Il Caminetto in Pembrokeshire

We couldn't fault our visit here. We were met with a warm welcome and the service was excellent, as was the food. We had one of the best carbonara and pizzas we have ever had. I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

We had a beautiful meal here. The fillet steak was cooked perfectly and my partner loved his pizza. Can’t wait to come again and try the rest of the menu.

Little gem of a restaurant offering authentic, yet not 'run of the mill' Italian dishes. All beautifully cooked and very generous portions. Prompt, pleasant service. Highly recommended.

Went for bday meal arrived half hr late but they were fine starter was lovely had a rib eye steak for main but way too much fat on it for £30 quid.

First visited this family run Italian restaurant in November 23 on the strength of its Trip Advisor reviews….which are very good! And we were not disappointed. It was the only eatery that was busy on a wet November evening in Tenby. In my review I wrote that the atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly and the food is very good (as is the red wine). Highly recommended and we will definitely visit again in the New Year when we return to Tenby. Well we have returned and have eaten again at Il Caminetto and are delighted to find it is just as good! Good food, good wine, good atmosphere and good service from Ali, the very hard working front of house. Once again, highly recommended. We will definitely be back soon.

OK food, but too rich and too much.

First time eating here, but definitely won’t be our last. Food was absolutely outstanding! And the desserts followed suit! Our host Ali was brilliant, very polite and attentive! (Thank you Ali!!) Was absolutely amazing, definitely will recommend to anyone and everyone!

Went with friends. This restaurant is so welcoming. The staff are excellent but most importantly the food is really good. The best seafood pasta I have had for a long time. A wonderful evening. Definitely visit if you come to Tenby.

We’ve been to “il caminetto” a few times now and it never disappoints. Cosy atmosphere, professional service, always on point and staff very attentive to details, making the whole experience great. We used to live in Italy and I can definitely say that this the most authentic Italian food I ever had in Pembrokeshire. The menu is diverse and everything we’ve tried so far has been delicious. The pasta is perfectly cooked, the pizza crust is thin and crispy, and the tiramisu is to die for. We love coming here for a date night or special occasion, as it always feels like a little slice of Italy in our own backyard. Highly recommend giving Il Caminetto a try if you’re in the area, you won’t be disappointed! Grazie mille for providing such a wonderful dining experience.

staff were super quick, got there at 5PM and left at 6PM. Super friendly staff including the year before when we went also. Staff check on you quite often, immaculate hygiene and a fantastic atmosphere. The food portions are HUGE! Both years I have been we have ordered a margarita pizza and both years It took nearly 2 or 3 people to finish. Each year we’ve been we have tipped and left the happiest, and every time we leave we plan our next trip to Tenby just for this restaurant. Never ever had a disappointing experience and would recommend any day! Bathrooms were amazing, and when we went to the bathroom you could tell they had just been cleaned. When we went at 4:30PM just before opening (at 5PM) we witnessed staff cleaning thoroughly and overall had a lovely experience.

What a lovely place to visit for traditional, Italian cuisine. Friendly and welcoming staff and a great menu to choose from. The food was excellent, compliments to the chef for tasty, traditional, Italian food that did not disappoint.

Off season on a Monday night in Tenby there is a limited choice where to eat. The town was suprisingly busy and the first restaurant we tried was fully booked and Il Caminetto was not far away so we decided to go straight in. We were sat at a lovely table for two and both had pizzas which really were exceptional. We had a couple of different glasses of red wine each and then to finish we had the incredible tiramisu and the equally as good panna cotta. To top things off the service really was excellent and we went away counting ourselves very lucky we stumbled across this gem. The only thing we felt a bit guilty about was that they could only accept tips with cash and neither of us had any with us. When we go back to Tenby we will definitely be going back here again.

Tiny portion of ravioli. Very little flavour. Watery sauce. When I questioned it I was told it was just like that. In comparison to what everyone else was eating I think it was disgraceful. Do they look at me and decide that because Im small and skinny I need a tiny portion?

Sadly we didn't have good meal. Risotto very poor. Fish pasta dish 2/5. Had heard such good things about it. Maybe usual chef having a night off.

Found the restaurant by chance received a very warm welcome from the staff. The food was beautiful didn't take long to arrive at the table and portions were very generous and very appetising. When we entered the restaurant just after opening it was empty but soon filled up with customers of varying ages. We only left early because we were short of time. Would return and recommend it to anyone.

This Italian restaurant is a little gem. The food, the service was just the best we've encountered in quite a while. We ordered mains & desserts all of which were perfect & delicious. The waiters were professional & attentive, they treated us with the care & professionalism you would expect from a Michelin Restaurant. Would highly recommend if you're looking for tasty food & not break the bank in the process.

We enjoyed a lovely meal in this rightfully, busy restaurant. The service was attentive but not 'pushy', the staff were friendly and courteous and the food was delicious with generous portions. We wanted an authentic Italian meal and we had the flavours of Napoli. Definitely one to revisit as there were so many other options on the menu to try. 😋😋

Every element of this experience was impeccable. Our waiter seemed to genuinely enjoy his job and came across as warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was cosy and authentic, and the food was absolutely delightful. My table of 5 had every dessert on the menu and they all were executed to perfection. I will definitely be returning. On the last day of my holiday I got takeaway pizzas from here all of which were delicious and significantly better than top Joe's, the only worse factor being we had to wait for 15 minutes.

