Excellent food and good service. I would highly recommend it.

We visited for an evening meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and seated us quickly on a Saturday night. The staff checked my choices with me as I have some food intolerances making sure eveything was ok. The food was served fairly quickly, it was good portion sizes and was really nice. The only down side, they didn't do gluten free naan breads. Not the end of the world, but other restaurants are offering this now and this would have made it a 5 star review.

First time at this restaurant as a couple. Had a fabulous meal, with excellent friendly service. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

We had simple pops and chutneys to start which were fine. We all chose different mains and as the menu was so different from the normal Indian menus, we all chose something different from our usual choices. We were all delighted. Felt like we were in someone’s home eating home cooked meals. And the quantities were amazing. Wine prices acceptable as well. The staff are delightful too! Thank you.

As a family we went to the Evening Spice again last week…. Wow absolutely lovely! Food arrived all nice and hot, mains were all really individual dishes as ordered. Great portion sizes. Staff always on hand for any questions or recommendations. Service is always great here. We find ourselves returning here time and time again as we struggle to find anywhere else that compares to the quality and real traditional Indian food. You won’t be disappointed.

After many years of staying away , my family decided to "retry" The Evening Spice as part of a Birthday Celebration . We were so pleased to be made so Welcome, so pleased to see such a varied and very interesting menu and then to be served with such superb meals for Starters ,Mains and "add-ons" . It really was a very enjoyable evening and we have no qualms about a recommendation for anyone who really enjoys a really top class Indian Meal

Fantastic food, this is now our number one favourite place to go. Waiter Jay provided great service. Cannot fault anything, tarka dhal was exceptionally good and my dish Royal Raj was incredible.

Wonderful. Not keen on Indian food due to the spices but love ordering from here. They cater for my boyfriend who loves really spicy food and for me. There is something which everyone will love. Their different Nan breads are smashing(I am drooling thinking about them). They use good quality meat love their Lamb Tikka dishes with extra lamb add extras like panir(fried cheese). Their starters are amazing. The problem is I order too much. Get filled up on starters so have to then have the main the next day reheated still fabulous. They are the only takeaway that delivers to us as we our out of range usually so Fantastic service and always ontime. Definitely 5 star.

I was in the area for work and was recommended to Evening Spice. I was so impressed, polite and helpful staff, wonderful food that reminded me of when I was a kid and was fed wonderful food by an auntie. The quality of the food at Evening Spice took me right back to my childhood. A lot of people in the restaurant said they were used to ordering out and it was their first time eating in, they really enjoyed the food too. LOVE THIS RESTAURANT

We were staying in a local hotel and Evening Spice was recommended as a great place for a meal. The meal was excellent and the staff very friendly. The whole restaurant had a nice ambiance. Don’t be put off by the outside appearance; once inside you’ll find a gem!

Excellent meal here. Ordered a chefs special was absolutely brilliant. All praises to the new member of staff 'Josh' who was attentive friendly and funny, made us feel at home he's one to keep. 5 stars all round.

Just left sat 16th feb 2022 . Booked table for 6:30pm , popadoms came all good , starter :spiced oatcake , no spice at all , Shiah kebab cold and not nice . Main meals after waiting nearly hour and asking would it be long they brought it out , all three dishes were cold , sliced chicken and half was cold other half warm , other two were the same not hot at all , we asked for a spicy 🌶 curry it was like a korma ,Nan bread was a plain Nan with a few garlic 🧄 cloves chucked on , Drinks we’re Cola and was flat from a bottle.staff extremely ignorant and didn’t even ask how it was . Overall probably the worst curry we’ve ever had , definitely won’t be returning . Absolutely disgusting and very disappointing.

Terrible food . Asked for no oil. Food was swimming in oil. Rice greasy and chana bahji was just chick peas and Oli. Nothing what we expected. Food really gone downhill. We will stick with Raj which is always excellent and never disappoints. All food from evening spice went in bin and we reordered from Raj. A very expensive meal

We ate at Evening Spice on both nights we stayed in Madeley. The staff are very friendly and gave us a warm welcome, the food is excellent and very good value for money. We look forward to going again next time we are in the area.

We visited on a weekday when the £14 offer was on, which we found to be excellent value, having poppadums, a starter, side and main for the above price. The Bhaji starter was cripsy and not at all oily, the Balti I had spot on when I asked for it to be Madras hot. The service was unobtrusive but very welcoming and everyone in our party commented on the food being rather good. We'll definitely be back again to enjoy the food and take advantage of the excellent value of their weeknight offer.

Another fabulous takeaway from Evening Spice this evening. You’ll find it difficult to find a better Indian meal around, curries are absolutely spot on! Jay & Kabil are so lovely and provide excellent service. Great restaurant for large groups, families & couples, you won’t be disappointed.

Recently moved to Keele area - this is our first takeaway delivery, thought we would give it a chance - glad we did - ordered approx 6pm and delivered just after 7pm ( there is still thick snow on ground so expected a delay ) food was fresh and tasty....will be happy to order from them again 👍

Very disappointing and actually really spoilt our evening. Booked well in advance. Was told food would arrive at 7pm. Impossible to get through on the phone when it didn't- obviously off the hook. Arrived at 9.30pm and was told I hadn't paid. Fortunately I had a digital receipt.

