The chubby cherubs everywhere are so cute to look at! The menu is just divine!

We had a wonderful time at the Chubby Cherub. There was a nice welcoming atmosohere. The staff were friendly and attentive. The authentic Italian food was delicious. We will definitely return and would recommend the Chubby Cherub to everyone.

We were in a large group. Everyone said that their food was excellent. I can vouch for the prawn bruschetta starter and the meatballs main. Others recommend the caprese starter. All very tasty and well presented. House wine was good, and still and sparkling water available by the carafe. Service was friendly and efficient.

The usual excellent service, from well trained staff (so many restaurants have forgotten just how important staff training is) They knew the dishes and when to leave you alone. Great value for money Looking forward to our next visit

Our table was booked for 6pm as we had a concert to go to. We ordered straight away about 6.15 we were told we had the table for an hour and a bit to find we got our dinner at 5mins to 7. We ordered another two cocktails. Food was NICE there was a girl who couldn’t wait to get us out and the guy behind the bar when I went to pay told me to “hold on” I couldn’t believe that our bill was £102.83 and to find that services charges totalled to almost £25 I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend it because of the charges they where dearer than any of our meals.

Husband booked a table here for 11th April. Our first time and certainly won't be our last. Wasnt overly busy at that time which was nice around 6pm. Staff were lovely and attentive food very fresh and super tasty. Lady waitress (didn't catch her name) was very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Went here for dinner with a friend on a Wednesday evening with no reservation, they were able to seat us immediately. The service was very good, they were incredibly friendly and helpful when it came time to order. We got the Mac and cheese pizza but took off the mushrooms and added jalapeños. I also got a mocktail that was lovely. Would absolutely come back again. When I was paying they asked about reservations because they take a deposit so that’s good to have in mind if you plan to reserve a table in the future.

If you are a tourist in Belfast at 21.00 hs and you all kitchens closed this place will be the only place open. The place is lovely the decoration is adorable, the food is amazing. 10/10. A special mention to the waitresses that took our order Mia and Maria. Mia was super sweet and kind, and Maria was amazing two. Lovely staff ❤️

the food was pretty over priced, not to mention a £9 service charge for 2 people, the restaurant itself is extremely pretty and the staff were lovely but towards the end we were mildly forgotten about which wouldn't have been a problem if we weren't spending £100 on our meal

Perfect place to go if you want to have a week of food poisoning and violent vomiting. Management didn't even have the decency to acknowledge the complaint or investigate, disgusting dismissive attitude. Avoid at all costs.

Visiting the city and randomly Googled eating places near City Hall and this Italian Restaurant came up. First off was the beautiful outside and welcoming interior. The young serving staff were very friendly and helpful. Our order was taken and service was fast. The food itself was awesome and portions were generous. Couldn’t find anything to say that was negative. Wish I could go again so people of Belfast, enjoy what you have.

Food is grand , nothing special but extremely expensive. Cocktails are too sugary , when brought over spilled everywhere . Staff are lovely - however far too expensive and adding vat onto a £12.50 cocktail is insane ! The cat should already be absorbed in the extortionate price . Won’t be going back.

Lovely place! The food is delicious, the staff very kind and a very interesting environment. I ate vegan food and it was delicious. There was even vegan dessert what made me very happy. My kid loved the pizza. A great experience really.

Quite possibly the best Chocolate cake and Bailey's Coffee I've ever had. Lovely staff also,with some rather pleasant background music.

Excellent place. One of the places we found where the kitchen is open a bit later. Was able to get a small table with a reso. Service was quick and kind. Goat cheese starter was a large serving,and would definitely reccomend the Florence pizza - it was a bit too much for me together. More of a quieter atmosphere. Will be back again for sure

This is the most beautiful place i have ever stepped foot into. the ambiance is unlike any other. 100% will come again and recommend to EVERYONE. annmarie and lera were FANTASTIC to us. great service and amazing cake and drinks.

Went for lunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had the worst meal I have had in a long time. I ordered a main (vegan spaghetti ) and a glass of red wine. The wine was average but the main was truly terrible and is up there in my top 2 worst restaurant meals ever. My meal comprised of a few stringy vegetables floating in a watery, thin, red coloured liquid. I tried to equate the dish I was served with the menu description… and gave up. I did complain and was given a brief apology alongside a free desert that I didn’t really want. I spent the rest of the day hungry. I will never be back. Very sad. I loved the establishment they had in Upper Arthur Street and had enjoyed many fabulous meals there but quality has completely nose dived with management choosing style (restaurant is visually pleasing) over substance.

Good venue for an instagram photo and nice atmosphere, but the food and service don’t match. If we had actually been asked how our food was before we finished I would have said it was average at best.The manicotti was very pre made and of cheap flavourless vegetable sauce, and poor quality tomatoes and almost stale bread in the bruschetta. Wine was nice. Tiramisu was mainly cream. Over rated and not worth ££.

