Moghul Indian Carryout in Carrickfergus

I've never been a huge fan of the Moghul - just personal preference, any dishes I have tried from here, in my opinion you can get nicer from other restaurants locally. I do however eat from here from time to time as my husband liked their kebabs. A few weeks back was one of these occasions and I thought I'd try something different and got the chicken schwarma kebab on naan. Couldn't believe what was delivered, disgusting pieces of chicken on a rubbery and slimy naan bread, no dressing whatsoever, not even a little bit of lettuce. I tried my best with it as I was really hungry, but after a couple of bites I had to admit defeat and throw it in the bin. Actually can't believe they sent it out like that. My husband said his kebab wasn't great either. Really disappointed and a shocking waste of money for two dishes that were mostly binned.

Terrible customer service. Small mix up that could have been rectified resulted to the server on the phone being extremely rude. Food is nice however due to service I would rather give somewhere else my business.

Brilliant meal delivered promptly from the Moghul! I had the chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice - all ingredients fresh, massive amounts of chicken and just the right amount of sause. The portion size is huge, couldn't finish it in one sitting, but couldn' t leave it! My husband had chicken tikka, beautiful creamy sauce, again lots of chicken and the spices just right. Can't recommend this eatery highly enough!

Superb food - full of fresh flavoursome ingredients & superb spice mixes! Just delicious! Extensive menu & something for everyone!

For deliveries this is my favourite Indian carry out I love the chicken pakoras and chilli sauce madras curry excellent just the right amount of spices for me pretty hot

Have been getting out of this take away for years. Love their Kebabs and pizza are good. Curries are terrible like something from jar. Ordered pizza tonight and asked could I get half and half and told no problem. Asked how much it would be and told they had to put it in different way. I asked it should be about £8 and the guy said that should be about right. When I got it I was charged £13.90. If I had of realised it was and extra £5 to get it half and half I would not of ordered. Will not be back. They have lost good customer.

Curries like something from jar. Kebabs good and pizzas. But got charged extra £5.90 to get pizza half and half and was not told this. Will not be using them again Robbers

Sitting at home hungry, dispite the massive portion of food this place serves it was all inedible. Terrible presentation all just thrown together, server taking cash then assembling food with bare hands, didn't look the cleanest either. Size of the menu should have been a clue, you can't offer such a choice and get it right.

Kitchen needs cleaned, food is awful.. got a curry here and it was the worst i have ever tasted, threw it in the bin, never ate it....avoid 😷

Bought Tikka Chilli Lamb Madras, pilau rice, peshwari nan, and Butter Chicken. Two poppadums came gratis. Total £17.30 The poppadums were waxy and did not 'snap' when broken. The rice had a strange hue I hadn't seen before, pink bits of something or other added. The nan was not cooked freshly, was soggy and lukewarm. Definitely not worth £17.30. On the plus side the madras was just about right as far as 4* heat guide goes. They do a Phall at 7* Both mains could have been warmer. Best left as a fall back eatery.
