Eslington Villa in Gateshead

We have been to Eslington Villa several times for lunch and dinner.We visited today for a much belated birthday lunch and we were not disappointed.The staff here are charming, natural and professional in their approach and the lunch was great.Eslington Villa is a lovely,welcoming and unpretentious place.What more can I say.

Had a fabulous meal tonight with great service. Everyone of our group had clean plates at the end of each course. I have been many times before and they consistently deliver a great experience.

I have eaten in the restaurant and it was lovely so booked a room for one night. I was given a room right at the top of the building but when I explained I have problems with my knees I was swapped to the floor below. Sadly the room was very dark and when I eventually opened the sash window which had a cracked pane about 4” it was to find I was looking over a huge extractor unit which hummed. The breakfast was lovely but I was stuck In a corner with no view over the gardens. I was next to the table with cereals etc which was right in the bay window. Consequently whenever anyone came to the table it blocked the light. Maybe I watch too much of the Hotel Inspector.

Utterly excellent. My wife and I dined from the Sunday lunch menu. Absolutely impeccable as it always is. First rate service, first rate cooking. Nowhere does it better. Delicious salmon to start, fabulous pork belly and a delicious raspberry and cinder toffee inspired dessert.

We had dinner twice here and the food was very well cooked and the portions were large. With a limited menu, it wasn't worth going back for a third time as there was nothing that we fancied.

We ate here as part of our overnight stay. You could not use the bar, therefore drinks were served at the table. We had reserved a table a week before we stayed. The staff were very attentive, the food fabulous. The quantity and quanlity could not be faulted. Although in strange times, the staff did their utmost to ensure you were not forgotten, the tables were slightly further apart than we guessed were the norm. The staff were engaging and had good knowledge of the menu and ingredients.

Amazing Food & Relaxing Atmosphere. A beautiful setting overlooking the picturesque gardens. Food was wonderful, some of the best gravy i’ve ever had. Sticky toffee pudding is to die for :) Thanks Nicky, Tony & all for a lovely dinner

Our first visit this year. Despite the restrictions we have tried to patronise as many of our favourite restaurants and we are glad we came here. We like eating early and were the only ones in, did this spoil the ambience, certainly not. We were entertained by mine host and found a lot of common ground. It was like being amongst friends. On to the food, we both had the pork/ham press which was simple but delicious. For mains it was braised beef in a succulent gravy and fishcake which was packed with fish (not potato), a portion of twice cooked chips worked perfectly. Sweet cream cheese and raspberry and a selection of ice creams finished it off perfectly. If money is your motivation then this was very reasonable, but for us it is all about the ambience and despite it being quiet the staff/host made up for it in the personal service. it was our 44th wedding anniversary and we thank the staff for making it a lovely accasion for us both.

This was my first time here. The layout is excellent, very spacious dining area, good social distancing in operation and the staff were excellent, friendly, and very attentive. We chose our menu (it was a somewhat limited menu, possibly due to current Covid-19 situation) before arriving at the venue and each course was served quickly. Pricing is very reasonable and the food quality was very good. My starter was smoked Salmon which was delicious and my main was sirloin steak. Here I have to make my only criticism. I’m not a fan of Sirloin. It was cooked well and nice and pink but chewy and, for an establishment like this, I’d expect options for Rib eye or fillet. I would much prefer either of these than sirloin, however, that said, as sirloin steaks go it was cooked well and tasty enough, just a hard chew! My desert was blue cheese and crackers, and cheese was rather small, but very good. Everyone in our party fully enjoyed their meal though. I would definitely recommend it and would go again.

