Superb choice of food from Turkish specials to croque monsieur. No space to try a delicious looking pastry or cake! The window display alone is enough to entice you in. Coffee most excellent. The staff are so friendly and especially polite though not intrusive in any way. They seem a very happy team. Lots of tables to accommodate parties of differing numbers but also plenty of cosy spots for the solo diner. Good internet too. Always a bonus.

Call in here when visiting Morningside for coffee, bacon roll lovely polite and very clean place. The window display of fancies is just beautiful and tempting, this time I called back before leaving for England and picked up some fancie cakes. Absolutely, beautiful fish tasty. Please support this place as its a little gem with hard working polite staff. I will be back soon for coffee and a roll, take homes. Thank you for making my visit enjoyable with quick good service.

Opposite The Merlin on Morningside Road. Arrived hungry and left sated after a thoroughly hearty La'Telve breakfast. Really good relaxed atmosphere, prompt service and delicious grub. The white coffee is strong and lovely. Cool music too. Absolutely recommended.

Was visiting my cousin for the weekend & after a dog walk we visited this restaurant for brunch on the Sunday. We both had the Mediterranean breakfast which was delicious. Staff were friendly & accommodating from start to finish & the atmosphere was great. A wonderful selection of food & drink to choose from & very clean. Will definitely visit again when I am next there.

Came here for breakfast with the family, with the sole motive of having the turkish breakfast. I'm a big fan of one and it's as close to the original that I could get. A tray full of food with a good helping of shakshuka - what else could one ask for .... just a pot of turkish tea at the end. An absolutely lovely meal. And yeah, the family enjoyed there standard breaksat pancakes and bagels also.

We happened upon Le Telve while walking up Morningside Road and went in for a coffee and shared a piece of Baclava - which was absolutely delicious and the coffee was superb. The staff are jolly and helpful and we liked it so much we went for the next three days. Highly recommended.

It’s a bustling cafe in the heart of Morningside which always seems busy and has a tempting display of cakes in the window . We pass it often but hadn’t gone in until recently. We were there at lunchtime and had a Mediterranean breakfast plus the aubergine and avocado on toast . My portion seemed small for the price ! It also had Baba ganoush rather than roast aubergine which I was expecting. I’m not so keen on this but that’s a matter of personal taste . Husband had a plate of mixed fruit , salad , omelette, baklava plus toast . It looked like a lot of food but wasn’t really a lot ? The coffee was good , we will head back and try some different dishes next time . Staff were very nice and they do have a loyalty card for coffee

Three of us went there for breakfast on May 26th at 11 am. I was treating my friends. We ordered 2 full Scottish breakfasts, 1 apple scone ( which so dry it wasn’t eaten), 1 croque madam, 1 tea, 1 coffee latte and 1 cappuccino. One of my friends who was having a Scottish breakfast asked to have the black pudding omitted ( does not like it) and instead have an extra rasher of bacon. No problem the waiter said. We ate our breakfast but the croque madam was so greasy it was barely touched. The toast was from a very basic cheap white loaf ( I know my bread ) The bill came to £56.70 AND they charged a £5.10 service fee ( this place is a cafe not a restaurant!!).Also we noted afterwards that the extra rasher of bacon in place of the black pudding cost an additional £2.75 ! The waiter made no mention of this when taking our orders. Very expensive place for below average food. Will never go there again BEWARE

Wow. We had excellent cakes and coffee at La Telve. The cakes included lemon cheese cake, Black Forest gateau and a rich coffee cake. Yes three cakes between two of us! We couldn’t resist the third one as the first two were absolutely delicious and made in the shop. Very good selection of coffees and first class service. A great ambiance which was very relaxing and makes you feel part of a family set up. We would highly recommend.

The food here is FABULOUS... We now come here regularly; the flavours of the savoury things are SO good, and the range of cakes is eye-opening. Some of the best baklava in town!
