Fantastic food and service. The only negative was the place was really loud while eating.

I dream about the triple cooked beef dripping chips!

Great dinner for my dad’s birthday. The Caesar salad was to die for, as well as a well cooked steak and generous sides. You have to try the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

The location and atmosphere magic, every small detail of the restaurant and service from when you enter until you are done are incredible! Our server Luca G. suggest us the Sunday roast as specialty dish and was stunning with the service! 5 star and more! Sure come back, thanks again for the service and food.

A little pricey but it's London...I had steak and I have had better in other establishments but service and surroundings were first class

Great food and a lovely atmosphere for my missus 30th birthday.

I went to celebrate a friend birthday, we were made to feel, very uncomfortable. The people who served us , were extremely un friendly, no smiling, no small talk. .I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK AGAIN!

Very bad experience We ordered Srlion steak and Fillet steak We ask for Medium Well level of cooking Both steaks arrived totally burned and it took app. 45 minutes to get them We can’t even eat them We told it to the team and they proposed to replace them but we didn’t want to wait all the long time again Very unpleasant and disappointing

The best Sunday dinner! Service, food was all 10/10

It took 25 minutes to get a steak that wasn’t even we’ll done and incredibly spicy food but besides that it is a very great place with very kind staff and would highly recommend (just don’t get the steak)

Very noisy, service rushed and food of medium quality - beef was not tender and the Yorkshire pudding was dry

Service was great, our waiter was so attentive and friendly! I recommend getting the chateaubriand for sure, was cooked immaculately. For some reason, the porterhouse wasn’t anything outstanding! The portion sizes for the steak sauces weren’t huge either for what we were paying for them, they weren’t anything special. In terms sides, I’d recommend the Mac and cheese, chips, creamed spinach. Caesar salad was okay. Pudding was a huge show stopper! Would recommend both the hot chocolate tart and the sticky toffee sundae. We went on a Monday where there was £5 corkage. Make sure you’re bringing your best and largest bottle of wine to make the most of it!

Best Sunday roast they said... Well, everything tastes nice, but it's a tad overpriced for what you get, I mean, three tatties that are not really roasted, sliced carrot and cabbage that are just boiled, nothing is roasted except the meat. £4 for a mini jug of peppercorn sauce is not the best way to make a good impression. I added the bone marrow with onions as a side. And a forced donation to some cause. (Yes, you can ask them to take it off, but shouldn't it be the other way round?) Remove the bottle of water and the service charge: Do you think this picture is worth £36? I'm sorry but Blacklock is much better.

The food was good but the meat was a bit red! The service was perfectly fine, it was a bit difficult to tell the difference between the workers and normal people because they were not in uniform/work clothes, at least not all of them! The atmosphere was really nice people chatting and workers talking to you while you ate!

We have lunch in this place I really like the place and the atmosphere, it is located in a basement. Food was good although I would change some dishes and especially how the meat is being to the table I would prefer on a wooden table and I would add peppers.

Hawksmoor smashes it once again. The staff are superb; the food sublime.

This is a famous steak restaurant. T-bone is delicious and the staff is friendly.

Don’t get me wrong the food is good, but I give 3* for two reasons. I visited with two friends so we ordered a chateaubriand between us. Good meat but it was cooked very inconsistently, the end pieces were practically cooked well done while other parts were raw (we ordered medium rare). Secondly I’d say it’s just not worth it for the price, the value isn’t there compared to other steakhouses.

Excellent service and would love to come again. But the Sunday roast was a 6.5 out of 10. The garlic was inedible as it was too small. The Yorkshire pudding was overcooked, the potatoes dry and part of the beef was too difficult to chew. But the deserts were sublime. The waiters were friendly and really helpful so I absolutely loved the service and the setting.

Starters — salmon and crab were delicious. Down hill from there. Chateaubriand was utterly terrible. Charred/burned/tasteless. Massively over priced. No ambiance to speak of, it was so noisy, off the charts.

Had a Sunday lunch here for my wife’s birthday and the meat was really chewy. I didn’t complain at the time as I didn’t want to spoil the special day. The rest of the food was excellent, but considering this is meant to be a top quality steakhouse, the quality of the Meat was zero rating. Also although the waiter did say happy birthday not even giving a chocolate was a bit mean. The restaurant was packed though mostly tourist, so I don’t suppose anybody cares about a local resident 

Hostess was great but server rolled/sighed his eyes when ordering our menu. Other than that, the steak was nice and mashed potatoes here were the best I’ve had.

