We had a Great experience visiting Epheus. We ordered a Meze platter. It arrived few minutes later, and both smelled, looked and tasted delicious. Friendly Staff and a wide selection of drinks

Excellent food - huge portions - we completely over-ordered! Delicious. A vast array of foods to choose from, we had a mezzo platter to start and it was huge. Everyone tried everything to a chorus of 'oohs' and 'aahs' - really really good food.

My wife and I ate at this bustling and delightful restaurant last night. We were given complementary pitta bread & dips and the portions are very generous, so unless you are super hungry so what we did and share a main (the mixed grill kebab was more than enough) and leave room for one of their amazing desserts! The food was superb, the service attentive and the fact that there was Turkish people eating there says it all really. Honestly can’t fault this place.

This people are ripping off! We asked can we have just one lamb shish square, they said yes but then they bring us a full dish!! And tell we did ask for that, then they said we just have like that!!

OUTSTANDING!! Delicious 2 person platter with various yummy meats!! Came back next day for 7 pieces of lamb ribs!! WOW!! Best in the WORLD!

A fabulous experience from start to finish. Warm welcome, great atmosphere, brilliant food and a lovely smooth wine. Late lunch for sis in law and me, complimentary pita with olives, garlicky tzatziki and spicy tomato dip was a great start followed by lamb fillet with chicken in a mushroom cream sauce. Everything was delicious, great quality and quantity, so much so we needed a doggy bag. Our first visit, not our last. Thoroughly recommended.

Since moving to Brighton some four years' ago we have been carrying out our own survey of the best Turkish restaurants in Brighton and this one has gone in pole position! Had a really lovely meal last night - very good quality meat and other ingredients. The kebabs were beautifully tender and the starters were very varied and each well cooked - not oily. Very good vegetarian selection. Couldn't help but look at the platters and dishes being delivered to other tables - everything looked amazing and just wish we could have eaten more!! I think it is the variety and quality of the cooking which made this restaurant stand out. Also it has a really lovely 'taverna' atmosphere and the bill was £20 LESS than we expected!!!!

Everything you would expect in a typical Turkish restaurant. Good selection of food and wines. Good quality food (especially the lamb) and excellent well kept wine - a well chilled white wine. Great service. Two course dinner for two with two bottles of wine was reasonable value at £100.

Lovely place with excellent food ❤️ You can see the chefs working on the grill through the big window of the kitchen and the food there looks awesome 😍 I wish I can try more dishes in the restaurant but I was not very hungry at that moment... The halloumi salad was perfect. Everything in the plate were well balanced. The lamb spare ribs were excellent. The ribs were crispy outside and still very juicy inside. Everything in this restaurant was amazing. We had an enjoyable night ☺️

Cannot be faulted. We were immediately made very welcome by the friendly staff. Complimentary flabread, olives and dips were provided while the meal was being prepared. The food is freshly cooked in full view of customers and is delicious. Generous portions and good value.

Went as an exam celebration and this was by far one of the best Turkish restaurant we have been to. My friend always go here and I can see why she does. The lamb kofte is soft and tender, definitely worth the price and visit!

We come here every time we come down to Brighton, and it is always a highlight! Food is hot, fresh, and delicious! There is something for everyone. Fresh marinated lamb you can taste here I always order is my favourite with Turkish raki with sparkling water making a bit soft and less smelly . I love staff and service just need a bit large area only one star missing for that reason . When my friends come and visit me they getting me there for food . Staying in Brighton Friday night and called in without a booking. We were welcomed with pleasure, the place has a great atmosphere. Ordered a platter for 2 it was lovely a real pleasure to eat here.

This Turkish restaurant is terrific. It's a double fronted premises facing the road. On entering the restaurant the eye is drawn to a wealth of brightly coloured lights. We were shown to a table straight away. The staff were attentive without interrupting. The service was professional, thoughtful and responsive. We could see the chef cooking on the grill from our seats. The waiters brought warm sliced pitta bread with olives, garlic and chilli dips. The chilli dip had a proper kick. We had borek, calamari and baba ganoush for starters. All very good, tasty and hot. For main meals we chose the chef special Beyti and Ali Nazik lamb. The lamb was so tender. We enjoyed it and can recommend Ephesus in Brighton

We went for a birthday meal, Customer service poor, Bordering Rude.... Food was OK but need more friendly staff.... It is expensive but with cost of living going up, you expect it. Wouldn't go back. Nine of us in a group went to celebrate our daughters 21st birthday. Food was so good. The lamb kebab was delicious. Added bonus is seeing the food being cooked on the BBQ grill in the middle of the restaurant. Staff were so helpful and stored the birthday cake in the kitchen until it was needed. Plus played birthday music when presenting the cake. Reasonably priced too... what more can you ask for. Will return for sure.... but not waiting for another birthday before we do!!!

Wasn't sure about eating here as it appeared very dark from the outside. However, going into the restaurant, the staff were all super friendly and polite. Was shown to a table straight away and present with some menus. There is a really good choice to please everyone here. Our table was right next to the kitchen window where you can see the chef who does all the kebabs, etc, on the open plan grill. I had the halloumi and spicy sausage for starters and then the chicken shish for a main course. Both were full of flavour and pipping hot. Really enjoyed it. The chicken sish was very large, along with rice. Bread and dips were on the table, the spicy dip having a good kick to it. Bread being nice and hot... Overall, really good food along with very friendly staff.

Went here for dinner after my sons graduation today. Delighted to say it was some of the best food I've ever had! We shared a meze to start all of which was wonderful and freshly made, the flat bread was out of this world. My lamb kebab was tender, delicious and beautifully presented. I will never look a post pub kebab in the same way again! Thank you ephesus for a lovely can't wait to go back.

Apart from the food, the place is excellent. But the food is too salty and the hummus is bit mediocre (supermarket like).

This is the best Mediterranean Food I’ve ever eaten. My wife is a huge fan of Iskender Kebab. This restaurant produced the best she’s ever eaten. I’ve never eaten such delicious lamb. Definitely going back.

Excellent service - prompt respectful and polite The food was tasty and ready quickly. Only thing I wasn’t keen on was the calamari as it was very rubbery!! Can’t really fault the service and the rest of the food. I do feel it is quite expensive. Approx 20 per meal!

Loved it! Walked in on a whim, managed to get a table even though it was quite full. Staff super friendly without being fake. And the food was soo good. Had the sarma - one of my favourite Turkish dishes, and they were so delicious! And the grilled sea bream was really good and satisfied my Mediterranean food nostalgia. Good wines as well. And the atmosphere of the restaurant is delightful. All in all a good accidental choice!

Nothing really stood out as either excellent or poor about this restaurant. Everything was solid but not exceptional. The food was slow in arriving and there were questions about the charges. While there are better options in this neighborhood, if you are looking for a restaurant nearby but outside of Paddington Station to dine in, you could do worse.
