I think it's a fabulous chip shop the service is always good and the food is excellent I've tried lots on the menu and taken recommendations from staff if they don't have my choice and I've never been disappointed the staff are always polite and friendly especially Charlotte and Rebecca they are both always really good and an asset to your business 😀

Can't answer any questions about the food, went there last night about 19.30 and locked up, women cleaning answers through the window saying closed. Asked if I could have anything to eat she said a pie, fryers were off and cleaned. She said dead so we closed this was 19.30, google maps says closed at 21.00 and the sign on the door says closed at 21.30 So come on this is poor service Close 30 mins early still wrong but 1.30 to 2.00 hours early is taking the mikey. Ps through the window it looked like they finished well before I knocked the window, so I reckon closed the doors 19.00 to 19.15. VERY DISAPPOINTED AS THE SERVICE HAS BEEN GREAT IN THE PAST. ............. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE FOUND A CRACKING KEBAB SHOP NEARBY FOOD AND SERVICE AMAZING

All rubbish Even though you are the customer, it feels like they are doing you a favor, when the stop chatting to each other, only stop here when no other options..... Update I tried to reply to you but it won't let me for some reason Not 100% when I stopped there I think it was the 04/01/2024 Hope that helps

Travelled 15 miles specifically for our lunch.Chips were OK fish was a soggy disaster very disappointed won't be returning .

Been coming here for years. Best Fish and Chips in this area. Plenty of food to choose from the menu aswell. Great atmosphere everytime even when it's busy. Da iawn chi! 😀.

I can’t complain about the food it was lovely but the girl who served me was probably the most miserable and abrupt person I’ve met here in Wales so far. No idea what was wrong with her but when you are customer facing at least be polite and less abrupt with people.

I called in because I used to go there often about 20 yrs ago. It was a great chippie then. Not any more.

There was room for improvement. I found the chips dry, and did not appreciate the two pieces of battered fish being put together in the same box as they were stuck together and then fell apart as I tried to separate them.

Recently we stayed in St Clears for our holiday and the people we stayed with recommended this chip shop.......I'm so glad they did ,it was some of the nicest fish and chips that I've ever had....and very reasonably priced too.

Second year running been here and still brilliant and well worth money only come here once year on holiday but reccomend this chip shop friendly man love the place

Would of preferred fresher fish. Not sure how long it had been sat, but a bit soggy and not crispy at all. Chips could of done with a bit longer cooking. In all, it was ok.

Batter was awful i think the crows know near by fish was ok and gd value for money .

Found this place accidentally when in the way home from holiday. Fantastic food at a great price.

Just had bread roll and chips and my work mate had chicken and chips £12 between us’ chicken was dry he reakon sit was from yesterday and chip portions well be lucky if we had 3 small spuds between us. Working in the area for next 3 weeks and can definitely say won’t be going back.

We make a bed line once a year when we travel to see family. Food always delicious and hot. Friendly staff.

OK a bit pricey but nice chips.

Chips were really nice, but pies and pasties were a bit hit and miss, the cheese and onion pasty more like a faintly flavoured cheese mash in hard pastry and the mash very hard to digest in all honesty, threw half away as unable to eat. Overall we prob would go back but not have the same pie or pasty but try something else and see what that's like.

Read the good reviews, gave it a go, without doubt the worst chips I have ever had. Looked like they had been out a long time as shriveled and hard, I threw them in the bin!

Not a good place waited to enter shop then closed it in front of us 4 customers waiting she said we run out of chips I didn’t want chips and they still had a counter full of food to save disappointment I’d use George’s fish shop round the corner

I'm sure neils chippy do great chips but I had parked on the road outside at approximately 8.50am doing a job by the time the job finished it was about 9.45 am the chippy was still closed ....Neil missed a trick I would of brought some chips if he would of been open

I haven't been back to Neil's for some time, as last time it was awful, and it's still awful. Not fresh battered fish but a greasy sludge. We couldn't eat much of it, as it was disgusting.

So I tried getting some food from another take away just up the road but failed as they were not interested in my custom so tried here. Completely difference response, despite only spending about £4 I got a warm friendly welcome, choice of how much salt and vinegar I wanted and the the food was really nice. Next time I'm in the area I fully intend to return and would recommend to anyone.