The best steak in the world. If you want the very best dry aged beef cuts cooked to perfection with flawless attentive service and a great ambience perfectly lit, look nowhere else in the world other than Hawksmoor.

Mediocre at best, it’s incredibly difficult to find a decent steakhouse in this part of the world and this isn’t it.

Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service, also took into account we were celebrating a special occasion. Helpful with advising gluten free options (ceoliac) They also have an excellent sommelier. We ordered from the lunch specials which had plenty of choice and were happy with the quality of the steak and sides, with the steak cooked to our preferences. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, tables are not too close together and it feels spacious, although it is underground. This was our second time and we will be returning again.

Great staff, amazing food and Wine. A bit pricy, but you know, once in a while… The sommelier was wonderful and she was spot on.

This is a steak restaurant located in Covent Garden. I went on a Friday evening and was lucky enough to get in without a wait. The female hostesses were so friendly that it felt like a burden. It was good. For food, I ordered T-bone steak, creamed spinach, and mushrooms. Looking at the blog reviews and Google reviews, I was told to order the cream spinach, but please don't order it and save your money. It has no taste. Tasteless, no taste at all. The T-bone was 800 grams and the taste of meat was average. It was not enough food for two people. Please refer to this before your visit.

I want to say that I’ve had some fantastic meals in various Hawksmoor’s, especially Manchester, but last night’s was poor. Very poor! The FoH staff were really good and I couldn’t fault the service. The food though… We had the pate & the Caesar salad for Starters. I had a Caesar Salad in Marco Pierre White’s the week before & it was delicious & about the same price. This was 5 or 6 Romaine lettuce leaves, with very little sauce, anchovies or cheese & what there was all dressed the top two leaves. We didn’t get steaks for main, just burgers. On all previous occasions these have been served pink & juicy, but last night they were like chewing a hockey puck. My girlfriend couldn’t bite through the edges & we even struggled to cut the burger with steak knives! Once we did, we were rewarded with beige, dry, totally overcooked meat. I’d go back to any of the other Hawksmoors I been to, but they’d have to pay me to go back to Seven Dials! I hope you are reading this & thinking “how odd, ours were lovely”, but unfortunately I doubt it! If they can’t get a burger right, I dread to think how they treat their steaks!

Four of us had lunch at the Hawksmoor Seven Dials on 15 March 2024. Excellent meal, brilliant service and buzzy ambiance - highly recommended.

The steak was great, as were the toppings, the hamburger was very average, apart from that, friendly, helpful staff and a beautiful interior.

Excellent as always. We shared a delicious rib eye and some great starters and sides. Atmosphere perfect - bustling but intimate.

Stake was good, great taste though a little bit chewy at times, not expected for a Chateaubriand. Sides were top notch, service was brilliant, but the atmosphere is a bit like a grotto - in a basement, too dark and old fashioned. But the latter is just my subjective opinion, some may like it this way.

My main problem was that I brought a very good bottle of wine which was not treated gently when opened and decanted, resulting in sediment in all our glasses. In the past, they have been very respectful of good wine. Other restaurants such as St John still are.

Great beef, well sourced & nicely cooked. Delicious chips, sauces and sides. Good old Shaky Pete’s and 3 excellent wines by the glass for drinks all served up by a great front of house team. Pretty much the perfect dinner.

We had the best time. Staff was wonderful - they were accommodating to my gluten allergy and just fun to talk to. Really cool little place with awesome food

Food and service was excellent, for my clients it was their first time and they enjoyed it.

The service was excellent and the venue was lovely, the food however at that price point is distinctly average. The pork belly starter was a highlight, but the steak was way undercooked for a rib-eye. The menu is fairly unimaginative to the point where most of the flavour comes from different forms of fat with limited acidity to cut through. All in all, if you want to spend £100 per head, spend it at Gaucho instead!

Service, food and drink were all exceptional. Been to Hawksmoor Seven Dials many times and it never fails to deliver. Thanks for a fantastic evening.

We had great experience in general. The restaurant allows guests to bring their own wine on Monday evening. Very good!