Just returned from a 3 night stay. Eslington Villa is not your spanking brand new chain hotel but a old Victorian building with loads of character. The interior has had a make over and is very warm and welcoming. Our room was large and clean located near the front of the car park, however we where not disturbed by any traffic noise, in fact the area is very quite. The staff where very friendly and hopeful. We would like to mention the young lady who looked after us during the breakfast, what a Great job she does Thanks! Also the manager who kindly arranged for hot drinks to be brought to our room and providing me with a map too the local restaurants. We had a evening meal in the hotel and was very impressed with the dinner and service, well worth a visit. There is a large well kept garden. Sadly the lounge was shut pity as it looked a great place to sit and have a drink. The hotel location is near the A1 and a short walk to the high street where these is a good selection of bars and restaurants. we used this as a base to explore the local area and it was an ideal base. I would return if in the area. Please support a great British hotel! thanks all

We visited for lunch and were glad we did. The blue cheese pannacotta starter was delicious as was the local smoked salmon. The steaks too were just right. The welcome and service was ,as usual ,very friendly and helpful especially for the 96 year old member of our party. All the Covid rules were carefully followed and we felt safe but it will be great to get back to beautifully laid tables and using the lounge. We were also pleased to find that although we were in September we were given a £5 reduction .

Outstanding stuff again from the team at Eslington. Service of an incredibly high standard and cooking to match. We dined on the eat out to help out scheme. What a bargain. We also enjoyed half price wine as it was a Tuesday night. My terrine was delicious and my main, fish cake, was superb. Served with a delicious poached egg and with an added side of sautéed potatoes it was simply stunning. I went for the sticky toffee pud to finish. Always excellent.I dined with two friends who were both equally impressed. It shan’t be long ‘til we return.

Where do I begin.....From arriving to us leaving, Tony made our visit so special. We were celebrating special birthdays of two friends and he could not have made our visit any more welcoming whilst being on hand to mark the occasions with lots of photos! The food was amazing too. We're already booked for our next visit.A gem of a place.

An impromptu lunch ....we haven’t seen each other for over a year. It was Sandra’s birthday, a special day......yes we hugged. The Terrain choice was a no brainer....yummy with piccalilli. I chose the steak, she had the fish. Now at this point we usually stop, retire to the lounge and continue with multiple pots of tea. Because of Covid we had to remain at the table ( the only down side of the day) our 3 hour lunch was a delight on a gorgeous sunny day in the conservatory. Ok we ‘forced’ ourselves to have the creme brûlée .....perfecto. Thank you for looking after us.we adore Eslington Villa, many happy memories of previous times.

Visited for lunch during August when the government discount scheme was running . Excellent value with the 3 course lunch menu with £10 off . The service was second to none and the food as usual top notch . Social distancing was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Another excellent meal here, following on from plenty first class experiences pre lockdown.My wife and I had the three course Sunday lunch. Each course was lovely. A delicious eggs benedict to start, beautifully tender belly pork for my main and then a delicious sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Wonderful cooking, friendly and attentive service and gorgeous views. Faultless.

Had a luscious meal here on our anniversary. My goat cheese starter was superb and husband enjoyed his curried squash soup. The mains were delicious as well, fishcake for him and brisket for me. At first glance, portions looked a bit to small but we were stuffed by the time we finished our sticky toffee pudding. Great view overlooking the hotel grounds, service was impeccable and ambiance was warm and cozy. Will be back for sure.

Booked a surprise meal for my Mam's 80th birthday in January. We were allocated a private room with a bar for the meal - it was all set out perfectly for us. Tony the waiter looked after us all night and is an asset to the business. We all enjoyed the meal, and the night was a great success. Thank you Eslington Villa for making Morher,'s 80th birthday so special ❣ Several of us also stayed there, rooms where all clean and well equipped- loved our whole experience.

Many years we have been visiting this hotel for weddings, functions and meals, and we have never been disappointed on any occasion.Tonight we visited for a late Sunday dinner and although the hotel was quiet the service was 5 star.Venue, food and staff were excellent. Sunday meals are the best in the area and we have sampled many.