We strolled past and they were very welcoming and accommodating as a young family of 4, at 4pm on a busy Saturday. Service was friendly and speedy. Food was hot and delicious. Helpful with allergen advice as not listed on menu. Pizzas fresh and the seafood was as if straight from the boat.

This is a really nice restaurant. The staff are brilliant, the food is great and the atmosphere / service is very good. My one gripe, which is very important to me, is portion size. I got a the bolognese on the first night and the carbonara on the second night. Both portions were very small even though I asked for extra pasta when ordering. On the second night I ordered a pizza after the carbonara as I was still hungry which meant that my main course was over £30. The quality of the food was excellent and I think if I ordered the pizza, I would have had enough but I don't normally eat pizza. Please don't let this review turn you off going here but if you like your portions big, then don't order the pasta dishes (which I never understand given how cheap pasta is).

Strange place, quite rude and took ages to get seated and served...not sure if this was due to language barrier...food was nice but very heavy on the butter and oil.

We had a table for two at 5,30 the restaurant was half full when we arrived and full when we left. We had the king prawns in garlic and tomatoes with fochata bread and asparagus with parmesan, delicious. Excellent service, a mixture of couples and families. Warm atmosphere. Toilets upstairs. Recommend booking. Short walk from the esplanade.

Great dining experience there last Thursday evening, one of the nicest sea food pastas I've had anywhere, including Italy 🇮🇹. Will certainly be going there again.

My family and I had a very nice lunchtime meal in this restaurant. The pizza was very nice and well cooked - crispy at the edges with the pizza dough a good consistency throughout. My fellow diners tucked into pasta dishes and said that they were very tasty and nicely portioned. For a family of 4, the cost, including drinks, came to around £80. The staff were very pleasant, and this is a restaurant I'd go back to if / when we go back to Tenby, which is a lovely picturesque town.

We went to this restaurant for the first time a couple of weeks ago now, and it was excellent. The Asparagus and Salmon Rissotto was gorgeous and so too the Glazed Beef Strips. Walked in, no reservation. Found us a table quickly. Service was really good and our food arrived not long after we ordered. The Arrabiata was excellent, simple, but great quality. We didn't have much time and it would have been great to spend longer there enjoying the menu. Highly recommend

We found this restaurant by accident on a busy Saturday Got a table as a walk in at 5.00 had the best pizzas we ever had in UK. Server was very friendly and accommodating youngest couldn't finish hers do we took home. Food was freshly cooked and arrived promptly a bonus when you have impatient children. Not the cheapest but get what you pay for. We returned few days later for second visit . Just as good.

First time visiting yesterday for our wedding anniversary. Food was so tasty and just amazing. Staff and venue also fantastic, can't wait to return. Our new favourite place to eat in Tenby.

Came here for a meal a few days ago while on holiday and the food was excellent and not overpriced like other restaurants can be. Service was very friendly too. Also the tables were nicely spread out for a relaxed atmosphere and if I'm in Tenby again then I'd definitely return here.

An absolutely outstanding meal with friendly Italian service too. We started with the freshly baked focaccia which was really, really good before enjoying the absolutely delicious lobster linguine. The baked peaches made a beautiful dessert to share too. Not to mention the lovely Italian wines! We couldn’t fault either the food or the staff and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Was a wonderful evening celebrating my Dad's 80th Birthday with our Family. Food was excellent the staff were lovely and very helpful, it was a perfect end to a week celebrating.

Visited this lovely Italian restaurant for dinner yesterday and we really enjoyed it! Food was amazing, with each dish being delicious! The calzone had a generous 3/4" thick layer of fillings, each of which were delicious! The ravioli were excellent, with a delicious filling and fantastic sauce. Each dish was fresh, well seasoned, and well portioned. We went on a night where they were very, very busy and unfortunately were short-staffed. This meant service was slow, but the staff were really trying their best and were very apologetic. We thought they did amazingly well given that one waiter was serving the entire restaurant. Honestly, we enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much we didn't mind, and when the waiter apologised profusely as we paid (without us having mentioned the wait) we knew the staff really were trying their best and wanted to do better next time. We will definitely be going back, and would thoroughly recommend it to all! And to the waiter who served us last night, our sincere thanks - you did amazingly!

Me & My boyfriend are on holiday in Tenby at the moment and we had difficulty finding a restaurant that served food we both liked. we decided to give this place a go, a bit nervous that we hadn’t booked but we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table straight after walking in. the service was amazing. polite, attentive and kind waiters. and, the food was even better. such a nice atmosphere and a wide age range of people eating in there. portion sizes were very generous and wait times were short. we would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Tenby, and we will definitely be back in the future. this place was amazeing i had magarita pizza and it was very reasonble 11£ and tasty, and the pizza was quite big the service was grate he came to our table so we could order and he was super kind he also gave us free shots on our way out witch i thought was nice the restrount was really pritty and uniqe it just had a wonderful vibe
