Great for lunch,breakfast and dinner , very affordable also great service and food, me and my family go all the time as its local, usually have things like halloween, easter and Christmas Entertainment which is very good for children x

Had a fantastic afternoon with all the family. Bank Holiday weekends are the best here. Superheroes for the kids entertainment followed by a visit from the Easter bunny. Staff are always amazing, service is super fast and drinks are very reasonable. why would you want to go anywhere else.

This is lovely pub a we planned on making it our local. But after the service on Saturday afternoon we ha have changed our mind. We waited and hour fir three meal and the guy and his family who came In infront of us also wait. The staff eventually brought our food did not apologise and just snapped we are busy. We counted 2 delverroo drivers going out with large full bags of food. Surely customers in the pub should be served first or a least told we are busy. It was a discrace.

Today my friend and I enjoyed a steak lunch and were served quickly by Luke then attended by Ryan with his ever friendky smile . Emma served up a delicious rump steak lunch cooked just as requested. We will return to sample other dishes soon.

Visited today for a bite to eat. Amiee on bar was so polite and helpful and Ryan who brought our food was so lovely and friendly, lovely staff are hard to find, a credit to their job. Called in for dinner after being in liverpool, want to come to the George as it was closer to home.we ordered steak and a sausage and mash,I did have a little problem with my steak not being cooked enough. But Emma was brilliant, sorted it out and gave me a complimentary of glass of wine.We then got speaking to Ryan what a lovely pleasant young man ,also very helpful. We like to support our local eatery as much as we can.

Called in for a quick bite to eat and ended up staying and joining in with the bingo(on Thursdays) didn’t win but good fun, we were well looked after by Robbie, Reece and Callum, food was good, and served quickly and table cleared. Also drinks were reasonably priced.

The staff at the George made us feel most welcome, and we were given a very nice private room. Even though they weren't expecting such a large group, the staff took excellent care of us. We came upon the George by chance. Decided to have a cocktails, then stayed for another. Then stayed for dinner. Great atmosphere, beautifully decorated. The decor in the restrooms was the best I’ve seen on our trip of Europe.

Having eaten here on numerous occasions, mainly coffee and toasties, but sometimes for Sunday lunch, we decided to go again for Sunday lunch as it was very good previously. Unfortunately, the first mistake was the change given for what we had ordered. £2 + short. I queried it and they said it was a mistake on the till. They did not like me querying this! The roast beef was practically inedible. Talk about old boots!! The waitress brought cutlery before dessert and I thought there was only one spoon. Said to my husband ‘What are you going to eat yours with?’ My mistake, there were two spoons. End of meal, the female manager came to the table to say I had upset her waitress to the point of crying!!! Re. The spoons, which I had addressed to my husband, not the waitress. Honestly, the meal was a disaster. We will never go there again. They had only two other customers eating at 1.30pm. Obviously not popular and I now understand why. This used to be a good food pub but not any longer. The Management need to get their act together or forget about serving food completely.

Dropping my car off at a local garage for service, with two hours to wait, I found this venue open for breakfast. Standard pub interior which felt nice and clean and a hearty breakfast served timeously. Local cafes in the area or much dearer so was a bit sceptical but no worries, it was great despite them unable to swop the fried egg for a poached one.

Went for a family meal and there was 10 of us. The food was cold then it got blasted in a microwave and served back up to us again. The place has been slipping recently so won't be going back. There are plenty of other places to eat in the area...

This. Pub is a great place for Sunday lunch and we have been a few times. Good choice of two courses for £8.45 and a decent bottle of wine for less than £9! We have also been for a morning bacon toastie with tea or coffee for £1.99, and it was really good bacon as well. We have yet to try their daily, evening specials which look very tempting.

I called in for lunch and found it very busy but they did give a very accurate time when the meal was due and it arrived spot on time and was well worth waiting for. The meal was delicious. The tables were cleared and cleaned frequently.