Took my wife for a meal, for her birthday treat. I ordered a steak, and instead of chips I asked for some Veg instead. When the food came out I was delivered a steak, as requested, but the lack of veg was disgusting. 7-8 small carrots, and one scoop of mashed potato. My wife's meal however looked really nice, but the evening was spoilt for me. Can you not just present some nice green veg (Green Beans, Turnip, Sprouts. etc. etc.) alongside a meat dish in a bowl, as other restaurants do. Will definately not be coming back here. When we were sitting having the meal, my wife complained of a draught coming through the window, so the waitress closed the blind but the draught was still coming through somewhere. We noticed an emergency door behind my wife, and that is where the draught was coming through, so all through the meal, my poor wife had to suffer a cold draught while eating. The prices you charge for the meals, surley you can get better doors that fit better, to make the dining room a bit cosier to eat meals in.

Have wanted to have a meal here for a few years. It was worth the wait. Tasteful surroundings with polite friendly service. Excellent food and wine.

Nice airy country atmosphere, spacious and very relaxed. I like how attentive and polite the staff were and nothing was an issue. Food was quality over quantity however the quality totally justified it.I had curried sea bream with leek as shown and to be honest, I'd like to book a room and visit for dinner and stay in the future

This is the first time we have attended since it was taken over and after going there for over 30 years was really disappointed. We went for Sunday Lunch and no front of house greeting and really bland tasteless food. It is tired and in need of a makeover, however this could have been ignored if the food was even remotely like it was before, but sadly it is not. Also not cheap spending £170 for four people, will not be returning.

I have been to Eslington Villa for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner and it is always perfect. The service is attentive and the food of the best quality. It's a really good location for friends, family or a business lunch. We had an exceptional Christmas lunch which was from a set menu and it was exceptionally good value. Highly recommended.

Birthday family and friends birthday get together. Staff were great and couldn’t be more helpful. Tony was amazing he made the get together so special by arranging things as best he could. We booked the private function room which was £65 and the room looked amazing. Food was delicious and served with a smile. We all forgot what we had ordered so Tony printed off the request list to help us. The toilets near the main reception has a bit of a dip in the floor which nearly tripped a couple of us up. The whole place has a lovely relaxed and enjoyable carefree feel about it. Highly recommended

Myself and partner stayed for New Year's Eve and what an excellent decision it was! The evening meal was exemplary. A very good choice which would suit all paletes, including vegetarians and vegans. I went for the steak, which was beautifully cooked, and Jane had the beef brisket, again cooked to perfection. As for sweet, well it just has to be the sticky toffee pudding - it just melts in the mouth! The hotel itself is 2 large Victorian houses knocked into one with lots of original features and a lovely ambiance. However, the hotel is really made by all the staff, led by Thierry. They are friendly, approachable, nothings too much trouble and professional. We highly recommend a visit here and we'll definitely be coming back for another overnighter!

Absolutely scrumptious food. Gluten free options too. Can really recommend the sticky toffee pudding! Lovely views and a nice sitting area while you wait to be shown to your table.

What a fantastic place. Went for lunch today reccomended by a friend. Staff fantasic especially the Barman and the young lad that serviced us. Friendly, attentive and made you feel very special. The food was beutifully cooked and presented. I would definatly go back again

At last a local restaurant that is worth the effort of going out. All the food was perfect (fish, creme brulee etc are good indicators of this). The staff were friendly and nice. And reasonably priced, in my opinion.

We ate as a family of 20 from young children to golden oldies, food was all served piping hot, excellent menu choices and very attentive staff. Looking forward to coming back.

We visited for Sunday lunch and enjoyed the belly pork which was just right. We did wish there had been some crackling with it. The vegetables were well cooked and the deserts great. We always appreciate the opportunity to have coffee in a comfortable setting away from the table. Special thanks to the staff for their support for the needs of my elderly mother in law.

My family booked a surprise dinner for me here as i’m one for a little bit of fine dining!! WOW I was not disappointed!! Truly amazing food for set menu prices which were worth every penny!! Everyome on the table thouroughly enjoyed their starter and main, and my parents bought a cake which the staff were more than happy to display next to the table and bring with lit candles for me. I was recommended a delicious gin from their selection!

