Indian Brasserie in Northumberland

Had the loveliest meal tonight in this fabulous restaurant . The service was exceptional and staff the friendliest too . Food was amazing beautiful quality and reasonable . Would travel just to eat here as we were staying in the local caravan park and were recommended it . Thank you

I was really pleasantly surprised. I had had a curry from a restaurant in Seahouses and was disappointed. So I wasn’t that enthralled by the idea. I’m so glad that I had one. It was one of the best dishes that I’d tasted in a long time. The heat was spot on, the lamb was succulent and so well balanced. My daughter had a salmon dish that was scrumptious. We had five different dishes and each one was unique. So many times I’ve ordered different things and they all look the same. You definitely won’t be disappointed. Top notch

The service was excellent, fast and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed, the music was classy, and the chairs were comfortable. Most importantly, the food was very special, and you could taste dozens of different spices in each dish. Absolutely delicious! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would travel a long distance just to come back to this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Great restaurant, we were staying in Seahouses for four nights , we ate here twice as it was so good . Really tasty food very good value, I like to have clean linen tablecloth and serviettes. The wine was very good

Only scored food as we had a take out. Had the RC21 and for fans of bhunas/jalferzies this is one of the best dishes I have had in a good while. Very good depth of flavour with good green chilli heat. Mushroom rice was also excellent as was the peshwari naan. Ready in the time quoted. I’m definitely going back next time we’re in Seahouses.

We booked for 7pm and had about a ten minute wait as there wasn't a table available which wasn't really a problem considering that it was busy. Food was good but everything did take along time, seated at about 7:15 and got our main at 8:30 (after starters)

First time I have used this restaurant for a take away meal . Ordered via phone ( friendly and concise when reading order back ). Time Specified for collection was spot on . Staff and Manager upon entry were welcoming and friendly . Food was piping hot , and temperature was maintained until I got home and throughout the meal. Good delicious, and the items we chose complimented each other very well. Will definitely recommend Indian Brasserie for take away, and looking forward to eating in the restaurant next time . Ate here twice during our week's holiday. We have eaten here ever since we have been coming to Seahouses which is years. Never had a bad meal. Staff are all friendly, food is delicious, kitchen is able to cope with a full restaurant and take aways. Love it

We booked, glad we did, as very busy Tuesday night. A small brightly lit room, modern decor,we were met by friendly welcoming man. Shown to a table, nice white table linen, luckily a table for 4, and only 2 of us, as very small in size. Drinks arrived promptly, but service was alittle slow in taking our order, very busy with takeaway orders I think. However the food was excellent, good portions, and really tasty. Great value.

From entering the Indian Brasserie, everything was first class. A very warm welcome, we were soon at our table. Our coats were taken away. The service was super slick. These guys know what they are about. Drinks were ordered and served. We were given ample time to peruse the varied choices on the menu. Sometimes it is concerning to see such a large selection. No worries tonight. We ordered very different dishes. Both were served in a short space of time and both were the best we have tasted in quite a while. We were constantly asked if we required anything. The manager, in the background, did an excellent job with his staff. They were definitely on the ball and a credit to the manager. We had a really tasty meal and enjoyed the first class attention. We'll done I.B. It's a shame we live over a hundred miles away. Thank you.

We had a lovely Mother's day evening meal here, the setting is lovely, with plenty of parking in the car park at the rear of the premises. We had 3 different curries, rice dishes and naan breads, all 3 were delicious, the shahe rice in particular was outstanding. The staff were polite and very attentive, without being intrusive. Overall it was a lovely dining experience, and I'm more than happy to recommend it.

Wow the food was amazing the chicken tikka was beautiful so tender and juicy best ever. The service was excellent very kind and attentative waiting staff. Nice clean and spacious seating would recommend a visit 💯 %

After a few beers Ic and Flic decided to go for an Indian meal. Good choice. Surprised that they still use white starched tableware. Did our best not to make a mess. Cobra on draught. Had excellent starters and mains. Really succulent meat. I could go a bit hotter but others " just right." All enjoyed the good. Lovely friendly staff.

