The Copper Pot in Ceredigion

Went for a Sunday roast dinner. The menu is very limited with only 2 x types of starters and 3 x types of roast. So if you are very picky eater perhaps call in to find out the menu before booking. So as a starter we both had mushrooms on toast (The other option was fried cauliflower). Nothing special really, and won’t be remembered. The main was beef roast (other option was Turkey roast or nut roast). Apart from super salty gravy (it was sickly salty) the food wasn’t offensive, but also wouldn’t win any awards. The wine on the other hand was very offensive. Only should be used for drain unclogging, not for human intake. The venue itself is super cold, so only ideal for hot sunny days. Staff are nice, service is fast. Dog friendly. I’m very surprised that the place has got such high ratings. I really cannot give more than 3 stars as the food was just not up to the standard. Personally I think place has got the potential, but things would have to get better. Would I return ? - No.

Good music took long for food to come but good food

Superb beef Sunday roast - the beef absolutely melted in the mouth. Welsh rarebit starter was also super tasty. Good choice of drinks.

Lovely meal and very friendly service.

Good food, friendly staff, nice location and one of a handful of restaurants open on a Tuesday in early March. Only downside was it was a bit cold inside even with the heating on.

Fantastic service and the food was amazing! The staff were really friendly and the place was super clean. They had no problem catering to my allergy and explained they had different deep fryers to manage this. Very happy and look forward to eating there again

Can’t fault this place. Excellent food, lovely staff and a great vibe. What more do you want? Turned up on the off-chance there was a free table. They offered us one 30 minutes later when someone was leaving. Can understand why it’s so busy mid-week. Great night.

8 of us went here for a meal, unfortunately everyone was disappointed. Chips were cold, very skinny so difficult to keep warm. Steaks were very griselly. Chicken burger wasn't great. Very limited menu. Quite expensive for what it was. Definitely won't be going there again.

Best Sunday roast in Cardigan. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a fantastic meal at the Copper Pot we were attracted by the specials, oven baked salmon and the Mongolian beef. Preceded by Chimichurri king prawns and Welsh Rarebit. Lovely friendly atmosphere by all who braved the icy pavements this combined with excellent service made the evenings experience. Will definitely revisit

What a find!!! Amazing food and the staff were so friendly. The spicy Cauliflower starter was delicious and the Salmon on special (see pic) was out of this world!

We visited very last minute, 4 adults & two small dogs ! Service was friendly & attentive, Burgers , Tacos & halloumi burger all generous & tasty! Reasonably priced!

Booked a table on route and glad I did as it was full when we arrived, small but tasty menu, I had the tacos which were plenty for me. Dog friendly

A shame as staff seemed very pleasant but unfortunately there is a problem with smelly drains. The smell made it quite unpleasant and had to leave. Could do with a deep clean generally.

Expect a small menu of burgers, ribs, grills and steaks served and a couple of specials, all served with perfectly cooked starters and sides. We ordered the fried chicken burger and smashed beefburger with a side of fried buffalo cauliflower bites and onion rings. Both were tender and delicious, and came with the freshest, crispiest fries and a lovely coleslaw. The cauliflower bites certainly packed a punch and when we asked for BBQ sauce the chef heated up a pot of what I believe was the delicious sauce that comes with the Copper Pot ribs which was awesome. We will definitely try those next time. The portion of onion rings was huge and perfectly cooked. There was nothing greasy about the food despite it being fried food, and we were both too full for dessert. The service was very friendly and polite throughout. Thank you, we will definitely visit again and wish you were closer to us. My polite recommendations are: A vinegar bottle for each table please! An extra heater in the dining room... it was way too cold and I had to put my coat on... A few more fish and a few more "wet" choices on the menu. A meat chilli/curry or similar? Otherwise keep doing what you do! 😄😄😄

In this place I just ate the BEST beef quesadilla I’ve ever had!! Everyone enjoyed their food, we really loved eating here and definitely recommend this restaurant!! Good job!!