We had a double birthday celebration meal here. The set menu was delicious with lots to choose from. All 11 of us were served together (no waiting) and the food was outstanding - and fab value for money. The staff could no have been more professional, warm and welcoming throughout the evening. A number of our party stayed overnight - all rooms spanking clean and breakfast was delicious. Well worth a visit and you will keep returning. Thank you so much for the lovely evening.

Just spent 2 nights here. Came up to take part in the Great North and chose it as they were very fair with their prices compared to others who whacked their prices up to cash in on the event. Beautiful surroundings. The dining room and bar area is lovely and the gardens are beautiful. The breakfast each morning was very good value and our dinner on the Sunday after the run was so tasty. I am gluten free and they catered for me so well with a separate menu and lots of knowledge. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the room was so cosy. Only thing I could fault was the lack of natural light in our room as we were in the middle of an annex of 3 rooms but this didn’t make our stay any less enjoyable. It is a bit of a trek from the finish line but I think for a bit of luxury after such a long day it’s no big deal. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thanks for a lovely weekend

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights last week at Eslington Villa, and had dinner in the restaurant one evening, with a friend who lives locally. Excellent staff, beautifully presented, piping hot food, nothing too much trouble. Delightful restaurant.

We dined at Eslington Villa for our works 40th Anniversary on Saturday. The first time we have been.

A while since my last visit so decided to give it another go for a spot of lunch. Very nice and nothing has changed very much including the fact that the main course portion sizes are really intended for a pensioner, so you do need all 3 courses for just under £20. My only gripe is really with the chef. My slow cooked beef with dauphinois potato arrived and although very nice, he must have been having a laugh as we certainly did at the 1 inch cube of potato!! No excuse really, come to my house and I’ll show you how to serve vegetables. Having said that, the starter and dessert were nice and the service swift and friendly. But it’s something like that that does tend to send me elsewhere next time. Despite that, I still recommend eating here, as long as you have had a decent breakfast first.

Great food and service. Lamb was excellent, well presented and hot. The lady with us had steak agin this was cooked to perfection and well presented.

We dined here with a couple of family members to celebrate a nephew's exam success. The short wait in the lounge prior to eating was a nice touch that doesn't happen often these days. The food was very good, as was the wine. It's a comfortable dining area, and pleasantly quiet. Service was excellent.

a lovely place to stay , our room was amazing. fresh and clean. and you could see that detail was taken with every little task.the housekeeper please praise and her team as our needs were met at every level. when people save up to go away and spend cash that has been put away for a treat and you get the results that you wanted then working for this treat all year round is so worth it. the poached eggs oh my gosh are cooked to perfection. the tea served is not just a pot of tea it is a reward to the mouth. try the kippers with your poached eggs, if that does not take your fancy then try the poached eggs with just toast. the butter adds delight to the toast, thank you to all members of staff. for everything. we have enjoyed getting spoiled. we now return back to work but know when we start saving up again for a treat this place Eslington Villa will be what we aim for on our next holliday. as we drive back to Manchester we take fond memories and Genuine smiles with us. thank you again to everyone. My only complaint is that I have only just found this perfectly wonderful hotel. My husband and I stayed for two nights and my daughter and her fiancée joined us for dinner and champagne on the second night to celebrate their engagement. I really cannot praise this hotel enough. From our beautiful room and bathroom to the delicious food and the delightful and friendly staff. We had two marvellous nights sleep in a very comfy bed and breakfast was absolutely lovely. The standard of all the food was honestly the best I’ve tasted, the staff and owners literally couldn’t have done any more to make our stay perfect and we cannot wait to make a return visit in the very near future!!

I have been wanting to go to Eslington Villa for a while after moving to the area and this is a local restaurant. Wish I had gone sooner! The reception area for pre dinner drinks is lovely with tables and sofas to relax and decide what to eat. There were a mix of people in there which was great and the atmosphere was really chilled. Nothing worse than deathly silence and everyone trying to talk quietly to avoid being overheard. Our maitre d was friendly and professional chatting when invited to do so.

