I buy your sandwiches from the one stop shop in the Baltic, delicious so they are, keep it up! Honestly I would never sacrifice my life for a sandwich, but some people may call these 'sandwiches to die for'.

We just stopped in and had a lite breakfast of a egg and toast with a coffee. We had such a basic meal it's hard to rate. Service was good.

Dropped in on the way back from the RC Cathedral - very welcoming, tea and cake. Looked good for a light lunch too.

Visiting Liverpool recently I popped in here a couple of times for an early morning tea and snack. Always very nice and the staff pleasant & cheerful. Very reasonable prices too. Recommended.

We were just wandering by,looking for somewhere to eat,and a member of staff invited us inside. All the staff were chatty and friendly, and the menu was interesting. Breakfasts,Jacket Potatoes and Sandwiches mostly, beautifully presented and reasonably priced.

I got a sandwhich here as I was passing one day. The staff were really friendly and, although I got my sandwhich to go, the cafe seemed like a clean, airy place to sit. The sandwhich was ok but all the ingredients seemed a bit cheap. Better quality ingredients could make this place really good.

I had two morning appts in Rodney St a few Thursdays ago and one was put back by an hour,so I had said hour to kill and I was hungry. I just kept walking until I found somewhere I liked the look of.....and chanced upon Pumpernickles. Small but inviting and very friendly staff... I really did just go in for a sandwich to takeaway but decided to sit in and have the full English breakfast. I think it was £4.00? including a slice of toast(I'm not keen on white bread ,so after a small debate it was decided I should have a thick wholemeal crust...yummmmmy!!!) and a choice of hash brown or black pudding and either or tea /coffee..to go along with the usual..sausage,egg,bacon,tomatoes and or beans... It was a great breakfast..just the right size...not at all greasy....fried egg cooked perfectly..just slightly runny...sauces provided when asked... At first the Café was quiet...which was lovely for me..nice to have that solitude once in a while...lol But soon it was bustling with a good range of clientele..from students to workmen...who ended up sharing my table..no problem tho....a slight adjustment of chairs and floorspace and we were good to go! Staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and I was soon sorted out with a requested platter salad to take to where I was going to in a few hours..they ..I returned to Pumpernickles an hour or so later and the salad was ready to go..looked great too... I'm going to be attending these Appts for the next few weeks and am living in hope the 2nd one is again delayed by an hour just so I can go back to this cheerful little Café.. Or maybe I shall just re-schedule 2nd Appt?... Yeah..thats what I'm gonna do....
