From The TV showing an old football match to the tired decor, this is a time warp place, Doombar is the ale available, maybe better with some more customers in an evening session.

Popped in for some liquid refreshment while in Okehampton. It was quiet on a Saturday afternoon, but decent beer and good service.

Friendly staff with very reasonably priced drinks. Does get lively so not the place to go if you want a quiet drink. Has pool tables and darts boards upstairs, plus televisions to keep up to date with Sport if you wish. When we were in, there was the Grand National on one, the football on another and the golf on another. Definitely my goto pub when in Okehampton.

I came here with some friends to enjoy a catch up having been unwell for a long period of time. I had not left the house for a long period of time so was excited to see some friends. I had no intention of drinking due to not being able to so I didn’t bring along any ID. I understand I should have brought along some ID incase and that is truly my fault. I tried to order a water and was refused then removed from the bar. When my friends asked why this had happened the bar staff (blonde woman) told them “she’s on drugs” and proceeded to tell them that my eyes looked “too big”. This brought me to tears, I had been discriminated against purely on how I looked. I went there hoping for a calm catch up with friends and instead I was rudely accused of being on drugs by the bar staff, very unprofessional and the bar lady even made comments about my eyes to strangers who came on spoke to me later on outside whilst sat alone. The woman behind the bar even made sure I was barred from every pub in okehampton that evening so I wasn’t allowed entry anywhere else. As someone who has to be very careful with their health and has really struggled to get out the house, this was very disappointing and completely unacceptable. It has left feeling very self conscious and disgusted by the behaviour of “professional bar staff”.

It is unbelievable the cheapest pub in town. So welcoming and friendly couldn't ask for anything more. Children and pets welcome until 9pm

Great prices and friendly staff. No food on a Sunday evening but not a drama most pubs don't.

The King's Arms feels distinctly like a bar rather than a pub; all of the locals sit at the bar and interact with each other. It's a Cheers-type of place, and I loved it. As a solo traveler, the staff made me feel like one of the gang - even though I'm American. ;) Thanks for all the laughs, guys! You felt like a little bit of home for this stranger in a strange land.

Nice place, good food, little atmosphere. Has a nice beer garden with gazibo and dog-friendly. Would come again.

It was a very quiet Monday lunch but staff were very friendly and the food from Tina's kitchen was very good.

Having recently moved here needed to find a new local and the Kings Arms certainly fits the bill. All round good place, nice staff and friendly customers.

Great place for family lunch with kids after a hike at nearby Meldon Reservoir. Fantastic value and great pub lunch. Staff were all really friendly and we enjoyed the large pub garden. Good honest pub with tasty food at great prices. Highly recommended.

My wife and I visited for lunch. Covid restrictions applied - fair enough. We found a table and waited for ten minutes, expecting able service. I went to the counter and was told "Sit down - I'll come to you." Another ten minutes, she arrived. We asked her for a menu and was told we had to go to another counter for that. A simple solution to indicate "Food orders here" or "Find a table" would have helped. We went elsewhere.

Nice beer friendly service. Really full baguettes to help fuel your way along the granite way.

The pub was set up for social distancing. Great beer garden out the back so plenty of space and seating out front. Also show sport inside and the lean to. Really helpful staff, good beer 🍻

good was of very poor quality with seemingly no care put into the making of the food. hardly any meat on the pizza, the chips were soggy and to top it all of the onion rings were burnt and bitter

we order our food, the delivery already had a 10 minute delay issued by the restaurant, we then waited the 50 minutes and then the extra 10 minutes, it got to 19:50, the time the restaurant had said it would get here, still no sign, it got to 19:58 and I was fed up and I then rang the restaurant and the man answered and said "I'm on my way, I'll be there soon", the food arrived at 20:20 which I was already appalled by. They also forgot the tray of donner meat but I don't want the to deliver it was that will probably be another 40 minutes for that, then the guy who delivered it didn't have enough change so I had to let him off for that as well, I'm thoroughly disgusted and I am not going to order from here again and I would advise anyone not to order here.

From the original time it was 40 mins late but they added 20 mins onto the confirmation email. The food came and the pizzas were too herby and far roo many anchovies on seafood pizza. It wasnt awful but it just took too long for average pizza considering the name. Sorry.

paid for 2 lots of 3 pieces of chicken and chips and only received 2 pieces in each and the kebabs werent good value

Friendly staff .great atmosphere. Decent prices . This place only lacks in food. But makes up for it in entertainment. Gigs and open like nights.
