Food absolutely amazing, staff very friendly, only reason for the 3star we had to shout and ask every time we wanted to order food or drink. They need to just check tables and make eye contact. Apart from that it was a great night. Will definitely be going again.

Have now been 7 times on our own and with friends not yet had any reason to complain food and service, Fabulous, All the guys are great

Not has good as Bengal pride. This was Bengal lounge, my new review is for Banasari. Visited with my partner on a Saturday night with no booking @ at about 9.30. It was no trouble at all & we was shown to our table by a young pleasant waitress. Our drinks order was taken promptly & we was given time to make our food choices, The waitress came to take our food order but then a waiter came & said he would take it instead. ( he said in case she made a mistake) I felt sorry for the waitress as she was really nice & didn’t think this was a nice situation in front of customers. We ordered our food & we always ask for slight difference to the menu, but again this was no issue at all. We was brought some free poperdoms as they said our food would be a little while longer, nice touch thank you, Our food came & it was the best Indian food I have tasted for a long while. My partner ordered the chicken garlic chill Karai. I ordered a vegetable korai. & the flours was gorgeous with the right amount of spice. My partner ordered a garlic Nan & I a peshwari Nan, the bread was the freshest I have tasted . There was a mix up with the bill but this was easly sorted & would not put me off going again as the food was fantastic. Hoping to visit again soon

Great food, not the best service but the restaurant was very busy so could understand why the service wasn't the best. When coming to pay the bill was £495 for 15 people, I'd already paid a £70 deposit, this wasn't deducted from the total, so had to remind the waiter to deduct our deposit.

As a group of 5 ladies, we had a most enjoyable night. We opted for the all you can eat option, which every one of us thoroughly enjoyed. Not one of us had anything that wasn't cooked perfectly, and it all was all presented nicely too. We just about tried everything. The portion sizes were really good, so not too much & not too little, perfectly sized, to try dishes. We will definitely be visiting again 💯

1st time going to this Restaurant. Very nice set up. Friendly staff. Very polite . Good selection of food . Loved the Hydrabadi biryani and keema naan. And ofcourse the Karak chai after finishing the meal. Highly recommended. We also tried the Gajor halwa - very very nice dessert. All in all a nice restaurant. Has buffet service but we ordered normally. The food here feels much closer to home ( Bangladesh) so if anyones looking for flavour from the continent- this place is a great alternative to the native lands. Best desi restaurant in hull so far. Will try the pani puri next time 😇😇

We dined here on a Sunday evening from the all you can eat buffet menu. All of the food was excellent and the staff were very welcoming and friendly, we will be returning again with friends.

Excellent choice tonight, the all you can eat buffet style was new to us, but turned out to be a real winner. Small tasty dishes... we ordered the fish pakora three times!! Over 30 dishes to choose from, including veggie and vegan. And the toilets were immaculate. Certainly recommend!!

Can't praise this place enough. I visited with my family and what a place. The food Is amazing and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. We were waited on hand and food and although our every need was seen to immediately they weren't hovering over the table or constantly bugging us. The place is immaculately clean and we were seated straight away. This is now a new favourite of ours. I would definitely recommend it. Well done to everyone involved.

First visit here, treated my son to a meal out for his birthday. We were greeted by really friendly staff and quickly seated at our table. They explained how the all you can eat option worked but also advised the normal menu was an option too. We line to try different things so opted for the all you can eat, at £20.95 it seemed a fair price. We were presented with the usual pickle tray and poppadoms, the poppadoms had a small twist, they looked like Doritos! Really nice! Our drinks were nice and fresh, we opted for mocktails. When we had chosen our plates, we didn't have long to wait until it arrived. At first I thought the portions were really small but it is a sample of the food. You can order many more dishes, until you are full. We didn't manage too many though as it was surprisingly filling! Everything was tasty, fresh and well presented and always served with a smile. Staff were great, food was great, drinks were great.... What's not to enjoy! Thank you for making this birthday meal a lovely one, we will definitely be visiting again 😀😀😀

Came over from Lincoln last night to celebrate my Brothers Birthday. Absolutely brilliant all you can eat meal. Coming out in small portions, 4,3, then 2 and more if you wanted. Great way to sample different dishes. All very tasty. Brilliant smooth fast service at a very reasonable price too. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you. X

I love a tasty Indian meal, if you do too, this is the place to come, outstanding food, outstanding service, great atmosphere. My experience, I ordered a Delhi Chicken (a hot one), a garlic naan and some rice, all the food came quickly and was eaten quickly, an absolute joy. The waiting staff were amazing, getting us drinks when we needed some and offered their expert opinions on which dish to choose. Top marks all round, I'll be back, if you haven't visited, you should do!

