Chef kalam uses rotten onions in the gravy Also use a months old burnt oil for frying and cooking im the eye withness i worked there for more then 6 months use date expired butter and yogurt also they dont have no pest control seen 2 big rat in the gents toilet i got picture of it Please be careful who ever goes to eat there no hygine at all , i wana advice caryy the health visitor can yu please re visit the place also none of the staff are passed their level 2 specifly the chef they bribe the company people who done it for them if yu need further info just contact me i will further provide info to shropshire council.Also chef kalam he Asulted me with knife in the resturant westmidiland police dealing with the case atm he is the reason resturant causes fire in the resturant he left the faulty fryer on with the old used oil in there the fireservice reported it cause from the fryer i have the report of the copy.

I am sorry to say but I never came across any restaurant serving butter chicken without chicken in it. It was like Gram flour mixed directly into water. Chapati was undercooked. Not only the food, even the service is worst. No facility of card payments. When tried paying by cash, I was asked to get the change from some other shop.

Excellent. Just had a wonderful family meal at Tarkawalla. Hot, beautifully cooked and well presented. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. We will be going again soon. They also do a good delivery service.

We (5 of us) have just had the most delicious meal at Tarkawalla. The food was perfectly cooked...our thanks to the chefs. We had a large variety of dishes and every one was beautifully presented and hot. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We will be going again and ordering deliveries too. food is wonderful. We tried 3 course meal and ordered 2 different curry with 2 different gravy. and I really like the concept of mix and match. It's marvelous experience with proper spice

Took the suggestion of another reviewer and had the Railway Lamb, absolutely delicious! My wife and mother in law had Vegetable Korma as their main and were equally as happy! Collected directly from restaurant, the staff were incredibly friendly. Will now be our curry house of choice when up visiting our family in the area. Many thanks Tarkawalla!

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant for the first time and I was not disappointed at all. The chicken jalfrezi is the best that I’ve tasted for years, chicken tikka balti also excellent. It was all delivered very quickly by a really polite young man. I will definitely be using this restaurant again.

Excellent restaurant - extremely clean and pleasing decor made the restaurant look very appealing from the start. Very welcoming and first class service meant that each course was delivered extremely quickly and there was no waiting for food at all throughout the meal. We thought the menu was one of the easiest to work through with very clear descriptions - we thought the little bits of history connected with one or two of the dishes was a nice touch. All the food we had was extremely delicious, everything that we wanted was available and the portions were of a good size. All in all, an excellent visit and we will definitely be returning.

Just had an excellent meal from Tarkawalla. Both the chicken and vegetable biryani were delicious. Not too spicy but with that lovely kick to them. Ideal too if you are new to Indian food. Lots of vegetables and chicken. Thank you for our lovely meal.

Fantastic food, onion bhajis were really fresh and crunchy. The Chicken Jalfrezi was rich and spicy with a hint of sweetness from the onions. The naans were light and clearly made from fresh dough. The service was outstanding, super friendly and polite. The best Indian in Oakengates, hands down. Would highly recommend.

Waited over an1 hour and 40 minutes for order Missing x3 poppadoms ordered 4 Missing plain rice In my butterchicken it had 6 chunks of chicken In my partners chicken bhuna it had 4 small chunks of chicken! Not even an apology for it arriving late, delivery guy just knocked door, dropped it at door and ran off!! Was bad when it was cinnamon spice with delivery times, but this place takes the piss even more! Won’t be ordering from here again and will be sharing bad experience to social media! I’d rate it nothing if I could!

Impressively smart and relaxing interior . The staff were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and polite. The food looked as good as it tasted. Absolutely delicious! It was good to know there was a bar there too. Will definitely go again, and are happy to recommend Tarkawalla to anyone.

Been a few times and called to make a group booking. Rudest answer received, someone answered and said can’t talk we are too busy if you are expecting a delivery it is on its way. Then they hung up! Food is really good though.

Hidden gem in Telford. Chicken tikka shashlik bhuna is highly recommended. Sensible prices and service is 10/10.

Fist time ordered from this place and it’s the best one so far. Ordered keema and cheese Nan and it was fully stuffed. Lot of takeaways just fill the middle and be done with it. The biryani also has the option to come with daal, we hardly have the plain curry sauce as it’s quite bland. So this was a welcoming change.

Great new Bengali restaurant. The food was really delicious . Best we’ve had in a while with a number of new-to-us dishes and excellent service. Great value too. Free parking to rear of restaurant. All in all most deserving of 5 stars.

