Nice pub with decent food. Wednesday quiz nights are good fun.

Never thought I'd be giving the Rodney a 1 star but, that's what it deserved when I visited. The staff behaved like they were on a school trip - 3 smashed glasses, and a WHOLE pint poured over a customer 😑 in the space of 2hrs! The food - it was edible. The toilets??!! Jeez, you really need to sort them out!!! You will be pleased to hear I won't be returning any time soon. Let me know when you've had a makeover! 😥

Good food, friendly staff. Interior has a cottage/cosy feel to it rather than a big open space, menu decent, car park to side, we went with 4 and 5 yr old and would go again.

Such a shame as it was a really friendly and welcoming pub. Bar staff are very rude and do not make you feel welcome! Beer lines are not clean and beer tastes foul!

Great food, always a welcoming atmosphere and our server Angela is a star. It’s worth a visit just for her!!

Staff are very immature. Loved this pub but seems to have gone down hill quickly. Change is needed! Toilets need a good scrub too.

Great local pub. I go there again and again with friends with family and even on my own. Good food. Burgers still come with chips!

Love the Rodney..we go back years. Love the feel of the place and the ambiance. However a few things always bother me..the price of the lager is utterly astonishing. I've never paid more for a pint of lager in any other pub..anywhere! Ever!!! £6:40... that's capital city prices or worse!! Someone somewhere is rubbing their hands in glee and yet the place is still always full!! Secondly the bloke's toilets are medieval at best. Soooo very grim. I've contemplated peeing myself as an alternative to avoid having to go! Yes THAT bad. I'll still continue to visit despite my moans though. Crazy I know..

Staying in Nottingham, called in here for lunch. Traditional looking pub, lots of tables in various rooms, cosy atmosphere. Very busy but plenty of parking spaces. Few vegan items on the menu, good value, we had the superfood salad, katsu curry and mariana ciabatta with chips. Don't have to wait to long even though it was busy. Specials on so really good value. Cost just over £30 for three meals with drinks. Dogs welcome.Worth calling in for a meal.Would book as it gets busy.

Great food, unfortunately very run down & in need of refurbishment, chipped cups, bad aroma in foyer from toilets, understaffed, very cold.

Came in with a couple of friends for dinner, service at the bar and table was brilliant, Artur a member os staff really stood out as his service was amazing and was so polite.

Excellent food and quick service in a friendly local pub. Food menu has changed but quality of food still good. Pub beginning to look shabby and needs freshening up Toilets not good either.

As a drop in for drink and a chat which is what I and my girlfriend did, it's not the best, no where to really find a cosy corner to chat sadly. It's a lovely old pub but far to busy with the Sunday lunch types ,in that respect it's great and just what a green king pub is set up for. I would not go again except for food. Just not what I like or require but we gave it a go.

I appreciate this Is a dog friendly pub, but not dogs on public seats. Unacceptable wouldn't be allowed if German shepherd, or any larger dogs were roaming all over the seats,so shouldn't be allowed for cockapoo type dog's either. But nice pint and lovely pub

Christmas lunch was okay, nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly. But I had a lot of trouble booking as the staff kept making mistakes.

A good place to meet up with friends, either after a good walk around the nearby Wollaton Park or in the evening. Good selection of beer and wine. Food not too expensive either, which is even better. It has a car park, so consider leaving the car until the next day - please don't drink and drive!

Went for Xmas dinner and was very impressed, food was excellent and generous portions with great service in a busy pub.

Pub was busy but lovely, food was very good. The only thing that lets it down is the toilets. There are not enough male toilets and neither the male or female facilities were very clean.

Lovely get together spent there. I would have enjoyed my Sunday Roast with a little less gravy, or maybe brought on a side. For the rest it was all good. Except the attitude of a waiter cleaning the table clearly kicking us out after our reservation slot expired. Would have been nicer of him talking to us about it instead of clanking chairs and tableware to let us know...it was very passive aggressive of him.

Excellent selection of beers, and the food was both excellent and very reasonably priced. The chicken katsu curry was worth returning for.

Really good pub. Some great food offers. The food is was excellent value for money and tasty. Nice large car park at rear of the pub with some outdoor seating. Warm and friendly service and good atmosphere inside the venue. It is an excellent pub and venue to visit for catching up with friends.

Wonderful dog friendly pub, with a wide selection of drinks, including fruity ciders! Offers a wonderful menu of pub fayre, including Sunday roast dinners. Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a sunday roast look no further amazing meal two different types of meat, so well done it melted in your mouth, large portions and a free, yes free pudding, greenking you have upped your game for this public house amazing choice of beers and superb service ...try it ...but book if not early the only thing that let's it down are the toilets absolutely disgusting water or piss everywhere and stinks of it you'd be cleaner in a portable outside Staff are not bothered it's been like it for months if not longer Go to toilet before going

Just a really good food pub. All food and drinks were good ( nothing special but what can you expect for the very reasonable prices?). Will definitely come again. Service and friendliness above average too

Sadly we were there for a wake for an Aunt so not a normal visit. We took over one of the bars. The selection of food provided (sandwiches, pork pie, homemade sausage rolls, crudités, dips, chips, onion rings, etc) was very good and clearly freshly done. Good selection of beers and the service was fine.

Quality pub. The food is a very high standard. Drinks are standard. Pleasant atmosphere and seating area. Convenient back room with two televisions, in my case, the football.

Really nice Sunday roast. Ordered food and drinks on the app. Food took just over half an hour to arrive, drinks were no more than 5 mins.

Great pub with great atmosphere. Food was fantastic. We had fish and chips and scampi and chips. Very little wait despite being very busy. This is the 1st pub we have found that serves zero alcohol Guinness - it's amazingly good!! One star lost because the toilets were very much below par!

Nice staff and environment, but food wasn't great. Mac n cheese was watery and bland. Seemingly from a packet sauce mix. Not topped with grated and grilled cheese- usually the best part of mac n cheese!

The Admiral Rodney hosted the wake after my Nan’s funeral today. They looked after us all very well and the food served was exceptionally nice.

Great food, lovely pub, fantastic atmosphere but the men's toilets are horrible!

We took our rescue dog with us. It was her first time in a pub, that we know of. Once she got a drink of water and a good fuss from the bar staff, she was in heaven. We felt so very welcome. The service was super friendly. The food, although a little on the higher side we think it was well worth it just for the service. We will be going back as much as we can.

Good range of ales. Good service. Pub meals were above par. Atmosphere wasn't the pub's fault as we visited between afternoon and evening - so a little empty and 'light' on atmosphere, but clearly had potential for a fun night.

Local to our office, so popped in for lunch with a work friend. Was pleasantly supprised with my burger 🍔 It was cooked and served exactly as I asked. Can't rate the beer as only having had a soft drink. Service was good and the food arrived in time to get back to work on time.

Nice pub. Great value 2 for 1 meal deal on tasty pub grub. Good range of no/low alcohol beers for those driving. Toilets are in need of a major overhaul though....

Not over impressed with the dining experience after waiting 45 minutes for food on a fairly quiet Monday lunchtime. Scampi consisted mainly of empty breadcrumb shells and chips were far from hot.
