Found this place by accident passing through the village. I eat fish and chips every Friday where ever I'm working. I have to say it was the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time. I even went back to the shop ti tell them it was in the top of the league but I couldn't remember the last I had fish and chips that good so I will say 'best fish and chips ever' Well done and I will never pass your shop without stopping 👌👌

Lovely cod bites and chips. Too salty though, hence the 3 x stars. I will go back in the future and ask for no salt and then review again to see if any better.

Friendly proprietor, with a brilliant understanding of customer needs. Food is top draw! The place is welcoming, and the service is excellent.

I have bought a few things from here, cakes, burgers, all sorts. Been going there quite often over the last year, and I can say that I never get tired of this place. Such hard working staff, that are obviously very passionate about what they do. You can tell that they are confident in the service they deliver. I couldn't recommend this place more.

After eating at what seems like every other takeaway in Wales, have to say that this is the best I've ever eaten from and luckily it's almost on my doorstep, fantastic chips and always freshly cooked to perfection fish, with a wide range of other items on the menu, all better than your average cooked from frozen you find elsewhere , cant recommend this place highly enough

The fish and chips were some of the best we have ever had (my wife said they were the best). The lady that served us was lovely. I don’t normally write reviews but felt that they were so good that I had to. Thank you for having such a lovely chip shop, it was absolutely worth the 12 mile round trip to get there.

Drove over 15 mins away from the holiday park we were staying in and omg absolutely delicious meal. We had four fish and chips and everyone in our party said it was the best fish they'd had in a long time. I had the chicken bites and they were perfect! All food was piping hot, even after our 15 mins drive back. Shame I live in Brum as I would definitely be a regular here. Highly recommend if you want the best chippy experience.

Best Fish & Chips in South Wales, absolutely fantastic, I can't recommend Village Plaice highly enough.

The fish was cooked fresh to order and you could tell. The best part of this chippy was the opening times from 12 noon to 8pm, this was helpful as my kids like eating early. Food was nice shame they didn't do a fish and chip offer as you had to order a fish and then a size of chips. They had an OAP offer but I'm not old enough for that. Would eat here again

While on holiday in Pembrey we decided to have fish and chips for tea so we googled nearby places. We decided to give this place a go as it was only a short drive away and we were not disappointed at all ! We ordered 2 large cod, 2 regular chips and 2 curry sauce- it came to £22.80 which was a little on the dear side however after eating it I can only say it was absolutely delicious and worth every penny and although there was a lot to get through, we both ate the lot ! The cod was so white with a crispy batter and the chips cooked to perfection and with the curry sauce it was pure heaven ! I would recommend this place to everyone and will definitely go back there when next in the area. They do a good range of food including rissoles which are supposed to be to die for - might try them next time.

Highly recommend this fish and chip shop! On holiday in the area and popped in by chance. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic. Some of the best fish and chips we've ever had. Batter was crisp and tasty and cod and chips, mushy peas (proper ones) and onion rings were delicious. Not greasy at all. Staff were very friendly and everything was spotlessly clean. Prices were very reasonable for a super portion of cod and chips.

This is the best fish and chip shop I know. The cod is sooooooo tasty, crispy and meaty. The chips are always fresh. My children love it. It was my son's birthday yesterday and instead of wanting McDonald's or KFC he chose the Village Plaice. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The place is spotless. 10/10 we love it

I messaged them this evening but no response! I asked why they didn,t update their website when their opening hours changed as I drove all the way from Kidwelly only to find them closed! Their website said they were open until 9pm but when I went at 7pm they were clearly not open! Very disappointing! Also, not to get a response to my message! Will not be buying from here again!

Lovely clean shop chips lovely everything great but when i ask for large cod i expect a large cod the taste great the batter crisp , but the cod i define as small definately not large shame almost perfect