Ordered a take away for a family new years eve meal. All done in advance for a specified delivery time as we were having Chinese and Indian food. The Chinese came bang on time and as everyone was tucking into that I followed up on the curry as it was 15 minutes past due. Was promised it would be done and out in 10 minutes. Left it another hour before trying to follow up but the line was engaged. Ended up walking round to Evening Spice but evidently it wasn't even started at that point (2 hours after ordering). Ended up cancelling and asking for a refund. Disappointing start to the New Year's festivities. I get it's a busy night of the year but if service is suffering, just be honest about it. Put me off ordering again in the future.

We had a lovely meal and felt safe in the current Covid climate. Staff wore masks and the tables were well spaced out.

Restaurant hasn't been open to eat in due to lockdown, but delivers takeaway, nice food, restaurant standard, very good quality.

Eight of us (including two children) enjoyed superb and attentive service, and fabulous food. Very nice atmosphere, NOT spoiled by too much music making conversation difficult!

Very friendly staff, amazing food.

We had a takeaway, two starters, onion bhaji and chicken pakora both of which were very poor (bhaji’s were soft) Chicken tikka masala and vegetable byriani. I asked for a madras strength sauce and it just tasted massively over peppered and the vegetables were tasteless and over cooked. My son said his meal was below average. With two outlets for a curry in the village you might think they would up their game, very disappointing.

Possibly the worst Indian takeaway I've been to. Was told it would be 35-40 minutes but when we got there had to wait another hour for the food. And 2 out of 3 dishes were wrong. Right dish but wrong meat. Appalling service. Avoid at all costs!

Excellent Chicken Tikka meal and sides, service attentive but not too intrusive, a shame not more diners in, perhaps because it was a Thursday. Spotless white linen table setting. Fairly priced Will definitely go again.

We love this place its our local restaurant and we go alot and tge food is always good and the staff are so friendly and cant do enough for you. Will be back again on tuesday night.

First off,no carpark at this restaurant, you have a one stop shop,and a butcher's, opposite,with a few undesirables lurking. The place was quite pleasant , I had a lamb tikka starter which was very nice.We chose a house special, Goast e kazana it was very bland,the meat,lamb and chicken was very nice ,came with ,pilau rice.Peshwari nan was spot on. Draught cobra was really nice too,and a nice touch was a drink on the house at the end of the meal.Would recommend.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. The menu was amazing and the food was outstanding. The waiter realised it was a birthday party and they brought out a cake. Was the most amazing gesture. I will certainly be back.

This was our first visit but it certainly won't be our last! The food was delicious with excellent presentation. We had the Special Thali starter - a selection of homemade specialities - which I would recommend trying. Mains were the Special Birany and Raj Special ( a very unusual dish- medium hot) - again fabulous. Service too, couldn't be faulted. We will certainly be going back and taking friends next time.

We often visit this restaurant as my grandmother lives near by, they never fail to provide top class food and truly special service! The menu offers varied choices alongside extremely reasonable prices. Occasionally you’ll be treated to a complimentary baileys or cognac, which is always a welcomed surprise! I would definitely recommend this place and will be sure to return very soon.

We have eaten here many times with family and friends, always top quality food and friendly service. My favourite is the Chicken Pili Pili which comes on a sizzler dish. They also do a takeaway service which is just as good.Maybe the exterior doesn't do it justice but my advice would be to give it a try as all the friends we know who try it go back again and again.

This is my favourite curry restaurant (and I have sampled a lot of others!), for both the great tasting food and the outstanding, friendly service. The menu features both the usual curries and a fantastic range of special dishes including many that I have not seen elsewhere. Lovely atmosphere and brilliant with young kids too (we have taken our son here several times since he was about 3 years old). My parents live in the village and are regulars here so the staff know them by name. We make a point of visiting the restaurant nearly every time we go to visit my parents (a few times a year) and have never been disappointed; I wish we lived nearer (though that would be very bad for my waistline!). Simply superb.

we were to the restaurant on Sunday evening and they was so welcoming we order some food and a bottleof wine rioja and to be honest everything is was fantastic from the beginning to the end 10 out of 10 .

I initially booked a table for 6 and I happened to mention it was for my sons birthday. However, more family members and our baby niece then wanted to join us and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating with very short notice. We were now 11 adults and a baby. When we arrived we found a great baby seat in place and the staff had even decorated the walls with birthday banners and balloons and put decorations on the table. The food was all fabulous, not even a minor problem, it was all served together, which is no mean feat for 11 people. The staff even got a cake with a champagne bottle candle and brought it in singing happy birthday. I can’t thank them enough for making this a fantastic v memorable night for us. Such lovely, thoughtful, people.

We use this curry house at least once a month for both eat in and takeaway .... food is always so fresh and tasty, I just can’t find any fault with his place, always amazing taste. Reasonable prices restaurant too and the staff are always very friendly & happy to advise on the dishes.

