The White Bull Hotel Restaurant in Ribble Valley

We ordered a large to go order to feed my daughter’s Volleyball team over this past weekend for the Big South Tournament. When I walked in to pick up it was all ready, perfectly packaged and the staff even helped bring it to my car. They were very friendly and helpful and the pizza, salad and pretzel bites were all delicious! Everyone was happy and the food was plentiful.

Really busy. Good food. Overall good experience. We will go back.

Seems like this place is going downhill. Everytime I’m there it’s worse. A little slower a little dirtier food not as good. I have been eating there two times a year for the last three years. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Can’t fault a thing with the food. Starter, main course and desert among the best we’ve ever had. Took quite a while to arrive and it wasn’t busy but the food more than made up for it. Lovely wine too.

Had to leave because service was terrible stood in line for 15 minutes with several other people waiting on their orders only to be continuously ignored while they service what appears to be a last minute large party as if they are the only ones entitled to quality service. Been a patron of mellow for years this particular establishment is the first unprofessional as if no manager was in site. Mind u this a pay to park area so every minute counts when trying to make deliveries. Just get it together or hire more people. Definitely won’t recommend this. For anybody wondering why it takes over an hour and a half to receive your food now you know why. The service there is very much delivery and to go order very last priority.

Fabulous meal for daughter’s 18th birthday, provided us with a private room for 12 people. Allowed us to set up with banners and balloons in advance. The meal was delicious. Starters we had included the garlic mushrooms, shepherds pie Bon Bon’s and duck pancakes and all were beautifully presented and delicious. We all had different mains and each were enjoyed, again beautifully presented and so delicious and the same can be said for desserts. It’s great to find somewhere, where each dish is prepared fresh and cooked with love and care! The hospitality team were amazing too, so kind and helpful and friendly. It really was an amazing meal! Thanks to the team!

Not sure if it was an extremely off day or what, but this was the absolute WORST pizza I've ever eaten at a Mellow Mushroom. I've eaten a LOT from mellow mushroom all through North and South Carolina. The pizza looked as if the toppings were just dropped over the pizza, nothing placed just totally random placed with no thought. Crust flat and tough, should be airy and soft. The sauce tastes like they got it from Pizza Hut. Just acidic and bland. Our waitress made 4 total visits to our table. To order drinks, order pizza, bring the plates no one gave with the pizza, and to take money. No refills, some other waitress brought our 2 pizzas to our table, slapped em on the table, slid one to the side and slapped he other pan on the table. No rack for the pizzas to place, NO PLATES, just a total let down. At least I don't live in Atlanta so I don't have to worry about coming back here ever again. That's more satisfying than the 1 slice I struggled to eat earlier today.

Ordered lunch with a coworker to go. Pizza was decent. Salad was thrown together, old, and not good or fresh at all. Definitely not worth $8 for a side salad that was made with days old bagged lettuce and produce.

My wife and I called ahead to see if we could have a table. We were assured we could, we were greeted by Miles who welcomed us and showed us to a table. Just a few people in but it was a quiet day. The menu was very good and catered for my wife's Gluten free diet. The service was very good and Miles answered all our question in a very polite manner. The food was outstanding and I really think the chef should be recognised in some way. The White Bull Inn is definately worth a visit for a very good meal.

This place is fantastic. They are accommodating, understanding, and patient, especially considering our party of 20+. The manager there is a rock star in handling us.

Terrible all the way around. Service was very poor and inattentive. After waiting for 15 minutes to sit down we waited 15 minutes for someone to take our dinner order Pizza was disgusting, it took them almost 40 minutes to make a salad and a club sandwich, at that point we just took the food to go. Maybe it was an off day, maybe not but the employees could care less. Won’t be wasting time there again.

Lunch with a friend in an empty pub. Luckily we were sat next to the fire as no other heating on. Pleasant barman/waiter. I chose the chicken and ham hock pie which was lovely. My friend ordered a prawn sandwich and chips. There was very little sauce on the prawns, and the bread was verging on stale. The salad dressing was ‘unusual’ in taste and chips were fine, but most definitely not hand cut. Pointed out our disappointment to the waiter and he said he would report to chef. Most places would have offered a discount at the very least, but not this place.

Went Valentines Day, exceptional food, staff & service. Amazing value for the special set menu. Best meal out in years.

Friday lunch with a friend and our dog who was also welcome. Plenty of choice on the menu, we actually found it hard to choose. The food we ordered was delicious and plentiful. The service was friendly and prompt, will definitely revisit

Pedí la pizza especial de la casa y estaba sabrosa, aunque solo fue el tamaño pequeño, para el precio me parece bastante bien, el lugar es bastante bonito y tiene un ambiente tranquilo, hay un bar si te quieres quedar hablando con alguien y mesas para sentarse afuera. Lo único que cuando me trajeron la pizza no me trajeron servilleta y tuve que ir pedirla pero seguro es un pequeño descuido y es normal.