This was my second time eating here. Always consistently excellent food. I had a weird run-in with my server where she insisted I had had an issue at their sister location the evening before and when I said I hadn’t she said “well you’re a familiar face since you’re here regularly and we’ll take good care of you” while comping my drink. It made me feel a bit awkward since I hadn’t dined with them in nine months and even then it was only once.

Excellent steak restaurant with great service from our waiter. Would definitely recommend.

Very good sunday roast and the scallops are the best

Our first night in London and it happened to be Mother's Day so everything was packed. We made a reservation in advance but the system moved it to the next day and we didn't realize. Thankfully, they were able to still seat us and we got to enjoy traditional Sunday Dinner. It was delicious and we had a great time!

Great waiter - very professional and responsive. Food was incredibly tasty and well-prepared. Scallops and Caesar salad was terrific. Chateaubriand was excellent. Really good sides and wine options too! First time for us, and we will certainly be back!

Ate here numerous times but this time for whatever reason it wasn’t very good at all. Ran out of lobster by 9pm, Had to wait nearly an hour for our food, when it arrived it was ok at best. Shame as it’s normally really good. Would still recommend just disappointed that a well planned meal ended up being a bit of a let down.

Very good food but exceptional service, the team serving are fabulous and really make the place work. Can be expensive depending on what you are ordering, ask the servers for info on what you like. It's a central London restaurant but it delivers. Highly recommended unless you are a vegetarian.

Had the lunch menu. Steak and chips for main. Really enjoyed the food, service and decor of the place.

Venue is always lovely with a buzzing atmosphere inside. The hostess was so welcoming also! House red wine was beautiful. We went for the pre theatre express menu and it was ok for £27. It took about 30 mins after ordering for the food to arrive so I would say go there earlier than usual if you’re going to the theatre for 7. I felt my steak seemed to be half the size of everyone else’s and sadly nowhere near the medium rare I asked for. My dad’s steak was supposed to be medium well but was almost bleeding, he didn’t want to make a fuss so just swapped with me. They also forgot one of our sides and we had to ask three times for it but the servers were all super polite and friendly and were doing their best. Desserts were very tasty. It’s a good priced option for before theatre but the a la carte dining was a better experience last time I went.

It was my friend’s Milestone birthday and the evening was perfect! We ordered the chateaubriand 950g which was perfect for the 3 of us. The drinks and sides were perfect, we had a great meal and a lovely surprise birthday pudding for my friend.

Had a reservation and told the door staff I was running a little late. They were very unaccommodating and unwilling to find a solution. Maybe 3 pm reservations shouldn't be accepted if your unwilling to leave the kitchen open during your grace period. Chose not visit

Took my partner here for his birthday one evening and the staff were on the ball. Sat with us and explained everything on the menu even though it was super busy and it was Valentine’s Day! I don’t recommend the mash.. but everything else is lovely!

Everything from start to finish was truly lovely. Excellent food and service, you have to pay a visit.

I made a reservation and went. I ordered Caesar salad, 3 steaks, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and spinach cream, and it took an hour to order the salad and drink wine, and then the main dish. The food came out really late 🙂 I wouldn't know if there were a lot of appetizers or if there were any leftovers. It was a shame… … haha And the meat should never be medium well done... I really regretted going with medium. I guess it was my mistake to order it after reading the review... I came out completely well done...ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ really… I ate it like I was eating tenderloin. I remember feeling upset..

My mates and I were having a great time and enjoying the food, but a waiter in a red shirt was very rude and unwelcoming, it made us feel that we should not chosen this restaurant as the person looking after our table made us feel like he has something better to do.

Always a top steak at Hawksmoor. Sunday roast was great too. Starter crab on toast was amazing. Wine top notch. Very happy.

Love Hawksmoor in Edinburgh and NYC but this was not good - scallops and squash salad were good - the roast was tasteless and as tough as shoe leather - sorely disappointed- solid martini and pretty good wine list

One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had accompanied by a wonderful Douro red and followed by a gorgeous port. Great service and a lovely convivial atmosphere too, first rate all round!

The place is great. The food is great. But unfortunately our server wasn’t. The menu isn’t easy to understand and the server didn’t explain anything! For sure I want to come back and with luck have a different server!