Had a great dinner at Banarasi on Thursday. Despite not having a reservation and the restaurant being full, they quickly found us a table. Excellent food and service in a cozy restaurant at a reasonable price. Planning to return on Friday for a fantastic deal: 2 cocktails for just £10. Kudos to Banarasi!

The restaurant has a cozy, inviting atmosphere with impeccable, friendly service. They offer a variety of delicious dishes for all tastes. On our first visit, owner Ree recommended the Malabar prawn curry, which was outstanding. If you love Indian food, Banarasi is a must-visit with reasonable prices.

My friend and I had a fantastic dinner at an Indian restaurant. It was elegant, clean, and had excellent service. We enjoyed delicious Naan bread and had water and soft drinks. Every bite was a delight, and we're eager to return. Surprisingly, the Indian flavors weren't too spicy, and it was great value for money.

We are loyal patrons of Banarasi, unequivocally the finest Indian eatery in our opinion. The proprietor, Ree, is a warm-hearted and enthusiastic individual, and the cuisine is consistently exceptional and inventive. While we eagerly await our return to dine in, we decided to indulge in a delivery experience, replete with our beloved dishes. The outcome was superb: the food was punctually delivered, still piping hot, and we applaud their excellent service.

Great little spot. Had the all you can eat - great selection and very nice, authentic dishes. Staff very attentive and rounds of food served promptly. Individual portion sizes could be slightly larger but, then again, you can just order more!

The food was quite bland compared to some other (and in my opinion, a lot better) Indian restaurants in the area. The tables are like those found in a work cafeteria and the music was loud and unpleasant Indian pop music, I do respect decent Indian music too. And I've had a very upset stomach the whole next day. Won't be going back, it was a lot better when it was Bangal lounge.

Fantastic buffet (Mon to Thurs after 5pm) for only £20.90 all you can eat including rice and naan. Unlike usual buffets, the food in this buffet is made fresh and given to you as and when you order. I am vegetarian and loved the tofu with veg curry. Lovely service and staff. Chef is from India and makes 100% authentic indian food. The black lentil daal is creamy and amazing and included in the buffet too if you like. This place is definitely in my top 2 Indian restaurants in Hull. Drinks and dessert are not included in buffet.

Just wow!!! Never been a lover of Indian food but came on a recommendation and soooo glad I did!! Completely changed my opinion on Indian food ! Came with my wife for a date night then 2 weeks later with the lads as I couldn't stop talking about this place then each guy has been back with there partners! Already waiting on a babysitter so I can return!

Love this place, been a few times now a few months apart. Food is always amazing, did the all you can eat buffet tonight, so got to taste loads of different dishes. Great atmosphere and great service from really friendly staff. We'll be back soon for sure.

I dined here as part of a large group of 10 for a birthday celebration, and it did not disappoint, in fact, it was quite the opposite! The menu as a whole was very diverse and I had the enjoyment of tasting some mouthwatering dishes not often seen in other Indian restaurants. I must say, the food as a whole was incredible. I favour spicy food more than the average person and the Banarasi Burner really hit the spot for me. Every single person in the party agreed that the food really set a high standard and I'm happy to say that these high standards continued throughout the night as the staff proved to be extremely attentive and welcoming. Overall, we had a great night and I would recommend Banarasi to anyone who enjoys a taste of India.