They were understaffed with my visit. It took around 25 minutes for drink orders and another ten before we could put in food. I wouldn't have been so irritated but it was almost like initially the staff was avoiding us. The kicker was the group booked in advance. The pizza were great a waitress that wasn't serving or party did most of the legwork for my table. I may come again to give them another shot. I had the nests pizza and the wife had a pesto veggie pizza. it's definitely worth ordering takeout if you're in the area! PSA this might also be the coolest location I've been to they have beautiful giant mushrooms hanging fit the ceiling. Get trippy mane!!!

It was Friday Night and the family consensus was that we wanted to do a Pizza Night. As Pizza was the decision, it had to be good. After doing some digging on Yelp we ended up at Mellow Mushroom. The location is super convenient as it’s in the heart of Midtown. There are a few street parking spots, however, there is a paid parking deck directly next to the restaurant. It’s a win win. Unlike the usual ‘pizza spot,’ upon walking in there’s a sign that says “Please Wait to be Seated!” It was at that moment, I knew this was going to be an experience. LoL. Taking in the environment, the ambiance is very chill and laid back. This is a great location for a low key night out with friends, family, or even a chill themed date night. Adding to the pleasant ambiance, the hostess was super nice and all smiles. He sat us immediately and made a great welcoming impression as it relates to the standards of service. Once seated, our waiter, Jesse came over and introduced himself. Along with welcoming us to Mellow Mushroom, he confirmed the number in our party and immediately took our drink orders. Again, a great representation of service. With such an assortment of menu items there is something for everyone and every craving. Naturally as it was family night out, we were all ready to order up the menu. LoL!! The Food: Pretzel Bites - Not your traditional pretzel bites. If you are looking for the hard outside and soft center, these are not them. These are homemade and have a full doughy profile. They put you in the mindset of a soft, chewy, pizza crust cut into bite size pieces. They are enjoyable if you are looking for a bread based app, however, if you have a taste for a traditional pretzel, this isn’t the fix you need. Greek Salad - Everything on the salad was FRESH. Though I ordered the ‘Lil’ size it was more than enough. The Feta was amazing. The thinki sliced onions and peppers were amazing. And the highlight of the salad beyond the FRESH ingredients is the house dressing. OhMyGosh!!!! I’m talking robust, well seasoned, not too thick, not too runny, a perfect made dressing for a perfect made FRESH salad. Mighty Meat Pizza (M) - This pizza was everythingggggggggg. This is a go big or go home kind of pizza. Extra meaty. Extra flavorful. And, Extra good. The pizza has a traditional flavor profile, however, it is elevated by the Mellow Mushroom Crust. Not your typical flour dough. The MM crust is a different breed. According to their website, the crust stands apart from the rest as it has a distinctive sweet flavor and soft texture that starts with a dough made from five simple ingredients and mixed with single-source Appalachian spring water. Now listen, I’ve never had a crust made with Appalachian spring water, but babeeeeeeeeeee. It is GOOD!!! LoL!!! Cheesy, Meaty, and perfectly baked. Not only was my pizza amazing, but every pizza that came to the table was awesome. If you’re in the area and looking for a Pizza or Salad fix, head over to Mellow Mushroom and get your order on!

Such a lovely place, situated in downtown ATL perfect location I ordered the Vegan pizza, I took a chance and went for the large and when I tell you it was delicious I mean it really was. Pizza nice and hot, cooked to my pleasure. The crust was crunchy and the toppings were amazing. Thanks so much for having vegan options.

We wanted a good pub meal in Gisburn where we were staying, and couldn’t have done better. Interesting thoughtful menu, fair drinks list. Friendly welcome and helpful service. We had mild coconutty prawn curry, and succulent boeuf bourgouinon, attractively served on hot plates. Excellent cooking. Lots of people for a Thursday evening, so clearly the word is deservedly getting around. Thanks White Bull!

We visited the White Bull twice on our stay at lodges in Gisburn. We arrived on the 29th Dec for lunch and despite not booking a table, the staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating despite the pub being busy. We all had starters and main courses and we all loved the food, it was exceptionally good for pub food. Two of us had the prawn and cod cheek curry, which was absolutely delicious and offered something different to usual pub grub. We also came back on New Year's Eve for afternoon drinks, there was a great atmosphere and was very, very busy, which is testament to what a great pub it is. We will definitely be back. Thank you all so much, the service was great.

Very good first time eating at one in Atlanta

Stopped at the one off Virginia Avenue not knowing they close at 9pm on Saturdays. Glad to find out this one stays open til 11pm. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and the pizza and salad was tasty. I love the decor and it also has a full bar.

