La Bella Ristorante italiano in North Lanarkshire

The food is good, today the service wasn't. We go here quite a lot but it really grates on me that they charge for a doggy bag, and that depends on who serves you. I've asked for it to be reversed on several occasions which they have complied with, some of the staff that know us as regulars don't even apply it. Once again I refuse to go back.

Went here last night and never had a bad experience, BUT I won't be back. Unable to cook a steak, it was cremated asked for a medium to rare, not a bit of pink. Pasta under cooked and so chewy. The drinks weren't any better, drowned each dink when asked for a dash with rum basicly couldnt taste the rum just coke. The young girl serving us was so unhappy to be there, just not a nice experience at all, wasted birthday.

Went here for a midweek dinner with my work mates It was absolutely fantastic everyone had something different of their menu Let me just say that all the plates were cleared by the end of the meal I would definitely recommend giving it a try and will return with my better half so she can try the delicious food there

We came here for my Sisters 30th and it was brilliant. Food was authentic and well cooked. Service moved at a good pace and it was throughly enjoyable. We will be back. Also very reasonably priced.

Very friendly and welcoming with extensive menu. Lovely atmosphere and food was excellent. Fish dish was full and so mean full with a range of mussels, king prawns, squid, salmon and scallops. Plenty of food. Cooked perfectly, very tasty and finished with tiramisu. Highly recommend.

Another great meal here. The food is always good but the staff members make the experience one step ahead of elsewhere. This time we were looked after by Georgious and Ramos. See you again soon.

Food and drinks from start to finish were excellent and served by very friendly and efficient staff.....can't praise them enough!! Laid back, cosy atmosphere just perfect for family night out. Small excellent Italian restaurant where food, service and comfortable surroundings are all excellent.

If you are considering going to La Bella , do not think twice. This is the best restaurant in the area. The food is simply amazing. Everything freshly cooked and delicious. My 8 year old who is a pizza expert says the pizza is “the best ever!!” Leave room for desert! All home made. The sticky toffee pudding is excellent and if you are lucky enough to be in when the chocolate cheesecake is on, leave a little room for desert! The service is friendly and food comes out quickly. Decided not to wash dishes this Sunday, so we went to try out this Italian restaurant, fairly new to the town.

I have been to La Bella, a couple of times, and never disappointed. The food is amazing. Its served quickly & hot. I love the spaghetti carbonara, so tasty, my plate is always empty. I can recommend La Bella enough. Such a welcoming and very friendly staff & atmosphere.

Went for dinner, choices were great, food was good and excellent value. Not a huge fan of Italians but I got to say I will be back.

Have visited La Bella many times and the staff have always been very friendly, especially with my two little boys. My oldest loves La Bella and always asks to visit here for a special treat. The special menu which is on offer is great value for money and the portion sizes are really big for a special menu.

Have eaten here several times and the food is always excellent and very friendly service. My son is a very fussy eater and always leaves here with a full tummy. Nothing too much trouble and the staff are great with the kids.

We use this restaurant regularly when going out as a couple, as a family and with friends, the food is always spot on and staff very friendly they'll have a laugh and joke with you esp with the kids. We visited just last week and yes it was busy being Xmas period but the staff couldn't have been nicer and the food and service was just as good as always. The sticky toffee pudding is a big favourite of my partners for dessert.

We came to la bella for a family meal food was delicious and service was great we cant wait to return.

Recently visited La Bella with my mum. All staff were very welcoming on arrival, seating us at a booth as requested, and could not be more helpful. There are a wide variety of starters to suit everybody, such as mozzarella sticks, mussels, pate, arancini etc however we passed on starters as we wanted to save room for my favourite dessert of Sticky toffee pudding. I ordered a parmaham pizza which was delicious, and my mum wanted a creamy pasta with chicken & bacon, this wasn’t on the menu but staff and chef were very accommodating and this was not a bother. The garlic bread is also fab, and great portion sizes too. Staff were attentive throughout, & nothing was too much of a problem. We finished off with two sticky toffee puddings (which as always were to die for), we even asked for extra sauce as we love it so much & again this was no bother. Lastly just to add, great food for even great prices. The only restaurant that still does their specials menu over the festive period!! Another great visit to this restaurant and will most definitely be back soon. Thanks again!

