Excellent food and service. Best meal we've had out in a while. Definitely will be back when in the area. The aubergine starter was sublime. Beef Rogan and coconut rice so very tasty.

perfect evening meal,service excellent,staff the best,but mostly the meal we had on tandoori chicken two chicken byrianis with side dishes and drinks was the best that we have had for a long time,and at a reasonable cost,can't praise the whole experience enough.

Traditional Indian restaurant. The food was amazing and the service/ staff are very attentive. Appears to be a restaurant that the 'LOCALS' know well .. its all about what you want.. loved it

A very interesting menu with dishes I had not tried before. Good sized portions and tasted slightly hotter and with greater spice than average. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cobra on draft. House white passable. Decor needs some improvement but plenty of space to eat. We enjoyed the experience Thank you

Booking is definitely recommended as the top quality food makes Saathi very popular indeed. We were passing through Hexham and called in on the off-chance. Despite being rushed off their feet we were found a table and enjoyed a really top quality feast.

Made to feel welcome , food was really good and good portion sizes. Was quite busy and had to wait nearly an hour for food and the staff seemed to have been caught short staffed . Great night though.

Nice friendly Indian restaurant

We had a big takeaway, and it was brilliant. The food was ready exactly when we asked for it to be, and everything was very tasty, especially the korma, jalfrezi and lamb rogan. Also it was still hot after the 30 min drive back. The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere from what i saw and all the serving staff were very polite. It was also quite good value for money. I definitely recommend saathis!!!

Probably the best Indian we’ve ever been to! Travelled from Essex to visit friends and popped in very last minute! Very friendly staff and absolutely top class food! Highly recommend :) Thank you Saathi :)

Good food, bhindi bhaji nicely cooked. Very good service. Decor a little jaded but I wasn't there to eat the paintwork.

We always get our take away Indian food from Saathis. Tonight we were disappointed. I don’t know if they have a new chef or recipes, however, both the chicken korma and chicken tikka masala were watery. Lacked the usual flavour. The tikka masala was also very tomato rich, it’s usually a much deeper and creamier tikka taste.

We go at least once a month. The quality of the food has always been first rate, the staff are freindly, the decor is subdued and welcoming. The chef will cook the food to your requirements: meat well-done, paneer without chilli, naan bread without oil so it's crispy: just ask.

Went for the first time tonight and it was amazing!!! We were served very quickly with poppadoms and dips and our main courses arrived shortly after. They had many vegetarian options and the portions were amazing for the price. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was just incredible. I got full before I finished mine so had it to take home (fully recyclable packaging) and I can’t wait to finish it off tomorrow!!

We go to this restaurant quite regularly. We visited last night and the restaurant was very busy. However the staff were their usual welcoming selves and the service was excellent. Even though the restaurant was really busy we did not have to wait any longer than usual to be served and the food was excellent as always. Keep up the good work

Terrible and disrespectful service! Clearly don’t like customers over 60 years old, especially if you have a Scottish accent. Food mediocre at best.

Just got a takeaway usually nice but today our takeaway was absolutely terrible the curry was disgusting the rice was rock hard the naan bread was not even cooked and as for the onion baji it would break my window if thrown. The popadoms must of been at least three days old. I phoned up to explain and was just told to remind him next time I’m in sorry but we certainly won’t be back !

Beautiful meal and made to feel very welcome! Visited solo with work. Really enjoyed tue while experience. Very attentive staff.

The best part was their service. The mango Lassi was wow. Other dishes were good too. We ordered a lot of food and everything was great. They did mess up a little but biggest mistake they did was in lamb biryani there was chicken pieces too. So be careful and strictly give instructions if you have some allergies. My reason for 3star is that lamb biryani with chicken. They made a surprise desserts as birthday surprise on short notice and that was on house too so it was really commendable.

Takeaway madras… where is the kick? It was so mild the kids ate it. How disappointing. Naan was good and pops were decent.

The food and service were excellent. The food was perfect. The cost was high.

A brilliant experience. Very friendly & helpful staff & an extensive but well described menu. I tried something new & loved it. The food was out of this world & portions were very generous. Nobody went home hungry.

Had table booked, waited ages for drinks, didn’t get starters, food not great, no offer of having dessert or coffee & offered the starter in a bag on our way out and had the cheek to say we didn’t charge you for it! Terrible!

This place has some of the best Indian food I ever had, and the service is epic too! Love you guys! I will be back :-)

Friendly and professional staff doting on your every need. A charming owner who arranged for the kitchen to prepare a special dish for us. All cooked and presented beautifully. Luxurious decor and relaxed atmosphere.

Fantastic food as always, but sadly have to say when taking the order for takeaway on 2 occasions what we ordered hasn't been quite right. We informed them after the first time and it happened again with the same item. Not ideal when you travel a 22mile round trip to discover its not right. Food never disappoints though.

This was a joke such that 1 of our party got up and left. 1st up we ordered some soft drinks which came with no gas we asked for replacement and got it replaced with the same garbage. 1st waiter was useless didnt know what fresh orange was and couldnt speak english well enough to do the job. When food came about 40 mins later the portions were so small and the chicken was tasteless . The sauce on the lamb curry had the gritty feel of curry powder in it and one of our party had a huge hair in his tikka masala which had 5 small bits of chicken in it was more like a kids meal. In short dont go here its a total rip off

I've been eating at Saathi for the last twenty years and have never ever had a bad meal there in all that time. Love the food, the staff and the atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant with authentiic extensive menu Food was a different class to anywhere else we have eaten in UK - wonderful value - starters , main courses , drinks £50!