Enjoyed my stay for 1 night, food was really tasty, staff very friendly and helpful, nice room for a 3 star only downside was there was no fan in the room and it was really clammy, other than that its a nice little hotel.

This small (perfectly formed) Hotel gets a very easy 10/10 from me.

Just called this morning to see what the possibility would be for a table for 4. They told me it would be later on because they were busy but came back to me and fitted us in at 3. Turned up early and had a drink in the lovely grounds. All the staff were very polite and helpful and the food was fantastic and the price very reasonable. Would recommend this place to anyone and we will be returning.

Around ten minutes out of Newcastle city centre, this is a nice hotel with parking. The building outside and inside is really nice and some very nice public areas such as the bar and the dining room. We found the room in the annex a little old fashioned and would benefit from an upgrade. Breakfast menus and quality was very good. The also offer dinner. Beds comfortable enough, generally clean enough. If you need to be around the Low Fell area then this is a good choice though there isn’t much competition. We paid £108 for a double room with two beds including breakfast.

Been here in the past but first visit for some time. Made very welcome by discreet but friendly service. Apart from one who had the beef shoulder as a main, the rest of us had steaks with varying selections on consistency. All were good, slight moa, would have liked vegetables but chips were excellent. We all had desserts which were first class. A most enjoyable visit.

Just spent 5 nights at this lovely hotel in Gateshead. Food excellent. And staff could not do enough to make you welcome.

We went to the Eslington to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious, the service outstanding and the venue was so relaxing, beautiful setting. A perfect night, thank you to all the staff, we will be back.

Room was nice but the shower only had a wall mounted shower head; it was annoying there was not a hand-held shower head to use.

I've posted about how good eslington villas is before but last month I tried the afternoon tea for the first time and I'll certainly be going back! Great selection, lovely venue and of course fabulous wine and gin selection

We had our Ruby Wedding celebration here on Sunday. The meal was excellent and the staff couldn’t do enough both before and during the celebration to make the day run smooth.

What a cracking lunch served by staff who couldn’t do enough for us and ensured we had a lovely day.

Hubby and I enjoyed a last minute lunch here, which we thought was great value. We were well looked after by our server Emma, who was warm ,friendly and professional.

I went to Eslington Villa with my wife and her family for a family birthday Sunday lunch. The location is lovely inside and out and we received a warm welcome upon our arrival. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for the excellent quality. Our only criticism was that the waiting staff weren’t very attentive and it took quite a while to refresh drinks on a few separate occasions, it was however quite busy and this would not stop us visiting again.

A beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds hotel rooms are very spacious and are cleaned to a high standard bathroom is amazing a walk in shower in our room plenty of space the dining room is lovely over looking the gardens a very good menu for adults and children would highly recommend this hotel also the management are very friendly and helpful the same for the staff nothing was to much trouble with be visiting again in the near future

arrived on Friday 26th for a 2 day stay at Eslington Villa with my wife Christine for a family wedding at the nearby Saltwell park and also our own wedding anniversary. Had a 3 course meal on the Friday which was delicious ,all staff at the hotel were superb ,especially Tony in the restaurant who was more than helpful. All prices reasonable. Rooms were old style decor with a modern and well decorated bathroom. excellent hotel and highly recommend.

We got married on 18/4/19 and held our reception at Eslington Villa. we had family staying for a few nights too. The service we got from stepping through the door was second to none. We had not hired exclusive use however we felt we had! Every single member of staff was outstanding. A special mention to Tony as he went over and above any service we could have ever expected to receive... and then some. The food was out of this world and the venue and grounds made our day beyond perfect. definitely repeat custom from us, and no doubt travelling family members. Thank You doesn't seem enough! I went for lunch with my mother for her birthday. She has a small appetite so opted for the soup, she said it was delicious and ate every drop! I had the onion cake and 3 hour beef, gorgeous! Mam ended up with the ice cream which I helped her with, would have been rude not to!

