Was good but even better with refit. Good prices, lovely food and staff.

What a lovely, friendly cafe, I will definitely be back.

Love it here very friendly place

Hubby had a large cappuccino and a flap Jack and I had a glass of milk. Reasonable prices and the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked lovely and fresh. Will order food next time.

Pop in for a coffee for two reasons Friday every time I go past this place it’s always busy I have never managed to get a table in the window today success, perfect table, with a perfect view, with a perfect cup of coffee, friendly Staff, lovely atmosphere nicely, situated on the main street… 10/10 see you soon

Been there a lot mainly dragged in by friends. Pricey for what you get. A slice of lemon cost for tea cost 35 pence and the tea was not that hot. Should have freshly boiled water.

The server behind the counter was great, friendly and prompt. Unfortunately the pancakes on the American Breakfast were more like stale biscuits. I can't believe they were made today

Coffee shop offering snacks and cakes. There is seating both inside and out however it does get busy. We were lucky to grab a table as people were leaving. Prices are reasonable. Coffee is very good. My mother had a hot chocolate which she also enjoyed.

Wow lovely cup of coffee. Fantastic array of cakes and pastries. Will defo be back for another next time will try the scones with proper clotted Cornish cream 👍

Right I’m leaving a review one more time cuz u didn’t understand what I meant. You are horrible and very rude to staff and yeh you can “proof on cctv” that my boyfriend got his money but you treated him so badly first of all and didn’t give him the money when he asked you to and when he came for it you said go and come back at less busy time…. Also for your information he didn’t loose his job he left because you are horrible to ur staff if they are a boy and he was still learning and you kept telling him he can’t work he didn’t have a pervious experience at cafe and he was learning and you would call him stupid and treated him horribly so he left but you’re 40 something year old self flirt with the ur girls staff and u treat them nicely even though they mess orders up I can prove that they mess orders up cuz all my friend that went to ur cafe have complained to me abt it lol. I’m not the only one saying you’re horrible to your staff other people have left the same review so I suggest you to not say anything and don’t act nice cuz you aren’t. Do not give me attitude because I’m not having it

Had a massive breakfast. Absolutely fantastic and great value for money. You can stare and watch the world go buy. Great atmosphere

Rude manager Says I did things wrong when I did exactly what he asked said he was going to give me more shifts than sacked me, I feel like he discriminated against me because he wants cheap labour and I’m almost 18 and he knew that!

Myself and daughter was made to feel like a criminal. I previously left a review but the aggressive 'owner' says he checked the CCTV and my daughter was in the wrong and has I think removed my review.She wasn't wrong , you obviously misunderstood as what 13 year old wants a hot latte when asking for a frappe,he was in the wrong for being verbally aggressive and wagging his hand in my daughter's face, I bet that wasn't caught on your CCTV was it!

The drinks are great. I tried the mango passionfruit smoothie and ice vanilla latte. Quick service and generous portions. Will come again def!

My wife and daughter came home extremely upset today because of an altercation with what sounds like an agressive nasty owner. He was shouting and was waving his finger in my 13 year olds face. They made a mistake with the order and would not change it.

This cafe has gone down hill dramatically. Really sad as it used to have a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately I took friends there today & the owner was so rude & aggressive towards us. The order was wrong & he refused to make it right or refund us. The food & drink that was right was very poor quality & we left without eating or drinking most of it. Won't be visiting again !

The man who owns the business doesn’t pay the people who work there minimum wage and is belittling and rude to staff. Wouldn’t visit again until he takes responsibility and follows the legal minimum wage.

Terrible off hand service. Expensive for low quality food. Simply wanted a coffee and a scone. Handed over £5 but astonished at charge of £6.50. Asked if I wanted the scone warmed and I replied just a tiny bit, just to freshen it if it wasn’t freshly baked. The scone came with sealed butter, sealed cream and sealed jam which may have explained the cost but I didn’t want. Wasn’t informed at the counter that this was how they served their scones. Was told the price was the same and not offered any money back. When I cut the scone a few minutes later it was hot - not warm - red hot and stodgy. Put me off. Don’t think I’ll be back. Coffee was ok but not worth £3.15.

My sister and I just visited today, we enjoyed a coffee and cake each. We recommend this cafe to everyone.

Perfect customer service. Small friendly coffee shop in heart of Sherwood high Street. Met up with friends for coffee and a catch...Perfect location. Had cappuccino and a lemon muffin cake. Both were delicious. Vast choice of drinks and food on the menu

Lovely 200deg C coffee, served by lovely staff. Had vegan flap jack and that was pretty good too.

Friendly, quick, cheap, dog friendly, lovely coffee (200 degrees), comfy, their veggie sausage & egg cob is my go to breakfast!

Comfy cafe in sherwood with indoor and outside seating. The prices are reasonable (more than your average costa or Caffè Nero) and the food is good. The sausage roll and hot chocolate was great! Would definitely recommend. We were allowed to wrap the cake and take it out with us to eat later on.

This is a really nice place to go. I was cold as it didn't feel heated but with the expense of heating now I am not surprised. The staff are lovely and helpful, process are good. I didn't taste the food because I didn't eat so I do not know what the food is like. I would go again as lovely staff, good atmosphere and lovely environment 😊

Busy little cafe with a nice community vibe, not a huge amount of space to sit on a busy Monday around lunchtime. The staff were clearly busy, but took the time to be polite and attentive when delivering our order to our table. Quite loud in the cafe especially near the front where we were sat, next to the coffee machine so we could hear it grinding every few minutes.