Wow needed more than 5 stars for this place, incredible from start to finish, they really couldn't do enough for us. They granted all our wishes, a perfectly quiet area, a table away from any noise to accommodate our sons needs, food cooked exactly how we asked for as he's very specific with what he will eat. Our meal was simply amazing, the best meal out we have ever had, seabass and steak cooked to perfection. Our waitress she was amazing really lovely and attentive, the kitchen chefs doing an incredible job. A big Thanku to the whole team we simply couldn't have asked for anything more

Really, really good American style food. The finger food taccos were far, far better than the award winning British street food taccos I had earlier in the year. We'll be back.

Wow, just wow. Honestly we just stumbled upon this place. But wow. The staff were lovely , and Kat our waitress was just wonderful. The food , 😋 😍 👌 🙌 ....amazing . Huge portions and outstanding taste and flavour.

What a fantastic find this is. I think we've just been served by Cat who is an amazing waitress. Very friendly and very attentive. Lovely to have such a warm welcome. The food was amazing. My steak was to die for. My wife's sea bass was melt in the mouth. My friends filthy fries were delicious. The chicken nuggets were delicious. Proper chicken and really large with the best gluten free coating. The desserts were also gorgeous. Chocolate torte was solid chocolate and absolutely amazing. Eton Mess was also delicious. I just haven't got enough adjectives to describe how wonderful this place is. Essential if you are in Cardigan. Can't emphasise how good Cat is also❤️

What a find! We met some of our family here for lunch and we had such a lovely experience. The flat iron steak was delicious. My husband had the burger, which he says is one of the best he’s ever had (he is quite a burger connoisseur too!). The service was great. We visit Cardigan often and will definitely be back.

7 adults plus a cockapoo went for a birthday celebration last night. 3 of our group our gluten free. We had an incredible meal plus cocktails. Can really recommend thus place. Food great. Staff are helpful and accommodating.

A lovely midweek evening was spent here. A nice, cosy feel to the restaurant and the staff were efficient and friendly. Starter of buffalo cauliflower was delicious. All the of us tucked into steak for our mains and they were cooked, and tastes, beautifully.

We booked a table for 7 people. The food was amazing. I had the veg wrap which came with fries and for dessert white chocolate cheesecake. Highly recommend the copper pot .

Nice restaurant and staff but no vegan main courses or desserts. Shame! Yes they will adapt the vegetarian main dish but how about offering actual vegan options!

We went on a sunday at about 2pm..they had only 2 serving staff who were overwhelmed. They were pleasant, but it took a half hour to just take our order. The food was good but too slow.

We choose this place as was good rating online and after just eating starter we were already happy. Food is made from scratch and served presentable. Tasted delicious and perfect portions. We left full and satisfied.

Great place to eat in Cardigan half way up the High Street. Booking recommended as popular and not many tables. Menu has a limited selection but should cater for most dietary requirements. I can recommend the mixed grill, which I shared with my wife, and was plenty for us. Friendly & welcoming staff. Well worth a visit as a couple or family/group meal.

Had dinner here with the family to celebrate my Brother's 30th birthday on a Saturday night. The place was busy and we mercifully had made a reservation. While we were given a private table, it was cramped and difficult to get into or out of the seats and being right next to the toilets wasn't ideal. The food and drink is London-prices expensive which took me by surprise, given we were almost at the opposite end of the coast to the Capital. We tried a local craft beer, which was rancid and tasted of old brown sherry for some reason. To the restaurants great credit they didn't bill us for those beers, which we greatly appreciated. We ordered a variety of appetizers to share and a main each. The star of the appetizers was the Cajun Halloumi Bites, with the Southern fried chicken and Prawns being a bit dull. In terms of the mains the portions were in line with the price tag generally, but sadly nothing really "wowed" any of us. I ordered the Flat iron steak, but for whatever reason my steak arrived already cut up? Perhaps that's the way its done normally, but I certainly wasn't expecting it. The Steak was cooked beautifully, though slightly tough. Peppercorn sauce was decent, but didn't take like it was freshly made. Normally forgivable issues, but at these prices you really do expect a flawless meal. Overall a nice dinner and experience though.

Whilst on holiday and visiting Cardigan with our two dogs, we thought it would be nice to get something to eat. Everywhere we went was closed (which were supposed to be open on a Saturday). We stumbled across the Copper pot and we’ve had a delicious meal and the staff are all very friendly and most importantly, they welcomed the dogs. Definitely recommend the Copper pot and we’re certainly coming back