We dine at Saathi every few months and the service and food has been excellent. My favourite dish being lamb dupiaza as the lamb has always been extremely tender however, last night’s experience was marred by my lamb being very tough. Very disappointed.

The staff were superbly attentive and friendly. We ordered dishes that we hadn't tried before but the menus have a concise and helpful description of each dish giving us the confidence to try something new. We were both extremely happy with the taste and presentation of our food. Saathi is not an average curry house, it offers a wide range of dishes in addition to the staples that we all know allowing you explore what fine a Indian restaurant can offer.

Ashamed to say that this was my first visit to Saathi (after many had recommended the restaurant)... I was not disappointed! Superb Indian cuisine, we went vegetarian for the evening and had exciting food prepared beautifully. The real plus was that all the food we had seemed to have had minimal contact with ghee (butter) resulting in a light dining experience... We shall revisit soon.

When I went here for my 9th birthday, today, the food was delicious and the staff were kind and welcoming ( my nephew)

We ordered potato vinderloo it had no flavour no spice whats so ever it tasted gross never had a curry like this in my life will not be using this restaurant again

Found Saathi more by chance than design. But what a chance that was. Excellent food and service, and to cap it all good value for money.

This place is unbelievable.The food has so much texture and brilliance.I was so happy with my food and was worth the money and love to come here again.The surroundings were very laid out and clean and the service was brilliance all staff were smiley and friendly and checkup up on your food and checked if u were waiting long.The starters were lovely and very organized.The main was the best curry I’ve ever tasted and the lamb was unreal best lamb I’ve ever tasted.Pudding was the only disappointment however I think that was my fault and bought the wrong thing.Would come here 100% again and I absolutely enjoyed it the best curry I’ve visited and one of the best in England.

The food was Excellent - BEST Onion Bhaji we have ever had - delicious & cooked to perfection ! The main courses did not disappoint our hungry foursome, but we were defeated & couldn't manage to eat everything..... it was a very nice gesture when the Waiter offered to box the remaining food up for us to take home if we wished. We declined, but I don't think that has ever happened in an Indian Restaurant before ! Delicious Food, Great friendly Service & a nice (clean) Environment (Toilets spotlessly clean) Thankyou to All Saathi Staff - We'll be back !

Have been going since I was little and love it. The staff know me if they see me and are always nice and conversational and polite. Food is great there.

I always have a luari murgh from saathi but was rather dissapointed with the last one. It was a basic curry sauce without the garlic, ginger and chillies. Such a shame, as I have always enjoyed my curries from saathi previously

Accommodated our group of 11 with no issues. Great choice on the menu (glad to see poneer), and a wide selection of naan bread. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meal. Thank you!

The tastiest and most reasonable Indian food around - so much choice as well! Really lovely staff who have been so wonderful in lockdown, and have done really well with keeping the takeaways flowing very safely.

Since moving to Hexham we've ordered from here many times, only because there are very few options for Indian food here. We moved from an area where we were spoiled for choice for Indian food, so our expectations are high. Every single time we haven't been entirely satisfied. Sometimes it's just alright and others it's inedible. I can't understand the good reviews for this place... Maybe they have nothing else to compare it to and it's what they're used to. On one occasion, I'd ordered Dahl and it was so bad (bland, tasteless, extremely runny) that I couldn't eat it and ended up making my own Dahl that night. We haven't ordered from here since Cilantro opened, the food there is amazing.

Usually excellent quality curries with a good range of dishes. My last takeaway was a bit disappointing as the chicken was overcooked and chewy but hopefully it's just a blip.

We visited Saathi for our evening meal on the last day of eat out to help out.. As you would expect the restraunt was busy but the staff were great and very friendly, the waiter even gave us some recommendations on what to order. I had a Bhuna for main and it was amazing. Really pleased we went to Saathi!If you're looking for a good Indian in Hexam this is the one for you.

What a shame! If not for the current Covid crisis, I suspect that this would have been a superb restaurant. However, there is a Covid crisis and Saathi has done almost nothing to protect its customers and staff. No social distancing (the restaurant was completely packed when we arrived and we were asked to sit in the small reception area within inches of 4 people from another group); no screens between the tables, which were only 1 metre apart; normal menus.We felt so ill-at-ease, we left without ordering any food.

This is a lovely restaurant!! The food was excellent, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Very family friendly, they were having a laugh and joke with our kids. We went early on in our weeks stay nearby and enjoyed it so much we went back for our last nights meal. Would definitely go back. Thank you.

This is a really nice Indian restaurant and the food is lovely. I would have given 5 stars if their Covid precautions were improved to follow gov guidance.

Visited whilst on holiday in the area. This was the only restaurant we visited that did not observe the government guidelines re covid. There was no track and tracing, the waiters did not wear masks or visors and the tables were very close together. The only reason I have rated it 3 stars is that the food was excellent and the waiters friendly, but I did not feel safe or comfortable in that environment.

Very welcoming. We were seated quickly and had poppadoms and chutneys to start. My partner and I chose different main dishes than usual as there were several spicy dishes we hadn't seen before. We had chicken ranson and mixed ceylon, shared a mushroom pilau and a naan and there was more than enough delicious food. Would definitely recommend.

First time back since lockdown food is still lovely. Not so sure about there social distancing,restaurant was busy. Did not feel comfortably safe