My wife and I took my mum out for Mother's Day, and we had a spectacular time. This was our first time eating at Chubby Cherub, and we were thouroughly impressed by the decor, ambience, staff helpfulness, but most of all the quality of the Italian food! I can't believe we've missed out on coming here before! This will be our go-to place for family events.

If Google done half stars, I would give this a 4.5, because it was nearly perfect. Me and the wife decided to try this place out for a meal so booked it online a week before (£10 deposit per person required beforehand, which is good, it means you are less likely to cancel). When we arrived, we were seated straight away and we were blown away by the decor. The place is stunning inside. Service was really good and we were never waiting long to be seen to. I had the tear and share bread to start, and she had garlic pizza bread. For mains I had a pepperoni pizza and she had carbonara. All four of these plates of food were delicious, no complaints whatsoever! Dessert was a brownie, and sadly this was not great, it was really dry and hardly any sauce along with it, as well as no fresh, or ice cream. Maybe this is because it was supposed to be a smaller portion to go with a tea or coffee, but when we asked about it the waitress asked if we just wanted a "regular" portion. The price was a little on the expensive side for us coming in at £75 all in (2x starter, 2x main, 1x dessert and 2x Coke Zero). Overall, really good experience here and we did enjoy the meal overall. It was great as a one off, but we probably won't be back just because of the cost and the poor dessert we had.

We got this to go only because I was sick...As soon as we walked in I immediately had FOMO!. The staff was so attentive, the atmosphere was unbelievable the vibe was amazing! We actually got takeout because my wife has been battling a severe cold for two weeks. I thought the food was gonna be your typical mediocre takeout. We were pleasantly and shockingly surprised. Food was actually incredible. We had the caprese, chicken Caesar salad, mushroom risotto and another chicken and mushroom dish. All were amazing and fresh and well worth the price we paid.

Went here for lunch. Great place. Lovely décor. Staff were great. Very attentive, patient and polite. My lasagne was definitely one of the better ones I've had in a restaurant. Deliciously rich, great texture and had lovely layers of cheese throughout.

Such a pity that this lovely restaurant with its excellent serving staff is let down by a poor and ill thought out menu, based largely around bread. Had the lasagne for our main, which was luke warm, and consisted of lumps of meat in a tasteless gravy sauce, topped by a minimal amount of pasta and cheese. Even the most basic cook could produce a better option. We’ve been before and enjoyed, not sure what’s gone wrong with this restaurant.

The food is very good, gf options presented absolutely no problem. Star of the show was the front of house staff, a real asset to this restaurant, chatty and helpful without being intrusive.

This restaurant is completely happy to take £20 of your money for you to arrive and be told that they only are able to serve the desert menu. ( and they’ll happily do this for 12+ reservation slots over 2 hours! And despite being told by staff this is a common occurrence, they will not update their website to inform you that any bookings after 9 are for deserts only. Save yourself any potential scams and complete lack of alternatives and book with any of the other restaurants in the city that actually serves their entire menu until closing time.

Myself and wife came here on the Bank holiday weekend (republic of Ireland bank holiday) in February the restaurant wasn't major busy. Food wasn't bad I enjoyed the food but the service really let the place down. We ordered our drinks starters and mains all and the same time. Had our starters and waited almost 20mins for our mains to arrive wasn't offered more to drink. Had our mains and was thinking about getting another drink but the service took too long. Pleasant welcome, attentive friendly staff, appropriate decor. Ordered, starters & Unfortunately then received our order of two pizzas with toppings missing with no acknowledgement or suggestion, if wee would be happy with this or like to change our order. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy with what seemed staffed though missed out on our drinks order. Water was refreshing ice cold with fresh lime wedge. The little seat booths was cute if looking for a romantic touch, possibly with dimmed lights to create the theme.

The decor is gorgeous and the food is not bad. Friendly staff but I very much resent the 'trick' they pull of 'forgetting' that you have paid a hefty deposit to secure the table booking. You have to remind them to take the deposit off the bill. There was no apology and I can see from other reviews that this is standard practice. So be warned, unless you remind them to take the deposit off the bill, they will walk away with it. That's not what 'deposit' means, folks!

Went last year for new years, there was a set 3 course menu, we asked if we could only have a main and were told yes. When the bill came tried to charge us £50 each for the 3 courses we didn't have. Went again this year, and we were sat at a very small table right beside the kitchen. There was no where i could put my coat or bag so almost had to sit with it on my knee the whole time. There was a 3 course set menu again and we asked if we could just have a main again and weren't met with a very happy manager. Almost felt as if we were being shunned for not taking the 3 courses (which might i add included 2 starters and a main, dessert an extra £7?) Felt as if we were getting pushed out the door, and when an employee came down with complimentary cheese balls the manager very loudly said we weren't getting those, very awkward for us and also the employee. A 10% added on service charge is also laughable. Also a very awkward atmosphere when you can hear the chef giving off to the employees, almost feel sorry for the waiting staff when the management/kitchen staff are the ones making the place feel tense when you're trying to enjoy a meal.