Waited 20 minutes for a coffee,,, 5 people behind the counter not really doing anything. Eventually what looked like the owner who was enjoying a coffee with a friend asked ‘ are you ok sir’…,,, You don’t need 5 people doing nothing,, have 2 or maybe 3 ..,,,,,,doing something,,… just a personal overview of your cafe that has done so very well,,,… Shake it up,,……

Could only give one star and wouldn't even give that.... vegetarian sausages are CLEARLY cooked in the same pan as meat sauages and i know this. BUTTER... more like marge.... absolutely disgusting... cutlery dirty. Attitude towards staff is belittling and the manager/owner should take responsibility first.....

I was spending a few days in Nottingham, near sherwood and I decided to try breakfast in this cafetería. It looked nice because they have different cakes, homemade scones, nice sandwiches, and a wide variety of coffes etc My small breakfast was delicious! It tasted to homemade flavour. The place is clean,and cosy And the owner is very helpul, joyful I recommed you a visit if you are by there.

They provide 4 optional alternatives to milk for the drinks, but charged an extra 50p for it. When I asked how much it would cost for a fruit scone alone, without jam, butter and cream, I was told it would still be £3.20 so I pointed out that I shouldn't have to pay for what I didn't want. I actually can't eat cream and try to avoid butter. So I had a cherry bakewell slice for £2.20 and that was hard and dry. They were all busy and I didn't like to complain.

We went for coffee and opted for some pasty. However, it did not look appetising as it looked dry so we got sausage roll from next door. We also bought our 2 year old daughter her pasty and juice. Coffee was served and we started eating. We did not know only food ordered here can be consumed. One of the staff/owner told us we were not allowed to eat despite him seeing us and our child eating. We had to pack and leave. That man did not even think to let our child finish her breafkast. Terrible customer care!

I enjoy going there. There's a lot of cheesey dishes which I enjoy but I have high cholesterol so I have to avoid them!!

So firstly, there was about 3 people in the café itself. I asked for a cheese and tomato toastie, which took over 20 -25 minutes to get. Staff are more interested in gossiping with one another than serving customers. Could see the back kitchen from where I was stood and the bin was overflowing. Disgusting.

Really disappointed with our visit, we've been to this cafe on many occasions & no issues. This time my daughters sandwiche the bread felt stale i mentioned it to the server, he said well its been sat in the fridge all morning. The food isn't wrapped up its all open, for me thats a big No, all food should be covered up. The server just dismissed that it wasn't okay! My daughter did eat some of it and left just over half of sandwiche. It cost just under £4 for a stale sandwiche. That was our very last visit.

Not been to this cafe before. But found the safe very friendly. Coffee and cake really nice. Very reasonable prices would certainly visit again.

Nice place good service we was waiting for somebody else to meet us so they delayed the order enabled us to eat together the only issue we had was a coffee with served in chipped mug

The owner of this cafe is such a lovely person, always smiling and so polite whenever I visit. The coffee is always excellent and so is the food (especially the baked goods). I love that the menu always has plenty of different latte flavours depending on the season. One of the best coffee places in Nottingham, in my opinion.

This is the most welcoming down to earth cafe around. I love it. There's always a smile and a welcome for me and my dog. It's got no airs and graces.

Food prices are too expensive & the portions are small. Hot drinks are mostly luke warm. Seems to be mostly younger staff who's inexperience shows. What I detest the most is when sitting outdoors someone on the next table starts smoking.

A fantastic place, super friendly & welcoming staff. Very efficient & accommodating service, very dog friendly, a wide variety of food and drink available (even wine 😊) highly recommend

Apologies for leaving an average review, but today was just not good. The drinks are great, no probz there. It's clean too with good waiters serving. 😊 I just find the owner tries to get more out of customers by crafty tricks when they order. Please don't do that with repeat regulars and elderly folk for whom this is a lifeline. Also, today's lasagne was horrible. The minced beef was stringy and undercooked and pasta strips chewy and dry. There was no sauce or bechamel to moisten it either. The above dish seriously needs preparing differently. I hate wasting money on bad food. On a plus note, the young bespectacled guy is sweet and polite. He will go far in life being cheerful and eager to do small tasks.

Once again let themselves down by serving already spread toast with margarine Why not ask I for one cannot stand margarine and would be willing to pay a bit more for decent bread and proper butter

I have frequently had a positive experience here, however my last visit was unpleasant and I was made to feel very uncomfortable, I will not return as the Manager/ Owner was so rude and the service very slow . Such a shame as it was my friends first visit and I am sure they will not return either. We visited twice in one day 30 minutes to buy a take out cold coffee! Then reprimanded in front of everyone by the owner/ Manager when the communication between staff wasn't understood - Poor service standards, wrong order delivered, wrong price charged, and then spoken about to other customers by the manager within earshot -

Do not visit this place! I almost swallowed a fly AND a maggot whilst drinking my coffee, which immediately made me throw up. I told the owner and asked that something be done about it. He was incredibly rude and told me that I had put them in there myself (?!) no apology, just arrogance and refusal to take ownership of the issue. I have never felt so humiliated and ill-treated... And I've worked in hospitality!

Grabbed a hot chocolate and chocolate crunch as a take away during lockdown. Social distancing measures in place and sanitiser available. Friendly service. Same price as costa/Starbucks but support local businesses for same high quality products.