I'll be honest, i don't often write reviews but i have to in this instance. We went for cheistmas dinner, we were booked in for 5pm and it was almost 5.30 before we even got looked at for the table as well as many others. We got took to the table ( family of 6 adults ) and instantly were all uncomfortable with 2 waiters attitude to one family member. Immediately telling her they were going to marey her and take her away to another country. This family member is the only one with a dress on so clearly the staff are sleazy. Kept calling her beautiful and ignoring the rest of the party ( mother and gran very uncomfortable with this ). Anyway.. were only given a cocktail and wine list so asked if they had a drink showing what cider or soft drinks they have to be told 'we dont have. Pick something'. So we ordered drinks ( 3 came wrong ), re ordered other drinks that took almost 20 mins to come. Missed 1 drink out completely and never returned with this until the starters had ARRIVED. Staff too busy to get a hold of. Finally ordered starters after about 25 minutes and again 2 came completely wrong leaving 2 people not eating while everyone else was. Then the mains come ( all correct except one ) which left one member of the family with no food while everyone else ate. Again ordered drinks that never even came! Then came to deserts and were told most had sold out so we could have coffee or ice cream ( paying for a christmas menu we felt we were robbed as esch person was £55 just for the 3 courses on this set menu ) so a couple of scoops of ice cream or a coffee hardly cost the same as cake etc. I totally understand christmas is a busy day, ive done christmas in hospitality mistakes happen! But not this many and we never ever did get a single apology. Instead we were made to feel a burden. The only person the staff were nice to was the person in our party who was in the dress feeling very uncomfortable as they wouldnt leave her alone and kept ignoring us. She actually said several times she was close to leaving but the deposit was non refundable so stayed! Overall not a good experience and every single member of our party will not return as will the table beside us who also were overheard saying how innapropriate the waiters were. Too many strikes in one meal. avoid.

Went here for Christmas dinner with family of fussy eaters and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Very busy but the food was excellent and all were suited. The service was good too. Very friendly staff rushed off their feet but still had a chance to talk and joke with the customers. This restaurant may not look much from the outside but it is nice inside.

Visited with friends was told that we couldn't get anything of the special menu that they didnt do it during December and was told we had to pay a dearer price that what it was to then find out that the server was lying and that they do run the special menu they were incredibly rude when we asked about the menu. The waiter was so uncooperative that he made some of us very upset and feel unwelcomed. Definitely will not be coming here again.

Came for lunch and made a comment of the fish being slightly over cooked and hard - this was brought to the waiters attention three times and it was ignored without any apology or any offer of substitute. The food overall wasn’t great and not worth the price we paid when factoring in the poor service. When the table was being cleared we mentioned the fish again and the waiter spoke over us and was too busy pushing for us to buy desserts - would not come back!

This establishment advertises itself as an Italian restaurant but there is nothing Italian about it. The food is some lame attempt at italian, the service is awful and the decor is tacky.

Visited and had the three course set menu for £12.95. Good selection on the menu and excellent priced.

Second visit this holiday. I had pizza with mushroom and ham on a tomato base. Really tasty. Dad had the same pizza but with cheese. First time he had the pizza and really enjoyed it.

There is no need to jump a taxi into Glasgow for dinner anymore thanks to La Bella- save your money, eat locally, and have a genuinely better time anyway. The food in La Bella is absolutely terrific as is the setting and presentation. The lunch menu is also terrific value for money.

Visited this place for a friends b'day dinner few weeks ago, the menu variety and portions were really good! Mussels or carpaccio starter highly recommended! Main courses were great as well, good pastas and fish dishes! Very attentive and friendly service.

Being a regular visitor to Cumbernauld, I was familiar with the Carrickstone and had often walked passed La Bella, but had never gone in. It's easy to overlook La Bella as it's positioned in the corner of a fairly soulless car park, but friends had recommended it so we thought we'd give their early menu a try (available 4 - 6pm). It was great!

First visit and thought it was ok. Had mussels to start with which were very small in size but served in a nice cream sauce. Main was lobster ravioli which was ok. The tiramisu as my favourite part of the meal. When we asked what the dish of the day was we were told there wasn’t one. Place as quite quiet so service was very efficient. Pleasant staff, can’t fault them, but overall meal was ok.

Lovely surprise, we always head out to Kirkintilloch or Bishopbriggs for Italian but decided to try this place, so glad we did as it was lovely from the decor to the food and the staff. Best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be back.

First time but will certainly return, Brother-in -law recommended it although it's easy to miss being on the top car park at the Cumbernauld Carbuncle. Hidden in the corner of the car park I'm glad I made the effort. The prices are reasonable as is the wine list, and the staff are all very attentive without being in your face.Best mussels I've had in a long time and the rest of the meal was first class. But OH Dear why do so many restaurants not invest in Brandy glasses. I had coffee and a cognac to finish off and the drink was served in a tumbler. Other than that small gripe it would not put me off highly recommending the establishment and I see myself returning in the near future.

Have visited other Italian restaurants in the area but this is definitely the best. Scallops cooked to perfection, pasta tasty and plentiful , wines good quality and not over priced and excellent, attentive (but not intrusive) service. Will be returning and would recommend.

