Michael Chaus in North Lanarkshire

Got a delivery last night from here. Genuinely one of the worst. Good points the fried rice was fresh & the plain chow mein was fresh & nice too. Bad points - Breast Sliced Chicken Curry , it wasn’t breast sliced I got a chicken bone in my curry. The curry sauce wasn’t nice Salt and chilli chips were one of the most basic & worst I’ve had from a Chinese takeaway, I’ve saw Scottish cafes have better attempts. Wouldn’t recommend and most definitely wouldn’t return. A thin bone in a Breast chicken curry how is that even possible?

Fantastic local Chinese use it very often, can be hard to get through on the phone at times but that’s the sign of a good Chinese takeaway, never had a bad meal from this place and all the staff especially the two ladies in the front are always very welcoming

Absolutely rubbish The chips had lots of black ones and some were well overdone completely ruined my meal the beef in the curry is like jelly feeling in your mouth so overall garbage went in the bin total waste of money won’t return Foned up to complain but never got an answer

Best Chinese around now, can't fault any off my order will definitely be using this place from now on. Got the beef curry fried rice and salt and chilly chips. Beef was lovely and definitely not soggy like other local Chinese in the local area. Chips were great also. Definitely 5* for me.

Really enjoyed our meal from here. Was a very large order for a family gathering and we even got a freebie (salt and chilli box - amazing!) Really impressed with the food though. Service was great too. The 2 people on the desk were really friendly and chatty. Thank you.

Outstanding meals from this ‘takeaway’. The owner is passionate about cooking and I cannot recommend highly enough. The “specials” are out of this world - especially the Mongolian Beef! Easily our favourite takeout food. Worth the drive!

Discriminate Against Disabled People This business practices discrimination against people with disabilities. I have disabilities and cannot wear a mask. I was asked to stand outside in the rain whilst a person with a mask was allowed to remain inside. In addition some staff in the kitchen where not wearing masks and came from the kitchen to the counter, whilst I was there. Do not support a business which practices discrimination of any sort.

Food is delicious waiting time could be better though

Just had a delivery from Michael Chaus and honestly never been so disappointed had loads of food from here and it’s been lovely but both my husband and myself are very disappointed food tasteless and bland waste of money.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area hands down. Some comments mention the wait times and not being able to get through on phones. This is due to the high volume of orders coming in, they don’t take the phones off the line (it’s just everyone else ordering) and the 2 hour wait is worth it.

OMG the best chicken satay I’ve had the pleasure of eating!! Reasonably priced. Huge portions. Highly recommend!!

The best chinese food around.....and has been for years! Not only is the menu great, but they will make dishes you ask them to.

Food very good but front house staff let this place down! An average of 1.5 hours minimum for delivery is unacceptable, get more drivers at peak times, to late for me as woont be back, Chinese girl out front is on occasions rude!

The food is amazing, especially the gravy! But the delivery wait is absolutely shocking. The time can be between an 2 hours. The ladies who work keep the phone off the hook so it is very difficult to contact to place an order. I have mention on a Facebook review and I didn’t get w reasonable answer and do not care to fix this issue on delivery :/ poorly

I’ve never had a bad meal from Michael Chaus. Their menu is fairly extensive and fairly priced and they do home delivery. The premises is take away only.

El título de esta revisión puede parecer exagerado. No lo es. La mejor comida china que he comido fue en Chinatown, Manchester, pero solo uno de los más de 50 restaurantes escoceses chinos / comida para llevar que he probado está muy cerca de Michael's. (Y ese está justo a lo largo del camino!).Siempre ocupado, y por muy buenas razones. A un precio muy razonable. Aunque el menú no tiene demasiadas opciones vegetarianas, no tenga miedo de pedir una versión vegetal de cualquier plato.Un personal amable y eficiente frente a una cocina auténticamente frenética es la guinda del pastel.

Food is good but long wait at weekends

Been using Michaels now for the past 3 years and normally order once a week. There are 3 Chinese takeaways in this area and Michaels is marginally better than the other two. Be prepared to hit the redial button when you phone as it’s often busy (our record is 81 times) before giving up. Staff in the shop are pretty friendly however different kettle of fish when rating the delivery driver woman. We’ve maybe had deliveries 3 or 4 times in the 3 years (last night she even moaned about where our house was, she said she had a big car, it was hard for her to get out and asked if we could tell the shop the next time we order a delivery).Now, maybe I was having a bad night (just come out of a 6 night stay in hospital) but found the comment unacceptable. When I closed the door I realised how cheeky her comments were.Like I say, the food is the best between the 3(only just) but after last nights escapade I will be trying the 2nd one from now on.

Been going here for what seems like forever. Pleasant staff and a plain old chicken curry tastes fantastic.

mi pareja y yo estamos con sus hijas para el fin de semana y siempre quisimos probar Michael chaus Chinese takeout, así que pedí un takeaway esta noche por primera vez y ahora lo he probado, no sería el último de esta manera. La salsa de curry era muy buena, espesa y abundante, a mi compañero le gusta la salsa de barbacoa muy deliciosa. Bueno, defo la orden la próxima vez que visite a mi familia política.

Intenté muchas otras comidas para llevar chinas y ninguna a la altura de la de Michael. El satay de pollo es increíble y la comida siempre fresca y sabrosa. Ahora no vamos a ningún otro lugar para este estilo de comida. La comida para llevar tiende a cerrarse en el verano por algunas semanas y es muy extrañada. El personal es amigable y servicial, pero debido a su popularidad puede ser un momento para esperar su pedido, especialmente los fines de semana. Pero vale la pena la espera.

Never let down by the food in this Chinese. Salt and chilli chicken is my favourite dish. Too many tasty bits to list. Definitely recommend this place. 5* food.

Yo tenía familia y decidimos hacer para llevar en un sábado noche. A través del tono fielmente comprometido y pedir para la colección. Rápidamente me di cuenta de ninguno de nosotros podía conducir y llamado para coordinar la entrega en su lugar - no es un problema. Aconsejado sería de 40 minutos. Conductor de la entrega por encima y más allá para entregar, ya que no nos dimos cuenta de que había dado mi dirección en el teléfono. La comida llegó en 40 minutos a pesar de esta era caliente, y delicioso con un par de entradas de cortesía y galletas saladas extra de gambas en la caja. Servicio como siempre Michael

Won't even consider using any where else , still travelling past 2 others Chinese carry out shops to get to Michaels, You won't be disappointed!

heard about this takeaway and thought it was about time I tried it ,first class couldn't fault it highly recommended ,this is now my number one takeaway

We have regularly used "Michael's" for literally years now for local takeaway food, and as regular customers it's lovely that the receptionist recognises our voices and knows our typical orders, which have grown over the years along with our family and their friends! I can honestly say we have never been disappointed in any dish ordered over the years, and they have acted upon their "mission statement" of " if your favourite dish is not on the menu to ask" many times and they have always delivered. Recommend most highly!

He estado yendo durante años y sigue siendo la mejor comida china que he tenido. Tiene hasta el punto que no vamos a un restaurante chino más ya que no hay nada comparable a Michael's. Llame temprano el sábado de lo contrario tienes que esperar hasta 2,5 horas. Muy popular con los lugareños. El personal es siempre muy agradable también.