Was pretty disappointed overall Came here with 2 friends for dinner and nothing lived up to any sort of expectations With a place like this you expect to get what you pay for and you certainly do not An overdone lonely steak on an empty plate - there are steak places two streets down twice as good for half the price Not only that, throughout the night you would see rubbish get brought through the resturant- food containers, mop buckets etc Just was not up the scratch for what ended up at £70pp (we also didn’t order much by the way) and wouldn’t return

Was seated but waiting 30/ 40 minutes to have our order taken. It then took another hour before we received our food, and it was missing things from our order. Service was not great, and I thought they were a little cheeky to put a service charge of o er £30 onto the bill, I asked for it to be removed. I'm not sure if I'd go again, to be honest.

Very expensive for an ok steak. No. &180 head with wine . I know, a lot of wine but no!! Not worth it by a long shot I would say avoid

Amazing food and wonderful service in great surroundings. Only criticism would be the noise but it’s busy because it’s so, so good.

We ate at Seven Dials as it was fairly close to our evenings entertainment. We had the express menu, both starting with Yorkshire pudding and potted beef. I love this starter and have had many times. No disappointment, it was as tasty as always. Next came our steak and fries. We ordered buttered greens to accompany as we didn’t realise there was a salad. Is this new?? Anyways the salad was delicious. I would have happily had a plate of that! Steak was nicely cooked although a little over seasoned for me. I would have loved to have a pudding but sadly had to rush. Nice meal, fairly good value, be back again soon.

Out of the many excellent restaurants in London, Hawksmoor has to be one of the very best for the sheer quality of ingredients, ambience, cocktail and wine menu and superlative customer service. Within the Hawksmoor family, the Hawksmoor Seven Dials location is our go-to place for any occasion, special or otherwise, or just because we feel like treating ourselves to a great meal in a place where you are welcomed like old friends. Every member of the team makes a difference in their own way, which all contributes to a fabulous customer experience...the ingredients, care and attention with the cuts of meat and menus, the pairing of wines and cocktails - it's just the absolute complete package. Love this place!

Very good service - all five diners had a great time.

Worst dining experience ever. Will NOT go there again. The noise level was so high that my friend and I had to shout to communicate with each other. I checked the sound level using my Apple Watch and it was 90-95 decibels on average. The noise was so bad I had to wear earplugs, normally only used at a concert / loud event. The food took ages to come (medium and medium rare) steak. Totally unpleasant

2 of us ate on Wednesday and it was very busy. Unfortunately, we waited nearly an hour and a half for the food (mains only) and when it arrived the steak, a beautiful 850g chateaubriand, was heavily over seasoned with salt. The staff were doing their best and compensated with 2 free drinks and a small discount on the bill. It was a shame as it was our anniversary. Likely I won’t be recommending based on this experience.

Ribeye was superb, as well as their whiskey sour and their first dessert, something with caramel

The Monday BYO wine is just amazing! Food as good as ever, staff really friendly and personable. Only thing was that it was pretty loud so not always easy to hear what was being said.

I've never been disappointed as I go to Hawksmoor for a Sunday Roast - I will go again and again just for their Roast

Hawksmoor used to have the best roast in London. The plate would be filled with meat and veg and we would leave feeling full. Unfortunately the portions have been significantly reduced and I left feeling hungry. Very disappointing and after years of regular roasts at Hawksmoor, I think it's sadly time to find somewhere else.

We gad the Sunday roast which was excellent, very tasty and served hot.

As always the food was amazing, the service fantastic and the atmosphere great. Busy but not loud and very pleasant. We felt well looked after and our waiter was great helping with some food choices and ensuring we had everything we needed and asked for. Would highly recommend, we have been a few times and will return no doubt.

Had the a lovely time it was a special occasion. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. Only problem was one of the steaks was fatty and grissly but I was given a pudd to compensate which was ok. The place is lovely and we have been before so I would definitely recommend. We will be back

I am a huge fan of the original Hawksmoor - such an incredible place to go. While this, of course, has the same great food I did feel it kinda lacked the atmosphere and uniqueness of the original. If you are in the area, or they have a deal on, then definitely go - otherwise I do prefer some other places.

The perfect pre theatre dinner - the food was outstanding- as was the service

We normally have the best rib eye available anywhere. Last night fell well short for the first time in 10 years. The meat was over cooked and was no where near as soft and tasty as we have come to expect.

Amazing food, amazing staff and great value! Will be back again and again!
