Laviano’s Italian Restaurant in Bath and North East Somerset

Traffic was a block on the M5 , so we found this restaurant, and we were very impressed. Shall return when we can.

This place was highly recommended to us so we’ve had a few takeaways, every time I’ve gone to collect the restaurant has been packed, the food and the service has been 10/10. We decided last week to book a table for this evening for a family meal, the staff are absolutely lovely, it honestly feels like you are having dinner at a family members home, the restaurant is spotless, the kitchen is in full view, the service is faultless with a smile and the food is amazing. There is free parking outside if you are lucky enough to find a space but failing that there is a big, well lit car park that is free and only a short walk away. If you haven’t tried this place before, definitely give it a go, you will not be disappointed 👏

Stopped off for dinner on a work trip, the staff were great and looked after me! Fantastic choice across the menu and a wide range of drinks to choose from. Home made tiramisu topped off the meal beautifully! 10/10 will defo return!

We went to this beautiful restaurant last night 30/4/2024.There was 5 of us in our party, All 5 of us said it was the best food we have ever had eating out.The restaurant was full and you would have thought we was the only people in there as the staff were very attentive and very professional. The restaurant and toilet facilities were spotless everything was so clean,we can see why the restaurant was fully booked. The standard of the food was fantastic and absolutely delicious 🤤 This was our first visit and defo won’t be our last. Very impressed and glad we chose such a brilliant restaurant to come to,we will see you very soon.

Absolutely outstanding in every way; where to even start? Eight of us converged on Laviano’s from as far afield as the Isle of Wight, and we were not disappointed! The staff were genuinely charismatic and friendly, they were perfectly attentive without being overbearing and made us feel so welcome. The food was phenomenal, everything was delicious and had an authentic feel. The kids menu had a good balance of choice but the main menu, with its wide selection of dishes and top quality, stands out as being one of the best. Dinner at Laviano’s was an absolute pleasure and we’ll be making every effort to go again.

Been here twice, both times for lunchtime works outings. The food is definitely not cheap, but you do get very good quality, tasty food. I’ve enjoyed every single thing that I’ve eaten here and it all looks delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, The decor is clean and modern, and very appealing to the eyes. Lovely place to celebrate a special occasion.

Our food was good my husbands was tasty but small his veg of the day was new baby potatoes which consisted of one baby potatoe sliced a a few small slicesof corgette so not god value for his meal

Went as a party of 7 for a Birthday celebration. The service was excellent. Friendly, light-hearted and fast! The food was truly delicious and the wine choice perfect. We weren't rushed but we were well attended. A great place to visit and catch-up.

Really lovely lunch. The food was excellent. I had the penne matriciana followed by a huge wedge of delicious lemon cheesecake. The staff are wonderful. Booking is advisable, especially on an evening.

Lovely restaurant , lasagna was Outstanding!!! So clean and Lovely place , only give 4 stars as I didn't enjoy the Pizza, the pizza base wasn't very nice it ruined the pizza , shame they don't do just a standard tomato base . But I will be back again :)

Lavianos is a lovely restaurant with amazing food. I went with my friends for a birthday and we all enjoyed it. You definitely get what you pay for here so I do appreciate the prices

Just had another excellent meal here, yes prices have increased a bit but where hasn’t it, worth every penny, food, staff, service and cleanliness were fantastic and nice to see almost all the staff have been here for years which is always a good sign, we will continue to return so nice to receive good service thank you.

good servce great prices took my wife there on saturday 25 march for her birthday the only thing that could have better was it wasnt very warm where we were seated at back of restaurant not far from large windows i think in winter months they should have thick curtains to pull across i will still go back there nice place food very good

It was my brother's birthday and I had been invited out to Laviano's for a meal. What a lovely place, food was great and it was quite reasonably priced. The only reason the service was 4star was because nobody came up to us during our meal and asked how everything was. Service charge was also added at 10%. I disagree with this and it shouldn't be added. Allow us to tip you. Food was amazing and it is definitely worth having a meal here to try Italian food. Will see you again.

Food was lovely, but prices have gone up a lot, and for a pint of Morreti £6.95, understand the cost of living gone up and watch out for the service charge as well.

Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, just lacking Italian food. The service was impeccable and the vibe is really warm and welcoming. But the wine list has no Italian reds on it, which is weird for an Italian restaurant. The breaded mozzarella and mushrooms were clearly out of a pack and the salad dressing that went with them was the least Italian dressing you could imagine. The carbonara was made with danish ham rather than pancetta and all the tomatoes were unripe. Some more seasonal produce on the menu and perhaps the chefs should visit Italy. Saying all that, it’s a lovely spot for a bite to eat.

We have visited several times with family and friends since moving to the area and always had great meals with fantastic hospitality. Our young teen daughter decided for her birthday that she wanted a bit of independence and to have a meal with a couple of good school friends without parents tonight, and as a big Italian food fan decided this was where they’d like to go. They were all made to feel extremely welcome from the time they arrived to the time they paid the bill and left, and had a great evening and meal. The staff were very helpful and friendly toward them, which helped three 14 year old girls who were initially very apprehensive about being out in a restaurant by themselves, feel very much at ease and have a fantastic time. They said the food was excellent, as we have always found it and came back home buzzing and feeling very grown up! Thank you to the team at Laviano’s for not only a fantastic meal but also for making this such a positive experience for them all.

Food was good but the drinks menu is suspect, how can a pint of lager shandy cost 50p more than a pint of larger and when I pointed it out to the waitress I was told 'the manager likes to price it like that', I've included the menu and receipt, shame on you. PS that dash should be 50% of the pint a dash could cost someone their license.

Well the reviews aren't wrong here .... The food , the service, decor and cleanliness are all spot on. Very friendly and attentive staff that made the busy restaurant run smoothly. I love the open kitchen and the chefs are excellent. I've waited a long time to try this place for various reasons and there's no doubt I'll be back again soon !

I used to come to Laviano’s when I worked locally and always had a good meal. We stopped off on the way home Friday to see if they could squeeze us in and we’re so happy when they could. We had a lovely meal and the spaghetti bolognaise for the kids was delicious. We ordered a pizza for takeaway when we finished for my sisters partner and it was ready as soon as we finished and still hot. Excellent service and value food, can’t wait to visit again.

This is a lovely restaurant with friendly staff, a nice atmosphere and good food only rated it 4 instead of 5 stars as it is a touch pricey but apart from that excellent.

Reasonably priced lunch menu, lots of options and great service

They charge £2 extra for gluten free pasta which is disgraceful. I had sea bass which was very bland and the fattest most tasteless chips I've ever had. First visit and it will be my last.

Only reason not five is that it was quite noisy in there when we arrived at 7pn . Food was very good and great service ,the servers were very friendly . Definitely go again .
