Not only was the chocolate absolutely amazing in every form we tried, the atmosphere here was so peaceful. Only real way to describe it is perfect.

Just Devine! My daughter had hot chocolate (made with their own melted milk chocolate) and hazelnut cream waffles with melted chocolate…WOW! I had a flat white which had the option to have melted chocolate in it, of course I said yes to that…it was delicious and the chocolate didn’t overpower the lovely toasty/nutty coffee beans. They make their own truffles which are also delicious. Highly recommend this cosy little place.

OH MY GOD!!!! Just saw this place on TikTok and ran straight here! MY NEW SPOT. Never had anything like it in my life!!!! The hot chocolate with the melted white chocolate served in the green cup is A MUST!!!!!!!!!!

Only discovered this place recently. Staff are excellent always served with a smile. And the desserts are beautiful. Unbelievably good Chocolate and the waffles are fresh and crispy just the way I like them. Nothing else like it in Newry.

To die for if you're a chocoholic. Quiet , peaceful atmosphere with lovely, attentive staff. Walked in, browsed the menu and they were with us straight away. Everything was perfect. Waffles are so light and delicious and perfectly balanced the heaviness of the chocolate and ice cream. Would happily make the 1hr drive back again soon!

Very relaxing and top quality chocolate.

The taste of Belgium truly is a taste of Belgium, with its very own chocolateer and with its own chocolate factory above the cafe itself. Great chocolate and great range of products to try. This place has a small child's corner for the kids for the parents to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The place has a comforting and warm feel, just like it chocolate. I would recommend anyone to try this hidden gem within' Newry.

This place is the real deal. Unbelievable quality. We couldn’t believe when we heard they were open late during week! Mocha and cappuccino were a 10 out of 10! We’re not in Newry often, but we’ll be back every time we are!

Lovely ambience and cant fault the coffee or hot chocolate. Waffles are yum and filling. One portion fed 2 kids with 2 scoops of ice cream and 2 scoops of whipped cream. Tummys are full and happy ❤️

Best kept secret in Newry, hot chocolate by far best in town, same quality as high end Paris KB. Cafe which is best in Paris. Cappichino similarly excellent. All this before considering the chocolate which they stock, beautiful designs, bunny's, puppy's etc, look to good to eat. But we ate them anyway, tasty with capital T. Service and ambience excellent, very restful, child friendly. Two minute walk from buttercrane. Well worth this short dander

We popped in spontaneously after shopping at the Buttercrane. Delicious cappuccinos and generous portions of the homemade hazelnut cream waffles with ice cream. They also do a wide range of milkshakes, chocolates, truffles, drinks & gifts. The atmosphere is chic and cozy with plenty of comfortable couches, chairs and quiet nooks to catch up with friends or study alone. The service is friendly and attentive too. A must stop when in Newry!

I love this! Little hidden gem, definitely a spot for locals to relax and a perfect one for tourists who are looking for something a little different. Went here with my boyfriend and we got the Chocolate Fondue, it was amazing and within a few bites we said we would be back! Hot chocolate was also bomb and the selection of chocolates are so cute and creative! Amazing vibes xoxo

Taste of Belgium is a must visit when travelling to Newry in my opinion, a hidden gem in a sense. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, while the food itself is nothing short of spectacular! While it is a bit expensive, I think it is worth the additional price for this level of quality. Will visit again, recommend you to do so too!

Can’t recommend Taste of Belgium highly enough. The coffee is easily the best I've had anywhere in Newry and they offer almond, oat and coconut milk if you are dairy-free. The gifts they do at Christmas/Easter etc are so special and amazing quality. The café is cozy, welcoming, and very kid-friendly and the service was fantastic. Will be back!

We go in here weekly and look forward to it all week! Freshly made waffles are delicious and coffees with added melted Belgian chocolate is tasty! They have a great small area for kids to play with books and blocks etc provided!

We absolutely love Taste of Belgium! We've been going every week since they opened. All the chocolates are handmade with natural ingredients and change often, so there's different flavour combinations to try. The hot chocolates and coffees are delicious. They even have a small area with a little table, books and a few toys for young children, our daughter loves it! The owners are very friendly and chatty and the atmosphere is chilled and comfortable.

This place is AMAZING!! My husband and I stopped because we were looking for a place to get some coffee on our way up to Tollymore Forest Park. Their coffee was excellent, but oh boy their waffles are even more delectable! Everything tastes so fresh, the shop is really clean and cute, and the servers are very friendly. Highly recommend!

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. You will pass this place 5 times a week and never think of going in, I recommend you venture in. A small bit expensive with the current climate but for the quality you recieve and the attentivness of the staff are beyond description. All ingredients are locally sourced, supporting this business will be giving back to the "little man" Go try it, you wont regret it.