Took our Mums for a meal last night, my Mum was visiting from Scotland for a few days and highlight of her stay. Lovely location, great comfortable welcoming bar area, interesting menu and fabulous food. She already wants to book in for when she next visits although we live locally and will be returning before then. Highly recommend.

I always enjoy a trip to Eslington Villa. The ambience is welcoming, with a great bar area and a quaint conservatory at the back. Food is always consistently high quality and the wine waiter is knowledgeable and resists the urge to sell you the most expensive item. Only thing that stops me from giving them 5* is that sometimes they can be a little resistant to let you reserve a table on a Sunday evening. Their last excuse was "we've only ordered enough ingredients for those people who had booked by this morning" - not a great impression to leave on a customer. Putting that aside, I still go regularly and have a great time.

Booked the private room for my mams 70th and can’t praise hotel enough! Service was brilliant , food was delicious. They could not have done more to make it special and room private function room was perfect.

What a gem this is! Gatesheads secret! An incredible restaurant superb service and very special food.

Went there for a wedding where I was best man. The whole place was just for the wedding so we had a few different rooms. This was one of the best weddings I have been to and the venue really made it. Staff were excellent and could not have done more. Food was also fantastic

Back to top form, in a previous review of this restaurant I expressed some disappointment, but I’m pleased to say we had a really tasty, enjoyable meal with considerate, pleasant and efficient service. The choice of food was varied and original and was presented beautifully. Can’t wait to go back.

Four of us ate here. 3 beetroot panna cotta startes & 1 parsnip soup. All fine but 2 thought the beetroot panna cotta was very slightly less strong tasting than their palattes perferred. 3 steaks, all differently cooked, and 1 sea bream skin removed. Great! Lovely chips and sauce. Perhaps a small mixed salad rather than just watrecress with the steaks? 3 desserts, 1 cheese board, 1 vanilla and ginger cheesecake with rhubarb compote (it was the clear winner!) and 1 Dorest apple cake which, perhaps, needed more apple. A delightful, unexpected bonus was that bottles of wine were half price!! We had an excellent bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Discrete, efficient service made this a lovely night out. We will be back very soon.

We were looking for a private dining room to host a 90th birthday lunch for my mum. Having contacted a variety of establishments within a 15 mile radius of our home the Eslington was the first to reply and had the best fit for what we wanted.

Recently the Eslington Villa provided us with the perfect venue, service and amazing food to celebrate my husband's 70th Birthday. We had a large private room beautifully laid out, our own bar, attentive service and a superb choice of menu. Bearing in mind it was New Year's Eve and the main restaurant was overflowing we were treated as if we were the only guests in the hotel. An overnight stay and a great breakfast with our guests made a perfect finale - and what a way to start the New Year! Thank you Eslington. John & Carol Graham

A group of eight friends had a Christmas Sunday lunch on Dec 21. We arrived on time and greated plesently. After a pre dinner drink we were shown to our table. All three courses were of excellent quality and presented well. Staff were attentive and everyone was worth their tip

What a splendid evening we enjoyed last night. We dined on the early bird menu and were thrilled with everything we received. Black pudding to start, a superb trout dish for my main and a delicious lemon pannacotta for dessert. It was faultless.

Having visited this restaurant many times but years ago, we decided to stay over on New Year's Eve.

We were greeted (if we can call it that) by a quite surly waitress & noted there was only two other people seated having coffee. We asked for 2 coffees and took a seat all she could do was moan about how busy she was going to be!

Having dined at the Eslington Villa a great number of times you know what to expect. Old fashioned elegance and impeccable service. The staff were first class.

Well have been here a few times over the years. Normally a great experience. How things change. It was always quirky but time it has truly slipped into the past. Food was boringly predictable but very tasty. The atmosphere was just weird definitely needs updating. Tables out of a charity shop.

It was our company Christmas do last Friday. We're not a massive group... so the room was the perfect size. The service was perfectly weighted (you didn't feel rushed in any way) the food was delicious, the staff were friendly.

My husband and I dined here today. We were warmly welcomed and our drinks order taken promptly. As always the ambiance was terrific with a fabulous Christmas tree in one corner.