This was the best Indian meal we had ever tasted. We were staying in a hotel nearby but it’s worth driving to Seahouses just for this . Staff were super friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean. Only thing was we had a table for 2 which was quite small and when all the dishes came it became rather crowded.

We were staying in the area and couldn't choose between the two Indian food options in Seahouses. Having read the previous hilarious review about mistakenly booking the same named restaurant in another County 350 miles away, we went with the Indian Brasserie. Staff were very attentive. We had prawn puree and rajastani lamb chops to start. Then Nawabi Gosht and Shahe Jal Jool for mains. With pilau rice and peshwari naan. Food was excellent. Spice levels just as indicated. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend it.

My partner and I visited this place last night. We were staying in seahouses on a little overnighter for may partner’s birthday. What a lovely restaurant this is. All of the staff were so polite friendly and charming. Couldn’t do enough for us. Our meal was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared chicken and vegetable pakoras and popadoms with pickles. My partner then had a braised Indian style lamb shank (sorry can’t remember the name) first time I’ve seen this on a menu at Indian restaurant and he loved it. So well cooked and tasty. I had my fave chicken tikka balti. We were stuffed and loved it. Thank you all who work here for making our visit memorable

We arrived after making a reservation. The mistake we made was that our booking was for the Indian Brasserie in Cheltenham. It turns out the Indian Brasserie in Seahouses does not do online booking as where Cheltenham does, which is, if you are interested, 310 miles and six hours drive from Seahouses! The manager is a really all round nice guy and managed to accommodate six adults on a table for a really superb meal. Look at my other reviews to see where I've been!

Visited today whilst on holiday in Bamburgh. Excellent food, polite and friendly staff, lovely clean restaurant. We were well looked after from start to finish. One of the best if not the best Indian meals we’ve ever had. Highly recommended ⭐️

Went here for a meal whilst staying in Seahouses. We’d read mixed reviews but thought we’d make our own minds up. So glad we went, the food was delicious and the service was so attentive. I had a garlic chicken and mushroom starter, and it was so tasty. If we’re ever visiting the area again we’d definitely go back. Thanks for a great evening!

Staying in Beadnell we ordered a takeaway from the Indian Brasserie. It was delicious and would not hesitate to return. Service first class.

Excellent meal as usual. The staff are amazing and we are always made to feel incredibly welcome. The curries are freshly made and if you ask Khalam and the rest of the staff for recommendations they are happy to provide and also to tell you what is in the dish and the history behind it.

Went mid- week, so quieter than weekends, the food was lovely staff really friendly and overall a pleasant experience.

Booked a table for Saturday the 16th of December and as soon as we arrived me and my husband felt really welcomed. The food was fast to the table and the staff were amazing. Every time a drink was nearly empty the staff were straight over and asking if we needed anything else. The portions were just the right size and the food was amazing. Would recommend 100% lovely place and lovely staff

I ordered a takeaway to collect, and it was ready and waiting when I arrived. Very friendly and pleasant staff. The Beef Madras was superb, with large chunks of lean, tender beef. Fabulous, authentically spiced sauce, far better than the same dish I had here two years ago. My mushroom pilau was delicious and flavoursome, while the onion bhajis were the best I've had anywhere. The side salad and dressing were a lovely addition.

Take out only so can’t comment on atmosphere. Food tasted great. Yes the chicken tikka is on the creamy side but we like it like that. Onion barges were a little oily. But they were the only comments. Great service.

If you are visiting Seahouses in Northumberland & you favour Indian food then this is a must dine in experience. The menu choice is wide ranging but expertly offered, the food is 👍👍👍 and the hospitality bang on, a great place to eat out 🤞

Great food in a friendly restaurant. Main courses are all good with the chef’s specials are especially recommended. Don’t worry they have all the usual classics to satisfy any taste or heats.

Food was nice but portions small. We were ordering for 4 adults. Had a PORTION of chicken pakora and vegetable pakora to start. The vegetable pakora had 2 pieces and the chicken pakora had 3 pieces😱😱 Pakora portions were £4.45 each.