Food was lovely, one of the nicest curry’s we’ve had in a long time, very reasonable for price as well, but disappointed as found a dark black hair cooked into my cheese naan bread. Other than that, great food

Not been here for a few years when it was different name and management, but thought we would give it a try. Wow, what a pleasant experience. Service was excellent. Food was very tasty. Decor better than all other local Indians. Price very reasonable. And it’s now licensed. Overall, this is by far the best around now, it has improved so much. Will definitely return.

Good cold when arrived and was 40mins over the time just eat stated the food had been delivered

Had a wonderful meal here on a Friday evening, was greeted with very pleasant staff although quite empty as restaurant has not long been opened. The food was superb we had a Chicken Dhansak and a Chicken Pathia shared a fried rice and a Tandoori roti. Could not fault the food or the service will definitely be returning. Word of warning if you order a take away to get the discount you have to go through the website, I rang up the following day and had to pay full price which I thought was unusual, but it's worth it when you try the food.

Visiting the area for a couple of days and picked this restaurant. So glad we did. The service was first class, restaurant very clean and presentable, and the food was excellent. We are returning to Telford in a few months time when we will definitely be back again. Absolutely one of the best Inadian restaurants we've been in.

My wife and I have had very mixed experiences eating out/ takeaways in Telford over 15 years. We were coming home and decided to have a takeaway. We remembered that this lovely place had just opened and drove down the street, parking virtually outside the premises. Sunday 5.30 pm and the doors opened exactly on time. Very well decorated inside and a lovely warm welcome from the chef’s son. My wife ordered sheek kebabs and chicken balti and I had prawn puri and chicken dhansak, with onion fried rice and 2 plain nans.. Can’t fault any of it – some of the best food we have had in recent months, anywhere. At last – we have found somewhere we will be returning to. See you soon! Recommended – please try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Tried this new restaurant out for the first time last night. Four of us ate and all had somethingk9 different. We all tried a bit of each other's curries and we all agreed that they all tasted completely different and all tasted great, with plenty of flavour. The menu isn't as extensive as some other restaurants, but I see that as a good thing as they can concentrate on making those dishes good instead of making a greater amount of dishes average. I can't believe they've only got one previous review as they deserve many more. Without a doubt, it's one of the best curries I've had.

I had a brilliant time here, it felt like I was at home. The dishes were top tier and the service was great. I would highly recommend for anyone that enjoys fine dining and desi cuisine.

Excellent service tonight food was amazing will definitely be using again. Hospitality was exceptional. Really welcoming the waiter was so polite and made sure that my daughters birthday cake was on time before our show at the theatre. Will recommend all friends and family you will not be disappointed food is the best in town and I have lived in Telford all my life this is one of the best by far a real hidden gem. Amazing customer service was very accommodating and polite towards us and were just an amazing atmosphere to be around the food was outstanding and the most amazing portion was a bit too big but we ate it would have left a tip but had no change but cant wait to go back and it was definitely value for money it was amazing honestly the best indian ive had photo does it no justice but thats because i eat weird but it was divine

My wife ordered a Chicken Kurma and boiled rice which she enjoyed. I ordered a Chicken Madrasand fried rice. We both had Onion Bhajis and Poppadoms. This is the first time we have used this restaurant and it was open on a Monday ! My only adverse comment was that the Chilli Powder was too hot even for a Madras. I phoned the restaurant to point out the problem. They were very courteous and promised to advise the chef accordingly. The flavours overall were very good and we shall use the restaurant again.

Very disgusting experience as I ordered for vegetarian dish and they delivered chicken and I mistakenly ate the same. It was a horrible experience as its against my religious beliefs.

Honestly one of the most original tasting curry houses I've experienced in a very long time. Curry's were cooked an spiced to perfection. If I had the choice of just one dish to hit the spot It would have to be the signature 'Railway Lamb'. At least I know what to order for next time. Extremely friendly staff, perfect hosts felt very welcomed. Reasonably priced, worth every bite.

The best indian / bengali food in the area. Real old school curry coupled with first class service. We have had regular weekly home deliveries and the quality of food and delivery has been spot on... Do your self a favour and try it!

This restaurant has quality food. I had a variety of their curries and starters and everything was very tasty and fresh. Their butter chicken curry was very authentic. also their mocktails/cocktails were very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The deco was also lovely will deffo be coming back sooon!!!

My son and I have just had the best tasting meal since moving to the area five years ago. The chicken tika starter in a wonder with many different depths of flavour and is the best I have had since moving from Kent. The Korma i had was again very flavoursome and creamy with large pieces of chicken. The garlic naan was also very good. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I will deffinatly be comming back and will recomend this restraunt to anyone reading this review you will not be disapointed.