My son invited me here for lunch. We used the deal two courses for around ten pounds. Food was delicious - I had starter of mushrooms they were lovely and crunchy. Followed it with sea bass lemon really tasty more than enough for lunch. My son picked lasagne thick mould of lovely pasta and beef - he couldn't finish it all but tried his best. His eyes lit up when he saw his sticky toffee pudding swimming in caramel sauce. Really lovely lunch service excellent.

Went with my family for a pre theatre meal. We all had a lovely time. The decor is very nice, nothing too much trouble for the staff and the food was delicious and plentiful. Reasonably priced too and well worth a visit.

We are visiting from America and our family suggested dinner here. What a wonderful surprise! This place is amazing from the service to the food. They are attentive and really go out of their way. The food was good and hot upon arrival. The place is spotless and beautifully decorated. The staff was great and made sure all was good! Wine was nice and the kids food came out first which was a class act! I would recommend this to all! We will be back!

Decided to give this place a try based on friends’ recommendations, and we were certainly not disappointed. A large portion of mussels with a tomato and chilli sauce and a delicious bruschetta for starters, followed by a lovely sea bass with veg and potatoes, and chicken Milanese for mains. With two large glasses of wine, the bill was just over thirty quid, fantastic value. A lovely place with a nice warm atmosphere, very pleasant staff, and we will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a lovely evening with La Bella for my wife's birthday. The table was perfect and the team decorated with the balloons etc we dropped off previously.

I was last in La Bella Itlalian restaurant. a year ago with my wife and did a review and now having visited again with 14 friends from our local walking club had another excellent meal of superb quality , nice friendly service and very good value on a Sunday afternoon in January . Once again I would recommend La Bella and will not take as long between visiting next time around.

Family meal. Allowed to bring birthday cake in early. Meal was lovely, very tasty. Staff very attentive and nothing was too much bother for them. Have been here a few times and service, good and atmosphere has always been good. Will return again and always recommend to anyone who asks.

Lovely food, reasonably priced, and friendly staff - Not very Italian, but I decided to have a burger and it was clearly home made, had a nice crumbly patty, good quality bacon and cheese along with onion rings and very tasty chips. Before that I had Creamy Chicken Pancetta which was also tasty. Sadly, no room for dessert.

Been here a couple times now with different people and every time been here the food has been great. The staff are very friendly, the portions are enough very filling. Parking right outside.

Had a lovely 4 course (5 if you include the coffee) Xmas dinner here yesterday. Booking was for 4pm and I thought it was sittings but the bookings appeared to be staggered which was great as there was no great rush to get us in and out for a later sitting Good food and the service was excellent - at no point did we feel rushed which has happened on previous occasions at other venues on Christmas Day. Nice gap in between courses which might not suit other customers but as we were in no rush to go elsewhere it was ideal. Will def be back to try out the main menu

Lovely restaurant. Went sunday night was pretty quiet. Got a table quickly and food arrived promptly. Minestrone soup was very tasty and calzone was well cooked and again very palatable. Young girl waitress was very attentive and wet pleasant. Would recommend. Very reasonable too

My son and I popped in for lunch, today 10/11/2018. We were given a warm welcome as the staff seemed really nice. We ordered from the set menu. I had the homemade pate which was very nice although the portion was way to tiny. My son had the rice balls which were ok. I had the lasagne as a main but unfortunately it was cold in the middle although the rest was hot. I informed the waitress as I couldn't force myself to eat it. She offered to have it reheated but I said no thank you as I was definitely put off it. She said she would check with the chef. I wondered if she didn't believe me. She came back and said that they agreed and it would be deducted from the bill. I thought that was kind. My sons main of spaghetti carbonara was great. After he finished we waited for 20 mins to see if anyone would come and take a pudding order but nobody did. We felt they were just wanting us out the restaurant and as we left we got a frosty reception from all the staff. This made me regret the tip we left.

My second visit to this fab Italian Restaurant, and on both occasions I have not been disappointed, fine wines, fine food, varied menu, extra large helpings, excellent value, great chef, wonderful friendly staff, there is also a lunchtime menu, with excellent choice, £7.95, 1 course, £9.95 for 2 courses, £11.95 3 coursesI could go on, but why don’t you give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Service is excellent- professional, friendly and always at hand. My wife graduated today (26th) and decdied rather than eat in Glasgow we thought about Cumbernauld. As we hadn't been to La Bella we decided to go there for lunch. The food was very good and the service was excelent. .It was very reasonably priced and all the food is made fresh. The sweet was handmade and was delicious with a generous helpings. Visited for the first time at the weekend to take advantage of the, excellently priced, Pre Theatre menu. The restaurant is almost hidden, sitting outside the top floor of the Shopping Centre and that's a bit of a shame as people might be oblivious to its presence.

My wife and I have been coming to La Belle for around a year and could not fault it! The price is amazing, the staff are amazing and the price is also very good for the quality of the food. The staff are also really good with our 6 year old.
