere. We arrived at 5pm and were lucky to get two tables together…. We drank a lot and enjoyed the various musicians who strummed away to entertain us all night. We left about 1am, all very merry having spent an amazing night in an equally amazing pub. Tip… get there early, find a table and stay put. The bars are busy on a Saturday and once you find a good spot, keep it. We drank, sang along and danced the night away. A good mixture of ages and people from all over. We will remember this night for a long time to come, thank you 🍻

Packed to the rafters with great atmosphere and brilliant music. If you're looking for a traditional Irish bar this is it!

Down a side street with beautiful rainbow neon umbrellas lighting the way, you will find this quirky Irish pub, floor to ceiling with Guinness memorabilia as well as other, old brands. The pub was packed downstairs. It was closed off upstairs (it was a Friday afternoon). We sat outside and enjoyed a Guinness and a red ale, I used the toilets, which were clean and presentable (upstairs toilet). It was very popular!

A big draw for both tourists and locals, but it's not the best Guinness by a long way. No food either. Always very busy and part of any visit to Belfast, but if it's quality beer you want and a real Irish atmosphere, find a proper local pub away from this part of town. In fact, the whole area is becoming just the same as any big city. Lots of bars and restaurants, and a lack of soul.

Beautiful place to stop for a while and enjoy a pint. They range between 5 and 6 pounds. Good music. Would recommend.

Fabulous tourist pub,really unusual memorabilia In Belfast for my husbands 62 birthday with family, my husband went to the toilet and used a cubicle ( men use cubicle if they need a poo) a member of staff knocker on the door asking him to come out ,he said hang on I'm not finished ,thinking he needed the toilet, when he did come out he was accused of snorting drugs cause member of staff heard him sniffing Husband has a cough and cold symptoms for past 4 weeks which lots of folks have at moment Security was called(very nice lady) and he was asked to finish up drink and leave Great to see how vigilant they are about drugs but come on It was obvious he hadn't taken drugs ,the company he was with didn't take drugs or condone them The bar person was acting like a complete know, the security knew he was and other folk at table beside us We loved Belfast but to be accused of drug taking as a senior person very disappointed 😞 😔

Fantastic pub, my favourite one in Belfast. Olde world style inside, great atmosphere and a good selection of beer. Not the cheapest pub, but the gas lamps and great atmosphere inside more than made up for it. Great sing song and very friendly bar staff. I'll be going there again on my next visiot to Belfast

We stopped in for drinks on our first night in Belfast. Did not disappoint! Great old place with a ton of history on the walls--really fun to look around. Very busy, but a fun and social crowd that felt really welcoming. It's in a long alley with some very cool decorations, and there are lots of benches outside. We ended up enjoying most of our time out there. Nice selection of beers, reasonably priced, and a really friendly staff. Highly recommended, both for the history/decor and the vibes.

We were keen to visit this famous pub on our first visit to Belfast. Love the cobbly alley way it is situated on especially the brightly coloured umbrellas! It was a quiet Fri lunchtime so I couldn’t believe my luck when I got a fabulous photo of an empty Commercial Court before we went in! Loved the busy decor, the ornaments and photos etc. there was a cute little snug at one end. As it was a lunchtime there was no music but I suspect it gets rather lively in the evenings and it was a shame we didn’t experience that. Still really enjoyed our drinks here and will definitely come back when we return to Belfast.

Very nice bar with an incredible hand-painted (several, need to see to believe) surround. Visited twice in 2 years and the manager is amazing, words can’t explain. The surrounding neighborhood is amazing as well.

The drink selection was decent, offering a fair range of beers and spirits. I tried a couple of their draft beers; they were good, not outstanding, but certainly enjoyable. The service, however, was a bit hit or miss. The staff were friendly enough but seemed overwhelmed, leading to slower service.

An absolutely fantastic pub, a must for a visitor or even a local in Belfast. I went with one friend and ended up making loads more, a terrifically social atmosphere inside and out and the best pint of Guinness in town.

Easily one of the most beautiful pubs I’ve ever been to! Friends from Belfast had recommended it to my girlfriend and I, and we ended up going a couple of different times during our visit. The attention to detail in the decor is astounding, and the fact that it was so spotless despite the millions of ornaments and Nik Naks around the place bears great Testament to the cleaners and Landlord. Drinks and service were friendly, prompt and welcoming, we’ll definitely go again next time we venture to Northern Ireland!

Wonderful pub with great decor. The homage to 'Georgie the Belfast boy' as a United fan is particularly poignant and brilliant. Next time back in the city, will be back in for another pint.

Lovely authentic Irish pub with live music, nice pint of Guinness, nice polite barmaid. Shame the manager wasn’t so nice, moaned at our group as we joined in singing the music so we took our custom elsewhere.

Had a great time in the Duke of York - a really quirky place that’s absolutely full of character. Had a great afternoon and returned for a wonderful evening filled with music, dancing and good times. Look forward to a return visit in the future.

I have to say I really enjoyed my visit on saturday evening just past. Some drinks with friends before a private event upstairs. Given how busy it was the service was excellent and prompt. Been busy though also came with an issue which was barely...

Lovely bar, went on a Saturday night and was extremely busy but it had a really great atmosphere. The staff were very busy but they were still really friendly and attentive. Loved the decor, drinks range was good. Would definitely visit again.

We are over 60 my husband had joggers on was refused entry even though i had trainers on we are no trouble but he was told he had to stay outside even though he had double heart bypass dont go if u are old