The White Bull went the extra mile today to make my wife's birthday celebration exceptional. I can't praise them enough. As a family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children under 6 years old), we had been let down at the very last moment at another establishment. I'm so glad that we were. The White Bull gave us a room of our own, two tables pushed together to keep us all together, and served us superbly. We were even able to bring our dog. They could not have done any more. They pulled out all the stops for us even on a very busy day. To top it all, the food was superb. This made the day for a family that doesn't often get together like this. Thank you so much.

The Greek salad was also quite yummy. The service was a little slow but we weren't in a hurry.

Wow what a lovely experience. Pleased to find it had reopened after being closed. Now under new management. The place itself is stunning having recently been tastefully refurbished. We were only a small group meeting for our yearly get together. The food was fantastic and realistically priced. A very big plus was that the food was served on hot plates. We had a varying selection from the Xmas menu. The fish was beautiful as were all the meals. Well presented and served by a friendly young man with a definite sense of humour. Will definitely be back.

We found this online when looking for somewhere to eat near where we were staying for a night. On arrival were greeted by friendly staff and given our pick of tables. Not busy but a few tables of people and it was a winter Monday night. We chose to sit by the fire which was lovely. Also lovely to see dogs are welcome. We were asked if there were any dietary requirements and when we told them my husband's no dairy (but eats meat and fish so not vegan) there was an instant check with the kitchen to check what was suitable, even offering modified desserts. He had the banana blossom (vegan alternative to fish and chips) because he'd never tried it before. It was tasty and portion size of the large was very generous. I ordered the cheese and onion pie which is made to order. Oh. My. God! The side veg and mash were perfectly prepared and delicious but the pie was probably one of the best pies I've ever had. Rich and complex filling - think the best Welsh rarebit amped up and you're getting close! Unfortunately, we were too full for a dessert but choices looked lovely. Wide selection of ales on tap and well stocked bar (pity I was driving). Shout out to Mandy for her perfect, friendly service and banter (good luck with the welding)! 10/10 would recommend and will be sure to visit when we are in the area again.

Me and my Wife visited on 25th November for our 12th wedding anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. Mandy was our server and the service she delivered was exceptional. We both opted for the Cheese and Onion Pie and it was absolutely amazing, definitely the best I’ve ever had. Very good portion size and reasonably priced.

What a great find. My wife and I came for lunch for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had 3 courses and loved every one of them. The beef bourginon was beautiful and just fell apart. We had a lovely waitress who was so helpful. We would definitely love to return.

This might have been the worst mellow mushroom experience I’ve ever had. Our two pizzas were probably the least appealing looking and tasting pizzas I’ve had since the last 15 years of coming and working and a MM. we had the holy shiitake that didn’t have the aioli and tasted bland and a cheese with pineapple pizza that also tasted bland and just felt like it had subpar ingredients. Our waitress was a nice young lady that I think did her best but once she transferred the table we never had someone come ask us how the food was or refill our drinks. The restaurant was not full or busy so it was weird that they couldn’t come check on a table. Hopefully management sees this and understands that they have some training to do and work on their ingredients and quality of pizza. Ps without the aioli the holy shiitake is a bad pizza and the customer should be informed to make another decision if they want. I just realized what was missing from the pizza…

Ordered Mellow Mushroom for delivery and I want to say first that the delivery was spot on and great. The pizza was edible, burnt in some areas and an almost undercooked texture towards the middle. Passable on a large pizza but this was a small personal pizza. The wings were chewy, gummy texture. Not at all how good wings are. The pretzel bites were the only thing that tasted amazing. Although the beer cheese had an odd fluoride smell to it which kept throwing me off. All in all it is not worth the price. $60 for mediocre food. I would have been better off going to a Sbarro or Papa John’s. Don’t waste your time here and just go to a sit down restaurant.

We got the karma veggie pizza which was quite delicious - different and better than the standard veggie pizza fare. The Greek salad was also quite yummy. The service was a little slow but we weren't in a hurry.

The food here is absolutely amazing sp fresh and tasty my compliments to the chef ,the service is also brilliant its a lovely place.

What a good pub! The food was amazing, such a good varied menu. The staff warm and friendly and the decor is lovely too. The beef shin and chicken and ham pie both delicious, one of the best meals in a long time - would highly recommend visiting.

We walked here from the Georgia Aquarium, it was super convenient to get to and not busy at all, despite being a Sunday! Our server was nice, fast, and mostly accommodating, although our party of 9 had to be split between 2 tables. The food was very tasty, especially our pretzel bite appetizer! The prices were pretty decent too. Despite being a chain, this place really has a unique charm to it. I enjoyed my experience here, and would recommend visiting.

Only wish we found this little gem earlier food was amazing and the service superb a beautiful place to dine.