We used to go every other month but due to the arrival of more grandchildern have not been since it was sold.We decided to go and booked in advance just in case with Xmas.On arrival we were greeted and our coats taken and then into lounge for pre drinks.My wife had the turkey while I had the steak which was cooked just as I like it well done.The main courses were excellent and my wife's sticky toffee pudding was delicious I had Xmas pudding which was really nice.The staff were very attentive and overall it was a very lovely evening.We will hope to be back early new year subject to baby sitting.

Lovely hotel, amazing food, terrific staff--- nothing was too much trouble----and there were 16 of us here from all parts of the country. A very comfortable atmosphere, beautifully decorated for Christmas. We will be back sometime, soon I hope!!

I stayed at the Eslington Villa whilst my wife was being cared for in a local hospital. The staff were attentive, very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The quality of food served during breakfast and evening meals was excellent. I could not have asked for more.

Recently visited Gateshead for a family get together and, having read the reviews, decided on a night at this hotel and we weren't disappointed. From arrival to departure the staff were attentive, polite and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless but maybe a bit tired and in need of refurbishement. Some floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked and looked unsightly. The only drawback with our room (The Willows) was the soundproofing between this room and the room above. It was totally inadequate. Every footstep, thump and bump could be heard. Last thing at night and first thing in the morning the noise from above was more that annoying and something needs to be done to rectify the situation.I would consider returning to the hotel but certainly not in the room we were in.

Anything special is made extra special thanks to the staff, fabulous food and service is tops. I organise a big event each year and nothing is a bother. Love there Sunday lunch.

Visited this restaurant with family for a birthday meal. We had drinks in the lounge over looking the garden, beautiful room, I was completely wowed!! The food was delicious, just the right size portions. Steak was cooked to perfection. Sticky toffee pudding was to die for !! Must be the best place in Newcastle I've eaten so far, would definitely recommend it. Staff were great and the early bird menu means it was very reasonable. Will be back for sure.

I have been going to the Eslington Villa for over 20 years now and I can honestly say I have never had a poor meal. The meals are very good quality and there is always lots of choice. The service is excellent and the staff are attentive and professional. The restaurant changed owners earlier in the year and everything is still the same - excellent. The setting is lovely, the restaurant is great for a casual or special night out - people come dressed casually or dressed up and no one looks out of place - I would highly recommend this establishment.

We had a lovely anniversary meal here last weekend.

We booked the venue for our daughter's wedding. We had over 100 guests with a marquee setup on the top lawn. The staff have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. Thanks to all the staff for make a great day fantastic.

The reception was clean with friendly staff that checked you in with a helpful degree of pleasantness. Parking on site was free and the room I stayed in was very comfortable with a good shower with plenty of hot water and all the other amenities and they also supplied shampoo and shower gel. Tea 7 coffee vacilities were in the room as well as free bottles of water. I ate in restaurant in the evening and the menu was good and the food well prepared and hot and served with pleasantness from the staff

Fabulous Sunday lunch and they looked after my Dad in his wheelchair so wonderfully. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all so helpful, everyone from the maitre'd to the waiters. Can't recommend this place enough. Service as it should be with great attention to detail. We will be back!

Was invited to a party and I was most impresed by the food. The service, quality and presentation were excellent and I really enjoyed my night out.

WE were a party of 13 adults and 6 children, who booked a meal for a Golden Wedding.

Returned to Eslington Villa for an overnight stay . The location was ideal for the occasion . Room ,breakfast and all staff offered great service would recommend a stay to any one.

This is a beautiful venue, there was a good choice and every meal was absolutely great. The staff were fabulous too!

A friend, who lives locally, my husband and I dined at Eslington Villa Restaurant twice last week, when we were staying there. The restaurant is excellent, with beautiful views of the lovely garden. The main courses were exquisite and the desserts heavenly - in particular the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Eton Mess! The staff are every friendly, efficient and attentive. It's a great restaurant, whether you're just having a meal there or staying in the hotel.