Dined there this evening 7th October, after getting a takeaway last week and being so impressed. Food is excellent. Customer service is absolutely brilliant. Staff so friendly. Nothing to much bother.

Only been twice and both times have been excellent, staff are great and food is beautiful. We’ve both had our mains from the Chefs specials and would highly recommend anything from there. We will definitely return again and again.

Had a meal here whilst on holiday. Food was gorgeous, we really enjoyed it and it made my day that they served Heineken 0% no alcohol beer. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive. We had on arrival with no booking and were greeted warmly also unlike another Indian restaurant we tried to get into .They accepted our assistance dog without any problems ..the other place totally refused her.... We have come down to stay for the weekend to celebrate a birthday, we spent the day at Seahouses and then ordered a takeaway at Indian Brasserie to takeaway so we didn’t have to travel back for an order, phoned and gave order no problem, receipt stated king prawn hari chillie but when we opened our delivery it was chicken, I don’t eat meat so was very disappointed, I phoned to let them no the mistake and was told the error was made and if we could go and collect the dish but as our driver had then settled till a drink no one could drive and we were checking out tomorrow at 10am so wouldn’t be open. He said he would give a refund but we had to drive back to give a signature for a refund but as no one could drive due to having a drink then checking out tomorrow at 10am we couldn’t come back for refund, he said he couldn’t do it over the phone which is ridiculous in this day and age as card payments can be taken over the phone, he then said next time we visit he would give the refund but we will not be through this way again as not from here, I ended up having nothing and so disappointed. Really angry that they couldn’t do a straight forward refund over the phone so out of pocket for an error they made!.

Simply outstanding! They made my curry to order as it wasn’t on the menu and the waiter said I must be from Bradford with what we ordered ……. he was right! I’ve had some cracking curries over the years but you guys are near the top! Spot on.

A great Indian , it had been a few years since with last went on holiday to Seahouses and had a takeaway from here and it hadn’t changed still great .

We picked up the curry for a takeaway. Everything was hot and as ordered. The best dish was the vegetable biriyani. However the zalfrei was very oily and had leaked out and ended up staining the table mat at our holiday home.

There's pretty much two Indian restaurants in Seahouses. I looked at the reviews for the Indian Brasserie and Spicy House and settled on Indian Brasserie. Was absolutely no issues with this curry. Very tasty and you could see the ingredients, i.e. Onions, peppers etc. Peshwari naan was too sweet for me though and it overpowered the curry.

Saw the reviews and thought it was worth a try so we booked a table in advance. On arrival a few days later, and on time we were greeted with the response from staff that our table was not ready so we needed to wait. So we sat and waited. A few moments later another couple came in and were greeted like long lost friends with hugs and kisses but they said sorry we haven’t booked just chanced coming in. With that the staff just said no problem and ushered them away to be seated. On seeing this I did say how come they go straight in when they haven’t booked but we have and we have to wait. The staff member slightly off guard responded they had booked, which we rebutted as we had heard the whole conversation, with that the staff member just shouted at us “ Just GET OUT GET OUT” we’ll not what we expected as this was supposed to be a decent restaurant but obviously not. So obviously we left and we will never return. All I can say is if not a local or friend of the staff, avoid at all costs Just terrible

The food was amazing so for that I would well recommend. However we felt a little unwelcome. Was asked if we had a reservation although there was only one couple in. If we'd have been told earlier that two large parties were dining later, we would of probably changed our minds.

The staff were very friendly and attentive and the layout and decor was lovely too. The food was delicious, we ordered two fairly spicy currys and 1 mild one and they were all delicious, we will definitely be visiting again.

Hi ate here on 9th August with my husband. We had pre booked a table. Very busy. Food very good but was ruined by the staff in particular the male who appeared to b in charge on the floor that night. Trying to b over efficient to the point he was coming across as rude. Wasn't happy when u were not buying alcohol with your meal. Wouldn't want to go back even though food was good.

Coming from horrible Bradford, I can confidently say that I have had some of the worst curries ever, served up in the scruffiest dives, by the most rude staff imaginable. This place on the other hand was outstanding! Well done guys. The family loved it. Probably the 10th time we've visited over as many years.