Was recommended evening spice by a friend and was not dissapointed! Tikka massala and tikka balti were the best we've ever had!! Whilst speaking to manager was told they have had same chef for 20 years, and it truly shows!! They are a really friendly and polite team! I had a take out, so can only imagine eating in, to be amazing! Will defo be back!

We are regular customers mainly for takeaways but we visited the restaurant a few times and we’ve not been once disappointed. On this occasion the restaurant raised up again to high standards as usual. The food was excellent, staff very friendly and professional. We’ll be back soon

Excellent meal here on Friday evening

We are regular visitors to the Evening Spice so it was the obvious destination for our joint 70th birthday party earlier this year. We were a party of 40 covering 4 generations from all around England + a few from Spain. All the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great day, including decorating the restaurant with banners etc. All our visitors said later how much they had enjoyed it, so thanks to Anwar, Jay and the rest of the team for making it such a memorable day.

Exquisite food, never disappointed 😥

Not as good as it used to be..... Overpriced and under flavoured...food only just average .. So this was a takeaway away and l live not 2mins away and starter was flat cold.

Lovely food and excellent service. Ordered a take away and waited in reception/bar. Our 3year old son started to get a little bored but the staff were very accomodating and even entertained our son with a little game of hide and peek. Will deffinately be back again, hopefully for a sit down meal next time.

We ate early in the evening and consequently there were few other diners. The meal was well prepared with lots of choices. My husband has coeliac disease and his diet was easily provided.

We had a take away from here on Sunday evening, we've been regular's since the current owner took over a while back, both to eat in and take away, my gut feeling is that the ownership might have changed, because their food isn't quite the same. Our food was for 5 people, so, there was some variety, all our main courses were very oily, that's never been the case before, we had to drain it off!, and the Tandoori chicken off the bone was unedible we just left it , am not comfortable writing this review, because the food at this restaurant has always been very good, maybe it was just a one off, but I'm not sure!,

Está a 25 minutos de mi casa, pero vale la pena el viaje. La comida es increíble y una gran relación calidad-precio!

Visitamos Noche Spice para Nochebuena y Nochevieja como una gran fiesta. Había un ambiente en el restaurante. El personal es muy amable y servicial. El director es genial para explicarme qué es sin gluten. Y la comida es deliciosa! Noche de especias es muy acogedor para los niños y ofrecen sillas alta si es necesario.

I love this place and the only reason I have only given it a four on this occassion was we were booked in 9pm sitting New year's eve food and staff were great as always but the one thing which spoilt the evening was young children shouting running around which I blame the parents I cannot believe the mother let her kids run around the place as if it was a bloody playground why were these children not in bed not only did they leave a right mess on the floor which someone else could have easily slipped on but these children were very noisy and could have had a nasty accident if one of the waiters had tipped curry on them. It really spoilt our evening as we had gone there for a lovely meal and drink taking the later booking only to be sitting in what seemed to be a playground

Our 2nd time here for Xmas dinner, superb meal and service, really great dining experience. Everything is all inclusive, so you can relax and enjoy yourself. The manager is great and gives you personal attention. Would recommend this to anyone for a great Xmas dinner. The food is Indian, but only moderately spiced, so you can enjoy the flavors,. The Stuffed Samosas are to die for, I could have ate a plateful of them. 5 star food and service.

6 of us on a Friday evening. We all had different meals from the new menu and we all thought the food was superb. This is not a fast food restaurant - this is food worth waiting for.

M and I were visiting family in the village for the weekend and had booked a table for 5 of us on the Saturday night. The staff were very welcoming and we were offered drinks in the bar area before being shown to our table. We were given some poppadoms and pickles but then it took an awful long time for someone to come and take our order. It was a busy evening but even so we had a long wait. Once we had ordered it didn't take all that long for the food to arrive. The portions were generous and the meals nice enough but not outstanding. It was D's birthday and H had brought a cake to the restaurant earlier - the team had gone the extra mile and decorated the table too which was a nice touch. In summary we had a nice evening and I would be happy to eat there again if the family want to.

A very disappointing experience. We booked a table for five people to eat at 7pm on a Saturday for a quiet family get together. We weren’t told, however, that they had a large party running that evening. Our experience was that the restaurant was noisy and our service was poor; we had to ask twice for our starters to be served, ask twice for our main cause, and three times for the bill so we could leave. We just gave up on the idea of asking for deserts and coffee, and walked out around 9.30. The whole problem was compounded by the manger (or so I believe them to be) insisting that we had been properly catered for – even when he had five people telling him that they were far from happy. A real shame, food was ok. We would have felt very different if they had either warned us about the party when we booked, or not taken our booking, or simply acknowledged there was an issue.

While staying at the old hall house - see my review - we twined this for our evening meal as it's 2 minuets walk. This is about a perfect a service pairing I have ever experienced.The owner welcomed us, took time to talk to us about our visit and made us feel like the only people in his restaurant.Not over bearing - I don't like forward, false service - it was perfect. He took time to talk about the area, the food and drinks he couldn't do enough for us.That's before we had any of the freshly prepared food that tasted superb and was plentiful.I would absolutely recommend a visit whilst you are there!!