Really nice ambience with a menu that is very understandable even for those who have never eaten Indian. The incredibly friendly owner put our two vegetarian friends at ease and they ate very well. Excellent food, I had 3 different types of rice and Honey chicken chilli delicious! Guys, place to super recommend. I would like to point out that the owner very kindly visited us at the table to find out if everything was OK. We will be regular customers because certain kindnesses cannot be forgotten. I was craving Indian cuisine and at Banarasi I found the real thing. One feels that the ingredients are quality and the dishes are carefully crafted. You are intoxicated by the colourful smells and flavours of the spices and you dive into a sensory journey that satiates and satisfies without weighing you down. Okay Hull, You deserve this place, it's ducking, outrageously good. As a person of Indian origin, this place is as good as it gets. The chef, Vikram, is top notch, I mean amongst some of the best chefs in England. I'm well traveled and well fed, I know my food. Their eat as much as you want concept, is NOT A BUFFET, AND NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH CHEAP FOOD. TRY THIS PLACE, if you are not convinced, I'll meet you there and we can talk this out. We went to this restaurant for a company dinner and I fell in love with it. Everything was perfect, from the ambience to the service...the dishes, one better than the other. The lamb Biryani is very tasty, if you love spices and Indian cuisine try it, you won't be disappointed!

I had wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time, the opportunity presented itself with a group of friends. What can I say... A more than positive, excellent experience! Starting with the owner Ree who welcomes customers and stops by the table for a few words of welcome. The wait staff is really efficient and quick and friendly. The kitchen has perfect timing: although we were 9 and had ordered several different dishes, the dishes arrived quickly and all at once. On the quality of the food I can say that everything is really very good: very tender chicken, rice cooked and seasoned to perfection, delicious naan. Absolutely recommended!

Cosy place and owner and guys at the service ready for any kind of explanation and advice for those who are not familiar with Indian cuisine. Great food and excellent wine list. Ordered a takeaway over the phone and went to pick it up. Busy Saturday evening so was late. Staff said the chef is from Delhi, so should be able to make good North India food. Starters are different to your usual Indian restaurants (mainly Bangladeshi chefs). Overall food was good, so definitely worth trying in Hull.

Firstly I will talk about their food quantity..quantity of starters n main course is very less..its not worth to order it...secondly,pilau rice is just jeera rice..n after that taste..its basic..OK OK..definitely not worth it.. The staff was nice but they were behaving like they were in a hurry.. we hadn't finished, but he started to clean Table.. that was disappointing..other than that,ambience was nice n quite..but they need to change themselves n their quantity n quantity of food as well.

Genuine review, food very average! Not terrible but not great either.. travelled an hour because of the good reviews but not sure how genuine the reviews are as have had far better. The mid week "buffet" is a great concept. Small amounts of choice allows you to sample many dishes that you might never order. I had no complaints of any that I ordered, all were delicious.

I am a regular customer of Banarasi, which in the panorama of Indian restaurants has a much better price/quality ratio. This time I tried Chicken Pakora and Egg Rice, nothing to complain about, generous portions, good quality food, well cooked and well seasoned. Very friendly and attentive staff. I would definitely recommend it.

Since I was first invited to this magnificent restaurant I can no longer do without it when I want to eat well and make a good impression I definitely come here' where I am sure to find a cosy place and quality cuisine. the strong point is definitely the owner who is professional, helpful and of a unique courtesy. During the lockdown I also tried their home service and was amazed by the punctuality of the delivery and the generous portions of excellent production.I highly recommend this exquisite experience!

With a group of friends I went to try a cuisine that I did not know and a restaurant that was much appreciated by some family members who had pointed it out in particular for the kindness and courtesy of the owner and staff in contact with customers. We thus ascertained the truth of everything brought to our attention. Variety of choice, quality of products, constant but always discreet service and a very honest bill. We were thrilled and will happily return.

Very characteristic restaurant, with typical furnishings and atmosphere. The food is excellent, with generously portions. The service is courteous and the price very reasonable. The cuisine is varied and from different regions of India. I did not have a full meal, as it was a quick snack, but it was worth tasting many more dishes. I particularly enjoyed the samosas, which were among the best I have ever had, and the vegetarian meatballs. I will be back to try more dishes.

I went to dine at Banarasi with my girlfriend, taking advantage of the all you can eat formula. I had already eaten Indian in the United States (California, where the Indian community is very present in Silicon Valley) so I had a fairly high standard. Banarasi did not disappoint my expectations. The atmosphere is well maintained, the service friendly, but above all the food is excellent. The all you can eat formula allows for even better value for money. The portions are not small, so order a little at a time or you will be in trouble! I will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing!! Really good service and the food was on point as always, I highly recommend the chatpati chaat as a side and the dal dum handi and also the devdas as main, they never disappoint