This was a family gathering of 32 people for Sunday lunch. We were asked to pre-order, which was understandable with so many guests, but were able to choose from the full menu. We were given use of a private room which was perfect for us. Food and service was excellent, with a varied choice picked by guests. Miles, the front of house Manager, did everything he could to make our family gathering go well. We all had a great time. Many thanks go to him and his hard working kitchen staff.

Pleasantly surprised during our visit here. The staff was super friendly and the pies were incredible. Really impressed with the crust, both fluffy and has a nice chew to it. The toppings tasted fresh and the combinations were great.

What a lovely pub. The food was excellent. The staff, especially Miles, were friendly and professional. The variety on offer, was much better, than most pubs I've been to.

We didn’t want to go very far so we picked this establishment. It was in the process of a refurb (a sign was up) but that wasn’t visible on the visit. We called to make a booking but we’re assured we could come when we like. The lady I spoke to on the phone was the manager who took our orders on anrrival and was extremely polite and accommodating. I had the fish and chips which was very good (only slight criticism fish was a bit small and I’d gone for the large fish and chips choice). My partner had the ham hock and chicken pie which she described as “beautiful”, She was a bit surprised it came with chips rather than potatoes but that wouldn’t have bothered me, and she wasn’t that bothered anyway. I asked for tartare sauce which they had, her dish also came with very nice “seasonal veg” and with 2 pints of lime and soda the total was £40. A lot of gastro pubs around this part of the world but this is slightly cheaper than most. Menu could be slightly more extensive and the main on the special list was not on this particular night, a lick of paint is needed (I presume that’s part of the refurb) . However we would definitely return. Credit to the young lady manager that night and the chef.

Worst service ever. Took 15 minutes to be seated. After waiting for another 15 for a server to come to our booth, finally went to the front counter to place the order. Apparently they don’t know how to wait on customers that have been seated by host. Obviously, very disorganized.

Good pizza, comfortable space, quick service.

Our first time back since it changed hands and what a tremendous improvement! We called by whilst on a walk with our dog and were pleased to see the old place redecorated, clean and cosy, well stocked bar, great and sensible choice on the menu and a pleasant place to be again. We had the garlic bread and cheese, skin on fries, bacon chop and fish & chips - all made to an excellent quality combined with good service from the crew. We have missed this place and look forward to becoming regular visitors again.

We visited here for my birthday whilst staying at a lodge nearby. The place was empty when we arrived however it was half 4 on a Tuesday - it did start to get busy by the time we were leaving a few hours later though which was nice to see. The food was absolutely delicious, a real treat for a fairly unassuming exterior. We both ordered the goats cheese arancini which was beautiful and one of the nicest starters I have ever tried, and then the nduja parpadelle and the beef blade for mains. The beef was tender and flavoursome and the cabbage cooked with bacon was perfect. My partner ordered the pasta which he really enjoyed, although quite spicy there were no complaints. The damson crumble finished off the meal nicely. The staff were friendly and polite and if the dining room had been a bit busier I imagine the atmosphere would be a little different but we didn't really mind. A beer garden would have been nice to finish our drinks in - although there are tables out front, the road was very noisy, but this didn't take away from the enjoyable evening we had. We will visit again next time we are in the area!

I ordered delivery online through the Mellow Mushroom website but my $55.00 meal arrived missing both dressings for my salad (so there is no dressing at all), also they did not accommodate my request for no bell peppers. The pizza and calzone were tasty, just really wanted that esperanza.... I was able to get a refund for the dressings after calling the restaurant 4 times.

Absolutely love this lovely pub! IT’s everything you want in a local and more! Great food always perfect, it’s clean and the team are extremely attentive and friendly. Also their is ample room for parking. I’d definitely recommend it!

I ordered a pizza and a drink to go yesterday I changed my mind and sat at empty table to eat and was told I can’t eat inside because I ordered to go, is this you’ll policy? First time in since new people. But just wow , went to celebrate my friends birthday, from moment we walked in ...to we went was just brilliant, food was absolutely 💯 amazing delicious 😋. Staff 💯 lovely and polite. We sat planning when to go back, and can not wait....and think we're booking for Christmas 😁.

Right downtown nice area. The place is big with of course mushrooms are decorated. Service was fast and nice. The pizza was ok lacked sauce. We had a pepperoni and a chicken bacon on garlic sauce because they don't offer a white sauce. We also had drinks don't waste your money watered down. All in all its a nice restaurant.

Update your hours for Saturday online please. It says y'all open at 11 a.m., but you don't open until noon on Saturdays. Other than that, it's a well run restaurant!

Came here 20 minutes ago to pick up pizza. They said it is in process. 20 minutes later I asked again they said sorry we just forgot and brought a cold pizza.

We were welcomed and had the most super meal. What a chef!! Thoroughly enjoyed the good good & the banter from the 2 young waiters! Well worth a visit.
